Millyz & Meek Mill Are “Soul Survivors” On Their First Collaboration

Cambridge, Massachusetts rapper Millyz is here to deliver a new single with Meek Mill called “Soul Survivor.” The seven-year veteran continues to prove he has the technical abilities that deserve similar respect to those with more popularity. On this fresh cut, Millyz is talking about making it through tough situations and being able to protect himself during the process. He also asks for forgiveness from the man upstairs for the mistakes he has made in his past as well.

Overall, it is an inspirational and personal cut from Millyz and it deserves its praise. Meek Mill is also on this cut and it is the first time he has worked with him. Their styles match up pretty well, especially considering some of the tracks that Meek puts out. His portion is kind of short and it feels like he was on “Soul Survivor” to bring some chatter and not much else.

Meek Mill Calls Out Engineer For Wishing He’d Worked With JAY-Z Instead

Meek Mill can’t seem to stay out of beef for very long. The Philadelphia rapper has picked fights with tons of major artists, and now we can add engineers to the list. To his credit, most rappers would be frustrated by the comments Anthony Cruz made. Cruz, who engineered the 2018 Mill comeback, Championships, voiced regret about working on the album during a recent interview with TmrO Network. He stated, quite clearly, that he should have taken an offer to work on a different project.

Cruz told the outlet that he was approached by Young Guru prior to working on Championships. Guru offered him a chance to engineer Everything Is Love, the JAY-Z and Beyoncé collab album that was being recorded the same time as Meek’s. Cruz turned it down out, but quickly came to regret his decision. “We had just started the very, very beginning of what would become Championships — and I dubbed it,” Cruz recalled. “That is a big thing that I have to carry and deal with. I would tell a youngin’ coming up under me, ‘Go to Paris, bro.’”

Meek Mill Claims He Put His Engineer On

Meek did not appreciate the engineer’s thoughts. The “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper hopped on X to air out his feelings on the matter and criticize Cruz for being ungrateful. “Imagine building an engineer up teaching them presets working for years,” he wrote. “In [sic] to hear them say they woulda went to Paris instead of worked on what we building sound like jay groupies.” Meek, who has a professional friendship with JAY-Z, also made it clear that he’s much more than a stepping stone. “Jay my family … yall be selling yall self short and may never even make it to him,” he added.

Meek likes to rant on X. He proved it when he beefed with Drake in 2015 and when he was linked to the Diddy case earlier this year. He did, however, fairly point out that he gave Cruz a break in his engineering career. “When I met Cruz he was the store runner I needed an engineer and started using him everyday,” he recalled. The rapper labeled Cruz’s comments “insane” and suggested he may seek out another engineer on future albums.

July 2020: Ye’s Grievances With Meek Mill & Kim K Meeting

In the midst of Ye’s divorce from Kim Kardashian, the Chicago-born native made a bombshell allegation regarding Meek Mill and Kim. The Vultures 1 artist suggested that Kim attempted to make a move on Meek. “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf [sic] for ‘prison reform,’” West wrote. “Meek is my man and was respectful. That’s my dog,” he added, before claiming that “Kim was out of line.” In response, Meek called “cap” and the tension between them seemed to have been put to an end.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

In early October 2022, Kanye West held his Paris fashion show. There, he was spotted wearing a shirt that bore the phrase “White Lives Matter.” The rapper and record producer was also seen with the frequent controversy stirrer, Candace Owens. Unsurprisingly, she also donned the same shirt in white. Knowing the sentiments that phrase carries, it’s no surprise that there was immediate backlash.

One of the celebrities who called West out was Boosie. He tweeted: “@kanyewest AFTER ALL WE BEEN THROUGH AS A RACE YOU PUT THIS DISRESPECTFUL SHIT ON!! U GIVES NO FUCKS ABOUT HOW BLACKS HAVE DIED N SUFFERED TO THE HANDS OF THE WHITE MAN. N U SAY BUSH DONT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE…REALLY NIGGA.” A few days later, Kanye responded to Boosie’s tweet with a now-deleted tweet. He wrote: “Speak to me. Yeah little nerd ass me come smack me or come shoot me. I’m the one that got bullied by the entire black celebrity community now I’m back to shoot the school up.”

On October 7, 2022, Meek Mill joined the conversation and called Kanye West. He wrote a long post on his Instagram story speaking on how he felt about West’s tweet against Boosie. He wrote: “I used to listen to ye every night and jail for motivation on god. And came home and watched him shit on my name and brand like nothing. I ain’t say nothing, but I been knew you was on that nerd tryna shit on street N***as you just said it to Boosie… it hurts my heart to even know some of y’all this crazy and lame.”

October 16, 2022: The Infamous Drink Champs Interview

Days after Meek Mill’s Instagram statement, Kanye West went on Drink Champs. The entire interview was filled with outlandish comments from West, which caused the video to be taken down soon after it was uploaded. He not only made false claims about George Floyd’s death, but also made several anti-Semitic comments. To top it all off, Kanye brought also up Meek Mill’s name, labeling Meek a fed. “All you fake hard n***as, fuck you,” he said. “You can’t shoot nobody anyway, and the only reason you talk is because you did a deal you fucking fed.”

November 20, 2022: “God Did”

By November, Meek Mill released his freestyle music video for the track, “God Did.” The track centered on Meek Mill’s triumphs and tribulations. On it, he reflected on his modest origins, advocacy for prison reform, and subtle jabs aimed at the 2024 presidential hopeful. However, it was clear that Meek Mill also had some words for West that he needed to get off his chest.

He rapped: “I will never sell my soul for money, like I’m Kanye/ It’s crazy I used to bring you on my cell house on lock day/ Famous b**ches got my idols lookin’ at me sideways/ I don’t need no verses from you n***as, I did it my way.”

December 2022: Kanye Laughs At Meek Mill

During a conversation with Wack 100 on Clubhouse, West revisited the controversy surrounding his “White Lives Matter” t-shirt. He then directed his criticism towards Meek Mill, and couldn’t contain his laughter when the notion of Meek offering him advice was brought up. He said, laughing: “And I put White Lives Matter on a t-shirt. And they said, you know what let’s go get celebrities, let’s go get Puff Daddy, let’s get Dave Chappelle, let’s get Meek Mills. What makes somebody think Meek Mills can say something to me? This is the funniest thing. Yo man, I’m about to start crying laughing. Somebody thought Meek Mills? Sorry. I’m literally in tears. Somebody say, Meek Mills.”

That same day, Meek responded to West with a tweet that read: “Never lost my mind for fame or money. I still have my family… my people respect me… I’m freeing people from prison… I’m doing community service all month with children up close and personal.” He ended his message with the line, “I’m chilling wit my son and his friends today.. y’all on clubhouse at 50 lol.”

March 2024: “Carnival”

Kanye took to his Instagram account on March 11 to share a video commemorating the success of his latest chart-topper, “Carnival.” In his celebratory post, Ye took the opportunity to specifically mention Drake, Hailey Bieber, the Three Stripes brand, and several others. Around the same time, his interview with Big Boy launched where he delved into similar conspiracies about supposed “handlers” in the music industry, including the Philadelphia rapper. Meek Mill then took to X to speak on the matter. It was then that he stated that he was confused why their beef started.

He wrote: “I think Yeezy smart but be off a lil but because I bought like 17 pair of Yeezys since we been trading rap shots. And I listened to your music to get me through my bid you a super legend I was more confused of why you was going so hard to go at me in the beginning. When you see us going at it it’s always rap beef we know each other personally and would never let it go to far! It’s a bloody sport gotta be rough wit it.” Ye has yet to respond to the tweet.

DJ Akademiks Encourages Followers To Write Hateful Messages About Meek Mill To PA Governor

DJ Akademiks and Meek Mill have been constantly going at each other’s throats. Of course, the hate for one another was rekindled after the slew of Diddy lawsuits. Namely, the one where the Philadelphia rapper was a potential sexual partner with Diddy. Everyone has been roasting him for it, and AK has been a big proprietor of it all. Recently, the two have been verbally sparring on X as the MC sent some life-threatening messages at the media pundit.

Meek tweeted out, “Next time ima go live! But if something happen to me we hunting you til death!” This was a response to an Akademiks message where he called out his Philly roots. This recent exchange has led to a movement that AK is looking to get a massive following for. The troller asked his followers to write letters to the Pennsylvania governor to call out Meek Mill for being two-faced.

DJ Akademiks Is Doing Whatever He Can To Win This Meek Mill Beef

He attached a Rumble link where he streams, with a request to convince the governor of the Midwestern state of how “disgusting” Meek is. “Tonight my livestream will be all writing letters to the governor of Pennsylvania asking why he’s next to a disgusting lowlife thug like @meekmill while he threaten to kill civilians but proclaim he’s bout prison reform and ending violence.” This effort of vindication went down last night and as of now there is no word on how successful it went. More information on that should come, so be sure to stick around.

What are your thoughts on DJ Akademiks going to this length to convince people and the PA governor that Meek Mill is a bad person? Who is winning in this beef right now and why? Do you see this getting out of hand, or has it gotten there already? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Meek Mill Trolls DJ Akademiks Over Podcast Offer, Ak Claps Back

Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks aren’t slowing down their beef at all. It seems like they will continue to flame each other online over literally anything. For example, you may remember that Ak offered the Philly MC a podcast deal. He had said that he wanted to enter that business. But in his latest clapback, Meek told the media personality that he’s a small fry, and that he shouldn’t bother. Clearly, this set something off in both of them. The result was some more lengthy and bitter Twitter rants on Sunday (March 17).

“I’m richer than everybody that deal with you lol,” Meek Mill told DJ Akademiks. “Not like a finance podcast deal thing lol I hang around all billionaires and I’m caked up. you streaming for your chair getting drunk. I’m changing laws and stopping major hood beefs and trying to uplift the culture! The hat you wear I might own I just don’t be saying nothing.” “Wait.. you’re stopping hood beefs … LMAOOO..” DJ Akademiks retorted to this message, and went on to call Meek out for his alleged hypocrisy. “N***a your freestyle 2 days ago u rapped ‘You n***as start spinning we spraying your car.. Turks and Caicos.. I got back and bought 3 new dracos.’ N***a you’re the biggest promoter of the s**t you claim you want to stop. You Don’t think tweeting that you got a million put to to the side to wipe a street n***a family off the map is inciting street beef?? U dont think acting like ur driving around philly at 2 am w/ ur check engine light on ready to spin is inciting street beefs? You Don’t think you being a millionaire but taunting ppl who have no choice to be in the hood is fueling street beefs?

“U dont think blocking opportunities from upcoming rappers who have no outlet but drugs and violence is inciting street beefs?” he concluded. “You dont think tweeting you’re down to ‘DIE’ over a situation you reacted to poorly is inciting street beefs? Does Meek Mill Have A Podcast Deal?

For years, Meek Mill has been the voice of the streets. The “Shaq & Kobe” rapper has used his time in the booth to shed light on the issues plaguing his hometown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. But in recent times, he’s taken his advocacy out of the booth and into the political sphere (see his influence in the state’s Probation Reform Bill).

Now, Meek appears to be gearing up to expand his voice with a formal podcast. Continue below for more information.

Does Meek Mill Have A Podcast Deal?

Long story short, the answer is no. Well, at least not one that he’s willing to sign. On March 16, Meek put the bug out there on his official X (formerly Twitter) page. “I want a podcast deal. I have a lot to say on many different levels,” he wrote. “If you have a podcast business moving slowly, I can reverse that! I’ve always been my own media, and I wanna join the culture of black media!”

Immediately after Meek announced his interest, his foe Akademiks chimed in. Instead of trolling as usual, Akademiks offered Meek a one-million-dollar production deal through his company. However, Meek quickly shot it down.

“Not like a finance podcast deal thing, LOL,” he wrote. “I hang around all billionaires, and I’m caked up… You streaming for your chair getting drunk … I’m changing laws and stopping major hood beefs and trying to uplift the culture!”

If Akademiks is willing to throw up seven figures to fund Meek, we’re sure another company will place their bid soon enough. As of today (March 17), this venture is just a dream. But Meek has already shared the working name and mission of the audio project.

Tierra Whack Thanks Meek Mill For Calling Jay-Z & Fixing Her Beyonce Collab

Tierra Whack recently stopped by Hot 97 to speak on her new album WORLD WIDE WHACK, and during that conversation, she revealed a wild story behind her collaborative track with Beyoncé. “It was somebody we knew that was really on her team,” she began. “They’re like, ‘Yeah, she wants you on [“MY POWER”].’ I was like, ‘Alright, send the song.’ ‘Oh it comes out in two days, too,’ and it’s like… Whoo! So, we played the song, and I was like, ‘Alright, this beat’s cr*zy.’ I wrote the verse in, like, 20 minutes. We were looking at each other like, ‘Is it good?’ It came so easy. We didn’t want a rush a song with Beyonce. We don’t want to rush any song, but a song with Beyonce? You gotta be careful.

“So my verse, it was an open slot for the last verse,” Tierra Whack continued. “We sent it over, and it’s like, ‘Yo, she likes it so much, she’s gonna put it as the opening.’ I was like, ‘Oh s**t, right, that’s cr*zy, yo, n***a, we made it!’ Yeah. I never told anybody this, but I’ma tell y’all this. We sent our rough, and then we were like, ‘Yo, before it comes out, we need to hear what the engineers are doing on that side, ’cause we wanna make sure and just be comfortable,’ right? We don’t want to hear no effects and stuff. So they sent it back last-minute, Somebody on that side sent it back and… my verse was off. Like, off-beat. It made me sound like I didn’t know how to rap.

“I was so hurt, and I was like, ‘Yo, I don’t want to seem ungrateful, I don’t wanna like…’ You know what I’m saying? I know how to rap,” Tierra Whack went on. “Yeah, I said something. It took me a few hours, ’cause I wanted to just make sure I said it right. So, I didn’t get that right contact to her. I think Hov switched his number, he had a new number. By the time I texted him, it went green. But I have his number today, so yeah, I got it. I’m good, I’m still in, I’m still cool! Um… so, I had to communicate, right? So, what I did was I reached out to Meek. You know, Meek, that’s like my cousin. No, like, real cousins.

“So I reached out to Meek, I’m like, ‘Yo, this happened. And I need you to say it for me,’” she concluded. “So he hit Hov, and I guess Hov tapped B, like, ‘Yo, Whack saying this verse is not right.’ And then she made a few phone calls, and it was over with. It was good, it was all figured out. Then Hov hit me and he’s like, ‘I’m glad you spoke up, because your s**t gotta be right.’ But the whole world at this moment, y’all know I can rap. But, I was like, I gotta be [right]. No, I was like, ‘Does this engineer have ears?’ It was so bad, like, it was so off. I change flows like three times, so it all has to match.” For more on Tierra Whack, Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Meek Mill, come back to HNHH.

Meek Mill Shouts Out Mystery Woman Who Raps His Song Perfectly, Fans Question It

Meek Mill is a big fan of his fans, often shouting out their praises on his social media or advocating for them in his messages and industry moves. Moreover, it’s no surprise that he would want to shout out a mystery woman (well, not mystery: she’s content creator Aggy Baby) that rapped his track “Whatever I Want” with Fivio Foreign on her Instagram Story on his own IG page. The Philly MC has always engaged in this type of behavior online, yet recent context seems to have made fans forget that. For example, many folks such as this commenter had another interpretation of this: “he’s still on this ‘look at me, I’m not gay’ tour!

Furthermore, this narrative is something that has plagued Meek Mill in a nastily homophobic way (a sad two-way street) ever since he was implicitly mentioned in a sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy. This was his response to comedian Andrew Schulz making fun of this matter. “the first time I laughed at being gay,” the HEATHENISM rapper tweeted in response to Schulz’s joke with a bunch of laughing emojis. “But don’t with me in real life I May swing lol.”

Elsewhere, though, Meek Mill is focusing back up on his commitment to his community. “If you black or brown talk about this,” he said of a recent shooting in his home city that injured eight children, two of which were in critical condition. “It’s kids that’s gonna pick up guns because they think they gonna die b4 they turn 21 for a gun license! You will go from Xbox to Glock because of your environment. And get locked up for trying to survive. It it’s terrible!

“I wanna help [the mayor] especially with education…” the 36-year-old continued in a follow-up tweet. “I have dreams of working with the Yas foundation with dream chasers academy to offer these kids resources with technology and to travel outside of that environment to understand life! I’m in on reform ima join helping with education!” For more news and the latest updates on Meek Mill, come back to HNHH.
