She’s joined by her husband Kenneth Petty, as well as her young son Papa Bear. While in town, the femcee opted to visit the Shedd Aquarium, undoubtedly giving her little one an unforgettable experience. Of course, Nicki and her family got the VIP experience. They went behind the scenes to meet a penguin, watched a fun animal presentation, and more.

She shared a few clips from the outing on Instagram yesterday, thanking aquarium staff for making their experience special. “Thank you to the amazing employees at the Aquarium in Chicago today. 🩷💛💜🩵🤍 #PapaBear had a great time 😉🌊🐳🌊🐬,” she wrote.

Nicki Minaj & Her Family Visit The Shedd Aquarium

In one of the clips, Nicki, Petty, and their son are seen approaching a penguin, who’s being held by a staff member. Papa Bear looked thrilled to get an up-close look at the animal, though he only ventured to put a single finger on it. Either way, his mother and other family members commended him for his bravery, and his father gave him a high five. It looks like they had a blast, and are making the most of their tour around the world.

While Nicki’s tour has gone off mostly without a hitch so far, she did recently run into a bit of trouble on her way to Montreal earlier this month. Due to flight delays and cancellations, her show started late, though attendees can agree it was still impressive. Earlier today, Nicki Minaj shared her newest magazine cover. She took to Instagram to show fans the result of her Vogue cover shoot where she’s sporting a gorgeous white dress. “Anna, thank you. I can’t really find the words to sum up all these emotions right now, but gratitude is number 1 on the list. Thank you for making one of my WILDEST dreams come true. A beautiful & surreal experience from start to finish,” she captioned the post.

But the cover shoot wasn’t all they did with Nicki. They also shot an episode of their iconic 73 Questions series with the legendary rapper. The video has already racked up over 200k views in just a few hours and sees Nicki answering questions on a variety of subjects. One of which is her son, known to the world as Papa Bear. She explains, or rather tries to explain why that is his nickname. “I’ve always been a nickname person. I give everyone I love these nicknames, normally. He actually had a couple nicknames. Last weekend, Minaj played snippets of unreleased tracks, pondered releasing an EP of said tracks, and teased a newly recorded track “Let Me Calm Down,” which she described as “one of my faves.”

After challenging the Barbz to get #TellUsNicki trending worldwide yesterday, November 8, Minaj rewarded her fan base this morning, November 9, by revealing herself on the cover of Vogue‘s December Issue. Within the accompanying profile, Minaj discussed a range of topics, including what Pink Friday 2 will sound like, but she’s still keeping one secret to herself.

“Minaj has not publicly revealed the name of her son, whom she prefers to call Papa Bear,” Vogue‘s Rob Haskell wrote. “She and [Minaj’s husband, Kenneth] Petty navigated his infancy with no help whatsoever save for an occasional brief visit from a grandparent.” However, the cover spread features a photo of Minaj cradling Papa Bear, whose name has been a point of speculation since his birth on September 30, 2020.

Ahead of Pink Friday 2, which will enjoy a supporting tour in 2024, Minaj has dropped singles “Last Time I Saw You” and “Super Freaky Girl,” becoming Minaj’s third-career No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also shared “Bahm Bahm” exclusively on her website on Friday, October 13.

But while all of that was going on, her husband Kenneth Petty has been beefing with Offset.

It’s a complicated beef because Nicki and Offset’s wife Cardi B have a history. Nicki Minaj Shared A Special Story About How The Title Of Her Upcoming Album Came To Her

While many of the rap girlies of the summer on lock, the queen is gearing up to remind everyone who’s running the game. This November, Nicki Minaj will release her long-awaited fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2.

Minaj revealed the title and release date for Pink Friday 2 about a month ago, and is continuing to tease it. Today (July 29), she took to Twitter to check in with the Barbz and offer an update.

“Y’all, I’m not even kidding. In 111 days, Pink Friday 2 is coming to save & restore hope in mankind,” she said, “omg barbz I love you I dooooo! Like when y’all have this masterpiece y’all gon be on [cloud emoji] [9 emoji]. Omg I love it so much y’all.”

She also shared a special story about how the title of her upcoming album came to her.

“I tweeted PF2 pregnant I believe right y’all?,” she said. “That means papa gave mama the name. And so shall it be…blessed.”

“Papa” refers “Papa Bear,” the nickname Minaj gave her son, whose actual name, she has not revealed.

Minaj did, in fact, post a tweet reading “PF2” back in June of 2020.

However, she shared today that she was initially hesitant to title the album Pink Friday 2, which suggests it’s a follow-up to her 2010 debut album, Pink Friday.

“I was apprehensive calling it PF2 b/c the barbz were yelling @ me & saying they hope I knew those r big shoes to fill,” she said, “but now I know that I’ve done her proud. She will forEVERRRR be THAT GIRLLL!!!!”

Pink Friday 2 is out 11/17 via Republic Records and Heavy On It.

Nicki Minaj also recently claimed in a tweet that she would be seated beside Prince Harry at King Charles’ coronation ceremony. The Queen has a reputation for trolling, and it now appears to have just been a promotional tactic for her new verse on the “Princess Diana” remix. The song was released two weeks ago, and it has been all over the place ever since. In fact, earlier this week, it landed at number four on the Billboard Hot 100. This was another big win for the Queen, who broke Drake’s previous Billboard record with the track. It was also a win for Ice Spice, who now has two singles in the top 10.
