Ralo Responds To Backlash Over Alleged “Weird” Behavior At Rich Homie Quan’s Funeral

Rich Homie Quan’s funeral service was an emotional, sad, but also uplifting and beautiful ceremony in Atlanta this week. However, according to an eyewitness account from DJ Pretty Boy Tank, there were some disrespectful people in the crowd, including rapper Ralo. “He was sitting behind me in the funeral being weird & talking the entire time .. Even said he almost went live in the services smh,” he alleged. “Buddy kept blowing his nose like a trumpet too … Almost had to curse a lady out for taking a pic of the casket as well .. Yall be acting weird as hell at known people’s funerals.”

According to AllHipHop, Ralo – who previously blasted fake love for Rich Homie Quan – responded to this claim via a social media PSA video. “If you don’t want to see me on the Internet, then you know what you got to do,” he reportedly remarked. “Get off the Internet, b***h. ‘Cause I ain’t. Soon as a n***a say something good about somebody, you d**k riding. Soon as you try to post a n***a that’s dead, you d**k riding. Do y’all motherf***ers ever say anything good?”

Ralo Claps Back

“Not one person on this earth can show Wea I pulled a phone out Inside that man funeral,” Ralo also claimed online following Rich Homie Quan’s funeral. “Every body at the graves site had they phone out but they wanna come to Ralo. Matter fact what other rappers was there other than me and Boosie????” For those unaware, the two MCs previously had beef, but they were able to settle their differences before RHQ passed away. Sadly, Quan could not say the same for some of his other reported conflicts, such as his strained relationship with Young Thug.

Meanwhile, speaking of Young Thug, Ralo recently clowned YSL RICO trial witness Lil Woody for being a special guest at a law class. “Like I said he round this bih living it up,” he wrote on social media once he became amused by the clip he came across. It seems like the Atlanta spitter will continue to defend himself online and give his unfiltered takes on rap happenings.

When I met you I had no idea how our life was gonna change for the good. You got locked up & that time apart brought us closer. Fast forward, on the rise of your career I knew what I signed up for. No one could tell me anything about you, I wasn’t going for it. Support is an understatement!

“I’m still gonna go hard for you til this day,” Williams continued in her caption of a photo dump with Rich Homie Quan. “Never had anything hit me this close. I did all I could to make you smile despite what we’ve been through it taught me to be stronger. All this time I thought I was strong but this got me weak. Our boys worship the ground you walked on. Feel like someone ripped my heart out of my chest.

I couldn’t treat you like an artist because you’re still human. My 1st love & my last. I can’t question God but I can call on him just like I could call on you. You had so much more to do but it’s on us to keep your name alive. I’m hurt, devastated, numb, angry, disappointed, just flat out numb. I do know one thing for certain is that I gave you your flowers while you were here with us & I did my part!

“Idk if I’ll ever be okay!” Williams concluded. “No matter what it was we never spent holidays & birthdays without each other. You’re truly missed & loved by us all. Just want peace, you would always say ‘until death do us part’ but this was way too soon!”

rich homie

The late Rich Homie Quan, who passed away September 5, will have the first posthumous track, “Song Cry”, released on the day of Quan’s memorial services in Atlanta today(September 17).

Song Cry is a real personal and emotional effort from Quan, who recognizes the pitfalls and downsides of fame and celebrity status.

“Aye, this one here personal,” he says in the intro. “I know a lot of my songs, y’all don’t take serious in a way, but I want y’all to turn this one up.”

The song comes on the day of Quan’s funeral in College Park, GA, where the expected crowd is anticipated to shut down several roads in the Southside of Metro Atlanta.

The funeral, which is being termed a “celebration of life,” is taking place at World Changers Church International. Fans will also be able to view the rapper’s body beforehand through purchasing tickets. After the funeral, there will be a repass celebrating Rich Homie Quan’s life at The Bank, a club-like venue in Atlanta.

“Song Cry” is as somber and emotional as its title suggests. Rich Homie Quan even addresses the way his biggest songs are perceived, and urges listeners to take this particular release more seriously. It’s not hard to see why. The beat, which is driven by a tinkling piano and a driving drum pattern, sees Quan lean into the more strained parts of his vocals. He’s really laying his feelings and his singing voice bare while he raps about the difficult things he endured during his life. “This a song cry, I know you hear that sh*t,” he says during the pre-chorus. “Listen to the song cry. You gotta feel that sh*t.” Rich Homie Quan even sounds like his former Rich Gang partner, Young Thug, at times during the song.

A Posthumous Rich Homie Quan Album Could Potentially Be In The Works

Since the sorrowful news of Rich Homie Quan’s tragic death, fans of the “Spin” rapper have continued to listen through his discography.

What is even more heartbreaking for fans is he had just wrapped up a new project shortly before his death, which could mean a posthumous album is on the way. This news is all according to the late musician’s father, Corey Lamar. On September 7, Lamar sat down with WSB-TV’s Michael Seiden to discuss his son’s life up to the last moments.

“We had just completed a 20- or 25-song project, and we were in the process of scheduling two video shoots off our project,” he said. “Quan has probably over 2,000 unreleased songs. But once he gets in a mode to record those songs become old to him. And when they become old he wants to focus on the new stuff. He has a catalog in the vault. He has a ton of music that the fans need to hear.”

So, who could fans expect to hear on the project should it ever be released? In the chat, Lamar shared that Rich Homie Quan just wrapped up collaborations with 2 Chainz and Plies.

Posthumous album are an extremely delicate situation. Still, many of rap’s fallen figures including Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun, DMX, XXXTentacion, Young Dolph, and Pop Smoke’s estates approved the release of a project after the untimely deaths. Many of which of gone on to shift the culture.
