Live Nation’s Request To Dismiss Lawsuit In Drakeo The Ruler’s Death Denied By Judge

It’s been just over one year since Drakeo the Ruler’s tragic murder. The fatal stabbing occurred backstage at the Once Upon a Time Festival in his hometown of Los Angeles in December of 2022.

In February of that year, Drakeo‘s brother, Ralfy the Plug, is responsible for filing a lawsuit against Live Nation. On behalf of his brother and the rest of their Stinc Team crew, the “Slime Me Up” rapper claims that the company is partially responsible for the targeted attack.

However, in July of last year, the world was witness to Live Nation subsequently filing a motion against it. In doing so, they were formally requesting the dismissal of the case. They claim that they cannot be held responsible for the fatal attack. The company cites the fact that this is the first incident to occur as the reasoning.

However, according to new reports, Judge Yolanda Orozco is officially siding with Ralfy. She says that the L.A. rapper doesn’t have to prove that a “prior similar” attack happened in order for Live Nation to be held accountable for their role.

“Although the occurrence of a mob/gang attack may have occurred for the first time, defendants may nevertheless be held liable if the facts show that the danger was foreseeable and/or preventable. […] The fact that defendants knew security would be needed for the event supports the finding that the performing artists’ safety was a concern for defendants and foreseeable to defendants,” says the Judge.

Furthermore, Ralfy is claiming that security at the venue is responsible for failing to search every vehicle entering the event. Additionally, he says there was no security present in the VIP area, where the attack took place.

Long Live The Truth

In September last year, the “Impatient Freestyle” rapper’s estate released the first full-length posthumous project from Drakeo. Keep The Truth Alive effectively continues his legacy as one of the most singular talents in the rap game with his unique vocabulary and whispery flows.

His last release prior to his death is So Cold I Do Em 2, which features songs like “Whole Lotta Ice” and “300 Raccs.”

Gangsta Boo’s Partner Says He Discovered The News Of Her Death Through Instagram

It’s only been two weeks since 2023 kicked off with some terrible news. On New Year’s Day, Gangsta Boo passed away at the age of 43. The news was confirmed by an Instagram post from her Three 6 Mafia collaborator, DJ Paul. The official cause of death is still unclear. However, it’s believed to be from a drug overdose.

The hip-hop world remembers her for her monumental work as a pioneer for women in Southern hip-hop. At just 15 years old, she joined Three 6 Mafia and makes appearances on the group’s first five studio albums. She subsequently paved the way for more women in the scene.

In a recent interview with ABC24 News, her partner, Emmet Flores, talks about how he found about her passing. He says he was watching football on New Year’s Day when someone on Instagram actually hit him up to inform him of the news.

Additionally, he says they were just talking over the phone the night prior. “I was just talking to her the night before. She performed with 8Ball and MJG, and I told her I loved her. I told her be safe. She sent me a picture of us on New Year’s from 2017 and I sent a picture back,” he recalls.

Elsewhere in the interview, Flores reveals that one of the couple’s favorite things to do together was praying under the moon. “We would pray together under the moon.. a lot of stuff surrounding love and light and just pray for the well-being of one another. You know, figure, if you’re praying with love, then you know, what could be wrong?” he says.

The “Where Dem Dollas At” rapper was known to live a rather private life, but her and Flores had allegedly been together since 2014.

The Memphis native’s final release before her untimely death was her appearance on Latto‘s single, “FTCU.” Also featuring GloRilla, the track finds Gangsta Boo uniting with two of this generation’s most talented rappers.

Furthermore, it interpolates Three 6 Mafia’s classic 1995 hit, “Tear Da Club Up.” In October of last year, Boo also teamed up with R&B singer Hannah Monds for “Big Momma.”

Long Live Gangsta Boo. Comment your favorite song or verse of hers down below. Finally, make sure you stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates.

Lana Del Rey Poses Topless On Upcoming Album Artwork

After delivering Chemtrails Over The Country Club and Blue Banisters in 2021, Lana Del Rey took something of a well-deserved break last year. However, now that 2023 is settling in, the “Dealer” singer is more than eager to begin releasing new music again.

Her ninth studio album was previously announced as Did You Know There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. Aside from that, the public knew little – until the 37-year-old gave an update earlier this week.

In a black-and-white Instagram post that violates nudity guidelines, Lana poses topless. She sits on the floor, one arm behind her head. Her button-down shirt is left open, exposing her right breast. As NME reports, the NSFW image is the alternate artwork for the project.

The other accompanying photos see the singer in a lace bra and cardigan. A silk bow also hangs in her hair. Along with the cover, Lizzy Grant also gave fans a look at the tracklist and features. Standout titles include “Candy Necklace,” “Taco Truck x V8,” and “Paris, Texas.”

She was the sole guest appearance on Taylor Swift’s Midnights late last year. Still, Lana opted to work with all male collaborators for her album. Father John Misty, Bleachers, Tommy Genesis, and Jon Batiste will all appear on the forthcoming project in different capacities.

Lana’s initial release date for Ocean Blvd was March 10. “March 24 now, thanks,” she wrote to her followers earlier this week. “Box set, and merch.”

In December she shared her “Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd” single. It was produced by the vocalist herself, alongside Jack Antonoff, Drew Erickson, and Zach Dawes.

Mindy Kaling’s “Velma” Series Criticized For Sexualizing Teenage Characters

For many, Scooby-Doo undoubtedly remains a nostalgic childhood favourite well into adulthood. Even the old school cartoons can conjure up a laugh or a smile when you need it, but of course, Hollywood couldn’t help but give the franchise the prequel treatment. Earlier this month, The Office actress Mindy Kaling premiered her Velma series. So far, though, the critics seem to be giving it two thumbs down.

The first two episodes of the adult animated series landed on Hulu and Crave earlier this week. While the mother of two is on double duty as the executive producer and voice of the titular character, she’s also joined by a star-studded lineup. Sam Richardson brings to life the first Black Shaggy, while Constance Wu plays Daphne Blake.

Additionally, we hear from familiar voices like Glenn Howerton, Debby Ryan, Shay Mitchell, Jane Lynch, and even NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns.

The series certainly sounds as though it has everything necessary to succeed, so where did they go wrong? According to Twitter users, the hyper-sexualization of high school characters is obviously a big red flag.

Various videos circulating online show clips from Velma. In one of them, a group of teenage girls are in the locker room, their figures obviously emphasized to attract attention. “These are supposed to be high school girls,” one frustrated user says from behind the camera in their Twitter post.

While Kaling’s series is on a different streamer, some are comparing it to the Netflix Original Big Mouth. Created by Nick Kroll, that project has earned a lot of backlash for similar reasons as it follows middle schoolers, specifically on their journey through puberty.

“STOP HATE WATCHING ‘VELMA’ OR WE’LL END UP WITH 8 MORE SEASONS LIKE ‘BIG MOUTH,” one social media user pleaded. Another wrote, “Everyone can tell [the show is] awful, but nobody can articulate why… It’s like it was intentionally designed to annoy everyone equally.”

Keep scrolling further for more Twitter reactions to Mindy Kaling’s Velma. Afterward, let us know in the comments if you plan to tune into the new series.

Tony Yayo Reflects On Studio Sessions With Ye, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent & Eminem

Tony Yayo recently sat down for a sprawling interview with DJ Vlad. During the pair’s lengthy chat, the 44-year-old dishes on a number of pop culture and hip-hop topics.

In one of the clips, he talks about being in the studio with a number of high-profile names. This evidently includes fellow G-Unit rapper 50 Cent, but also Dr. Dre, Ye and Eminem.

During part of the sit-down, Yayo talks about the famous back-and-forth between 50 Cent and Kanye in 2007. On March September 11 that year, both artists dropped their respective third studio albums. 50’s Curtis and Kanye’s Graduation subsequently went head-to-head on the charts in a battle for the game’s most popular rapper at the time. Of course, the Chicago native came out on top, selling nearly one million copies in its first week.

“I’ve been in the studio with Kanye a couple of times. I remember him coming to Dre’s studio, ’cause everybody used to come to Dre’s studio. See, that’s why I’m so appreciative, ’cause those experiences for me, I would never forget. Forget the cars.. to be in the studio with Dr. Dre and Eminem, that was my dream,” reveals Yayo.

Another rapper he’s spent time with in the studio is Eminem. “Then we in the studio in Detroit.. it’s cold as a b*tch, we out there with Eminem. This [is] f*ckin’ Eminem, this dude just sold 16 million records. We used to go to L.A. with Dre and then we’d go mess with Em,” reflects the New York native.

Ultimately, it certainly seems as though Yayo is reflecting back on these experiences with gratitude. “That’s why I’m so humble, because my dreams came true, man. I might not have as much cars, chains and b*tches as any other rappers [but] it’s not about that. It’s about the experience, man,” says the 44-year-old.

Elsewhere in the interview, the G-Unit rapper shares his thoughts on Tory Lanez going to jail. “I mean, it could be rough. People are not used to the conditions. You nobody, you just a number. They gon’ make you feel like you’re not R. Kelly or Bill Cosby, they tryna make you feel like you just a number, and that’s what you are, just like everybody else,” he says on his own personal experiences behind bars.

What do you think about Yayo reminiscing on these legendary studio sessions? Comment below. Finally, makes sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and stories.

Cardi B Sets Twitter & IG Ablaze With New Pic Of Her In The Studio

Even though it’s been a while since her last album, Cardi B is still reigning as one of the most hyped and beloved rappers working today. Her business partner Brooklyn Johnny, who was instrumental in getting her on Atlantic Records, posted a pic of Cardi B in the studio on Instagram. Furthermore, the comments section and other parts of social media lit up with excitement. Even if we’re all excited for her McDonald’s Super Bowl commercial with Offset, some new music would be huge.

“Y’ALL READY?!” wrote Johnny on his Instagram post. In it, Cardi is sat down with a mic close by, whether fresh off a verse take or about to jump in. In the comments, many responded with fire emojis, exclaimed excitement, but also some skepticism. “Don’t tease us with this type of promo if it’s not an album,” one user wrote.

While the “Hot S**t” rapper’s career has been monumental, it’s been unfortunate to see her success often come with some baggage. Recently, fans dragged her on social media after she complained about rising grocery store prices, which some thought was out of touch. However, the typical social media echo chamber can’t dampen excitement for the music.

Furthermore, fans have been waiting on new Cardi for a long, long time. “I mean yes it’s been 5 years,” one fan wrote, with another adding “Stop playing with us Johnny.” In addition, whenever new material gets teased, you always have the hesitant fans who have been played before. “If it’s another bluff we’ll go to the streets to protest!” another commenter posted.

Additionally, some new potential promo material and interviews could also be pointing to a new release from her soon. N.O.R.E. recently invited her to appear on Drink Champs after they had a “great conversation.” In that meet-up, maybe we’ll learn more about her process, the build-up to this next step, and how it’s felt to be away for so long.

Still, are you excited for new music coming (hopefully) soon from Cardi B? Even if you haven’t listened to her in a while, let us know in the comments down below. Also, check out some more Twitter reactions to her teased return down below. As always, come back to HNHH for rumored drops, new music teases, and the latest movements in the rap game.

“Crazy In Love”: Blueface Tells His Mom He’s More Mature Than Her

The weekend is upon us once again, which means it’s time for another episode of Crazy In Love. Whether you love Blueface and Chrisean Rock, or love to hate on them, the couple’s on-screen antics have been bringing undeniable entertainment to audiences all around the nation.

Last week, we heard the two get into a lover’s quarrel. The 25-year-old was insisting upon calling his partner by a derogatory name that upset her. “You call me a bitch all the time, bro,” the reality starlet whines to her man in front of the camera. In the previous episode, he clapped back, “Okay, and you are one. I’ll call you a bitch right now! ‘Cuz that’s what you are.”

In the same show, fans saw an appearance from Wack 100. He was quick to label Chrisean as a “distraction” for Blueface. In the time since, DJ Akademiks has also spoken out in agreeance – particularly after the 22-year-old admitted to hitting the rapper in the head with a glass cup earlier this month.

On this week’s edition of Crazy In Love, it looks like we may get a break from the couple’s incessant bickering. Instead, the latest previews show the “Thotiana” artist preparing his other half to see his family. He even gets brutally honest with his mother in one of the circulating clips.

“I don’t know why you think that you’re special,” Blueface tells Karlissa Saffold in a video posted to @theneighborhoodtalk. Sensing her immediate disappointment, he back tracks, saying, “You very special, don’t get it twisted. You my mom and everything.”

The family matriarch comes back at him with, “You just said you have no remorse, like I’m leaving here with that!” In response, he drops a bomb, telling the woman who raised him that he feels as though he’s “more mature than her.”

“Love you, mother, but you just not my type of woman I guess,” Blueface concludes. “Not my type of lady.”

The same clip then cuts to a conversation between Chrisean and her man’s sister, who were able to remain composed during their chat. When the rest of the family joined in though, things became physical.

See this weekend’s preview for yourself below, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Logan Paul Apologizes For CryptoZoo Failure, Plans To Give Out Refunds

In 2021, Logan Paul officially launched his NFT-game, CryptoZoo. It’s “an autonomous ecosystem that allows ZooKeepers to buy, sell, and trade exotic animals and hybrids. CryptoZoo incorporates cryptocurrency and Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) into a simple, fun game with familiar mechanics.” Of course, this is according to a since-deleted description on its official site.

Paul is responsible for selling images of animal NFTs within the game. He’s also responsible for subsequently telling players that they’d be able to hatch them and breed the animals. In doing so, they’d be able to win coins in a cryptocurrency called $ZOO.

However, later in 2021, YouTuber Coffeezilla put out a docu-series on his channel as an attempt to expose the game as non-functional. After making millions through the sales of NFTs within CryptoZoo, it seemed as though the podcaster had abandoned the project completely. This is because he seemed to have stopped mentioning it. As a result, many were left to believe it was a scam.

After facing public criticism for CryptoZoo ever since, the new WWE wrestler is finally addressing the situation. He does so in a video posted to his Twitter account on Friday (January 13). He begins by denouncing his attitude towards Coffeezilla’s accusations and denies scamming anyone through the game.

“That’s what I’d do if I was him; milk the sh*t out of this. He’s probably going to, he’s good, he’s very good. The more he says and the more he continues to spread this misinformation that this was any sort of con or scam, the more I have for the lawsuit that I am filing,” he initially said in response on an episode of his podcast, Impaulsive.

In his new update, however, he goes on to detail his plans to give back $1.3 million in rewards. This will go to players who ultimately feel disappointment in the game. “Step 1, Jeff and I are going to burn our ZooTokens, so we have no financial upside in the game and it will add value to holder tokens. Step 2, we want to offer a rewards program for players who are disappointed in the status of the game, so essentially, you’re gonna be able to burn your base egg or your base animal for the mint price, which was 0.1ETH or the equivalent in BNB,” says the 27-year-old.

“I am personally committing 1,000 ETH to this, which is about $1.3 million right now, for players who want to get out. Step 3, obviously finish and deliver the game, as outlined in the white paper by completing the egg bridge from ETH to BSC for base animals and base eggs, completing the marketplace and obviously, completing the release your animals into the wild, to accrue your yield function,” he continues afterwards.

Paul says there is currently an internal investigation going on. He plans to pursue legal action against “whomever needs to be held accountable.” It will certainly be interesting to hear the findings.

What are your thoughts on the whole CryptoZoo failure? Comment down below. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest pop culture news and updates.

Moneybagg Yo Says He Doesn’t Have Management

Moneybagg Yo is quickly becoming one of the most popular rappers in the game. Thanks to his hard-hitting sound and several hit songs, he continues to put on for the South’s booming scene.

During a recent brief interview, however, he surprisingly reveals that he doesn’t even have a management team.

During the Rap Snacks Disrupt Event, hip-hop media personality Supa Cindy asked the 31-year-old how he chooses what to participate in on the business side of his career.

“At this moment, I really don’t have management, you know what I’m sayin’? I feel like my team, CMG, Ellis and Bread Gang, all of us align together and we make things happen. And we make it look good, look at where we’re at now, you know what I’m sayin’? So at this point in time, unfortunately I don’t, but you know, it is what it is,” reveals the “Time Today” rapper.

Regardless, the 31-year-old has certainly been seeing plenty of success lately. Yo Gotti signed Moneybagg to his label, Collective Music Group (CMG) in 2016. Just last year, the team dropped their first compilation mixtape, Gangsta Art. Moneybagg makes several appearances on the 27-track project. This includes two of the most popular songs, “Steppers” and his solo track, “See Wat I’m Sayin.”

Of course, the Memphis native is still fresh off the release of his newest single, “On Wat U On.” Featuring GloRilla, the track finds the two CMG signees going back and forth in the format of a couple arguing.

Additionally, it seems as though the “Wockesha” rapper is gearing up to drop another project. Last Sunday (January 8), he took to his social media accounts to begin teasing a new 22-track tape. His last album, A Gangsta’s Pain, arrived in 2021. “My Album Is A Heartless Edition Hope Y’all Ready,” he writes in his tweet.

What are your thoughts on Moneybagg Yo not having a management team? Comment below. Finally, make sure you stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates and stories.

Kim Kardashian “Hates” Kanye West’s New Wife Bianca Censori According To Insider

When your past and your present overlap, sometimes it’s not as easy to reconcile as you might want. According to insider reports, Kim Kardashian has a strong dislike towards Kanye West’s new wife, Bianca Censori. Moreover, she’s an architectural designer at Yeezy HQ who West married in a private ceremony.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – OCTOBER 09: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian head out of their hotel on October 09, 2021 in New York City. (Photo by Gotham/GC Images)

“Kim hates her,” said an insider. Sources claimed that she’s “hated” her for a long time, yet the reason is unknown. Allegedly, people working at Yeezy HQ knew that the reality TV star didn’t like Censori. Furthermore, we don’t know how much of this is just a personal issue or if there were more serious fears at play. “She’s pretty. And Kim hates pretty girls,” added a source.

Of course, without any sign from Kim herself, this is all just speculative. However, given the Chicago rapper’s recent rhetoric and behavior, it’s not shocking to hear rumors of more conflict. Back to Censori, according to Page Six, she has a master’s degree in architecture and has worked at the company for several years. Still, it seems Kanye’s particularly fond of architecture, as he redesigned plenty of buildings with his team.

TMZ reported Friday that the Yeezy boss married Bianca in a private ceremony. Although they reportedly did not get a marriage certificate to legalize the union, they both wore wedding rings on an outing. Moreover, onlookers recently spotted the two on what seemed to be a date at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills.

While Ye’s harmful comments distanced him from the mainstream, don’t think that he’s fully slowed down. In December, he released the non-streaming track “Censori Overload” or “Someday We’ll All Be Free.” In it, he raps “And the Bible said, ‘I can’t have any more sex ’til marriage.”

Meanwhile, Daily Mail reported that the couple’s honeymoon was at the Amangiri resort in Utah’s Grand Circle of National Parks and Monuments last week. Moreover, this news comes two months after Ye and Kim finalized their divorce.

What do you think about Kim Kardashians alleged “hate” for Kanye West’s new wife, Bianca Censori? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, stay logged in to HNHH for the latest reported celebrity beef and updates in the Kim and Ye saga.
