TwoTiime Gets In His Lover Boy Bag On “4U”

It’s been a busy few months for Ottawa rapper TwoTiime. The Canadian star has kept his foot on the gas since announcing his deal with Polo G’s ODA in collaboration with Columbia Records. With the major label backing, he’s on pace to make some serious noise in 2024. He came out swinging with the release of “Priceless,” followed it up with the Jackson 5-sampling “One More Chance,” and capped off the year by opening up for Polo G at his sold-out concert in Montreal, Canada.

TwoTiime isn’t slowing down, either. Now that he’s entered a new year, the Canadian rapper came back to set the tone for Valentine’s Day with the release of “4U.” It’s another step in the right direction for the young rapper, who has continued to showcase his evolution with each release. “4U” is a slower effort, one that allows his melodic prowess to take new directions, leaning into more experimental, spacier turf, over a subdued vocal sample. Sure, he’s a rapper but it’s songs like “4U” that shine a spotlight on his potential to expand his sonic palette.

Polo G’s New Artist TwoTiime Makes His ODA Debut With “Priceless”

Ottawa, ON has never been celebrated as a hub for hip-hop. But, in recent years, the growing community has been planting the flag for the city on a global scale. Artists like Night Lovell, Lindasson, City Fidelia, and plenty of others shook up Canada’s hip-hop scene. However, TwoTiime is revving up to take it even further. The Ottawa-based rapper gained a significant buzz during his teenage years with singles like “Keep It Real” and “Hood Cry,” which have garnered millions of views on YouTube alone.

Things have undoubtedly been shaping up in his career as of late. Two years after linking up with Polo G, he signed to the Chicago rapper’s ODA Records and Columbia Records. With the backing of a generational star and a major label on his side, he’s on pace to take Ottawa to new heights with his talents. It’s been over a year since he last released music but with the recent news of his signing, he’s opening up the gates to flood the streets with his debut on ODA/Columbia.

TwoTiime’s Basks In His Glory On “Priceless”

After heavily teasing the single for weeks, TwoTiime enters a new chapter of his career with the release of “Priceless.” The soothing guitar-forward production by Adelso turns into a canvas for TwoTiime as he looks back at the hardships he faced with optimism and a determination to ensure he looks after his family and friends. TwoTiime’s latest single captures his charismatic delivery and aura with infectious melodies and heartfelt songwriting.

“The inspiration behind this song stems from the fact that, where I come from, an opportunity like this feels like a fairy tale,” explains TwoTiime in a statement to HotNewHipHop. “The people around me constantly remind me to stay grounded amidst my achievements. Remaining true to myself is a value I uphold and practice every day.” We’re excited to see what TwoTiime has in store in the coming future. Polo G Signs Ottawa Rapper TwoTiime To ODA Records

Polo G is expanding his empire internationally by signing his latest artist, TwoTiime. Hailing from Ottawa, ON, the Canadian rapper announced that he struck a deal with Polo G’s ODA (Only The Dreamers Records)/Columbia. In a video shared on his Instagram page, TwoTiime receives a bundle of cash from Polo, who advises him, “don’t spend it all at once.” “Dreams 2 reality. TwoTiime’s Ready For His Moment

While TwoTiime’s already emerged as one of the most exciting new artists to come out of Canada, he’s ramping up to break his year-long hiatus on Friday with the release of “Priceless,” marking his debut under ODA/Columbia. The relationship between TwoTiime and Polo G developed over the past two years. The Chicago and the Canadian artist were spotted together at the studio together in Los Angeles before Hall Of Fame‘s release. TwoTiime left quite the impression on him then, and we hope that the two slide through with new music together.

The Ottawa-born rapper began buzzing with releasing his single, “Hood Cry,” a tribute to his late friend FTG Metro. In the following years, he unleashed several other promising singles like “Juice” and “Keep It Real,” which surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. Keep your eyes peeled for his upcoming single, “Priceless,” available on Oct. 6th on all streaming services.

Lil Tjay Canadian Concert Shut Down By Police

Lil Tjay is back on the road these days following a tumultuous year in 2022. The New York rapper was shot last summer, leaving him hospitalized for weeks before he began to regain some sort of normalcy in his life. As a result, he was forced to postpone concert dates and wait it out until his doctor agreed that he was in the right condition to perform. As fans sent their well wishes and prayers during this time, they also anticipated his return to the stage.

This month, Tjay embarked on his tour North of the border. The rapper has been heading across Canada on his recent tour, alongside Toronto rapper Killy. Unfortunately, not everything has been entirely smooth. The rapper allegedly got into an altercation at the West Edmonton Mall, though he still performed his concert. Unfortunately for his Ottawa fans, they won’t be able to catch Tjay as authorities have reportedly shut down the concert.

OPS Shut Down Lil Tjay’s Concert

A day before the concert, the promoter, Diamond Mine Agency, confirmed that Tjay won’t perform. In a statement shared on social media, they explained that a disagreement between Ottawa Police Services and the E.Y. Centre, the venue he was scheduled to perform at, led to the show being nixed entirely. “We sincerely regret to inform you that due to issues that just recently arose between the EY Centre and the Ottawa Police department that tomorrow night’s event with Lil Tjay has been canceled,” The Diamond Mine Agency wrote on Instagram.

“This was a decision made by the venue and the police and is completely out of our control unfortunately,” the statement continued. “We truly value the fans support more then anything and apologize about the inconvenience as we know how excited everyone was for this show.” The promoters said that they worked tirelessly to put the show together and will offer refunds to ticket holders. Lil Tjay nor the Ottawa Police Service have shared a public statement on the matter. However, Killy responded in his Instagram Story, writing, “Police have shut down the show see you next time Ottawa.” We’ll keep you posted on any further updates.
