LL Cool J and Eminem are both making major comebacks to hip-hop very soon, as both have impending albums on the way. For the former MC hailing from New York, his return has been 11 years in the making. THE FORCE, which is slated for a fall release according to HipHopNMore, is already shaping up to be a massive moment for the genre and longtime fans of the hitmaker. LL put out the lead single this past Friday (June 14), “Saturday Night Special”, which features Rick Ross and Fat Joe. Then, there is Eminem. The Detroit icon started his album rollout for The Death of Slim Shady already by releasing the controversial track “Houdini”.

With two mainstays looking to reaffirm their positions in hip-hop lore already being big news, there could not be anything that could top that right? Well, think again, as rumors are swirling around X circles that LL Cool J and Eminem have a collaboration potentially in the works for the first time ever. The track is called “Murdergram” and there is a strong belief that it could land on THE FORCE. However, there is some good news and some bad news.

Let us start with the negative’s first. The song is already losing hype amongst the fans, as the song was leaked to X in full yesterday, potentially ruining the chance that it officially drops. Furthermore, the people that did check out the leak felt that Emimen put in a forgettable performance. Now for the positives. Social media users who decided to not play the unreleased version can feel even better about it, as at the time of writing, the leak was hit with a copyright strike. This could mean that Cool J or Eminem’s team came across and did not want to spoil the anticipation any further. Overall, it is an odd situation, but the leak community is still a huge problem, especially this year.

Mac Lethal Calls Tom MacDonald A “Nazi” In Scathing New Diss Track

Mac Lethal is an artist and radio host who has never shied away from going at those who come for him first. Overall, he stands his ground, and you have to appreciate that quality in an MC. In fact, Lethal has found himself at odds with Canadian MAGA rapper, Tom MacDonald. MacDonald is known for his political songs in which he attempts to dismantle the concept of “wokeness,” all while spitting some of the cringiest bars put on record. He’s been known to diss other artists, particularly those who may disagree with him ideologically.

Well, Mac Lethal has had enough. Just a couple of days ago, he came through and dropped off a new song called “Tom MacDonald Is A Nazi.” This track is over seven minutes in length and is broken up in two parts. In the first part, he takes aim at McDonald’s ideological views and even has some strong words for the rapper’s girlfriend. There are references to Roc-A-Fella and Russell Simmons, although they’re a bit too NSFW to repeat. Meanwhile, the second part is more of an ideological takedown of MacDonald.

Mac Lethal Responds To Tom MacDonald

At the end of the track, Mac Lethal invokes Kendrick Lamar’s warning on the song “Euphoria.” “Maybe your best course/Would be to tread lightly,” Lethal says. Given MacDonald’s antagonistic nature, it would not be a surprise if he comes through with a response. With a presidential election on the horizon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see MacDonald keep up the provocation. As for Mac Lethal, only time will tell whether or not he will have to spring back into action.

Diddy Allegedly Abused Cassie For Having An Affair With Kid Cudi

Roger Bonds, a former security guard for Diddy, claims the Bad Boy mogul once beat up Cassie after learning of an alleged affair she had with Kid Cudi in 2011. Speaking with VladTV for a recent interview, Bonds explained that he was only doing security part-time by that point; however, he heard that she was romantically involved with Cudi. Bonds then says that Diddy found out about this affair by going through Cassie’s phone.

“I don’t know exactly what he said. I know that he went over to his house and Kid Cudi wasn’t there,” he explained. “At that particular time, after that happened, Cassie wouldn’t come around and then, all of the sudden, Cassie came around and Diddy was upset. He was upset with a young lady called Capricorn. So, Capricorn was his personal assistant.” From there, he describes Capricorn as Diddy’s “ride or die” and recalls him rarely getting upset with her. “She had to know about Kid Cudi because she never went to the studio by herself. She always went with Cassie,” he said. “He put hands on Capricorn because of that situation. Capricorn ended up leaving and suing him for it. He paid Capricorn $450,000 to keep her mouth shut.”

The claims about Kid Cudi are just one of several Bonds has made about Diddy during the entirety of his new interview with VladTV. Bonds also accused him of being a “junkie,” insulting Cassie’s parents, and much more. The interview comes after CNN published footage from 2016 of Diddy assaulting Cassie at a hotel. While he seemingly apologized for that incident afterward, he’s vehemently denied the allegations he’s facing.

The 2024 Global Citizen Festival Will Hit Central Park With A Lineup Including Doja Cat And Post Malone

On September 28, the Great Lawn in New York City’s Central Park will play host to the 2024 Global Citizen Festival. The event is coming into shape with the headliners announced today, June 18: Doja Cat, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, and Rauw Alejandro lead the way, while additional performers are set to be announced.

The event is set to be hosted by Hugh Jackman (a Global Citizen Ambassador), while Jane Goodall and Coldplay’s Chris Martin (the latter being the Global Citizen festival curator) are expected to appear.

There are two main ways to get tickets. There’s a general on-sale that begins today at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster, or you can earn free tickets by “taking action” through Global Citizen. More information is available on the event website.

Doja said in a statement (as Billboard notes), “It’s been a few years since I was last on the Global Citizen Festival stage in Paris, and I’m excited to join forces with Global Citizen once again in Central Park this September to drive as much action as we can to make the world a better place. We all have a part we can play to help end extreme poverty and stand up for equity. I’m looking forward to being part of this major evening of positive change.”

A statement from organizers also notes, “The hunger crisis continues to grow, infectious diseases are still spreading, debt is on the rise, and last year was the hottest on record. Meanwhile, governments everywhere are reducing their contributions to foreign aid, with more than half of G7 countries having proposed cuts this year. Despite the emerging gap between what the world needs and what seems politically possible, the plight of the world’s most vulnerable communities is more urgent than ever. This is a critical year for the global community to support frontline organizations, invest in lifesaving solutions, and act today, to save tomorrow.”

Post Malone Gave Steve-O An Impressively Graphic NSFW Tattoo Right On His Face

Given that Steve-O came to fame as a member of the Jackass crew, he’s known for not sying away from extreme things. Well, he’s at it again. He didn’t put himself in harm’s way this time, but his body didn’t leave the moment the same way it entered it.

Steve-O just turned 50 on June 13, and he decided he wanted to celebrate by having Post Malone tattoo a penis right on his forehead. So, that’s what he did. Steve-O announced the stunt earlier this month, saying, “If you can believe it, I’m getting my first face tattoo… but that will be the day after my birthday. Post Malone’s gonna tattoo a dick on my forehead. That’s the plan.”

As the video shows, the inking went down the weekend Post Malone headlined Bonnaroo. There were seemingly some nerves from both Malone and Steve-O, but Malone got to work, starting “with the balls,” per Steve-O’s instruction, right above the eyebrow.

In a part of the video filmed after the tattooing, Steve-O offers a more clear look at the art, and it’s a relatively detailed piece, with the work contouring to the shape of his eyebrow, complete with some strategically placed liquid droplets.

A Mariachi Band Playing ‘Higher’ By Creed At A Rangers Game Is The Most Beautiful Thing You’ll Hear Today

Creed has gone through quite the renaissance in the last year or so. While the band was huge back in the late-90s and early-00s, it’s not unusual to hear one of their songs like “Higher” or “One Last Breath” get used as a sound on TikTok by someone who was 100 percent not alive when Creed was one of the biggest bands in the United States.

As part of the band’s renewed popularity, Creed is about to embark on a tour with a bunch of acts that were also popular back then: 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Tonic, Big Wreck, and Finger Eleven will all be involved at one point or another. And hopefully, this mariachi band that played “Higher” during Monday night’s game between the New York Mets and the Texas Rangers gets some love at one point on the tour, because this is legitimately a beautiful cover of the song.

That little musical section before the chorus is terrific — well, the whole thing is terrific, but that was my favorite part. And while it took a second for the Mets’ SNY broadcast to catch onto the performance, once they did, they loved it.

Anyway, the Mets entered Monday night’s game in Texas having won nine of their last 11 games. Grimace is involved in this run. Baseball rocks.

Tems is an artist who has been developing into a star over the last few years. Overall, she has an incredible voice and has been able to deliver strong tracks and albums that showcase the full extent of her talents. Moreover, she has been sampled on some huge hit records in the hip-hop world. Most infamously, her vocals were found on the song “WAIT FOR U” which is a collaboration between the likes of Drake and Future.

In a new interview on the Korty EO YouTube channel, Tems opened up about some of the challenges she has faced as a woman in the industry. For instance, she noted that some men become distracted by her in the studio. Overall, she finds this gets in the way of her achieving her goal of making great music. As a result, she has decided to only wear baggy clothes when recording songs. “I want you to not be seduced by me,” she explained.

Over on The Shade Room, many commenters noted just how awful it is that Tems feels as though she has to do this. At the end of the day, the men in the room should be held accountable to keep things professional. Drake has had a bit of a rough start to the year thanks to Kendrick Lamar. Although he entered his feud with Kendrick feeling confident, he ultimately got blown out thanks to “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.” Overall, most fans believe Kendrick won the battle. This was subsequently strengthened by some weak verses on “U MY EVERYTHING” and the parody track “Wah Gwan Delilah.” However, Drake is now setting his sights on his new ranch in Texas, which cost him a cool $15 million.

Over the weekend, Drake was seen posted up at the ranch, where he was taking photos with horses. Moreover, his trip to Texas led to some speculation and reports that he is filming a music video. Some believe he is looking to dabble in country music. Meanwhile, others just think Drake is changing locations to get some inspiration. Whatever the case may be, he is clearly looking to make a new home for himself down South.

In the Facebook post above, Drake could be seen at the Brenham Saddle Shop. As the owners of the shop revealed, the superstar’s team called ahead of time. That’s when they let the shop know he would be swinging by. The owners then went on to note that they opened up the shot ahead of time for Drake, and that his entire team was courteous. They had nothing but good things to say about the artist. Furthermore, he even stopped to take a photo with all of them. It was a cool moment and one that will likely continue to happen in other shops as Drake looks to make connections in the state.

Kendrick Lamar Allegedly Filming “Not Like Us” Music Video In Compton Soon

Kendrick Lamar has been dominating 2024 with a plethora of diss tracks, and one earth-shattering feature. Subsequently, Drake shot back, and Kendrick was ready with “Euphoria.” In the span of a week, we also got “6:16 In LA,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “Not Like Us.” “Not Like Us” was the kill shot and has proven to be one of the best songs of the entire year.

For weeks now, there has been all sorts of speculation about whether or not Kendrick would be dropping a music video for the track. The common denominator here is that those speaking on the alleged music video have all said it’s being filmed in Compton. This would make sense, especially with Kendrick hosting a concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday. In fact, in a new video, Reggie Wright Jr. came out and said that Kendrick is supposedly filming his music video this weekend.

Reggie Wright Jr. Talks Kendrick Lamar

As Wright describes, folks in the Compton area should try and remain outside all day Saturday, as they may just become the stars of a music video. Wright couldn’t give many other details, although he seemed confident in his assertions. Euro Luxxk, a close friend of Kendrick’s, confirmed that Wright was telling the truth. However, he later tweeted that he enjoys trolling. So at this point, there is really no telling whether or not the music video is coming. Sean Paul Claims Chance Encounter Led To Classic Beyonce Collab

2003 was a breakthrough year for both Sean Paul and Beyonce. Both artists landed their first number one singles, and then they linked up for the joint number one, “Baby Boy.” It was an inspired blend of pop and dancehall, but the origins of the sang actually date back several years. Sean Paul talked about the hit single during a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter. He revealed that his friendship with Queen Bey started during her days in Destiny’s Child.

Sean Paul told the outlet that he got a chance to meet Beyonce during the late 1990s. “She opened on a show here in Jamaica with Destiny’s Child,” he recalled. “They only had one song, and I was on that same show. That’s where we all met.” The two artists had similar tastes in music, but Sean Paul was pleasantly surprised when Beyonce reached out for a collab on her debut solo album. “Knowing she called me back a couple of years later for her first solo project was awesome,” he admitted. Paul wrote the bulk of “Baby Boy” with Beyonce, and praised the singer for embracing dancehall sounds.

Sean Paul Praised Beyonce’s Musical Ambition

Sean Paul told THR that hip-hop artists were always interested in dancehall, but was impressed that a pop star like Beyonce would take a chance on such a different sound. “At the time, people were hollering at me to do collabs,” the reggae artist noted. “I was working with Busta Rhymes, I was doing stuff with Clipse and Blu Cantrell—and all of those things were very dope but they were more Hip-Hop oriented. This was such a big artist, and she was stepping out on her own.” Beyonce’s instincts proved dead on. “Baby Boy” was a smash hit that topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks. It would be Beyonce’s biggest hit until 2007, and Paul’s biggest hit ever.

Eclecticism is part of Beyonce’s image in 2024. She’s dabbled in dance, country, and just about every genre you can name. Still, she holds a special place in her heart for dancehall. She based much of her classic 2018 performance at Coachella on dancehall and Jamaican culture. She covered the standard “Still in Love with You Boy” by Marcia Aiken, and performed “Baby Boy” before a screaming audience. Paul is still extremely proud of the song. “It made sense to me,” he concluded. “And it made history for both of us.”
