Ludacris Blasts “Dumbest F*cking Question” About “Fast X”

Ludacris spoke about the Fast & Furious franchise during a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast. When asked why he and the rest of the crew continue making films in the series, he labeled it the “dumbest fucking question in the world.” Explaining why, he argued that they still make “billions of fucking dollars” with every movie.

“That’s the dumbest fucking question in the world. I’m going to tell you why,” Ludacris told hosts, Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. “Because no matter what industry we’re in: podcasts, music, movies — it’s all about a bottom line.”

Ludacris At Trailer Launch Of “Fast X”

He continued: “It’s all about how much you spend compared to how much you make. We’re making billions of fucking dollars. Bro, and I’m saying that like, I’m giving you my heart. I’m not trying to brag or nothing. So when you say — when some of ya’ll keep saying, ‘Why the fuck do ya’ll keep shooting these movies?’ Let me tell you why. ‘Cause if you spend $200 million and you make a billion, who the fuck is going to tell you to stop shooting the movies when you making 800 muthafuckin’ million dollars. How?”

From there, he told haters of the series to stop asking that question because he feels the answer is obvious. Since its release, earlier this month, Fast X has grossed $387 million at the box office. The Fast and Furious franchise as a whole recently crossed the $7 billion mark globally.

Ludacris On “Fast & Furious”

Despite being on its 10th installment, the Fast & Furious franchise doesn’t appear to be anywhere near slowing down. Vin Diesel recently revealed that there are spin-offs are already in the works. “I started developing the female spin-off in 2017 with other spin-offs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spin-offs,” he told Variety.

“Fast X” Is The Soundtrack You Should Be Listening To

Fast X hits theaters today, and the soundtrack just dropped along with it. The Fast and Furious films are one of the biggest film franchises in the world. As such, they enlisted an insane amount of artists for the soundtrack. Fast X‘s collection of original songs showcases a diverse lineup. Even the amount of genres included is practically unheard of: rap, pop, reggaetón, EDM, Latin pop, and more. Furthermore, prominent artists such as Lil Durk, NLE Choppa, Kodak Black, Babytron, Nardo Wick, EST Gee, BIA, G Herbo, and others are featured. Additionally, NBA YoungBoy contributed to the soundtrack. However, the single that he is featured on, “Won’t Back Down,” was released last week.

Considering the immense anticipation for Fast X, the inclusion of these highly-regarded artists really comes as no surprise. The franchise has established a reputation for impressive soundtracks. They’ve become known for their quality and star power. In fact, the music has always been a highlight in the franchise, and it has popularized many songs. This iteration of the soundtrack is sure to do the same.

“Fast X” Brings The Heat

The Fast X soundtrack comes in at around 45 minutes. It is pure adrenaline from start to finish, with numerous standout tracks. However, it also has its odd moments. For example, some of the songs are extremely short. “Furious,” which features BIA, is only 43 seconds long. It’s unclear why that is, particularly since the song is extremely catchy. It could have easily been expanded into a hit single. Still, it’s catchy enough to put on repeat a few times. Even with its sometimes odd features and short tracks, the soundtrack is a banger. What did you think? Let us know in the comments below!

Kodak Black & NLE Choppa Recruit Jimin, JVKE, & Muni Long For “Angel Pt. 1”

Kodak Black is one of the biggest artists in hip-hop right now. Overall, he has made some truly incredible songs and also has the discography to back up his stardom. Of course, Kodak also has a lot of peers. One of those peers is none other than NLE Choppa, who has been at it for a while now. As a consequence of their prowess as artists, it should come as no surprise that they have been tapped for the new Fast X soundtrack. Although, it looks like they have some other incredible stars to help them out.

NLE and Kodak Black are the stars of the new track “Angel Pt. 1,” which was released today. Moreover, this track features Muni Long and JVKE. However, the one name that truly stands out here would have to be Jimin from BTS. From a global perspective, he is by far the largest artist here. Additionally, it feels odds to see his name amongst the likes of Kodak and NLE Choppa. Regardless, it makes for a unique collaboration.

Kodak Black & Friends Do Their Thing

Seeing as though this is a movie soundtrack song, you can be sure that the production here is incredibly clean. The track immediately starts off with some piano melodies, while Jimin and JVKE sing the chorus. From there, Kodak Black and NLE Choppa are given the opportunity to trade some bars. Overall, it makes for a solid collaboration that also comes with great vocal performances from Muni Long.

Tomorrow, the entire Fast X soundtrack will be released on streaming services. That said, there will be no shortage of unique new collabs as of midnight. Let us know what you think of this brand-new song, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.

Ludacris Reveals New Album Will Be Released In 2024

Rapper Ludacris has revealed in an interview that his next album will most likely be shared with fans next year. In his interview with journalist Tamron Hall, he also shared that fans can expect to see new music later this year. “We’re definitely gonna get some music before the end of this year,” he says. Ludacris went on, “I would say an album, probably next year.” The rapper also cited his role in the upcoming Fast & Furious film Fast X for the delay. When asked what took him so long on this next album, he said “They keep shooting more movies. What am I supposed to do?”

He also said, “When I was young, I feel like some of my favorite rappers, once they get to a certain point, it’s almost like you wish that they were still kind of hungry and you feel like they don’t have it necessarily like they used to.” Ludacris revealed, he “never wanted to be that.” He called it “extremely important” for him “to prove to people that even though [he’s] doing all this other stuff, make no mistake, [he] still got it, and [he’s] still as hungry.”

Ludacris Blames Fast X For The Delay

Ludacris also spoke on his role in Fast X earlier this year at the trailer’s February premiere. He said, “I’m just so appreciative to be a part of this franchise.” He went on to express his gratitude “To be in music and to make history there and now to make history in the movies.” Saying he feels “like [he’s] the luckiest man on Earth” to “satisfy the curiosity in both worlds.”

The rapper first appeared in the Fast & Furious franchise in 2003, playing a small role in 2 Fast 2 Furious. The film saw the rapper acting alongside Paul Walker, Eva Mendes, Cole Hauser, and more. He was later also featured in Fast FiveFast & Furious 6Furious 7The Fate of the Furious, and F9. Viewers will see Ludacris perform with actors Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson and more. It was also revealed yesterday that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson makes a surprise appearance in the film. Fast X will be released in the U.S. later this week.

Dwayne Johnson Makes Surprise Appearance in “Fast X”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appears in a Fast X scene, despite pledging not to after a feud with Vin Diesel. Fast X, the final installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, stars Vin Diesel, alongside Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, and more. The film premieres in the U.S. later this week on May 19. Diesel asked Johnson to make an appearance in Fast X in November of 2021. Johnson responded to Diesel’s wishes, letting him know that it wasn’t going to happen.

In 2021, Vin Diesel posted a screengrab from an earlier Fast & Furious movie alongside Johnson. His caption reads, “I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo.” He adds, “I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale.” Diesel tells the actor, “I say this out of love… but you must show up.” Diesel asks the former WWE star to “not leave the franchise idle,” reminding him that, “[he has a very important role to play.” Diesel finished the post with, “Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.” Johnson called Diesel’s post “an example of his manipulation.”

Johnson later told CNN that he”told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise.” He went on to say he “was firm yet cordial with my words.” Also claiming he, “said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return.” He added that he didn’t like “that he brought up his children in the post,” or “Paul Walker’s death.” Going on to say, “Leave them out of it.” He said the two actors “had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding.”

Since appearing in 2017’s The Fate of the Furious with Diesel, Johnson also appeared in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw in 2019. Johnson has gone back on the statements he made about returning, as shown by his brief appearance in Fast X.

NBA YoungBoy Hops On “Fast X” Single, “Won’t Back Down”

NBA YoungBoy has gained immense popularity in the music industry, thanks to his hit singles. Despite facing several obstacles, including legal issues, he has managed to build a solid reputation. The rapper often collaborates with other top-tier artists in the field. His recent collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Mariah The Scientist on his new singles “WTF” and “Rear View” are a testament to that. The tracks are part of his recently released album, Don’t Try This at Home.

Even though NBA YoungBoy is known for his prolific output of material, he has been under house arrest since 2021. Despite his legal challenges, the rapper is leading a relatively peaceful life in Utah, where he has set up a home recording studio. He is fighting to regain his freedom after facing federal gun charges a few years ago. Unfortunately, the rapper is unable to make public appearances due to his house arrest. However, his excessive time at home has meant that he has released an insane amount of music.

YoungBoy Keeps On Banging Out Hits

Now, NBA Youngboy has dropped yet another new single. Or rather, he is featured on a new single. The rapper hopped on the new promotional single from Fast X, the 10th film in the Fast and Furious franchise. In typical promotional soundtrack single style, the song is about facing your fears head-on and overcoming obstacles. For the most part, it does sound somewhat generic. However, there is a certain catchiness to it. The context of the film will no doubt lend some weight to it, as well.

NBA Youngboy’s verse on the song is very much in line with the theme of the film. As everyone knows by the copious Vin Diesel memes, Fast and Furious films are all about family. Also fast cars and explosions, but that is beside the point. In his verse, YoungBoy talks about the importance of his family. “For my family, you could random me,” he raps. It’s a strong sentiment, but it goes to show that his priorities in life are straight. What do you think of the new track? Sound off in the comments!

Quotable Lyrics:

I admit I sound fallen
But for my family, I rise up
Plan on completing every mission
All before my time up

“Fast X” Revs Its Engines With New Trailer

In the words of Puck‘s Julie Alexander, Fast X is basically The Avengers: Infinity War movie of the long-running franchise. Likely the penultimate film of the main franchise, everyone you loved (or completely forgotten) from the previous films is seemingly back for their biggest ride yet.

Directed by Louis Leterrier (Transporter 2, The Incredible Hulk, Now You See Me), Fast X brings back most of the franchise’s characters to face off against their biggest villain yet. Jason Momoa (Aquaman) will make his franchise debut as Dante Reyes, the son of Fast Five villain Herman Reyes. Reyes now wants revenge against Dom (Vin Diesel) for the death of his father. And with Reyes targeting the allies Dom has made over the years, everyone is back in action.

“Fast X” has bombs, booty, and badassery galore

Our first glimpse of the action in this second trailer sees the gang driving through the streets of Rome. Tyrese is rocking a gold Lamborghini Gallardo while returning fan-favorite Han cruises alongside in an orange Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce. We then cut to Tej (Ludacris) and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) trapped in a semi-truck which, surprise! has a big ol’ bomb in the back. With a quirky smile, Reyes reveals that he’s about to blow up the Vatican. Momoa poses an interesting villain, who evidently departs from the machismo style so common in the series. Dante Reyes is set to be vibrant, extravagant, and completely against type for Momoa.

As the dubstep kicks in, Reyes reveals his origin story and tells Dom that he’s going to “break his family.” We are then introduced to just about every returning star – John Cena, Jason Statham, Scott Eastwood, and Charlize Theron to name but four. We get raves, crashes, CQC, the works in just over two and a half minutes. The trailer also introduces new ally Tess (Brie Larson) before ending with Dom racing an explosion down a dam. It’s everything that fans of the ridiculous franchise could want from a film of this scale. While an eleventh film is in development, don’t expect everyone to make it through this installment. Fast X hits theatres on May 19.
