4Batz Asks Kendrick Lamar For A Break In The Drake Feud So His OVO Debut Can Shine

4Batz jokingly asked Kendrick Lamar to take a break from dissing Drake so that his debut project for OVO, U Made Me A St4r, could have some time in the spotlight. The new signee to the imprint made the request in a post on Twitter, Saturday. He wrote: “yo @kendricklamar I just dropped my tape my n***a can I get 24hrs at least [crying laughing emojis].” Shortly afterward, he deleted the tweet from the platform, prompting fans to theorize that Drake made the call. 4Batz dropped his new album on Friday, featuring a remix of his hit song, “Act II: Date @ 8,” which now includes a verse from Drake.

He isn’t the only one upset at Kendrick dropping. His fans have also been complaining on social media. “I know the spotlight is on Kendrick & Drake rn, but this 4batz album is surprisingly really good,” one user tweeted over the weekend. Another remarked: “Kendrick doing all this to stop 4batz from gaining traction.”

Drake isn’t the only popular rapper to co-sign 4Batz in recent months. Back in January, Kanye West described the up-and-comer as one of his favorite artists. West ended up working on a remix of “Act III: On God? (She Like).” His song, ”act v: there goes another vase,” appeared on this week’s edition of HNHH’s “R&B Season” playlist. Gunna Previews Music From New Album On “Bittersweet” Tour’s Opening Night

Gunna previewed music from his upcoming fourth studio album, One of Wun, during the opening night show of his Bittersweet tour. The concert comes after the release of his latest single from the project, “Whatsapp (Wassam),” which he shared last week.

When DJ Akademiks posted a clip of Gunna performing the track on Instagram, fans expressed their excitement in the comments section. One user wrote: “I knew gonna was gonna be the best since his Drip or Drown days, his flow is just too smooth.” Another compared the release to Kendrick Lamar’s recent output amid his ongoing feud with Drake. “This new gunna song is better than every Kendrick song so far,” they wrote.

Speaking with XXL for an interview last month, Gunna told the outlet that the new output is reflective of his growth as an artist. “I think it’s more like it speaks for yourself. It’s self-explanatory,” he explained. “You see the growth. You see me evolving as an artist. And that’s what I’m doing, just evolving as an artist.” He further elaborated on how his mindstate has changed over the years. “As I evolve, my music evolves, too. I’m not the same 24-year-old that was putting out Drip Season 3, you know what I’m sayin’?” he said. “Now I’m 30, and I’m dropping “Bittersweet” and A Gift & A Curse. That resonates with how I’m living. Back then, it did, too. But that was for that time. So, this time, I’m just evolving differently, but it transpired over to the music, too.” Check out the clip of Gunna performing new music below.

Teyana Taylor Wows Fans With Sultry Cabaret Show, Leonardo DiCaprio Stops By

Earlier this weekend, Teyana Taylor took part in “The Dirty Rose” cabaret show at The Times Square EDITION hotel, which she organized alongside WME. She showed off her sultry dance moves onstage Saturday (May 4), leaving attendees in awe. One of her famous co-stars, Leonardo DiCaprio, was also spotted enjoying the show.

Taylor and DiCaprio were previously spotted getting close at an Oscars party, sparking rumors that they’re an item. She later addressed the speculation, however, making it clear that they’re just close friends. According to her, she was only wrapping her arms around Leo to fix his hair and doesn’t have any intentions of taking things further with the Titanic star.

Leonardo DiCaprio Enjoys Teyana Taylor’s Recent Cabaret Show

“Leo wore extensions for the movie and they were hurting him. I was literally helping him with his bun,” she told E! News in an exclusive interview at the time. “And if you’ve seen the video, I said something about cornbread because my chef was cooking for the whole cast… We gotta make sure his bun is right. We gotta make sure he’s eating good.” Clips from the evening seem to back this up, as DiCaprio was seen getting up close and personal with other women at the event. Regardless, fans are glad to see the two co-stars showing support for one another ahead of the Paul Thomas Anderson film they’re both starring in, which is slated for release in August of next year. Several more of Taylor’s celebrity peers also attended the event, including Winnie Harlow, Summer Walker, and more.

As for what else Taylor’s been up to as of late, she was recently spotted soaking up the sun on a yacht, having a blast at Revolve Festival, and more. 4batz & Rapsody Take A Big Leap On Our New “R&B Season” Playlist Update: Stream

The hip-hop war is all the rage now, but we all need some time to cool off, relax, and get a little more in tune with some more easy-going tunes. Moreover, we have a new R&B Season playlist update to share with you rounding up the best of the best genre-adjacent releases this week. When it comes to big drops, none were more anticipated than 4batz’s debut project, u made me a st4r, which represents his rapid skyrocket up the up-and-coming artist pipeline. There are highlights throughout, with a particularly catchy and smoky listen being “act v: there goes another vase.”

Elsewhere, we also had Rapsody tapping into her R&B bag with the Erykah Badu-assisted cut, “3:AM.” However, she lets Badu take care of the singing and melodic and harmonic prettiness over a crisp, sax-backed, and chill beat that would be fitting for a variety of the genre’s hits. The North Carolina MC goes into some calm but still impactful verses and flows, along with some introspective themes of accepting insecurities and reflecting that acknowledgement and process with those closest to you.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist: Stream

Another big collaboration that dropped this week features two crooners teaming up for a sultry but still vibe-heavy and hard-hitting cut. Chris Brown and J. Valentine trade vocal runs on “UnLonely,” pairing simple piano leads with a clap-based trap beat and flipping flows with ease. The contrast on this track doesn’t really highlight anything unique about it, but it does provide an interesting clash between the more tender elements and the more hype ones. In other words, it’s exactly the kind of balance that a lot of R&B or rap-related releases achieve these days in tandem with one another, which is always great to see.

Finally, we wanted to shout out the new Coco Jones track, “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” for its beautiful homage to older soul styles. But the only thing that outshines the lush instrumental here is Coco’s gorgeous vocal performance, another guaranteed win. Let us know what your favorite R&B Season pick was this week, as well as what else we missed, down in the comments section below. Check the playlist out above and, as always, stick around on HNHH for the latest great music drops around the clock.

SZA ‘Got Caught Bullying’ Ben Stiller About The Next Season Of ‘Severance’ And He Quickly Responded

Every now and again, bullying can help to better society. Ironically, SZA, an avid proponent of anti-celebrity online harassment found herself on the other side of things.

Despite her busy schedule, which includes her international SOS Tour dates, the “Snooze” singer still manages to catch up television’s hottest shows. Thanks to her May 2 post on X (formerly Twitter), SZA’s followers found out that includes Apple TV’s Severance starring Ben Stiller.

“Was tryna be polite but I really need a new season of ‘Severance’ right the f*ck now,” she wrote.

Well SZA’s outcry quickly made its way back to Stiller. So, the actor took hopped onto his personal page to issue a response.

“Ok…ok. Got it,” he replied.

Although the original series was renewed, not much progress has been made since its 2022 debut. With SZA lighting a fire under the production team, things could change soon. Even so, SZA decided to issue a playful apology for her strong language.

“Omg,” she wrote. “Please accept my humble apology 🥹 LMAO. Whenever you’re ready is fine 😩. [I’m] just dying of thirst. It’s the best show ever! You’re a madman 🫡. Thank you, Mr. Stiller, king sir!”

“Not I’m a stan and got caught bullying,” she wrote. “Not bullying works. I’m calling the cops on myself.”

Now, Severance viewers have launched a countdown until new episodes are uploaded to the streamer.

Megan Thee Stallion Divides Fans With Low Ticket Prices, But There Might Be A Catch

Megan Thee Stallion is going on tour soon, but some fans are calling into question whether it will be a sold-out experience or a less crowded affair. Moreover, this argument has been made by many of her detractors in the past, but this time around, it’s due to $24 ticket prices on Ticketmaster for seats not as close to the stage. Some fans argue that this indicates that the Houston MC is desperate to sell tickets, while others brought up Live Nation’s concert week in which many concerts are getting steep discounts. You can see some more fans debate this in the Instagram post below, as well as in its comment section.

Furthermore, you can see how either way, it doesn’t seem to have much to do with ticket sales, and fans also debated whether an artist selling more financially accessible tickets is a bad thing. Either way, it’s probably not going to bother Megan Thee Stallion, who’s been teasing some new music recently and hyping up a drop soon. It’s unclear whether this will come out before the tour’s scheduled kickoff in Minneapolis on May 14, but fans obviously hope it drops ASAP. Regardless, we’re sure that there will be material eventually for this summer tour, and it has a lot of potential to stun.

Fans Debate Megan Thee Stallion’s Ticket Pricing

However, Megan Thee Stallion does have to handle some more serious accusations and rumors flying about concerning a harassment lawsuit. While her legal team dismissed this as a “salacious” attempt to get money, we won’t really know anything for sure until the case itself goes away. Of course, this prompted a lot of rightfully earned debate, especially from other fanbases in hip-hop that have beef with the Hotties. There’s some reaching and exaggeration on either side, so this is nothing to take lightly as legitimate legal action.

Meanwhile, in the wait time for that to develop, the Ticketmaster promotion (if true) will likely change in the next few days to age the narratives like fine wine or like milk. There’s been both support and attacks when it comes to the harassment allegations that supersedes any ticket talk. But maybe we just have to wait for the whole tour to go down to see what’s up. But if you want to go to a show, we’d recommend you buy ASAP if this is still an active deal when you read this.

Rihanna Shows Off Pink Hair

Towards the end of last month, the “RIOT” rapper dropped some new merch in support of the upcoming album, which got fans speculating that the release of Don’t Be Dumb is finally on the horizon. An official release date has yet to be confirmed.

He’s not the only one working on a new album, however. At a Fenty Beauty launch party last week, Rihanna shared some new details of her own upcoming album, which fans have also been waiting on for years. She’s also yet to announce a release date, but she did set the bar high.

ASAP Rocky Says New Album Is Coming “Very Soon”

“It’s gonna be amazing,” she told Extra at the event. “It has to be — that is the only reason it’s not out yet. Kendrick Lamar Fans Label Drake’s House On Google Maps: “Owned By Kendrick”

Kendrick Lamar fans and Drake fans are not as different as they think. After Kendrick Lamar used Drake’s house with child sex offender markers as his cover art for the “Not Like Us” diss track, it seems like some pgLang followers got creative with Google Maps’ option to customize locations. Moreover, they now read things like “Owned by Kendrick,” “A-Minor,” “Kendrick’s dog,” etc. K.Dot’s supporters are using the Internet narratives much in the same way that the OVO camp (including its boss) has done during this beef. For this and for the horrid allegations thrown at both MCs, there’s a lot more even playing field that die-hards on either side would have you believe.

Furthermore, no one knows how this beef will age, what will clear up, what more will come out, and whether or not Kendrick Lamar will really go overkill and risk a desperate look with yet another diss. Drake is in an interesting position right now to double down or change course, and we know that either option could be very deadly. The question now is what it will take for him to do that, and whether K.Dot’s pressure tactics will ever backfire when the hype behind a drop is so massive. Allegations aside, both are fearlessly calculating and strategizing their efforts.

Drake’s House Targeted By Kendrick Lamar Fans On Google Maps

Elsewhere, Drake is rumored to have responded to Metro Boomin’s “diss beat” online, although it’s an alleged response since it’s hard to find where the actual screenshotted comment comes from or if it’s just doctored. Either way, he did directly respond to the daughter claims by outright denying them on his Instagram Story, but not to any of the other claims that Kendrick Lamar put forth. The Toronto superstar asked Mr. Morale for some paperwork on his snitching claims and claimed that he pressured Tupac’s estate to take down his earlier diss, but no direct statements emerged about the harsher accusations. Kendrick, on the other hand, grouped all of Drake’s shots together as lies and kept claiming them as such in these diss tracks, which is still a sidestep.

Whether it’s Drake’s house or Kendrick Lamar’s height, there’s been a lot of para-social fun on social media with folks documenting and clowning the magnitude of this moment in mainstream hip-hop. The culture is debating a winner, and Kendrick Lamar and Drake might not have even dealt the killing blow yet. Once there’s proof on the table, then this might be a different story, and it hopefully should be taken seriously. But for now, not even Google is safe from this war.
