According to TMZ, The Carters hit all the Big Apple hot spots, including Times Square and the Saks 5th Avenue holiday window display. The trip included scones and sweet and savory treats. Britney Spears recently linked up with J Balvin and Maluma while in New York City, enjoying a few drinks with the Columbian performers. The night out comes just ahead of the release of Spears’ new memoir, The Woman in Me. Reportedly, the pop icon had dinner with the duo at Zero Bond, posing for selfies and feasting on sushi. “Quick trip to NY… I had no idea who these boys were at this restaurant,” she sarcastically captioned a fun selfie of the three of them today.
The outing took some fans by surprise, as the trio hadn’t ever been linked together in the past. It even reportedly includes some insight on her past relationship with Justin Timberlake, which sources think could rub him the wrong way. “Justin’s not going to be happy,” insiders told US Weekly, noting that she “goes after him hard” in the book. They claim that Spears isn’t looking for trouble, however, instead simply sharing her side of the story. “It’s not Britney’s intention to skewer anyone,” they explain. “She’s just going to relay the facts from her perspective.”

Today, Diddy was awarded the key to New York City, which was given to him by the mayor himself. COVID-19 is roaring back into the lives of New York City residents. According to NY Daily News, a summer surge of COVID is impacting NYC.
Data from across the city and state show a rise in COVID-19, signaling the latest run of the pandemic. Reasons for the surge have been connected to immunity to variants wearing away and more air-conditioned indoor events. The hospitalization rate per 100,000 residents is up to 10.22. The pre-surge figure was 4.41 hospitalizations.
“The main point is that we need to keep paying attention to COVID,” Dr. Jessica Justman, an infectious disease specialist and epidemiologist at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, said.
On Wednesday, the State Department of Health encouraged NYC residents to take precautions and to test if they feel sick.
NLE Choppa recently had what looked like an enjoyable trip to the zoo. While he was there, he even took the opportunity to shoot a quick music video. He did so with the assistance of a popular videographer, Will Freeark. The videographer, who is also known as SetWillFree, approached NLE Choppa on Saturday. He offered to shoot a music video for the Memphis rapper free of charge. Freeark has gained viral fame for his spontaneous-style video shoots. He has even previously worked with artists like Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, and Bobby Shmurda.
Although NLE Choppa initially seemed hesitant, he eventually agreed to the video. With that, the duo embarked the shoot a video for “Stomp Em Out” on the streets of New York City. It looks like it was an extremely fun shoot. The project involved interactions with locals and a carriage ride. In one scene, the rapper holds someone’s baby and dances with it while he smiles at the camera. It all culminated in a scene shot at the Central Park Zoo, where NLE Choppa dances around and raps in front of seals. The amusing video was later uploaded to Freeark’s official YouTube channel.

Filming spontaneous videos is not the only new thing on NLE Choppa’s plate. it appears that he has joined the ranks of celebrities stepping into the boxing ring. He was spotted in the gym throwing punches at professional boxer Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson. However, after three unsuccessful attempts, Choppa lost his balance. As such, he started running as Truck chased him around the ring. While Choppa has proven his skills in the studio, he has a long way to go in the boxing ring. The video of the boxing incident went viral. This prompted NLE Choppa to share it on his Instagram story and tag Simpson with a humorous caption. Simpson, in turn, shared Choppa’s story on his own profile.
It remains uncertain how far Choppa intends to pursue his boxing aspirations. Still, he clearly has much room for improvement. Unfortunately, luck hasn’t been on Choppa’s side in other sports either. Just two days after opening a basketball court in his hometown, the court burned down. Lil Tjay recently took to Instagram Live while being detained and eventually arrested by the police in New York City. On the afternoon of June 6, Lil Tjay went live on Instagram. However, it was not the typical live video. Instead of engaging with fans on the platform, the Bronx rapper provided them with a firsthand view of a traffic stop. Then, they got a front row seat to his subsequent handcuffing and removal by law enforcement.
In the Instagram Live video, Lil Tjay can be seen defiantly interacting with the police officers. Standing next to his car, he tells the officers not to touch him. He also questions the reason for his arrest. Despite an officer’s instruction to turn around, the rapper refuses. Lil Tjay states that he doesn’t know what’s in the car and denies the presence of a firearm. Eventually, multiple officers restrained and handcuffed him after a brief struggle.
Last summer in New Jersey, Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting incident. There, the rapper was reportedly shot multiple times during an attempted robbery. Following that, he has had several encounters with law enforcement. In January, he was arrested for alleged gun possession. This happened while he was on his way to a music video shoot. Two weeks later, he was arrested again for missing a court hearing. In May, he faced another arrest related to previous gun charges. Those charges stemmed from the shooting incident in 2022.
This new run-in occurred shortly after the rapper almost got involved in a backstage altercation at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on June 4. Videos from the incident captured the rapper being restrained by his security team as he demanded to be released to confront someone off-camera. Shortly after the June 6 incident, Lil Tjay’s lawyer confirmed that he was, in fact arrested. “Lil Tjay was arrested by the police in New York City while he was on Instagram Live. He was filming a snippet for a music video. My client was not arrested for firing a loaded firearm or possessing a loaded firearm.
