NBA YoungBoy Celebrates Lil Durk’s Album Pushback: Video

Decorated rappers Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy have long had beef between them, but over the past few days, things have become particularly tense as they each prepare to drop albums. The younger of the two has already shared projects like Don’t Try This At Home featuring Mariah the Scientist and Nicki Minaj as well as I Rest My Case so far in 2023. The Chicago native, on the other hand, has been quieter, making appearances on Don Toliver’s “Leave the Club” alongside GloRilla, and linking up once again with the Memphis-born baddie for the Phatnall Remix of her “Ex’s” song.

While YoungBoy stayed true to his word and unleashed Richest Opp on Friday (May 12), Durk opted to gatekeep his LP a little longer. Instead, the father of six gave us a taste of what’s to come with “All My Life” featuring J. Cole. Just hours after its debut, Twitter users already can’t get enough of the joint effort and have been singing both lyricist’s praises loudly. For his part, the Louisana-born hitmaker operated without assistance on almost all of his 17 tracks, apart from “Chopstick,” which boasts an appearance from Ten.

NBA YoungBoy Turns Up After Lil Durk Delays His Project

Durk’s single is still obviously stealing some of YB’s spotlight, but he seems pleased to not be competing with his nemesis’ new body of work in a video that’s circulating online. While flexing a massive stack of cash and dancing around, the 23-year-old mimics shooting noises and holding a gun at the camera before hurling some insults the “Laugh Now Cry Later” collaborator’s way. “Bitch ass n*gga! You pushed back, you better not ever try it again,” Kentrell Gaulden chiefly yells. “Don’t play with me!”

YoungBoy Never Broke Again Returns With New Mixtape ‘Richest Opp’

YoungBoy Never Broke Again Returns With New Album 'Richest Opp'

In what was supposed to be a battle of the albums, NBA YoungBoy still delivered his Richest Opp project. Lil Durk delayed Almost Healed for another week.

The new Richest Opp project comes on the heels of Youngboy recently dropping his 33-track Don’t Try This at Home album. In addition, YoungBoy released the video for “Bitch Let’s Do It.”

He also had a message for Durk after the release.

Richest Opp is a 17-track album largely delivered by the rapper solo. Included in the album is “Fuck the Industry Pt. 2,” where Youngboy throws shots at Drake, Durk, J. Cole, Lil Yachty, and more. You can hear all of the album below.

NBA YoungBoy Drops 17-Track Mixtape, “Richest Opp”

NBA Youngboy may have just released his latest album a few weeks ago, but he’s back with a new mixtape. Two days ago, the rapper posted the tracklist for Richest Opp on his Twitter account. The mixtape was revealed to have 17 tracks, which is a lot since the album he released in April was 33 songs long. Youngboy does tend to release an insane amount of material, but it’s probably because he has been on house arrest since 2021.

Despite his ongoing beef with Lil Durk and his near-constant online rants, the rapper seems to be living a relatively peaceful life in Utah. However, that’s not to suggest he has no dirty laundry to air out. As evidenced on the new mixtape, he has quite a bit of it. First, Youngboy took on Akademiks and Lil Durk in “B*tch Let’s Do It,” which he released yesterday. Then, earlier tonight, lyrics to “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2” were posted online ahead of the mixtape release. They contained very straightforward disses of huge industry names like Drake, Lil Yachty, and J. Cole.

YoungBoy Lashes Out At The Industry

There are plenty of aggressive tracks on NBA Youngboy’s new mixtape. However, “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2” is definitely a standout for several reasons. First, YB takes on big contemporaries like Drake, J. Cole, and Lil Yachty. He goes for the throat and doesn’t pull a single punch. Another reason the song is a standout is because of the video that the rapper released for it.

Rather than opting for a traditional music video, NBA YoungBoy decided to release an acapella video. It features the rapper sitting in what appears to be a tent, rapping and singing the lyrics to the song straight to the camera. It’s a one-take video, which means that even when the rapper makes a mistake, he keeps going. The sound sounded aggressive as it is, but something about YoungBoy rapping it acapella straight to the viewer makes it all the more intimidating. What do you think of Richest Opp? Let us know in the comments!

Tracklist:

  1. B*tch Let’s Do It
  2. I Got That Sh*t
  3. I Heard
  4. Hurt My Heart
  5. Dirty Thug
  6. Just Flow
  7. Free Meechy
  8. Father
  9. F*ck The Industry Pt. 2
  10. What You Gonna Do
  11. Perspective
  12. Chopstick (Feat. T.E.N [with Rionfive])
  13. Slimes Go Where I Go
  14. I Shot Qupid
  15. Channel 9
  16. I Want His Soul

NBA YoungBoy Drops Video For “B*tch Let’s Do It”

Yesterday, NBA Youngboy shared the tracklist for his upcoming mixtape, Richest Opp, on Twitter. The mixtape will consist of 17 tracks, which is a lot considering he released a 33-song album in April. However, there is a good reason for his frequent releases, as he has been on house arrest for years due to legal issues stemming from federal gun charges. Despite his house arrest, NBA Youngboy continues to achieve impressive career milestones. He recently became the youngest rapper ever to have 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, joining the ranks of elite rappers like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z.

Despite his ongoing issues with Lil Durk and DJ Akademiks, the rapper is seemingly living a relatively peaceful life in Utah. However, it seems pretty clear that even living in the middle of nowhere doesn’t mean you escape celebrity feuds. Earlier, the rapper released the lyrics to a pretty scathing diss track called “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2.” In the post, he highlighted disses of huge names like Drake, J. Cole, and Lil Yachty. Now, ahead of his new release, YoungBoy has dropped the intro track and a music video.

YoungBoy Struts Around His House In New Video

The opening track of NBA YoungBoy’s mixtape Richest Opp is called “B*tch Let’s Do It.” In the song, YoungBoy raps over an aggressive beat and takes aim at Lil Durk and DJ Akademiks through several subliminal shots. The Louisiana hip-hop-influenced track sets the tone for the rest of the mixtape as YoungBoy talks about his drug and firearm dependency, as well as his connection to several murders.

The video for the track features NBA YoungBoy strutting around his beautiful Utah home. The rapper focuses solely on the track, not providing much in the way of flashy visuals. As he is still on house arrest, filming any type of over-the-top visual is likely pretty difficult. YoungBoy manages to make do with what he has access to, however. What do you think of the rapper’s new video? Are you excited to hear the rest of Richest Opp? Sound off in the comments, and make sure you stay tuned to HNHH for all the latest on NBA YoungBoy’s new release.

NBA YoungBoy Disses Drake, J.Cole, And Lil Yachty In “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2”

Yesterday, NBA Youngboy posted the tracklist for Richest Opp on his Twitter account. The mixtape is set to have 17 tracks, which is quite a bit considered the 33-song album he just released in April. While YoungBoy does tend to release a ridiculous amount of material, there is a good reason for it. He has been on house arrest for years. Despite the ongoing beef with Lil Durk and his online rants, the rapper is currently living a relatively peaceful life in Utah. YoungBoy has been facing legal issues since he was arrested for federal gun charges several years ago. Sadly, because of this, he cannot make public appearances.

While YoungBoy might be on house arrest, he is still achieving huge career milestones. He just became the youngest rapper ever to have 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His first single, “Untouchable,” reached number 95 in 2017, and since then, he has managed to chart an additional 99 times as either a lead artist or a featured artist. Youngboy joins an elite group of rappers, including Nicki MinajDrakeLil Wayne, and Jay-Z, who have achieved this feat. He will no doubt chart again with some of the songs from his new mixtape. It seems like there might be some pretty controversial cuts on the album.

YoungBoy Is Coming For Everybody

With NBA YoungBoy’s new release close at hand, new bits and pieces about the project have been dropping online. His recent social media activity indicates that this mixtape will likely be more aggressive in tone. Just hours before the album’s release, the lyrics to the song “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2” were shared via social media. One thing is for certain: YoungBoy isn’t pulling any punches this time around.

In the new song, YB directly calls out several high-profile artists including Drake, J. Cole, and Lil Yachty. He even outlined the specific disses by putting the targets’ names in red. “Talk to Drake cross Facetime, he wasn’t feeling me,” the lyrics read. “Told me that he f*ck with Durk, damn that sh*t getting to me.” It looks like YoungBoy is going all out on this new mixtape. It will be interesting to see who else the rapper calls out in the 16 other tracks. What do you think of the lyrics to “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2”? Let us know in the comments!

NBA YoungBoy Reveals “Richest Opp” Tracklist

NBA YoungBoy just dropped the tracklist for his new mixtape, Richest Opp. The release has been surrounded by drama from all sides. YoungBoy just released a studio album a few weeks ago. As such, there was no need to release new music this soon. However, after Lil Durk announced that his new album would be out this Friday, YoungBoy quickly announced he’d be dropping the mixtape the same day. This news follows reports that the two artists are still involved in a feud, despite claims from DJ Akademiks that the beef had been resolved. Both YoungBoy and Durk denied this on their social media accounts. Durk stated that he is not friends with anyone, and YoungBoy called out Akademiks and his industry friends.

Akademiks clarified his previous statement through an Instagram comment. He explained that he meant Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy are no longer actively dissing each other in their music and tweets. The two rappers have been involved in a feud since last year when they released diss tracks targeting each other. Although the situation seemed to have calmed down for a while, the simultaneous release of their new projects may reignite the feud.
