Nicki Minaj Teases Possibile New Version Of “FTCU” With A Male Rapper

Nicki Minaj is someone who loves to keep her fans engaged with her music and the process of making it happen. That was especially true throughout the rollout of Pink Friday 2. The album of course is a long-awaited sequel to her first Pink Friday, which was released back in 2010. While it has not been as well received as the pilot entry, the second installment has plenty of bangers on it.

One of which is the third cut, “FTCU.” It features a banging trap instrumental from the ever-so-talented ATL Jacob. She throws out the question for her Barbz to debate over. “If there were a male rapper featured on the 3rd verse of “FTCU,” who would be your guess? #PinkFriday2.” Fans in the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk‘s Instagram post had plenty of interaction as they gave their ideal partner in rhyme. “BIG SEAN would body that Verse like Nicki bodied her A$$ verse,” one person says. Another goes, “2 Chainz, I was already surprised he wasn’t on the album. But he def gone match her sassy/bougie. NLE Choppa Reacts To Blueface Dissing Him On Jaidyn Alexis’ “Barbie” Remix

Blueface recently hopped on the remix of Jaidyn Alexis’ viral track “Barbie,” taking aim at various people he’s had beef with over the past year or so. He called out Offset, for example, alluding to rumors that he slept with Blueface’s ex Chrisean Rock. He also referenced his recent back-and-forth with Soulja Boy, suggesting that he slept with the mother of his child. The MILF Music founder didn’t stop there, however. He went on to mention NLE Choppa, claiming that his “baby mama wanna hit.”

For obvious reasons, this struck a nerve, prompting the 21-year-old to respond on Twitter. He shared a clip from the music video including the diss, claiming that he’s already asked the rapper to stop talking about him. “I hit you personally to stop speaking on me,” he wrote. “I thought sh*t was understood. Bet that.”

The shade comes after the mother of NLE Choppa’s child, Marissa Da’Nae, claimed that Blueface tried to shoot his shot with her at a party. According to her, she rejected him, letting the “Thotiana” performer know that she’s friends with Chrisean. “He was like, ‘How well do you know her? Can you call her?’” she recalled. “He was like, ‘So you gonna choose my baby mama over me?’” Blueface later took aim at NLE Choppa on Twitter, accusing him of blowing up his phone after he called him “tender.”

“NLE been calling my [phone] all day about his baby momma but I’m tender ,” he wrote. “He hopped on that no rizz train till he seen I had that number now I’m his ‘Shotta Flow (Remix)’ friend . Also, the record starts abruptly on Spotify, so all signs lead to an unofficial release.

Still, we’ll celebrate it while it lasts, so go add “Trust Issues” to your playlist and enjoy the moment like the rest of us. Just take it with that extra grain of salt as you indulge in The Weeknd’s drowsy, dramatic, and slow-burning re-imagining of Drizzy’s original. The stark trap drums present here pair up with some cavernous kicks and claps to give the percussion a little more percussion. Also, we can’t talk about this cut without mentioning the sultry guitars that edge it out throughout various points of its runtime. Lil Nas X Remixes Nicki Minaj’s “FTCU”: Listen

Pink Friday 2 is here, and there are a lot of artists that are feeling more like Barbz these days as a result. Moreover, many fellow rappers and musicians in other genres came forward to show their love to Nicki Minaj’s latest album. The most recent addition in that vein actually came in the form of a new remix. Furthermore, Lil Nas X recently took to social media, particularly Instagram, to share his remix of the track “FTCU,” which includes a brag-heavy, boisterous, and bombastic new verse from him. He comes off with a lot of charisma and with some funny bars and references, whether it’s proclaiming his Nicki standom or pulling together some punchlines with Doja Cat song titles.

Not only that, but this is very interesting given the Georgia artist’s recent switch-up into his self-proclaimed “Christian era.” As is unfortunately usual for him, he faced a lot of backlash as a result, but also some surprising support from a leader in the Christian rap space, Lecrae. Hopefully this means that Lil Nas X wasn’t deterred from expressing himself in whatever way he saw fit. Who knows, maybe other future remixes of his will also take on this religious slant.

What we wouldn’t bet on, though, is for the MONTERO superstar to cook up more remixes of the Trinidadian MC. For those unaware, Lil Nas X and Nicki Minaj have a complicated relationship, although they’ve never been too close to one another to begin with. Rather, their bond stems from his aforementioned love of her and her music, which became a hot topic in the headlines at one point. Following some apparently rejected collabs and some fanbase clashing, we’d remain pretty skeptical of the idea that they could eventually come together.

However, we’d love to be proven wrong, as they are too talented of a duo to pass up on. It’s nowhere near the level of cold war that the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” hitmaker has with Cardi B, but it’s still a touchy subject.
