NLE Choppa Pops Out With “Baddies” Star Jela After Rejections From Meagan Good & Ice Spice

After getting rejected twice in recent memory, it seems like NLE Choppa is letting that brush off his shoulder with a new supposed flame. Moreover, “Baddies South” star Jela just posted some pictures of her and Choppa on Instagram with the caption “Expensive conversation.” Furthermore, for those who didn’t see the gossip, the Memphis MC tried shooting his shot with two famous girls: Meagan Good and Ice Spice. Not only that, but he recently doubled down on his love for Good after she expressed that he’s too young for her. However, she did comment on how sweet and respectful he was when they talked.

“I did not [hang up on him],” Meagan Good remarked to TMZ about their phone conversation. “It got disconnected. My mom called and then I called back. He’s a lovely young man. I hate that so many people tried to drag him and make it seem like he was simping. No, he was very sweet, very very respectful. He’s just too young for me.” Meanwhile, the situation with Ice Spice apparently worked out a little differently compared to Choppa’s shot with the actress.

NLE Choppa & Jela Spark Rumors

“I don’t text her no more,” NLE told Jason Lee during an interview in March. “She changed her number. So, I watch from a distance. I see she’s doing a lot of big things.” Then, while talking about his new album Cottonwood 2, Choppa explained to The Breakfast Club hosts their relationship. “People change their number!” exclaimed. “Was I part of the reason? I don’t know… Probably, you never know.” That’s when Charlamagne Tha God asked what his intentions were with linking over text, and whether he was trying to holler at her.

“No” NLE Choppa claimed. “I was business-oriented, and when I hollered she ain’t have no [noise] about it. Yeah, you know what I mean? Slicky, like… I slid in! I asked her, do she like vegan food? That’s probably why she changed her number. She said, ‘This n***a talkin’ ’bout vegan food. Let me get his a** off my line. I’m from the Bronx! We don’t eat no f****ing vegan food,’” he concluded hilariously. Regardless of his love life’s ups and downs, check back in with HNHH for the latest on NLE Choppa.

NLE Choppa’s ‘Bar Stories’ For His Single ’23’ Wittily Shows That In Some Cases Less Is More

The day has finally arrived. NLE Choppa’s new album Cottonwood 2 is finally available across streaming platforms. After releasing a string of singles, including “Ain’t Gonna Answer” featuring Lil Wayne and “Do It Again” featuring 2Rare, which both made the final project, the rapper can now sit back and fawn over fans’ reaction to his latest bodywork. But he does, NLE is taking a moment to flex is brag about his lyrical abilities.

Stopping by the UPROXX Studios for a new Bar Stories episode, NLE Choppa gave our very own Cherise Johnson a breakdown behind his Tay Keith-produced track, “23,” off new project Cottonwood 2 out now.

The bar up for dissection, “Call me, ‘Booty’/ I’ll shake something.” As the rapper adds in a sturdy hand clap to emphasize the line, he boldly declares that this was in fact “the most iconic line in 2023,” because it could take on several meanings as an under-appreciated double entendre.

The Memphis native doubles down on his point saying when it comes to witty rap lyrics, “Less is more.” Although there isn’t one specific moment that inspired the line per se, NLE made it clear that his entire career thus far could be summarized by that one line.

NLE Choppa Suggests Ice Spice Changed Her Number After Texting Him

Nearly a month ago now, Memphis’ NLE Choppa joined Jason Lee on his REVOLT podcast to discuss not only his musical work but also his feelings for a certain female rap star. At the time, the “DO IT AGAIN” hitmaker admitted to having a crush on Ice Spice, who he chiefly called “beautiful” while revealing that they were exchanging messages. Rather than sliding in her DMs, Choppa was able to connect with the Bronx baddie via text, apparently to talk about “just music,” though things didn’t go as far as he was hoping, as Spice apparently changed her number without telling the 20-year-old.

“I don’t text her no more,” the recording artist told Lee during their March interview. “She changed her number. So, I watch from a distance. I see she’s doing a lot of big things.” More recently, Choppa dropped by The Breakfast Club to promote his new Cottonwood 2 album, at which time hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne couldn’t help but ask their guest about Spice. “People change their number!” the southern star defended himself. “Was I part of the reason? I don’t know… Probably, you never know.”

NLE Choppa Gives an Update on Texting Ice Spice

Tha God then asked Choppa if he was “tryna holler” at the “Bikini Botton” hitmaker while she was only interested in talking business. “No! I was business-oriented, and when I hollered she ain’t have no [noise] about it,” the lyricist insisted. “You did holler though?” Charlamagne confirmed, not letting the young rhymer escape the question. “Yeah, you know what I mean? Slicky, like… I slid in! I asked her, do she like vegan food? That’s probably why she changed her number,” NLE speculated, laughing along with TBC hosts.

“She said, ‘This n*gga talkin’ ’bout vegan food. Let me get his ass off my line. I’m from the Bronx! We don’t eat no f*cking vegan food,’” the father of one added, imagining how Spice reacted to his message before swapping out her digits. While NLE Choppa is obviously still hung up on not getting a text back, the 23-year-old rap diva has been busy soaking up the success of her “Princess Diana (Remix)” with Nicki Minaj. NLE Choppa’s “Cottonwood 2” Album Is Here, Featuring Kevin Gates, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, And More

Another New Music Friday (April 14) is upon us, and though two of the biggest releases of the week came from female artists like Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat, we’ve got plenty of male entertainers to give flowers too as well today. Among them is NLE Choppa, whose follow-up to his 2019 project, Cottonwood, arrived on DSPs at midnight. On the original, 10-track effort, the Memphis native worked with just Blueface and Meek Mill, but this time around, his roster of collaborators has become considerably more impressive.

Of course, we’ve already heard Choppa work with 2Rare on their “DO IT AGAIN” single, and he came together with rap legend Lil Wayne on “AIN’T GONNA ANSWER” ahead of Cottonwood 2 as well. Aside from those, the release’s other singles include “MO UP FRONT,” “IN THE UK,” and “CHAMPIONS.” There was also “SLUT ME OUT,” which landed the 20-year-old in some hot water after dog walking Sukihana and Sexyy Red in the accompanying remix’s visual earlier this month.

NLE Choppa Shines in the “TALK DIFFERENT” Music Video

As for previously unheard joint efforts, the 22-track album boasts “COLD GAME” with Rick Ross, “ON GOD” featuring Queen Naija,” and “DISABILITY CHECKS” alongside Polo G and G Herbo. Other noteworthy guests tapped by Choppa are Duke Deuce, Kevin Gates, Fivio Foreign, Lola Brooke, and Modesty. We also hear some impressive solo work from the rising star on his latest release, including titles like “ALL I KNOW,” “PRETTY BROWN,” and “THUG IT OUT.”

Meagan Good Reveals Truth Behind NLE Choppa Call

Generations collided in late March when TMZ reported that rapper NLE Choppa had shot his shot with Meagan Good. The story was full of drama and scandal as Jason Lee called Good for Choppa, only for Good to seemingly hang up. Speculation made its way around the social sphere, with many calling out Choppa for being a “simp”. Meanwhile, neither party had spoken publicly about the call.

So what happened? Did NLE Choppa get rejected? Did he and Lee call Good back? And most importantly, did Good hang up on a simp? For several weeks, speculation has been rife online. Thankfully, a TMZ street interview caught up with Good to get the full story of what happened. Good’s answers put the story to rest, if ending the saga with something more mundane that most were hoping for.

Good Didn’t Hang Up On Choppa

TMZ recently caught up with Meagan Good and the first thing they asked was more details about the NLE Choppa call. “I did not,” Good clarified when asked if she hung up on Choppa, “It got disconnected. My mom called and then I called back,” Good continued. The actress, best known for roles in likes of Cousin Skeeter and Shazam!, had nothing but good things to say about NLE Choppa. “He’s a lovely young man. I hate that so many people tried to drag him and make it seem like he was simping. No, he was very sweet, very very respectful.”

However, the call back did not result in a romance blossoming. “He’s just too young for me,” the 41-year-old Good said of the 20-year-old rapper. But she did clarify she was “flattered”, reiterating on several occasions just how polite and respectful Choppa had been when talking to her. And so the story ends – Good did not “play the hell out of him” (her words) and ended up having a conversation with Choppa. However, with good reasons, she turned down his polite offer to link up romantically. Maybe we’ll see a platonic meeting in the near future but Good has definitely put any rumors about the call to rest.

Lil Mama and Sukihana Have Social Media Exchange Over Black Women ‘Dog Walk’ Visual in NLE Choppa’s “Slut Me Out” Video

Lil Mama and Sukihana Have Social Media Exchange Over Black Women 'Dog Walk' Visual in NLE Choppa's "Slut Me Out" Video

New York rapper Lil Mama and reality TV personality Sukihana have had a recent back-and-forth on social media.  Sukihana recently appeared in NLE Choppa’s new video for his song, “Slut Me Out (Remix).”  In one scene, the Love & Hip-Hop star can be seen on all fours while NLE Choppa pulls her hair.  Rapper Sexy Redd was on all fours as well, next to Sukihana.

Lil Mama took to Twitter to discuss the scene, but she deleted the post shortly after.  But it was too late as Sukihana saw the comment and decided to respond.

“They said the girl ‘lil mama’ that sing that lip gloss song was in the comments speaking on me.  If I was y’all I would tell her leave me tf alone”

– Sukihana

Lil Mama decided to respond in a respectful way.

“Hey, I know we don’t know each other personally.  I’m seeing you wrote a post addressing me and I never addressed you personally.  You could have been any Blacc woman in that video I posted a comment under.  The way I feel still stands.”

– Lil Mama

The “Lip Gloss” rapper also added that she didn’t want to offend Sukihana or anyone else, which is why she deleted her original reaction. Lil Mama also mentioned the image that Sukihana is giving off affects her daughters and other young girls.

Sukihana used Lil Mama’s memorable on-stage moment with Jay-Z and Alicia Keys to clap back.

“They said Lil mama think she better then people just because she got to perform on stage with Jayz and Alicia keys”

– Sukihana

Many people were on Lil Mama’s side as they took to the comments to express similar views.  NLE Choppa also stepped in and vowed it was all just entertainment.

NLE Choppa Reveals “Cottonwood 2” Tracklist

NLE Choppa has revealed the tracklist for Cottonwood 2 on his Instagram. The album is the rapper’s sophomore full-length effort. The 20-year-old rapper is still fairly new to the industry, but he has already made waves in a lot of ways. Choppa has made headlines for his strange statements online. They range from disrespectful to downright weird. A lot of this can likely be chalked up to his age, but his seniors are schooling him nonetheless. Even Nicki Minaj dragged him as part of her beef with Latto.

NLE Choppa hails from Memphis, Tennessee. He has garnered significant attention in the music industry since gaining widespread recognition with his breakout hit “Shotta Flow” in 2019. Since then, NLE Choppa has been diligently building his career, earning a dedicated fan base and a strong presence on social media. NLE Choppa has also made strategic collaborations with established artists, showcasing his versatility and potential for long-term success. Most recently, the rapper released a much-anticipated collaboration with Lil Wayne. Now, he’s gearing up to release Cottonwood 2.

New Album Features Kevin Gates, Rick Ross, and More

Choppa’s sophomore album, Cottonwood 2, is due out this Friday. Today, the rapper revealed the tracklist for the album on his Instagram. It’s an extremely long album at 22 tracks, and there are plenty of exciting features. Some of the songs have already been released, like Choppa’s collab with Lil Wayne. However, fans still have plenty to look forward to, like “Habits,” which features Kevin Gates and “Cold Game” with Rick Ross.

There were mixed reactions from fans in his comment section. Some were excited about the new songs, but others pointed out that most of them had already been released. “I mean half are already released added onto it to gain more plays,” said one. “I respect the grind but I’m still hyped for it.” Some pointed out the absence of any tracks named “Shotta Flow.” Choppa had previously released many tracks with the name, simply adding new numbers to each one. The rapper opened his most recent mixtape with the sixth “Shotta Flow.” Still, Choppa is giving fans plenty of new material. What track are you most excited to hear? Let us know in the comments.
