Birdman Shuts Down Theories That Hip-Hop Has Become “Soft”

There’s been plenty of discourse about the current state of hip-hop as of late, particularly amid all of the viral rap beef taking place online. It’s sparked questions of whether or not hip-hop has become soft, as instead of hashing things out in the streets, artists’ new go-to is social media. During a recent appearance on Steve-O’s Wild Ride!, Birdman chimed into the debate, revealing whether or not he believes things have changed since his come-up in the 90s. According to him, things haven’t gotten better in terms of violence. In fact, he thinks things have gotten worse.

“F*ck no,” the Cash Money Records icon said of hip-hop becoming soft. “We was cool back then without social media, now these young n***as killing — it’s a different operation. You just got to know how to adjust either way. It’s a different time, from then to now.”

Birdman Says Violence Has Increased

He went on to note that social media makes it easier to start problems with people, and how immediately things can spread. “Back then, we didn’t have social media, so if you got a problem with a n***a, who gon’ know? ‘Cause you ain’t making songs about no n***a, but nowadays with social media, you got a problem, the whole world gon’ know. It’s just a different time and I just hope it get better, bro,” he said.

Birdman elaborated, noting how he hopes the violence will come to an end once and for all. “I don’t want to see people losing their lives, ’cause that’s happening,” he explained. “Even n***as rapping are not rapping. People really losing their lives over social media.” What do you think of Birdman’s take on the current state of hip-hop? Do you agree that it hasn’t become soft since he came up in the 90s? Young Buck Questions 50 Cent Feud Origin: “Why Are You Doing This To Me?”

It’s no secret that Young Buck and 50 Cent have had their fair share of differences in the past. According to the Nashville-born performer, however, he’s not quite sure what’s prompted things to go as far as they have. During a recent appearance on Steve-O’s Wild Ride! podcast, Young Buck expressed confusion surrounding his and Fif’s feud, detailing the impact it’s had on his life and career.

Young Buck was kicked out of G-Unit back in 2008 for claiming that 50 Cent failed to pay him royalties. From there, Fif accused him of owing him two G-Unit albums and $250K in 2020, after Young Buck filed for bankruptcy. While he acknowledges having made “mistakes” in the past, Young Buck is unsure what made 50 Cent go after him as aggressively as he has.

Young Buck Doesn’t Know What He Did

“I don’t know what I did to make him want to see me not feed my children,” he began. “50’s his own person, but I would never wish death or wanna see him not be able to feed his family. Yeah, we had our misunderstandings — I don’t even call them beefs. But to do some of the things that he’s done in attempt to try to discredit my name, discredit me as a person, to damage my character and put out all these false narratives of different things in regards to certain cr*ziness that I’ve went through.”

“It’s just like, ‘You rich, my man. You still doing your thing,’” he continued. “‘I love your TV show Power, you know what I mean? Why are you doing this to me? Bruh, we was once brothers. I’ve always looked at you as big brother. Yes, I’ve made mistakes too. But I’ve never done anything to try to take food out of your mouth or stop you from eating.’ To see how aggressive he is towards me makes me feel like, ‘Damn, are you trying to Ja Rule me, too?!’” What do you think of Young Buck’s recent comments on his feud with 50 Cent? Steve-O Jumps Off London Bridge Tower, Detained By Cops

Steve-O did some extreme sightseeing in London, England, on Thursday, July 6th. The Jackass stuntman, all clad in Union Jack streetwear and a British flag umbrella, counted “One, Two, Three” before jumping from one of the London Bridge Towers into the River Thames. A few screaming fans were in attendance for the impromptu stunt…as were the London police. Once he made it to shore, the cops arrested and detained Steve-O for the unsanctioned stunt.

The London police allowed him to change his shirt and escorted him to a cop car through a throng of people. Some fans started chanting Steve-O’s name as he talked with the British fuzz. In the middle of his getting detained, he plugged his comedy show, which he was filming while in the U.K. “We just opened up tickets for the late show on July 14th at the Hackney Empire,” he says to the camera. “It’s the taping of my Bucket List special. Be there!” He then got put into a police car.

Why Did Steve-O Jump Off The London Bridge?

This stunt was clearly part of the Bucket List special Steve-O’s filming in London. TMZ got footage of the stunt and the subsequent detaining of the infamous stunt star, showing just how unfazed he is about the whole ordeal. Perhaps there is some sort of agreement between his production crew and English officials on the legality of the stunt. However, the police informed Steve-O that they were afraid his stunt would cause others to do the same for suicidal purposes. They weren’t concerned about the filming of the bridge leap as much as they were about British public health.

Steve-O said that they let him go eventually. And while he spent some time in a cop car, it didn’t compare to the half-minute he spent in the Thames. He called the river absolutely filthy, which won’t mix well with a new tattoo he just got above the knee. And this isn’t the first jump he’s done in England. He also leaped off a double-decker bus onto the pavement, making for a tougher landing than a dirty river.

Steve-O Pleads With Bam Margera: “You’re Dying, Brother”

Steve-O made an emotional plea with his Jackass partner, Bam Margera, in a since-deleted Instagram comment, earlier this week. Steve-O attempted to use Margera’s son as inspiration for him to get sober.

“Bam, last night you had your five-year-old son with you on stage at my show,” Steve-O began his lengthy comment. He went on to label Margera’s post “vile nonsense like this.”

Steve-O was referring to the fact that he’s been bringing Margera along on his The Bucket List Tour. He explained during his first appearance that it would hopefully help keep Margera sober. It’s unclear how many more shows Margera will participate in. The tour will continue through the end of March.

“I hope you understand how awful that is,” Steve-O continued in his rant. “You say you want to have a relationship with your son, but your actions guarantee the exact opposite will happen. I brought you on tour with me in hopes that I could get you to see what’s possible for you if you choose recovery.”

“I’ve tired everything I can, but I can’t force you to get honest and do the work of recovery,” Steve-O further wrote. “I wish you could know how much I’ve hated feeling braced for news of your death, but you’re making it clear that I have no other choice. You’re dying, brother, and it sucks that I can’t do anything to save you.”

While unclear, it seems that Steve-O posted the comment in response to a post that saw Margera insult both Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine. He labeled Knoxville a “poser” and Tremaine, who is the director of Jackass, “greedy.” The two previously fired Margera from Jackass Forever amid substance abuse and mental health struggles. Late last year, Margera revealed that he was recently medically dead for a short time. He suffered five different seizures and contracted pneumonia. Check out Steve-O’s since-deleted comment, as shared on Twitter, below.

Steve-O Brings Out Bam Margera For “The Bucket List Tour”

Steve-O brought out his Jackass costar Bam Margera at one of his latest stops for his The Bucket List Tour. TMZ has obtained video of the event in Elsinore Theatre in Salem, Oregon.

Margera taking the stage drew huge applause from the crowd. Steve-O later compared Bam’s life to Britney Spears. They also shared humorous stories from rehab.

Steve-O further revealed that he’ll be bringing Bam along for the rest of The Bucket List Tour.

The Bucket List Tour comes just weeks after Margera revealed that he was recently pronounced dead. Speaking again with Steve-O on his Wild Ride podcast, Margera explained that he suffered five different seizures and contracted pneumonia.

“Basically, I was pronounced dead on Dec. 8,” Margera said. “I did not know that I had gnarly COVID and my body was shutting down. I went into four seizures, each one lasting 10 to 20 minutes. On the fourth one I bit my tongue so hard it was nearly fallen off. It got so swollen and puffy it wouldn’t fit in my mouth. I was drinking the infected blood which gave me pneumonia as well.”

He continued: “I went to the hospital and had my fifth seizure and then couldn’t breathe without a tube down my throat. I woke up five days later thinking I was there for just a couple hours. I spent eight days in there. When they took that tube out I felt like I sucked on Darth Vader’s dick.”
