Halle Bailey Says Her Debut EP Is “Definitely” Dropping This Year

Halle Bailey says that she’ll “definitely” be dropping her first EP by the end of the year. She spoke about the highly anticipated project during a recent interview with Cosmopolitan. The update comes after the release of her debut solo single, “Angel,” last month.

The conversation began with Bailey explaining how her recent life experiences, such as starring in The Little Mermaid, have influenced the direction of her music. “Ariel was my college experience. She was the one to say, ‘Look, look what you have in you. You can.’ Nettie was the same type of lesson, almost in a spiritual way. These characters are speaking to me and teaching me,” she said. “It’s cool to learn things about life through their eyes. And all musical inspiration really just comes from life experiences. Love has been a really big one for me too, because that’s something I’m experiencing for the first time.”

“This has been a really beautiful transformative time for me. I have all this new material to write about,” she explained. “I was very creatively inspired, and then from there, I fell in love. And so I really just played with those themes in my music. Sound-wise, it’s a little modern R&B-ish, with all the jazz elements and hints of pop that I love.”

Halle Bailey Prepares For Release Of Solo EP

In addition to the upcoming EP, Bailey will also be starring as Young Nettie in the film adaptation of The Color Purple musical directed by Blitz Bazawule. Other members of the cast include Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Ciara, H.E.R., Aunjanue Ellis, Colman Domingo, Danielle Brooks and Phylicia Pearl Mpasi. With the release of her debut EP, both her and her sister, Chloe Bailey, will have dropped solo work. Chloe released In Pieces, earlier this year. Drake Says He Might Reveal “For All The Dogs” Release Date At Vegas Show Tonight

Drake’s For All The Dogs quickly became one of the most anticipated albums of 2023 upon its release date, and the mystery and anticipation behind its rollout has only added to that. Moreover, the Toronto superstar spent a lot of time during his ongoing “It’s All A Blur” tour with 21 S*vage addressing this project. Sometimes, he gave hints about features and how he feels about it, and other times, he spoke on its as-of-yet unknown release date. Even though it’s dropping soon, its previouscover art reveal left many fans thinking it would drop that week, and that wasn’t the case. However, now we’re going through that doubt all over again thanks to some recent remarks the 6 God made during his first Las Vegas stop of the tour.

Furthermore, Drake expressed that For All The Dogs is “real close,” and that he might drop the release date at his next Vegas show. This video comes from presumably his first stop on Friday (September 1), so maybe tonight’s show (September 2) will yield some results. Still, this isn’t anything other than speculation, as it’s hard to tell for casual fans and viewers whether this is even from that Vegas show. Perhaps the opportunity came and went, but fans are still holding out hope for tonight.

Drake Hints At Revealing For All The Dogs‘ Release Date Soon

Despite all this anticipation, it’s also very understandable that The Boy hasn’t dropped For All The Dogs yet. After all, he’s on a wildly successful tour that ran into technical difficulties, rescheduled and canceled dates, and brought on so much star power in the form of special guests. As such, it’s difficult to stay fully in album mode when you’re on the road, but if anyone can do it, it’s Drake. When you made that much money and that many headlines over pretty much anything, it’s a great press run to capitalize on.

Now, what remains to be seen is if For All The Dogs will come out during this tour or after. It would be nice to see the OVO mogul revitalize his joint trek with some new material to debut. On the other hand, we bet a full tour dedicated to this next project would make a load of cash as well. With that in mind, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Offset Teases Album Release Date With Michael Jackson-Inspired Outfit

Offset recently hopped on Instagram, showing off another Michael Jackson-inspired outfit. The artist rocks a look similar to what MJ wore in the iconic promotional video for his 1995 LP, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I. Instead of sporting the original “777” on his arm, however, Offset’s sleeve reads “1013.” The post seemingly teased the release date of his upcoming album, which could drop on October 13. “Renaissance,” the carousel is captioned. One of the photos showcases him joining Beyonce on her “Renaissance” world tour last night. In the other photos, he stands in front of a group of four wearing gas masks, with white jackets reading “Crisis Response Team” on the back. This is far from Offset’s first nod to the King of Pop, as he frequently pays tribute with his looks.

The LP’s release date is approaching, with Offset revealing just last week that it’s finally finished. “Albummmmmmm!!!!!! Turned in!!!!!!!” he wrote on Twitter, sparking excited reactions from fans. During an interview for Apple Music 1 last month, Offset said that the album would arrive sometime in October, however, he had yet to share an official release date. “Yeah, we’re coming in October but right now we’re just applying pressure,” he shared. “Creatively, content-wise, I’m going to just keep my rollout going.”

Offset’s New Album Could Drop On October 13

He went on to explain that the rollout began with the release of his track with Cardi B, “Jealousy,” in July. “With this album, I’m definitely going to be showing way more personality, way more of who Offset is, creatively,” he explained. Offset’s next project is also set to be jam-packed with high-profile features. Travis Scott, Latto, Future, and more are confirmed to appear on the upcoming LP.

Earlier this year, Offset also revealed that the album will feature the last song he ever recorded with his late Migos groupmate, Takeoff. “This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” the artist explained. “I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Offset.

50 Cent’s “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” Will Return With Season 3 In December

50 Cent’s built an incredibly successful empire around his Starz shows, and the future looks bright for his other projects with Fox and other partners. Still, there’s a whole lot more to discover, unearth, and enjoy when it comes to the “Power” universe and all its spinoffs. Moreover, one of the most acclaimed installments in the whole franchise will return for its third season later this year. The network announced on Monday (August 28) that “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” will premiere on December 1. Not only that, but this means that it’ll come out shortly after the second season of “Power Book IV: Force” wraps up this year, and that premieres this Friday (September 1).

Furthermore, the last we heard of Kanan and the crew was in October of 2022, so fans have been waiting for this for some time. “They won’t all be able to complete this intensely personal quest, but for those who do, the destination may reveal the most terrifying secret of all,” Starz wrote in a synopsis of the upcoming season in the “Power” series. “There is no right and wrong or good and evil. There are no absolutes. In the end, there’s just you.”

Stills From The Upcoming Third Season Of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”

What’s more is that “Book IV” is equally as beloved and anticipated, with lead actor Joseph Sikora telling HipHopDX of its greatness recently. “Let me tell you, the second season is way better,” he said of the “Power” spinoff. “It’s like, we got Chicago- the first season, it didn’t. I don’t think so. I think they used Chicago as a backdrop. You’re telling me there’s one Black gang in Chicago and they run everything? Nobody’s trying to light that place up? There’s not divisions within that? The first season, the Latin thing- listen, she was great but that’s it? Chicago’s one of the most Latin cities in the entire continent. It’s the third-largest Mexican population in the world.”

In addition, Sikora spoke of the production changes that new showrunner Gary Lennon brought to improve the series. “Give props to Gary Lennon,” he remarked. “He was the showrunner for ‘Power’ Season 5 and Season 6. He’s from Hell’s Kitchen and his brothers were gangsters (Westies). He is the voice of the Tommy Egan character so it’s going to be authentic. Watch Season 2. It’s as legit as a season of ‘Ozark.’” For more news and the latest updates on the “Power” franchise, come back to HNHH.

Drake Fans Hope He Drops “For All The Dogs” On International Dog Day

It’s Friday August 25 as of writing this article, and Drake fans are scrambling because For All The Dogs, his highly anticipated new album, didn’t drop like they thought it would. Moreover, his reveal of the cover art earlier this week led many to believe that this was finally the week we would get it. However, when midnight hit, OVO hopefuls everywhere checked their streaming services, and it was to no avail. It’s not like the 6 God has been teasing this album for months or years like some of his previous projects. Regardless, it doesn’t make the sting any easier to handle in the moment for fans, and they’re looking for any way out possible.

Furthermore, Drake fans have a new beacon of hope, and it’s nothing other than International Dog Day. That’s tomorrow (Saturday, August 26), and would explain the cover art reveal and be hilariously on brand. If there’s any artist that can drop outside of expected Friday release dates and still get the same attention, it’s him. As unlikely and corny as it sounds, it also sounds like exactly the kind of thing that the 36-year-old would probably get a kick out of.

Drake Fans Look To International Dog Day For Hope

All we can hope for is that Lil Yachty catches wind of this speculation, because it would probably make for another funny moment. Recently, he clowned Drake fans for thinking For All The Dogs would release today when there was no such announcement online. “y’all stup*d, no body even said for all the dogs was comin out tonight,” Yachty tweeted. In a separate video, the Let’s Start Here creative plugged his new single and said that he might drop a song every week for the rest of the year.

Meanwhile, another harsh reality to reckon with is that we might be waiting for this album for a while. At the very least, we know that it exists and is heavy on the Canadian superstar’s mind right now. With features from Bad Bunny, Nicki Minaj, and whoever else makes a splash, how could it not? For more news and the latest updates on Drake and For All The Dogs, stick around on HNHH.

Drake Fans In Shambles After Waking Up Without “For All The Dogs”

Drake fans have been at the edge of their seats awaiting his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs. Marking his fourth album in two years, the Canadian rapper initially announced the project as a companion piece to his book, Titles Ruin Everything. In the months that followed, he hinted that it would arrive before the summer ends. In late July, he even suggested that the album would arrive on August 11th. However, the Boy never followed up with a confirmation and fans have speculated each week that the album would eventually drop on Friday.

It felt like a promising week for Drake to release his next album. He not only released the cover art for the project, courtesy of Adonis, but fans also began putting the pieces together. International Dog Day lands on Aug 26th, making the 25th a prime day for the Toronto MC to unveil his next album. However, it was a tweet from Amazon Music’s Twitter account that fanned the flames of anticipation. “Drizzy’s son has a future as a cover artist. New @drake august 25th!!” A since-deleted tweet from their account read. Billboard similarly claimed that Drake’s album would be dropping on the 25th, although they’ve since corrected their claims.

Drake Doesn’t Drop & Fans Are P*ssed

Needless to say, there’s a group of individuals that aren’t necessarily pleased that Drake didn’t actually release the album. The rapper never confirmed that the album would drop. Still, all signs pointed to an August 25th release date. However, at a recent concert, Drake also suggested that the album would arrive before his birthday in October, which seemed to mean that we might not receive the album for a few more weeks.

At this point, there’s still limited information on the album available but Drizzy’s shared a few clues in recent weeks. There has been speculation that J. Cole would appear on the tracklist after the Fayetteville native joined Drake to perform in Montreal, Quebec last month. Drake also confirmed that Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny would appear on the project

It’s a nice mixture of both. I think this project is a really fun canvas for me to play with my rap skills and talk about what’s going on in my life. Drake will officially be releasing his next studio album, For All The Dogs, on Friday, August 25. Amazon Music confirmed the news in a post on social media, Tuesday. It’s unclear whether Amazon intended to reveal the date now, as Drake has still yet to announce it anywhere.

Replying to a post from OVO Sound sharing the cover artwork for the album, Amazon Music’s Twitter account wrote: “Drizzy’s son has a future as a cover artist. new @drake august 25th!!” Fans on the platform quickly assumed the post was a mistake on Amazon Music’s part. “Stg if drake postpones this album bc yall dropped this date Alexa’s gonna get it,” one replied. “Amazon of all people leaking the date is hilarious,” another wrote.

The closest Drake has come to confirming the date came during a recent stop on the It’s All a Blur tour. He told the audience in New York City: “Make new friends. If you drink, drink some liquor. If you smoke, smoke some weed. And if you like somebody, like my dad says, keep f*cking. I will be back soon. I have an album dropping for you in, like, two weeks or some sh*t. But until then, just know, you’re always with me and I’m always thinking of you. Everything I do is for you. Every time I step in that booth, I hope I make you proud.” Check out Amazon Music’s reveal of the release date below.

“For All The Dogs” Release Date: Drake’s New Album Reportedly Dropping This Week

Ever since Drake first announced his For All The Dogs LP along with his new poetry book earlier this summer, we’ve been seriously curious to see what the Canadian has up his sleeve. Fans are already speculating that his frequent collaborator Travis Scott will be joining him on the tracklist, and the 36-year-old suggested that we could hear him returning to the sounds of “old Drake,” as hip-hop heads have been begging him for some time now.

The “Way 2 Sexy” hitmaker hasn’t confirmed anything quite yet, but on Sunday (August 20) afternoon, @ThePopTingz on Twitter reported that we could be hearing new heat from Champagne Papi as soon as this week. “Drake’s new album, ‘For All The Dogs,’ will reportedly be released next Friday, August 25th,” they wrote. If true, this could mean that Drake plans to surprise us with a single over the next few days to generate hype for his work.

For All The Dogs May Finally Be Coming This Weekend

At this point, we also know that Nicki Minaj will reunite with Drake on For All The Dogs. This is the collaboration that the internet is arguably most looking forward to hearing. In the past, we’ve heard them make magic together on tracks like “Moment 4 Life” and “Make Me Proud,” as well as “Only” and “Truffle Butter” with Lil Wayne. The father of one has been building the buzz by wearing canine-themed attire during his travels across the country this summer, and we’re willing to bet that we’ll see more of those before his album arrives in the near future.

The timing for Drake’s For All The Dogs album feels undeniably odd considering he’s currently in the midst of touring his past three albums alongside 21 Sav. Regardless, we’re sure he’ll perfectly incorporate his new hits into his career-spanning setlist when his highly anticipated LP does arrive. See some of Drizzy’s most recent on-stage shenanigans at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Iggy Azalea Confirms Release Date For Her Next Single

Iggy Azalea recently took to social media, providing her followers with an update. Earlier this week, she had claimed that she’d be unveiling some details about new music soon. This got fans excited to hear more, and they immediately began badgering the rapper for information. One fan even shared a SpongeBob SquarePants meme, letting her know that she couldn’t get away with being so vague.

Fortunately for followers, however, Iggy soon provided an eagerly-awaited release date. The Australian hitmaker revealed that she plans to release her next single later this month, on August 25. Listeners can’t wait to hear her latest offering, sounding off in the comments section. She teased the new release earlier in the summer, telling fans, “I’m really excited about the concept of this one.” She added, “It’s funny, but will probably make some people mad. Really there’s no reason to be, I just have a feeling.”

Iggy Azalea’s New Song To Be Released August 25

Though supporters look forward to hearing the song, some recent headlines have put a damper on things. The news comes amid current drama surrounding Iggy Azalea’s alleged support of Tory Lanez. Lanez finally received his sentence for his 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion earlier this week. Apparently, Iggy wrote a letter to the judge, in which she claimed that she didn’t believe he is an abuser. As expected, she immediately began to receive backlash when the letter went public. She later took to social media, claiming that she never intended for the letter to be read by anyone but the judge.

She further said that she hasn’t been in contact with Lanez for some time, adding that she doesn’t “‘support’ anyone.” With that being said, she claimed in the letter that she had already hired Lanez to be the executive producer of her next album prior to his conviction. “If [Tory] is able to remain in the United States after he has served time, I would employ him without hesitation as an executive producer on my next album,” it reads.
