NBA YoungBoy Warns People To Quit Trying To “Hurt” Him: Watch

NBA YoungBoy likely sees himself as a lone wolf in the hip-hop industry and the music world at large. That’s not only due to his personality, legal troubles, and life experiences leading up to– and continuing throughout– his career, but also because of the wave of hate he often gets. Sometimes, that’s from established media personalities like Joe Budden, who recently trashed YB’s output and skill level as a whole. But his most recent rant on his Instagram Story doesn’t seem aimed at him at all, but rather a more vague and general set of opps. If you’re a fan, you know how common these threats can be.

“People trying to hurt me,” YoungBoy’s IG Story began with a lot of aggressive energy. “N***as and b***hes, bruh. If you ain’t my wife, you do not dictate my moves. She the only one that could tell me, ‘Bust your a** or let you slide!’ Man, aye, and she the only one that can put me in jail for life. She the only person that I tell everything I do to.” While his praise for his wife seems somewhat wholesome, other statements from him paint a darker picture.

YoungBoy’s Latest Instagram Rant: Watch

Regardless, given the Baton Rouge MC’s deteriorating mental health under house arrest, these attacks are never nice or gratifying to see. Hopefully he can get himself back on track and in a positive space for a more consistent period of time, because he says his hardships are getting to him. Even though NBA YoungBoy’s career remains prolific and satisfying in the eyes of his fans, this is something that they need to prioritize. As he works on his personal struggles and animosities, this also reveals the best and worst parts of isolation that he must balance.

Meanwhile, Joe Budden responded to all the ruckus that his dislike of the 24-year-old caused with little course correction. Of course, his own response to Budden was even more merciless, so we can’t imagine these two will come to amicable terms anytime soon. But if they leave each other alone, then the I Rest My Case artist can find more peace and focus on improving what he wants to work on. For more news and the latest updates on YoungBoy, stay up to date on HNHH.

Lil Nas X Flame-Broiled A Troll Who Took Issue With His ‘Christian Era’ Afer Making A ‘Satanic Album’

Lil Nas X is one of modern pop music’s greatest trolls, but what he won’t do is stand for miscategorization of his antics by commenters who won’t even seriously engage with his art. He’s proven himself to be the young king of clapbacks and he defended that title today after having his music once again characterized as satanic, despite it actually being about his journey of self-realization.

“The fact that lil nas x had that satanic album is the problem I have with him making Christian music,” wrote a fan account, likely in response to Nas recently posting a snippet of what appeared to be a gospel song. Nas shot back, “The devil is mentioned ONE time throughout my entire last album and the line is ‘tell the the devil i wont have him inside, i know everything’s gonna be alright.’ Y’all have spent this entire last week rewriting history over me releasing a snippet.”

And while Nas is 100 percent correct about the content of his debut album Montero, the confusion could be understandable considering the packaging that came with it. The title track — which doubled as the lead single — was infamous for its video featuring Nas’ devilish makeup and its plotline following Nas going from a paradise-like realm to an Alighieri-inspired hellscape where he gave a demon a lapdance.

The controversy caused by the video led to the song reaching No. 1 on the Hot 100 and a wave of reactionary coverage from conservative outlets. It looks like even going the opposite way isn’t stopping folks from still taking issue with Nas, though. It looks like dumping on the kid was the point all along, but at least he’s not alone — fellow pop-rap provocateur Doja Cat has also been battling her fair share of satanic accusations from people who apparently think Avengers is a documentary.

Metro Boomin Says His Next Project Shares Similarities To Kanye West’s “MBDTF”

Metro Boomin is at the pinnacle of his career right now. After dropping to commercially successful records, the producer from St. Louis is pretty much untouchable. HEROES & VILLAINS and the soundtrack for Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse both have some of his best tracks on them. While each project is truly special, the hitmaker is nowhere near satisfied. Over the past few months or so, Metro has been ruthlessly teasing two projects with some of the most in-demand talents in the game.

Long-time collaborator, Future, and the “new guy,” JID both are going to have projects with him. There are no confirmations on titles, tracklists, or release dates, but they are hopefully coming soon. Future’s seems to be the focus right now for Metro as he has been hyping it up constantly. Beats have been lost, but nothing is preventing the duo from delivering more classics together. It will be interesting to see where they do with the material, but we might have some indication of how it might sound.

Metro Boomin Might Have His Best Album On His Hands

According to HipHopDX, a recent Twitter user tweeted at Metro, asking him to make an album similar to Kanye West’s highly-regarded 2010 album. That would be My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and it seems we could be receiving something similar to that. He replied, “yeah my first album after the heroes trilogy is more of that vibe.. the title is [fire emojis] too.” We are not for certain if he means the Future, JID, or some other tape, but that has us very excited.

What are your initial thoughts on these latest comments from Metro Boomin about his upcoming project saying it has similar traits as Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy? Do you think whatever tape he is referring to will now be his best album after that statement? Where does he rank for you amongst all of the best producers in hip-hop history? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Cardi B reflected on outgrowing relationships during a pair of posts on her Instagram Story, on Monday. While she didn’t specify who she was talking about, fans are worried about her marriage to Offset.

“You know when you just out grow relationships,” Cardi began. “I’m tired of protecting peoples feelings. I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.” When No Jumper shared screenshots of the posts on Instagram, one fan commented: “Women’s excuse to either cheat or break up w a n***a n throw away the family for absolutely no reason. Smh..” Another wrote: “Man wtf did offset do, he said he’ll never leave the phone at home, he must of forgot it this time.” Others argued that Cardi could be talking about anyone, not necessarily Offset. “Who said she was talking about offset? Yall please calm down,” one commented.

Nicki Minaj & Cardi B Didn’t Make The Cut For GloRilla’s “F.N.F.” Remix, Producer Says

GloRilla’s “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” was one of 2022’s biggest hits, and she’s continued that hot streak of singles and bangers. As such, it’s unsurprising to hear that a lot of people wanted to hop on the remix, whether it’s up-and-comers or established MCs. However, based on a series of tweets from the song’s producer Hitkidd on Sunday (December 3), it seems like they actually turned down some massive names for it. Moreover, he named Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Megan Thee Stallion as some names who didn’t make the cut. Eventually, Latto and JT of the City Girls graced it with finesse, but we can’t help but think about what could’ve been.

“Nicki Minaj called me to get on the FNF remix,” Hitkidd recalled concerning GloRilla’s breakout hit. “But I still went who I already had on it because I gave them my word. No cap, Cardi wanted to get on the FNF remix and I hit Meg up to get on there with her. I was tryna change the game and put the hottest women artists on one song!

Hitkidd Reveals The Possibilities Behind The “F.N.F.” Remix

“I fw Nicki’s artistry but I made a moral decision,” GloRilla’s collaborator continued. “Like I said I was trying to get everybody one song and change the game. I’ll have to get [the other remix] cleared , we have the video with Saweetie though. She showed us a lot of love which is why I still want to drop it. Hopefully we can drop it for the fans!” Furthermore, it seems like Hitkidd suggested that they’re still not done with “F.N.F.,” at least for the sake of hardcore fans. Could we get another wave of hype with it in 2024?

GloRilla’s Producer Continues To Dish Out Tea

Regardless of that outcome, Big Glo is also making sure to stay tapped into the new players that emerged since this song’s rise to dominance. For example, she and Sexyy Red recently performed together, and hopefully that’s not the last we get of the duo. Do you think that all these femcees will eventually hop on a track together? Kodak Black’s Experimental Visuals For “2’CY” Draws More Questions Than Compliments

Kodak Black is one of the most interesting characters in rap today. Not only for his oddball personality but also for some of the material he puts out. The Florida native has been active yet again this year with two full-length projects to his name. Firstly, he put out Pistolz & Pearlz back on May 26. That album ran over an hour and six minutes with a 21-song tracklist. It was his last project under the umbrella of Atlantic Records. It would only take him another five and a half months before his presumedly last tape of 2023.

Three singles would promote Kodak’s more personal record When I Was Dead. One of those was a song called “2’CY.” It was a melodic cut that featured the rapper’s warbly flow. The production had a hint of Jersey club inspiration and can be seen as more of a softer cut. This is a reason why the reactions to these visuals for the single are putting the creative inspiration of Black in question.

Watch Kodak Black’s Haunting Music Video For “2’CY”

The video features a young boy who stumbles across a haunted house, with a little girl feasting on a dead body and Kodak’s head rapping in a fridge. The vibes clashed oddly and fans were not feeling it. XXL gathered some reactions to the imagery, with one saying, “This respectfully is the [worst] song yak ever made.” Another goes, “Why everybody making headless videos?? What’s the message n****?” Kodak has not responded to the reactions and he most likely will not. This may take the cake for the weirdest music video of the year.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new music video for “2’CY” by Kodak Black from When I Was Dead? Is this the best track from this album, why or why not? Do you think Kodak missed the mark on the visuals, especially considering the tone of the song? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Kodak Black. How To Buy Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Black Olive’ Sneakers

travis scott

Travis Scott’s got some new sneakers on the way. He has once again teamed up with Jordan Brand/Nike to release another pair of olive-infused Air Jordan 1s, this time with a black base. Photos of the samples surfaced online, sparking excitement from hypebeasts who can’t get enough of Scott’s Nike collabs (another of which is coming later this month in the form of the Mac Attack worn by the tennis legend John McEnroe). So, how can you get some Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 low “Black Olives?”

Unfortunately, details about the release are limited at this time. While the Instagram accounts and blogs posting about the sneakers note that they are ostensibly due sometime in Fall of 2024, previous releases were dropped at select retailers and on Nike’s SNKRS app (which caused no shortage of hurt feelings over the Ls that were taken for those prior releases). Of course, there’s also the the old standby, StockX, and similar resale sites, where you can try your luck (and pay a markup). We’ll likely find out more closer to the release date, which will probably be sometime in 2024, as the next upcoming release is for the Mac Attacks. Stay tuned for more info.

The No. 1 Single In The Country Right Now Is A Christmas Song From 1958

Brenda Lee 2023
Getty Image

Every Monday, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated December 9, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. Andy Williams — “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”

A couple Christmas songs made it onto last week’s Hot 100, but now that Thanksgiving is behind us, they’re out in force. Six of this week’s top 10 songs are vintage holiday tunes, including this Andy Williams classic from 1963.

9. SZA — “Snooze”

After peaking at No. 2 previously, “Snooze” is just barely hanging around the top 10, but it’s still No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart for an 18th week.

8. Doja Cat — “Paint The Town Red”

While Doja’s hit fell down from No. 3 last week, it’s No. 1 on the latest Radio Songs chart for the first time this week.

7. Taylor Swift — “Cruel Summer”

We’re heading into winter and a summer song is still sticking around, although it’s down significantly from last week’s rank at No. 2.

6. Burl Ives — “A Holly Jolly Christmas”

The ’50s and ’60s appear to be the golden age for Christmas music, as this 1964 Burl Ives tune is routinely an end-of-year favorite and rose from No. 16 to enter the top 10 this week.

5. Wham! — “Last Christmas”

Some newer (not “new,” but “newer”) holiday tunes have some gas this week, too, as Wham’s 1984 classic “Last Christmas” is in the middle of the pack of this week’s top 10.

4. Bobby Helms — “Jingle Bell Rock”

Presenting the oldest song in this week’s top 10: Helms’ recording of “Jingle Bell Rock” was originally released all the way back in 1957.

3. Jack Harlow — “Lovin On Me”

“Lovin On Me” became Harlow’s third No. 1 single last week, but it couldn’t hold off two titanic holiday tracks as it slides down to No. 3.

2. Mariah Carey — “All I Want For Christmas Is You”

Carey’s iconic Christmas tune is usually the one leading the post-Thanksgiving charge, but there’s a new sheriff in town this week.

1. Brenda Lee — “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”

When Brenda Lee released “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” in November 1958, she probably never imagined that it would be the No. 1 song in the country a whopping 65 years later. Now, though, a song that’s nearly as old as the Hot 100 chart itself (the chart launched in August 1958) has gone No. 1 here in 2023.

The song was previously a regular “All I Want For Christmas Is You” sidekick in the holiday music resurgence: It spent nine weeks at No. 2 on the Hot 100 between December 2019 and the 2022-2023 holiday season. In fact, now that the track has risen to No. 1, it has tied the record for most weeks at No. 2 before ascending to No. 1, a record it shares with Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.” (Also like Eilish, Lee started her music career as a child star: She recorded “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” when she was only 13 years old.)

“Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” is now just the third holiday song to ever go No. 1, after Carey’s hit and “The Chipmunk Song” by The Chipmunks with David Seville. The song is also Lee’s third career chart-topper, following “I’m Sorry” and “I Want To Be Wanted,” both in 1960. Furthermore, at 78 years old, Lee is now the senior-most artist with a No. 1 single of all time, beating the record previously held by Louis Armstrong, who was 62 when “Hello, Dolly!” topped the chart in 1964.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
