NLE Choppa Shoots Music Video At The Zoo

NLE Choppa recently had what looked like an enjoyable trip to the zoo. While he was there, he even took the opportunity to shoot a quick music video. He did so with the assistance of a popular videographer, Will Freeark. The videographer, who is also known as SetWillFree, approached NLE Choppa on Saturday. He offered to shoot a music video for the Memphis rapper free of charge. Freeark has gained viral fame for his spontaneous-style video shoots. He has even previously worked with artists like Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, and Bobby Shmurda.

Although NLE Choppa initially seemed hesitant, he eventually agreed to the video. With that, the duo embarked the shoot a video for “Stomp Em Out” on the streets of New York City. It looks like it was an extremely fun shoot. The project involved interactions with locals and a carriage ride. In one scene, the rapper holds someone’s baby and dances with it while he smiles at the camera. It all culminated in a scene shot at the Central Park Zoo, where NLE Choppa dances around and raps in front of seals. The amusing video was later uploaded to Freeark’s official YouTube channel.

NLE Choppa’s Venture Into Sports

Filming spontaneous videos is not the only new thing on NLE Choppa’s plate. it appears that he has joined the ranks of celebrities stepping into the boxing ring. He was spotted in the gym throwing punches at professional boxer Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson. However, after three unsuccessful attempts, Choppa lost his balance. As such, he started running as Truck chased him around the ring. While Choppa has proven his skills in the studio, he has a long way to go in the boxing ring. The video of the boxing incident went viral. This prompted NLE Choppa to share it on his Instagram story and tag Simpson with a humorous caption. Simpson, in turn, shared Choppa’s story on his own profile.

It remains uncertain how far Choppa intends to pursue his boxing aspirations. Still, he clearly has much room for improvement. Unfortunately, luck hasn’t been on Choppa’s side in other sports either. Just two days after opening a basketball court in his hometown, the court burned down. It had been donated by Choppa, former WNBA player Nancy Lieberman, and members of the Memphis city council, as reported by local outlet WREG. What do you think of NLE Choppa’s new video? Key Glock Drops Buttery Smooth New Single “Presidential Rolex”

Memphis rapper Key Glock is proving to be as prolific as ever in 2023. Today, he treated fans for a new single and accompanying music video. The track, titled “Presidential Rolex” if packed full of slick flows over a bright piano-driven Tay Keith beat. Earlier this year in February, Key Glock dropped his third studio album Glockoma 2. The 15-track album had no featured with Glock putting out one banger after another. Now, the record is getting a deluxe edition and that release got a single of its own in “Presidential Rolex.”

That album followed an equally prolific few years proceeding it. Since 2021 Key Glock has dropped his Yellow Tape 2 album, his Dum And Dummer 2 collaborative album with Young Dolph, and his PRE5L EP. He also had a song with Kordhell on the soundtrack for the recently released Fast X soundtrack. He also appeared on Young Nudy’s album Gumbo earlier this year. His most notable appearance recently came on Megan Thee Stallion’s Traumazine last year where he featured on the song “Ungrateful.”

Key Glock’s New Heat

Key Glock’s music isn’t the only thing getting him attention in recent weeks. He poked fun at Doe Boy after a crossover move Glock pulled on him left Doe Boy with a sprained ankle. During a basketball game on an episode of The Crew League Glock left Doe Boy reaching for his ankle and went back to rub it in on twitter afterwards. He also made headlines in a very different way last month. A video of scientist and TV presenter Bill Nye dancing to Key Glock’s music went viral during a fashion show.

Key Glock was one of the artists most personally affected by the murder of Young Dolph in 2021. The pair released numerous collaborative projects together and Young Dolph frequently referred to Glock as his protégé. Earlier this year Glock reflected on his time making music alongside Dolph. What do you think of the new Key Glock track? Let us know in the comment section below.

Jorja Smith Trends On Twitter As Fans Shut Down Body-Shaming Comments

26-year-old Jorja Smith is best known for two things – her naturally alluring beauty, and her show-stopping voice. She’s still relatively new to the music industry compared to other R&B darlings, but it was back in 2016 when her Project 11 EP made a serious mark on the industry. Since then, she’s made magic on Lost & Found in 2018, as well as 2021’s Be Right Back. The latter consists of just eight titles, but thankfully Smith has held us over with a string of singles since then.

The most recent to come from the “Let Me Down” songstress is the Nia Archives remix of “Little Things,” which she shared a visual for this past New Music Friday. So far, Smith’s loyal fanbase has been loving the fun track, but that unfortunately hasn’t stopped critics from making comments about her body. The new clip shows that Jorja has put on some weight in recent months, but she wears it well, carrying herself with complete confidence in a white crop top.

Jorja Smith Shares “Little Things (Remix)” Video with Nia Archives

On Monday (June 19), the Walsall native began trending on Twitter as reactions to the “Little Things (Remix)” came pouring in. Thankfully for Smith, the amount of love and praise we’re seeing far outweighs those trying to make her feel ashamed about her changing figure. “Jorja Smith did not ask anyone to make her their sex symbol, and now they’re insulting her because she gained some weight?” one user pointed out. “And they think they’re normal?” they later asked.

“Jorja Smith just released her best song to date but the internet is busy insulting her, what a shame,” someone else wrote, encouraging readers to stream the catchy track. Of course, there have been plenty of thirsty responses too, making it obvious that the recording artist is still an object of desire, no matter what size she is.

Bandman Kevo Replaces Gunna With A Rat In New Music Video

Bandman Kevo recently dropped a new music video for his song “Alone.” He had previously teased the release of the new video, with a screenshot featuring Gunna covered by the superimposed rat. Now, he’s shared the full music video with fans. It appears as though Gunna being replaced by a rat has taken center stage.

Bandman Kevo is far from the only person to label Gunna a “rat” as of late. Amid accusations that he “snitched” on Young Thug during the YSL RICO trial, several of his peers have publicly cut ties with him. Boosie Badazz, Lil Durk, Lil Gotit, and more have all called the rapper a “rat.” Gunna, however, just unveiled his new album, a Blessing & a Curse. The LP has been fairly well-received by most considering the ongoing drama surrounding him.

Bandman Kevo Disses Gunna In “Alone” Video

Bandman Kevo had previously Tweeted about Gunna, revealing that he wanted his money back for the feature he paid for. “I paid gunna last year for a feature 250k,” he wrote. “And months later he got a caught case which put my feature and everything else got put on hold , just for him to get released and snitch.” He added, “I can’t do a song with dude I need my bread back asap and if they cap im going big lawsuit.”

In April, he spoke to Say Cheese! about the Twitter rant. “Really, I want more money for all the time I wasted over a year,” the artist explained. He went on to say, “I feel like I deserve some real M’s because who knows what the song could have been at before you [Gunna] messed your name up.” Bandman Kevo revealed that he’d like to receive $5 million from Gunna, saying, “Realistically, before he got locked up I would have dropped the song and he would have posted and it would have did what it did. I was gon’ make the song go big.”

Tyga And YG Call Their Shot On “Platinum”

Frequent collaborators Tyga and YG are back with a brand new song; this time, they’ve got their sights set on a hit. The two California MCs have made plenty of songs together in the past. Just last week the pair teamed up with Blxst for a new single “West Coast Weekend.” This week they’re back with another new song “Platinum.” While there’s still no more news about their reported collaborative album they seem to be inching closer.

On “Platinum” Tyga and YG drift away from the wavy vibes of their new single last week into something much more hard-hitting. The sunny, west-coast, hard-hitting gangster raps are nothing unfamiliar to either artist. They both do their thing on the track and still have as much chemistry as ever. The music video for the song is about what you’d expect. It features bold cars, beautiful women, big chains, and signals of California in every direction.

Tyga And YG Go “Platinum”

For Tyga, it’s been a bit of a slow start to 2023 so far. He released his own single “Day One” back in May. His only other appearance came on the OHGEESY song “Chrome Hearted” where he lends a guest feature. More music could be coming down the pipe for Tyga soon though. A recent report pointed out that he’s been in the studio a lot with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker recently working on music.

For YG it’s been even more scant. The two collaborative singles he’s dropped with Tyga have been his only new music this year so far. He did still make some noise when he attended Tupac’s long-awaited Hollywood Walk Of Fame star ceremony. After the event, his car was allegedly stopped by police and searched. His last full-length album I GOT ISSUES was released back in November of last year. What do you think of YG and Tyga’s new single? Let us know in the comment section below.

Quotable Lyrics:
You know how many b*tches thugged out off the liquor?
Straight tequila shots, so it’s f*ckin’ up my liver
Shoutout 800, that’s my motherf*ckin’ hitter
That’s my killer, that’s my dawg, that’s my motherf*ckin’ n*gga

Doja Cat Is Naked, Covered In Blood In “Attention” Video

Doja has finally fed her fans with some new music. Fans who anticipated Doja Cat’s musical direction based on her feature on SZA’s “Kill Bill” remix were not mistaken. The new single, however, is not a drastic departure from her previous work. This comes despite Doja Cat herself teasing its distinctiveness. While one might have expected something completely unexpected, the single still encapsulates the essence of Doja Cat’s style. However, it expands upon it in the best way.

Aptly titled “Attention,” the sleek and seductive track delves into the theme of being in the spotlight. Doja Cat addresses the challenges she has faced and emphasizes that people are more interested in her personal life than her music. Anyone who follows her knows that it is a sentiment she has expressed in her online rants. Perhaps this frustration inspired her new creative direction. Doja Cat’s flow is exceptional as she effortlessly navigates the sampled drums and dreamy harps. With lines like “I am not afraid to finally say sh*t with my chest,” she fearlessly expresses her thoughts. The video for the single just might be Doja’s best yet.

Doja Stands Out In A Crowd

Doja Cat brings a mix of old Hollywood, 90s rap, and current pop in the new video for “Attention.” The video opens with Doja driving past a crowd of people who are screaming for her while flashbulbs go off. Eventually, she is shown walking down the sidewalks of Downtown LA, which we saw her filming a few weeks ago. People pass her as she raps to camera, and their faces eventually turn into terrifying nondescript molds, devoid of real features.

One of the most striking images in the video comes during the line where Doja says, “Look at me, look at me, I’m naked.” Sure enough, there she is, almost fully nude but covered head to toe in blood. One thing is for certain, she is leaning into all of the rumors about sacrifices and Illuminati dealings. Doja has never shied away from it, but she has used it to her full advantage in the video. This is all while she is ripping her haters to shreds with her lyrics. Stylistically, it may not be as big of a jump as some wanted from Doja, but it wouldn’t be far off to say this is her best work yet.

NLE Choppa Posts Throwback Pic With Rick Ross

NLE Choppa released his Cottonwood 2 mixtape back in April. The project featured guests like Lil Wayne, Fivio Foreign, Kevin Gates, Polo G, and more. Now the closing track “Cold Game” which featured Rick Ross has gotten its own music video. Choppa also had the perfect way to announce the release of the video on Instagram. He had some “now vs. then” pictures ready to go. In the post, he contrasts a picture of the pair taken years ago when Choppa was just a kid and contrasts it with a recent image of the two to great results.

Fans rushed to the comments to shout out Choppa, the song, and the accompanying video. The caption of the post reads “How It Started Vs How It’s Going ‘COLD GAME’ VIDEO OUT NOW.” The video itself hasn’t even been out for a full day yet and already has over 100k views. “Cold Game” is the second song from the record to get a new video since it dropped. Just a few weeks ago Choppa dropped the video for “Champions” which has since been watched over 2 million times.

NLE Choppa and Rick Ross’ Throwback

Last week a basketball court that NLE Choppa donated to his Memphis community was reportedly damaged by a fire. Just two weeks after the space was opened it sustained significant damage in a fire. The Memphis Fire Department believes that the fire was caused accidentally by mishandled fireworks.

In other news, NLE Choppa and Latto are expected to play guest roles in the final season of Grown-ish. They join a star-studded roster of guests that includes Lil Yachty, Anderson. Paak, and Kelly Rowland. Earlier this year NLE Choppa joined a wide-ranging cast of collaborators for the song “Angel Pt.1” from the Fast X soundtrack. The song is a collaboration between Choppa, Kodak Black, BTS member Jimin, pop singer JVKE, and Muni Long. What do you think of NLE Choppa’s throwback pictures with Rick Ross and their new music video? Let us know in the comment section below.

2 Chainz’s Hilarious Reaction To Price Of LL Cool J’s Boxing Glove From Iconic Video

2 Chainz is often featured in series that take a look at some of the most expensive products in X, Y, Z category, a nice way for him to flex his taste and bands. Most recently, he took a look at some of hip-hop’s most high-priced memorabilia on the latest episode of GQ’s “Most Expensivest” series. One of them is the iconic glove (or one of them, at least) worn by LL Cool J in his iconic music video for “Mama Said Knock You Out.” It even came with a certification on it that demonstrated it had been authenticated as the legitimate glove from the visual. “That looks like the sticker to me, man” the College Grove rapper hilariously said to the presenter.

Furthermore, 2 Chainz scratched his head at the potential asking price for the glove: $75,000 to $95,000. Overall, the tone of the video is quite comical, even though the iconic nature of glove in question is priceless. Still, it’s far from the first time that the 45-year-old MC has reacted strikingly to a particular artefact’s price. For example, he heard about veganic weed that cost about $1,000 an ounce and had a simple answer: “Hell no!

However, the “2 Step” artist definitely has the bucks to choose whether to indulge in these luxuries or not. One of his most recent checks came from his appearance on Metro Boomin’s excellent soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. Specifically, he appears on the track “Givin’ Up (Not The One)” alongside Don Toliver and 21 Savage. It was one of many notable collaborations across the tracklist, and both the film and the soundtrack’s success could not compare to the artistic acclaim garnered. That said, it certainly deepens the Drenchgod’s pockets.

Meanwhile, he and his son Halo have gotten a lot of love for their dynamic duo relationship on their podcast. They often provide some hilarious debates and takes, like Halo’s take on his dad’s fame. “My dad,” he answered a question form Issa Rae about who his dad is to him. “Just a rich a guy in the house. The richest guy in the house. Almost,” as he said he has more money than him. Maybe Halo will want to buy LL Cool J’s glove, then. Flau’jae Johnson Calls Out Latto For “Put It On Da Floor Again” Snub

“Put It On Da Floor Again”, the remix collab between Latto and Cardi Bi, is one of the hottest tracks of the past month. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #13. It’s Latto’s highest-charting single since “Big Energy” in 2021, which peaked at #3. It’s Latto’s second charting release of the year. “Lottery ft. Lu Kala” peaked at #86.

The track was also accompanied by a music video, featuring the two big-name rappers. Also cameoing in the video was Angel Reese, the superstar of LSU’s women’s basketball team. Cardi also name-checked LSU in her verse, leading to the program offering her an invite to campus. However, not everyone is happy with the video.

Flau’jae Johnson Asks Why She Wasn’t In The “Put It On Da Floor Again” Video

Speaking on The Baller Alert Show, Johnson was asked about why she wasn’t in the video for “Put It On Da Floor Again”. “Latto she hit me about it, the day before,” Johnson explained. “She was like ‘I want you to be in the video.’ I was like, ‘I’m in LA right now. But yeah we can make it happen.’ But we didn’t make it happen. “Her people never hit my people. I seen she had asked Angel like a week before. And I was like, ‘okay, maybe she ain’t really want me in the video for real. But she had to ask, ’cause we kind of had a relationship before and she put Angel in it. I didn’t really care because Angel was in it and that was a big moment for women’s basketball, and at the same time, why wouldn’t you put me in it?”

She continued. “It just makes sense. I did the remix, it went viral!.” Johnson did indeed remix the song. Her freestyle remix garnered a fair amount of controversy after right-wing media outlets expressed outrage that Johnson referenced 9/11 during her verse. Johnson subsequently apologized for that incident. However, Johnson doesn’t appear too upset, just a little sad that she didn’t get the chance to cameo. Maybe she can get that J.Cole collab she has previously called “her dream” instead. Follow all the latest sports and music news here at HotNewHipHop.

Jack Harlow’s “Gang Gang Gang” Disappears In New Music Video

One of the standout moments on Jack Harlow’s latest album Jackman is the track “Gang Gang Gang,” which just received a somber music video. In it, the Louisville MC addresses the situation that arises when longtime friends are found guilty or accused of horrible crimes, with the lyrics specifically focusing on sexual assault and child molestation. While many have debated whether his approach and analysis truly delves deep into that topic and does it justice, it’s still an emotive and important moment of conversation and reflection on the project. In its visual accompaniment, the cinematography and sequencing paints the narrative in a more vivid way.

The first two verses’ visuals are bookended with black-and-white clips of Jack Harlow and his friends hanging out together for the chorus. “Ride for my dawgs, lie for my dawgs, die for my dawgs,” he melodically raps. The video’s sections for the verses themselves depict the situations they narrate: Jack speaking to someone who tells him of their longtime friend’s crimes. It switches between the artist’s disbelief, speaking his raps word-for-word as in conversation, and flashback clips to their younger days.

Jack Harlow’s “Gang Gang Gang” Music Video

Overall, the Eliel Ford-directed visual contains some striking imagery. One particular shot that stands out is a car moving into an empty moonlit parking lot and stopping as Jack Harlow raps about his friend Marcus’ assault allegations. It’s dark and ominous, as is the one of Jack riding in a car with two friends who disappear in the next shot. You may have your thoughts on the track itself, but the video’s message points more firmly towards denouncing these actions rather than defending them. Many frames towards the end dedicate themselves to depicting those affected by these crimes and not the friendships left behind.

Regardless of your take on “Gang Gang Gang,” the 25-year-old is very grateful for the support and love fans gave him for Jackman. His talents, perspective, and personal sense of self will likely continue to hone themselves and grow from here, as he showed on every subsequent project so far. Furthermore, we should be expecting more great things to come from him in the future, and more potent reflections on these topics. For the latest news and updates on Jack Harlow, stick around on HNHH.
