Nicki Minaj speaks, and the Barbz (sometimes) listen. With Pink Friday 2 due out on December 8, Minaj’s birthday, the call-and-response is active as ever. Last weekend, Minaj played snippets of unreleased tracks, pondered releasing an EP of said tracks, and teased a newly recorded track “Let Me Calm Down,” which she described as “one of my faves.”

After challenging the Barbz to get #TellUsNicki trending worldwide yesterday, November 8, Minaj rewarded her fan base this morning, November 9, by revealing herself on the cover of Vogue‘s December Issue. Within the accompanying profile, Minaj discussed a range of topics, including what Pink Friday 2 will sound like, but she’s still keeping one secret to herself.

“Minaj has not publicly revealed the name of her son, whom she prefers to call Papa Bear,” Vogue‘s Rob Haskell wrote. “She and [Minaj’s husband, Kenneth] Petty navigated his infancy with no help whatsoever save for an occasional brief visit from a grandparent.” However, the cover spread features a photo of Minaj cradling Papa Bear, whose name has been a point of speculation since his birth on September 30, 2020.

Ahead of Pink Friday 2, which will enjoy a supporting tour in 2024, Minaj has dropped singles “Last Time I Saw You” and “Super Freaky Girl,” becoming Minaj’s third-career No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also shared “Bahm Bahm” exclusively on her website on Friday, October 13.

What Will Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ Album Sound Like?

In just about a month, Nicki Minaj will release her long-awaited fifth album Pink Friday 2. The project will be the rapper’s first full-length release since 2018’s Queen. Though Minaj has delivered a healthy batch of singles over the years, a full album is truly what fans desire, and the fact that it’s a sequel to her beloved 2010 album makes it that much better for them.

Ahead of the album’s release next month, Minaj sat down with Vogue for a lengthy interview. This conversation gave some clues about the sound to expect on Pink Friday 2 starting with a quote from Minaj’s longtime engineer Aubry “Big Juice” Delaine. “Imagine a Nicki Minaj greatest hits album,” he said about Pink Friday 2, adding, “but all the songs are new.” The Vogue cover story also notes that the album was written from the “vantage point of a woman who has gotten so many of the things she dreamed about. And yet the past still tugs.”

“When I look back at a lot of my music, I’m like, Oh, my God, where was the me in it?” Minaj added. “So for this album, I went back to the old game plan.”

Elsewhere in the Vogue conversation, Minaj played a song for the interviewer Rob Haskell titled “Big Difference.” It’s described as a record that the rapper wrote “several years ago,” but recently fell back in love with. The interview goes on to say that “Big Difference” separates “Minaj and other rappers, in particular those who come casually into the game, get lucky with a hit on TikTok, and suddenly imagine that fame and clout are their right rather than the outcome of years of hard work.”

Nicki Minaj Sparks Rumors Of Reconciliation With Remy Ma In Cryptic Instagram Post

In a surprising turn of events, Nicki Minaj has set the hip-hop world abuzz with a mysterious Instagram story post. The rap icon shared a snippet of lyrics that left fans speculating about the potential reunion of two heavyweights in the game. The lyrics in question were lifted from Remy Ma’s verse on Big Pun’s song “Ms. Martin. The lyrics go: “Look over your shoulder, I’m in da rover, it’s over b–tch.” This unexpected posting of lyrics, followed by the Pink Friday 2 December 8th release date also shared directly under the lyrics, have ignited speculation surrounding Minaj’s forthcoming album.

The intrigue deepens when we consider the history between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma. The two artists have been no strangers to public feuds and lyrical battles that made headlines and stirred fan rivalries. Their highly publicized clash culminated in Remy Ma’s infamous diss track, “ShETHER,” which took the hip-hop community by storm in 2017. Fast forward to the present, where Nicki Minaj’s Instagram post has fans eagerly questioning whether this cryptic gesture signals a reconciliation between the rap titans. Could Remy Ma be making an appearance on Pink Friday 2, marking the end of their longstanding feud? The possibilities seem endless, and the fan speculation is relentless. However, not everyone is convinced of a harmonious reunion. Some observers believe that this move might be a calculated strategy to keep fans guessing or to fuel the ongoing mystery around their relationship. “Lmfao to be clear nobody wants RemNika collab,” one person said. “What if it’s a diss🥲,” someone else speculated. “Let’s pray she’s thinking about dissing her again,” another person quipped. Nicki Minaj Asks the Barbz to Not Threaten Anyone For Her

Nicki Minaj Delivers Performance of "Last Time I Saw You" at VMAs

Nicki Minaj is getting the Barbz together ahead of her new album. Hitting her Instagram story, Minaj delivered a message, asking for her fans to never threaten anyone on her behalf.

“Dear Barbz, Be sure to never threaten anyone on my behalf,” Minaj wrote. “Whether in jest or not, I don’t and never have condoned that. We have an amazing album right around the corner 12/08/23. It feels so surreal and euphoric. Wishing you blessings on blessings.”

Nicki Minaj has updated the release date for Pink Friday 2, now making it available to fans on her birthday. Minaj shared the details in an Instagram Live session, setting the release date for Dec. 8.

“This entire album will be the biggest gift I’ve ever given humanity thus far,” Minaj said. “I can stand by that. I will bet any amount of money that Pink Friday 2, the album, is going to make people fall in love immediately.”

Nicki Minaj fans have been waiting for quite some time for the release of her highly-anticipated project, Pink Friday 2. Most recently, Queen Barbie herself went Live to her 227 million followers on Instagram to talk about the new project and its coinciding tour. Not only does she let fans into a little bit of her creative process behind her new release, she always explains that this Pink Friday 2 tour will be “greater than every other tour combined.”

Nicki Minaj’s New Snippet For “Pink Friday 2” Hints At A Club Banger Ahead: Listen

Even though Nicki Minaj had to delay the release date of her upcoming comeback album, Pink Friday 2, it seems like that just built up even more anticipation for it. Moreover, it’s also probable that she wants to keep feeding fans more content in order to make up for this. With this in mind, the Trinidadian MC kept quite busy over the past few months with artwork teases, vinyl drops, singles, and many more teases. Still, considering all this, we still don’t have a super strong grasp on what this sequel project will sound like cohesively. If a new snippet is anything to go off of, then that means she’s going to bring the bangers in full force.

Furthermore, her latest song snippet- which joins the heap of others– is a hard-hitting and boisterous trap track. Of course, we wouldn’t really expect Nicki Minaj to be anything less than brag-heavy on a record, because she’s definitely earned that respect. Regardless, it’s refreshing to hear her fiery verses over heavy bass and sharp snares that could turn up any club setting. One recommendation, though: some of the bars here need a little more work if the 40-year-old wants to truly impress.

Nicki Minaj’s Truck-Knocking New Snippet For Pink Friday 2: Listen

Nevertheless, the energy is palpable, and we’re sure that she will offer much more dense and impressive lyrical performances throughout Pink Friday 2. Also, the delay of a couple of weeks isn’t that bad; at least we’re getting it on Nicki Minaj’s 41st birthday. In fact, she might not even wait that long to get some new material cooking. Recently, Barb teased that she might put out an EP before this new album. Well, she said it would be a great idea, so we’ll see if she takes up the offer.

Meanwhile, Roman recently let out a message to her Barbz, instructing her fans to never threaten someone on her behalf. If you’re ever been online, you know that they can be pretty vicious online. But that won’t change the impact that she makes with this new project, which is set to close 2023 off with a big bang. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Nicki Minaj.

Nicki Minaj Says Dropping An EP Before “Pink Friday 2” Is A “Great Idea”

After playing several snippets of unreleased songs on Instagram Live, Nicki Minaj admitted that dropping them as an EP prior to the release of her next album, Pink Friday 2, is a “great idea.” She’ll be releasing the project as her fifth studio album on December 8. Minaj considered the idea of an EP on Twitter, on Saturday.

“I think an EP with these songs is actually a great idea @RepublicRecords,” she wrote in one post. In another post, she also revealed that one of the unreleased tracks “was gonna be” her first single, “but I was heavily preggers and didn’t feel comfortable. Then there’s a song called ‘Memories’ that would’ve been the second single. Lol. So glad I waited. The album really turned out perfect.”

Nicki also took the time to praise her fanbase and took aim at those who speak ill about them. “Can’t believe everyone cares about what WE do,” she wrote. “Y’all don’t got no other album rollout to clock/look forward to? Well thank y’all. From the bottom of my heart. For this constant attention & promo. The barbz are FED. The barbz are HAPPY. Who Is Nicki Minaj Beefing With? Rapper Makes Cryptic Subtweet, Previews New Beats

Fans are speculating that Nicki Minaj may have a new beef brewing after the rapper dropped a cryptic tweet on November 3. Minaj posted the iconic meme of soccer manager José Mourinho pulling off a pair of headphones in disgust. However, Minaj provided no other context for the tweet, leaving fans to theorize who the tweet was about.

However, with no answers to give, Nicki went on to do an impromptu stream in which she was previewing some beats, both new and forgotten. One particularly raunchy snippet was lapped up by fans, only for Minaj to say that it wouldn’t be on the upcoming Pink Friday 2. “I can’t do it but if someone else would like the song it would be dope! It doesn’t match where I’m @ mentally or sonically but the song is hard AF,” Minaj explained on Twitter. One of the most notable reactions to this was Sexyy Red, who replied with the eyes emoji.

Minaj Unearths Old Snippet

Elsewhere in the stream, Mianj also played a snippet that appeared to have been recorded in 2020. It was promptly transcribed to Genius, where the track was titled “Murder”. It’s unclear if this is just an old beat that Minaj wanted to give to the Barbz or something that will be appearing on Pink Friday 2. Furthermore, last week, Minaj revealed that the new album would be dropping on her birthday, December 8. This invalidated previous reporting that the album would drop on November 17, the same day as Welcome 2 ColleGrove. Instead, Minaj will reveal her tour dates and open pre-sale on the 17th.

The “Murder” track goes pretty hard, with some vintage Nicki lyrics. “I got the call, told him, “Meet me in the backstreet/ Right out the Jeep just to f-ck him in the backseat,” is an early highlight. However, is “Is that you talkin’ to me? Is that tea?/If I don’t even know you exist, is that beef?” a coincidence after her subtweet the day before?

Nicki Minaj Reaches Impressive New Milestone Ahead Of “Pink Friday 2”

Nicki Minaj is one of the greatest women rappers of all time. Overall, one would argue that she is the GOAT of that lane. Moreover, in terms of men and women, she is certainly high on the rankings. Nicki Minaj Continues To Dominate

She is now the first woman in hip-hop to have two music videos with over 1 billion views. The first video to accomplish this was “Anaconda.” Overall, this was an extremely viral video at the time, so it should be no surprise it had already reached this feat. As for the second video, that would just so happen to be “Super Bass.” This hip-hop and pop crossover was a huge moment in Nicki’s career. While some may not look back fondly on those pop tracks, they are what made Minaj such a huge megastar.

Only time will tell whether or not she can match this success on Pink Friday 2. If her fans have anything to say about it, she definitely can. Nicki Minaj Moves ‘Pink Friday 2’ Release Date to Her Birthday

Nicki Minaj Delivers Performance of "Last Time I Saw You" at VMAs

Nicki Minaj has updated the release date for Pink Friday 2, now setting it to be available to fans on her birthday.

Which is saying a lot! Given her Young Money labelmate Drake recently shut down arenas all over the world on his It’s All A Blur Tour.

Nick states, “Even though this album is called Pink Friday 2, even though we love the nostalgia, this will not remind you of another tour. That’s how I’ll say it. I mean, it’s gonna be greater than every other tour combined — like this album. This will be a very different feeling tour, even if you’ve been to every Nicki Minaj tour that’s ever existed. Because there are certain things that I always do similar in all my tours. This time, it’s going to be a completely different perspective.”

We can’t help but wonder exactly what this means, whether she’s talking about her performance style or her set design. But one thing’s for sure: it sounds like she’s putting a lot of time and effort into giving fans an unforgettable show!

“In addition to it being, of course, a whole new album, the approach to the tour will be very different and the feel of the tour will be very different. We still gon’ cover all the ground that is required to cover in order for y’all to know that you fucking with the best, but it won’t remind you of another tour.”

The Pink Friday 2 Tour dates have yet to be announced, but Nicki has previously revealed it should start somewhere in the first quarter of next year. In the meantime, we wait patiently for the arrival of Pink Friday 2 on November 17th, marking her first album in five years.

Fans can pre-save the album here.
