Will Smith Was Loving Childish Gambino’s Joke About Him & Sam Smith

Will Smith appeared to enjoy Childish Gambino bringing him up during his speech at the BET Awards on Sunday night. In a new video circulating on social media, Smith can be seen watching along backstage as Gambino complains that he has more Grammys than the legendary entertainer, but fewer BET awards than Sam Smith. Gambino’s lone win came with Video of the Year for his hit song, “This is America,” in 2019.

“I’m really excited to be here, but I want to get some things on my chest first,” Gambino began. “This isn’t personal, but I just feel I should have more BET Awards. I’m serious. It’s the Black Entertainment Television Awards. How much more entertaining do I have to do?” He continued: “It’s just the math of the fact, because it doesn’t really make sense. I have more Grammys than Will Smith – which makes no sense – but I have the same amount of BET Awards as Sam Smith. Does that make sense to you guys? Gambino was on stage to present Killer Mike with the award for Album of the Year for his project Michael. Earlier in the night, he was up for Best Actor but lost out to Denzel Washington. He also performed a tribute for Usher who took home the Lifetime Achievement award.

Foolio’s Alleged Instagram Hacker Claims “The Game Just Begun”, Freaking Out Fans Again

Fans of Foolio continue to be disgusted, perplexed, and frightened, as his Instagram account remains active. Ever since the Florida rapper’s death was confirmed by his attorney on June 23, somehow someone has a hold of his social media account. The alleged hacker is still currently unknown and might be for a while as it is the internet after all. This suspicious activity was first noticed on June 28. The mystery person behind the keyboard left some “” emojis under Yungeen Ace’s second distasteful diss track, “Game Over”. The comment has since been deleted, but it prompted the latter to respond. “You still f***ing with me dude I love you 4eva,” he wrote probably sarcastically. Then, just hours later, a short video was shared to Foolio’s IG, asking people to follow a separate account. That action has also been removed.

Two days would pass before the next creepy stunt. Via an IG Story, the alleged hacker shared a paystub of some sort showing that “Foolio” made $250,000 off a promo. Finally, just yesterday, an unnerving message was sent out along with a clip from a No Jumper interview. In it, the hosts were wanting to see him again and the MC promised they would see him again because he is a “demigod”. That led to the caption reading, “I’ll Never Die I’m a DemiGod ”. So, yes, it is safe to say that things are beyond weird right now for his fans, but also for his still grieving family and friends who have to suffer through this.

Unfortunately, it seems that until this person is caught, the unsettling actions are going to continue. In less than 24 hours, a disturbing clip from an older WWE wrestling match was reposted on his page, as well as video of him rapping in the car. The former is also on his Story and it was captioned, “My grandma does VOODOO”. However, the post to people’s feed had this message underneath, “He’s here, going to shock the world when the time is right. Game over?? The game just begun”. That was also axed from Foolio’s page, but that may be the most disturbing message yet. Fans share a similar sentiment with one person adding, “Boi this some spooky a** s*** ”.

Jeremih Breaks His Silence On PARTYNEXTDOOR Drama

PARTYNEXTDOOR sent folks in the R&B world into befuddled panic when he dissed Jeremih, Chris Brown, and Bryson Tiller in some tweet-and-deletes. Moreover, he seemed to take issue with the trio featuring his ex-girlfriend in their music video for “Wait On It,” and it took many fans by surprise. It’s kind of unclear where the situation stands right now because the OVO affiliate walked back on this animosity, but its targets are still reacting and responding to this development. For example, during a recent conversation with DJ Carisma for Rolling Loud, Jeremih responded to PARTY’s attacks and seemed to take the whole thing pretty lightly.

“I ain’t got nothing bad to say about PARTY, you know what I’m saying?” Jeremih began his remarks. “We all have a bad night. Right now, like I said, ‘Wait On It,’ it is what it is, and she is who she is. Tell her I said ‘What up?’ at the end of the day. So… As I did. I couldn’t wait. Yeah, I think he beat us to making somebody cry, the mirror beat us. So he came back at us, to me, at least.

You know, I popped out at his show last week, so I really was lost, you know what I’m saying? Out here, over the weekend, I was super lost. Yeah, that’s why I was like, ‘Huh?’ You know what I’m saying? Like I said, we all have a bad night. I’ll say that, you know. Too much birthday sex can go the wrong way, you know?”

Meanwhile, Chris Brown demanded a public apology from PARTYNEXTDOOR after his since-deleted remarks. Jeremih didn’t take this road necessarily, but it’s clear that everyone involved felt quite blindsided by these tweets. It’s a shame considering how well these artists would likely work together on a track. Alas, we’ll see if the future holds a full reconciliation or if this will cause a big shift in all their relationships.

In case you missed it, Donald Glover made waves at the 2024 BET Awards this weekend when he took the stage to lament his lack of historical success at the awards. He joked, “It doesn’t really make sense: I have more Grammys than Will Smith, which makes no sense, but I have the same amount of BET Awards as Sam Smith. Does that make sense to you guys? Me and Sam Smith are neck-in-neck at the Black Entertainment Television…”

Will Smith, it turns out, is a fan of the bit.

On Instagram yesterday (July 1), Smith shared a video of himself in what looks like a hair and makeup room, watching the aforementioned part of Glover’s speech on a TV. He laughed after he was mentioned, then let out a bigger laugh at the Sam Smith punchline.

Glover was up for Best Actor at this weekend’s show, ultimately coming up short as the honor went to Denzel Washington. Glover was also part of the massive Usher tribute performance, opening the multi-artist medley by singing Usher’s “U Don’t Have To Call.”

Will Smith didn’t have any nominations, but he was on hand to give a performance of a very Kanye West-like new song.

Amber Rose isn’t backing down from her support of former president Donald Trump. Earlier this week, she teamed up with conservative rapper Forgiato Blow to appear in his music video for the track, “Trump Trump Baby,” which flips Vanilla Ice’s classic 1990 hit, “Ice Ice Baby.” The track is loaded with politically charged bars. “Democrat party going to take your freedom/Indictin’ our president ’cause they can’t beat him,” Blow raps at one point. Later, he adds: “The media is the enemy of the people/The Democrats and the fakes news always be cheatin’.”

Blow’s fans were loving the collaboration in the comments section. “Id like to say it’s truly heart warming to see Miss Rose’s transformation,” one top reply on YouTube reads. “You’ve come a long way young lady, welcome to the MAGA family. Now let’s save this country! TRUMP 2024!!!” Another fan wrote: “Trump Trump BABY. WE will unite despite the Dems trying to tear us apart.”

Rose previously discussed her surprising support for the former president during an interview with TMZ, earlier this year. That conversation began with the interviewer questioning why she plans to vote for someone who isn’t passionate about women’s rights. “Is Donald Trump not for women’s rights issues?” Rose asked. “He’s trying to make America great again. That’s for women too right? So, there you go.” She also explained why other celebrities have begun supporting the former president. “I think we just did our research and we’re not brainwashed anymore by the left,” she said. “I can say that about myself. All these years I’ve been brainwashed and I’m not anymore.”

Eminem Reveals The Artwork For Highly Anticipated Single “Tobey”

Eminem will always have fans on the edge of their seats for new music and today is no different. In just a few short hours he will be dropping off the second and possible final single for The Death of Slim Shady, “Tobey”. The track has been generating a lot of buzz ever since it was announced a few days ago. Part of the reason for that is because of the guests coming along for the ride. Two fellows Michiganders, Big Sean and BabyTron, will be lending their talents to the track. Eminem is doing a cool thing with “Tobey”, as all three MCs are essentially repping three different generations of Detroit hip-hop.

Marshall Mathers is playing into that aspect even more on the artwork, which he just revealed on his Instagram moments ago. It recreates the iconic Spider-Man meme where two spiderweb-weaving superheroes are pointing at each other. That iconic Marvel character seems to be the main theme of “Tobey” as the song is a partial homage to actor Tobey Maguire. He portrayed the masked vigilante in the original films in the early 2000s. As most superhero super fans would know, Spider-Man becomes Spider-man after being bit by a radioactive arachnid.

However, for Eminem, Sean, and Tron, they seem to have been nibbled on by a goat. The latter’s lyrics were teased in the trailer toward the end, and he rapped, “Tobey Maguire got bit by a spider, but see, me? It was a goat“. If that is any indication, this looks to be a more of a braggadocious cut. However, we will find out sooner than later, as “Tobey” drops at 12 p.m. EST. Some fans were a little surprised that it did not drop at midnight, but Eminem never revealed the time in the original teaser.

Kanye West Is Now An “Enemy Of Ukraine” After Traveling To Moscow

Kanye West has been declared an “enemy of Ukraine” after traveling to Russia to celebrate the birthday of Yeezy fashion designer Gosha Rubchinsky. The designation comes from the website, Myrotvorets, which tracks people who “have signs of crimes against the national security of Ukraine, peace, human security, and the international law.” It was set up by politician George Tuka.

For Ye’s listing, the site writes: “Propaganda of war. Visit to the capital of the occupiers during the invasion of the sovereign territory of Ukraine. The money spent by Ye in the so-called Moscow by taxes will be spent on the murder of civilians of Ukraine. Hidden support for aggression and murder of civilians of Ukraine.”

Rick Ross And Drake’s Beef Spills Over Onto Instagram After A Comment From Ross’ Ex

While Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar appears to have largely died down, his feud of Rick Ross has been picking up steam. Days ago, Ross got punched by some apparent Drake supporters in Canada, and now the rappers are trading blows on social media.

As HotNewHipHop notes, Drake shared a photo of himself on Instagram yesterday (July 1), sitting outside wearing a sleeveless Toronto Raptors shirt. Tia Kemp, Ross’ ex and the mother of one of his children, commented, “Drakeeeeee,” along with a starry-eyed emoji. Drake responded, “my goat.”

Ross didn’t take this lying down: He tagged Drake in a comment of his own and wrote, “pedo vs. granny.”

Earlier this month, Ross celebrated the fact that he had paid his last child support payment. Kemp didn’t like that, as she responded (as Complex notes), “Listen here, b*tch — every day I’m f*cking hustlin’. I heard you was over there talking about you the best Father’s Day gift you could have got was you sending your last child support pay payment or something. You stupid, silly motherf*cker. Usher Finally Speaks On Controversial BET Awards Tribute

Usher had a massive day at the 2024 BET Awards over the weekend (Sunady, June 30), taking the stage to accept his Lifetime Achievement Award. However, everything surrounding him at the ceremony faced some scrutiny, including audio issues during his speech and the performance tribute to him. Folks thought that the female-led and near-17-minute-long homage from Childish Gambino, Keke Palmer, Summer Walker, Coco Jones, Marsha Ambrosius, Chlöe, Tinashe, Teyana Taylor, Victoria Monét, and Latto could’ve included other male singers, while others thought that it accurately represented the Atlanta-based superstar’s influence and the state of R&B today.

Regardless of any backlash, Usher sent some very appreciative social media messages to his fans, to BET, and to his tribute’s performers, so it looks like he’s just grateful for the ride. “Reflecting on the incredible evening and mannn let me just say how grateful I am to @bet @betawards for the lifetime achievement award [prayer hands emoji],” he posted to his Instagram Story recently. “But I want to take a moment and give a very, very special thank U to these tremendously talented entertainers that graced the stage during my tribute. y’all did the DAMN thing!!! It was so amazing to witness each of your talents through the eyes of my own journey… thank U [heart emoji].”

“My tribute was amazing mannn…” Usher also added via Twitter about the BET Awards performance. “thank U to each and every one involved in the making of this moment [prayer hands emoji].” Meanwhile, here’s what BET had to say to him as an apology for his speech’s audio issues. “Celebrating global icon Usher on our stage with a star-studded tribute and having him accept his award with a heartfelt speech was an honor,” a spokesperson relayed. “Due to an audio malfunction during the live telecast, portions of his speech were inadvertently muted. We extend our sincere apologies to Usher as we couldn’t be more grateful for his participation in culture’s biggest night. Fans can catch his full uninterrupted speech across BET platforms and tonight’s encore on BET.”

“We’ve got to be willing to forgive,” Usher said during the acceptance speech. “We’ve got to be willing to be open. I’m telling you, you’re standing before a man who had to forgive a man who never showed up, ever. And look what I made with it. Look what I was able to ‘usher’ in. But that’s what’s real.
