Young Thug Releases New Album “Business Is Business”

This week, Young Thug has been gearing up for the release of his latest album, titled Business Is Business. Unfortunately, the circumstances surrounding the album’s release are unfortunate for the rapper. He has been in prison for over a year. As many know, this is due to charges of racketeering and conspiracy connected to his YSL collective, which prosecutors consider a gang organization. As a result, Young Thug’s music has been limited to guest appearances. He has collaborated with artists like Metro Boomin, Yeat, and Rae Sremmurd. However, the release of Business Is Business finally changes that.

The album was initially announced through a countdown timer. It was shared on Young Thug’s and Metro Boomin’s social media pages, among others. Shortly before the countdown ended, Young Thug, Metro Boomin, and Drake revealed the album’s artwork. Then, earlier tonight, the tracklist for Business Is Business was finally unveiled. It featured 15 songs. On it, there were collaborations with Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, and Lil Uzi Vert. Now, fans can finally rest easy knowing that Thugger has dropped his new album.

Young Thug Drops Bangers From Behind Bars

Young Thug may be behind bars, but that hasn’t stopped him from releasing an album full of bangers. Metro Boomin serves as the executive producer of the album. As such, it’s no surprise that he has contributed to several tracks. However, there are also notable contributions from other prominent producers. These include names such as Dr. Luke, Wheezy, Southside, and many others.

Interestingly, it hasn’t actually been that long since Young Thug dropped new music. Last month, he featured on Yeat’s latest single, “My Wrist.” However, fans will surely be glad to finally be getting a full album from Thugger himself instead of just features. With all of the star power that the rapper has got on board for his latest effort, there will no doubt be some big hits to come out of it. What do you think of Young Thug’s new album? Sound off in the comments below to let us know!

Tasha K Offers Sarcasm-Filled Apology To Cardi B Fans

The longstanding beef between Tasha K and Cardi B has no end in sight, whether because of them or because of fans. Moreover, blogger and pop culture influencer probably dealt with a lot of hate from the standom following their legal battle- and clearly still does. However, in her most recent Instagram post, she suggested that they are ridiculously blaming her for a lack of a new album from the Bronx MC. Furthermore, Tasha expressed as such in a sarcastic and mocking apology directed specifically at supporters of Cardi’s music. In it, she also spoke on a wealth of other issues that might be affecting her slow return to full-length projects.

“I wanna send a sincere apology out to #bardigang,” Tasha K wrote. “It’s my facultas to why y’all don’t have a 2nd album. She’s been in court with me for 6 years distracted from her purpose. Now going on 7. Atlantic is broke and won’t help pay for a 2nd album, offset in court fighting to release an album and my sis-in-law sold her rights to her catalog off too early in her career. Now there is no money to produce the album. She is constantly taking car insurance ads to keep the lights on and pay lawyers to continue to chase me down for money I don’t have.

Tasha K’s Hilarious Message For Cardi B Fans

“I’m so sorry for distracting yall queen!” Tasha K continued. “Between me & the surgeons we owe y’all a huge apology. Atlantic refuses to give her any money to produce a second album because they took such a loss on her first album that she is now stating to promote 6 years later. Again, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault. But if you want music, real consistent music, please stream #barbieworld this Friday. #icespice is from where she is from and can give y’all the music y’all need instead of her giving yall a #TashaKalbum.”

Of course, her last statements are ironic considering that Nicki Minaj, who’s dropping “Barbie World” with Ice Spice this week, hasn’t dropped in a while either, though that will change soon. Regardless, the “Tomorrow 2” hitmaker is in a similar situation, so we’ll see how that fuels the fans if both artists drop in 2023. Let us know what you think of this loaded apology down in the comments below. Also, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Tasha K and Cardi B.

The post arrives just days after Meek asked fans whether he’s fallen off. “Who think I fell off or don’t really think I got it with rapping anymore?” Meek wrote on Wednesday (June 14). “I’m fr I need answers and tell the truth I’m not taking it personal. I need to hear how people think before I do what I do! A social experiment! Answer if you a supporter of mines!…I’m not asking for confidence either.”

Fans had mixed answers for the Philadelphia rapper. One admitted that he feels he’s gotten lazy. “@MeekMill is lazy now, probably have other personal things his focus on,” they wrote. “The thing is are you going continue with rap on the old wave or are you going to adopt, to this new gen z music. You ready have to name, experience, the fans & billionaire’s friends. Leave a legacy.” A seperate fam argued that Meek has simply grown: “It’s all about growth my guy. Doja Cat Previews Upcoming Single “Balut” During IG Livestream

Doja Cat previewed what appears to be the next single from her forthcoming album during a recent Instagram Live session. The track, titled “Balut,” sees Doja continue focusing on her rap skills in a similar vein to her latest song, “Attention.”

“I think people won’t really vibe with the slow songs,” one fan wrote of the snippet on Twitter. “That’s why everyone likes gun and Vegas. The slow jams like attention are lyrically very great but people don’t listen to music for that anymore if it’s catchy then everyone likes it.” Others were more positive in response. “I think Doja is a fire artist. Love how she does things,” another fan tweeted.

One person unhappy with Doja’s artistic direction is Azealia Banks who roasted the 27-year-old on Instagram, last week. “I really be wanting to like Doja’s music but it’s all just sooo try hard,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Her first album was actually cool as hell,” she continued, calling it “her own authentic art voice.” She added that Doja Cat “sounds like a white girl that grew up in a house,” while remarking that California rap is “purposefully inoffensive and caters to paper shoe Tom and matted hair Abigail.”

Doja Cat has been teasing her fourth studio album for over a year at this point, changing the album title several different times. One point she’s been consistent on is her desire to distance herself from pop music with the effort. Speaking with Variety, earlier this year, she explained, “I know that I’ve done a lot of pink and soft things, a lot of pop and glittery sounds. But for this next era, I’m going in a more masculine direction.”

Doja Cat Teases Her Next Song

Doja still hasn’t confirmed a release date for her upcoming album, but she did tease a potential 19-song tracklist on social media back in April. That list included both “Attention” and “Balut.”

Killer Mike recently reflected on his experience with JAY-Z during an appearance on The Breakfast Club. In doing so, he weighed in on the hypothetical question as to whether he’d take $500,000 or a dinner with the legendary rapper.

“Jay has quietly been a friend and associate to me for a couple years now,” Mike said on the show. “And that relationship– when people say, ‘Would you take 500 grand or the dinner?’ Man that’s a hard question because I got a $500,000 advance I’d like but I have learned so much from short conversations with him.”

We tweaked the critiques because we were in mixing. I spent a lot of money. We went through like five mixes on this record. I cared about this record.”

He’s so happy talking about the album and he should be. This album is formidable.” “Album worth every penny!!” another wrote with fire emojis. “We needed this one!!” Check out Mike’s Breakfast Club interview below.

Gunna Floats On “a Gift & a Curse” Highlight “fukumean”

a Gift & a Curse has plenty of highlights, and it’s a tracklist that people will most likely be dissecting for the next few weeks. Moreover, a lot of this is owed to the reflections on betrayal, Gunna’s place in the game, and people speaking down on him laced throughout on tracks like, for example, “turned your back.” However, that’s not to say that the YSL affiliate doesn’t bring the bangers to the table, as well. One particular standout that people latched onto (if streaming numbers indicate anything) is “fukumean.” It’s a classic Wunna-style cut that sees the artist fall into a focused and fiery pocket.

As far as the College Park MC’s performance, his flow on here plays to his strengths, and it’s one he’s proven to rock with each song. Furthermore, his easy switch-ups between measured lines and faster rhymes make each stanza more enjoyable to experience. Lyrically, his focus is more hedonistic this time around: the fame, the money, the girls, and his unrivaled status in the streets and in the game. To be fair, if Gunna didn’t go deeper on these themes on other tracks, some lines here might seem tone-deaf considering the conversation around his snitching allegations. But regardless, he gives listeners a reason to perk their ears up with catchy vocalizations and a killer beat.

Gunna Asks “fukumean” On a Gift & a Curse

On that note, the production takes advantage of a quintessential Gunna combo: flute melodies with some lightly plucked strings and piano with some added group ad-libs that give the song its title. Ultimately, the deep bass hits, shifting hi-hat patterns, and sharp snare turn this peaceful sonic pallet into a heater. It’s a good thing that, despite all the focus on the 30-year-old’s more meaningful content, he reached a balance between the personal and the effortlessly listenable on this album. You can find a Gift & a Curse on your preferred streaming service and peep some notable lines down below. Also, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Gunna.

Quotable Lyrics
I let her run through a million, I rock with her really, let’s fuck on a billion
I’ma get down to the gritty, then fuck up the city, the home of the villains
Ecstasy, wonderful feelin’
Smoke out the pound when I’m chillin’
Trappin’, I made me a killin’
Look, I got everybody wishin’

Gucci Mane Announces New Album “Breath Of Fresh Air” For October 2023 Release

Gucci Mane has taken to social media to announce his new album, Breath Of Fresh Air. He shared the album’s cover art, which features him and his wife with their two children. The rapper also shared that the album is set to be released later this year, on October 13, 2023. The post featured his newly-dropped single alongside Lil Baby, “Bluffin.”

Earlier this week, Gucci Mane revealed that he plans to go in a new direction with the upcoming LP. During an interview with Zane Lowe for New Music Daily, he revealed that the deaths of various friends impacted his decision. “Ever since, I guess November of when Dolph passed away and my artist Scarr passing away and TakeOff passing away and Pooh locked up and Foo locked up, that’s why I kind of named my album a Breath of Fresh Air,” he explained. Gucci Mane then described wanting to set a better example with his latest project. “I just, like I said, let me just try to be the person … I’m just not in the mood to hear a whole bunch of drilling and killing and this and that and not saying that I haven’t did that before, but just right now, just let me just kind of lead by example and show people that it is more to rap about than my opps and all that.”

Gucci Mane Unveils Details Of His Upcoming Release

You can rap about going out to eat with your girl or your wife. And that’s what all the songs are about. I’m not saying all about the same thing, but that’s what I’m kind of trying to get off. And a lot of artists I see rap about the pain in they life, but me through my career a lot of times I do a lot of rapping about cars and jewelry and just extravagance,” the rapper also explained.

Yesterday, Gucci Mane dropped the LP’s first single, “Bluffin” featuring Lil Baby. The song was accompanied by a music video, which showcases both rappers. He appears to diss Wack 100 on the new track, with bars that claim he “ain’t arguin’ on the internet.”

Gunna Feels Betrayed But Resilient On “turned your back”

Gunna’s latest album a Gift & a Curse is easily one of the most anticipated and immediately talked-about rap projects of the year so far in the mainstream. Not only is the College Park MC beloved for his musical output over the years, but his plea deal in the YSL RICO case after months in jail caused a large debate around his status and whether he could be labeled a “snitch.” It’s something that will unfortunately follow him around in his career for the foreseeable future. However, with this new set of tracks, he takes a big step towards reclaiming an elevated status in the game. Some of that had to do with his response to that conversation, but much of it comes thanks to the effective songwriting, layered production, and compelling narratives on tracks like “turned your back.”

First, the instrumental here is among the most dynamic and detailed that the 30-year-old has tapped in quite some time. The track opens with a muffled and brooding set of percussion that’s eventually replaced by cleaner drums led by a sharp snare and subtle hi-hats. In terms the melodies and harmonic elements of “turned your backs,” Gunna employs a lot of techniques to convey the atmosphere. Whether it’s mournful guitars, harmonized and ethereal background vocals, plucked strings, soft piano, or haunting synth pads, there’s a lot to chew on here. For those critical of his typical sound, this may be a welcome display of sonic depth.

Gunna Stuns On “turned your back”

Then there’s the “Banking On Me” rhymer’s performance, which is similarly versatile. A harmonized chorus lands on a somber melody, complemented by more tuneful flows throughout his verses. Still, he speaks on topics of betrayal, disloyalty, and disappointment with a resigned focus and almost tender vocal approach. It’s not unlike anything he’s done before, and will be right in many’s comfort zone. Still, this joins the ranks of “back to the moon” as a serious highlight on a Gift & a Curse, albeit for very different reasons. Check the album out on your preferred streaming service and peep some notable bars down below. Let us know what you think of the project down in the comments below. Quotable Lyrics

DJ Akademiks also recently revealed that Travis Scott is set to be featured on The Pink Tape, describing the collaboration as “fire.” They’re keeping the project under wraps for now, however, by wearing a USB around their neck.

Lil Uzi Vert has also shared that they were sober throughout the recording process of the new album.  “It was challenging at first. But then after probably after a month, I got used to it,” Uzi told TMZ. “I thought that my creative process wasn’t going to be the same because I wasn’t on drugs no more. It was the same. Even better. Because I could think more clear and I could actually, like, instead of my words slurring, which is kinda of cool, everything made sense. I didn’t just make random music. How can I say? I didn’t play off the beat. I actually made song with topics this time.”
