Latto and Mariah The Scientist were the most recent guests on Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast, and their tea spillage raised a lot of fans’ eyebrows. Let’s start with the latter, who’s in a very public relationship with Young Thug. The basketball star asked her if she finds it hard to stay connected with Thugger amid his prison time and ongoing RICO trial. “So, I be going to court…” the singer replied while acknowledging how long-distance it feels. “Sometimes I fall asleep in there. But I just go to [breathe] his air. […] He’s been locked up now for longer than we was in a relationship before he got locked up.”

However, Mariah The Scientist also elaborated on her remarks in The Shade Room‘s comments section after they shared a clip of the podcast. “FYI, I see what y’all be saying…” she wrote, responding to criticism of how she’s handled her relationship with Young Thug while in he’s in jail. “Nobody wakes up and hopes to have to see somebody they love in court or at a jail every day. Just chill on the judgement. Maybe u would understand if u were in my shoes but I won’t wish that on you. In fact, I’m very optimistic for my own situation.”

Latto & Mariah The Scientist Speak On Their Romances

As for Latto, rumors about her dating 21 Savage have never been confirmed, but they remain a hot topic for many fans. Regardless, this is what she had to say about her mystery relationship. “My s**t ain’t no secret to who needs to know,” the femcee explained. “Like, mama know what’s up… you feel me?” “I don’t know, I just feel like at this rate, I’m gonna have me a baby in secret,” she answered when Angel Reese asked whether she plans to go public with whoever she’s with right now.

Since Young Thug is unfortunately still behind bars, we can’t really get many life updates from him that fall outside of his RICO case alongside YSL. As such, whenever they do allegedly pop up, they always have to come accompanied by a huge grain of salt. The latest example of this is an Instagram tribute to Thugger from a woman named Daisy, writing “Free Jeffery” and a rendition of a snake in a pool full of flowers. Of course, this prompted a whole lot of relationship rumors and speculation that he had another woman in his life that wasn’t his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist.

As such, fans tagged Mariah in this post incessantly, but this is all too unclear and vague to really call either way. We know that Young Thug has had many partners in the past, and it’s impossible to know who he’s still in contact with. The last development that we got concerning his RICO case is DJ Akademiks’ belief that he will be found guilty. Other than that and other social media discussions, not much has happened over the past week or so.

However, no matter how much or how little happens in court, we know that Mariah The Scientist has always been there to support Young Thug through it all. Latto Announces First Headlining Tour And Reveals Her Opening Acts

Latto is having a great year. The rapper has seemingly moved from one strength to another throughout 2024’s first half. She landed a high profile feature on a Drake song. She scored a major hit with “Sunday Service.” Now, Latto is poised to take the next step in her career by embarking on her first ever tour as a headliner. The rapper broke the news on August 14. She not only unveiled the title of the tour, but she confirmed that she’s taking two rising superstars with her as opening acts.

Latto’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea tour will kick off October 25 in Tampa. The tour will span 22 cities, and end in Denver on December 7. The rapper is making sure to spread the love by bringing Mariah the Scientist and Karrahbooo on as on openers. Mariah the Scientist appeared on the song “Look What You Did” from Latto’s new album. An album that managed to top the U.S. Apple Music album chart, and garner positive word of mouth from fans. The general consensus among listeners is that Latto hit it out of the park with the Sugar Honey Iced Tea album. It’s safe to assume she’ll do the same on tour.

Latto’s Stage Presence Has Evolved Over The Years

Latto has been vocal about her superstar aspirations. She reflected on her stage presence during a recent interview with Billboard. “I’m most proud of my comfort onstage,” she explained. “When I watch footage back, I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh. Who is she? That’s not the same girl from rehearsal.’ I feel like I’m looking at a star.” Latto also discussed some of the things she wants to implement into her stage show on the upcoming Sugar Honey Iced Tea tour.

“I definitely want to get more into choreography,” the rapper told the outlet. “We started off with [none], and now I’m hitting a little one, two here and there. I be telling them I need my ‘Roll on the floor, get back up” dramatic moment.” Latto admitted that experience has played a big role in shaping the performer that she’s become. Now, nothing is stopping here. Not even heels. “Being more comfortable in heels,” she identified as a key change. “I should be able to give a good show in heels. It just looks more elevated. Latto Drops Stacked Tracklist For New Album “SUGAR HONEY ICED TEA”

Latto has been building up the hype for her third studio album. She’s been dropping singles all summer, and one of them “Put It on da Floor,” peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Well, the remix with Cardi B, but the point still stands. Latto has more eyes on her than ever, and SUGAR HONEY ICED TEA is right around the corner. The rapper dropped the tracklist for the anticipated project on August 7th, and suffice to say, it’s loaded with superstar features.

We knew Cardi B was going to be on the album. She nearly steals the show with her flow on the aforementioned remix. We didn’t expect, however, the firepower that would be littered throughout the rest of SUGAR HONEY ICED TEA. Young Nudy and Teezo Touchdown will drop verses on the songs “Shrimps & Grits” and “Prized Possession,” respectively. Hunxho will also pop up on the provocatively titled “Copper Love.” The rest of the feature spots are dedicated to Latto’s female peers. In addition to Cardi, Coco Jones and Ciara will provide R&B hooks on “Ear Candy” and “Good to You.” Mariah the Scientist will bring her trademark swagger to “Look What You Did.”

Latto is depicted in Spotify’s new Gold Standard Exhibition honoring “the ladies setting the bar for hip-hop” and showcased in New York City’s The Hole Gallery. Sugar Honey Iced Tea, her upcoming album due out on August 9, should be Latto’s latest masterpiece.

On Wednesday, August 7, the Atlanta-bred rapper revealed the full Sugar Honey Iced Tea tracklist, and she is not playing around. The album features Coco Jones, Megan Thee Stallion, Ciara, Young Nudy, Hunxho, Mariah The Scientist, and Teezo Touchdown.

“When the album drop pls listen in order & don’t skip ‘Big Mama’ just cuz it’s already out I put a lot of effort into the sequence [smiley face emoji],” Latto captioned her Instagram post.

Latto released “Big Mama” in June. The song placed within the top 50 of several Billboard charts, including peaking at No. 29 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Mariah The Scientist Arrested In Atlanta Nightclub Attack

According to a confirmed report, rapper Mariah The Scientist has been arrested in connection to a fight in an Atlanta nightclub that left another woman badly beaten in the brawl.

Mariah, who is best known for being the girlfriend of incarcerated rapper Young Thug, was accused by Cleopatra Dues of being assaulted at Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail Lounge in ATL back on March 29. T%he police report obtained by TMZ stated that Mariah, whose real name is Mariah Buckles, pulled Dues’ wig off her head and then proceeded to drag her around the bar, causing injuries to her legs.

The incident was allegedly caught on video, but it has not been confirmed that the person in the video is Mariah.

Dues, who is from Staten Island, has vowed to press charges.

The “Spread Thin” star recently claimed that she would be waiting for Young Thug even if he faces a lengthy prison bid if he is found guilty in his ongoing YSL RICO trial.

On Angela Yee’s Way Up, The Scientist spoke about the time behind bars Thug is facing in his YSL RICO case and Mariah said, “I think in the beginning I was so sensitive about it. I was so emotional, I was crying all the time. It was like, you can’t be crying when you got a man in jail because it’s going to make him sad. So you can’t be acting like that.”

Mariah The Scientist Arrested For Alleged March Assault: Details

Mariah The Scientist’s alleged club fight from back in March seems to have caught up to her, as TMZ Hip Hop reports that authorities in Atlanta arrested her on Wednesday night (May 1). Moreover, according to an alleged Fulton County police report obtained by the publication, a woman named Cleopatra Dues told the Zone 2 precinct on March 29 that Mariah attacked her the night before inside Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail. Not only that, but Dues alleged that this was for no apparent reason. The story goes that the artist took hold of her, snatched her wig off, and dragged her across the table and floor, resulting in leg and feet injuries. Eventually, Dues claims she left the scene after being attacked and called 911, relaying to dispatchers that she felt unsafe.

Furthermore, a video of the incident spread quickly on social media shortly after it occurred, with some folks assuming that the victim was Staten Island rapper Cleotrapa. However, given her tweet denying this, it seems like initial reports on a police investigation were probably a factor that caused this assumption, since the MC shares a similar name to the woman that reportedly filed a report. It’s also very hard to identify in the video whether it’s really Mariah The Scientist, plus whether the victim is really Cleotrapa. Regardless, whoever Dues is wants to press charges and to ask Cavo for any additional surveillance footage of what happened.

Mariah The Scientist Performing In London

Still, apparently Dues didn’t have her glasses on at the time of the alleged brawl, so she wasn’t able to fully identify who her supposed assailant was. Reportedly, she went on to identify Mariah The Scientist as the alleged culprit, real name Mariah Buckles. Dues said that she has no idea why Thugger’s boo attacked her, as she claimed she hadn’t interacted with her or any of her friends at all. As such, you can see why this is a bizarre situation.

Finally, full-circling back to this reported arrest, Atlanta police apparently booked Mariah The Scientist yesterday on a battery charge, and she bonded out later in the day. While this is a mysterious legal claim to deal with, it’s also not the only brush-in she had with a legal matter recently. As Young Thug’s partner, the Atlanta native has been very supportive of him amid his RICO trial. There have been some alleged bumps on the way, but they seem pretty stable now as a couple, this arrest notwithstanding.

Mariah The Scientist Alleged Club Brawl: What We Know

In the early hours of Thursday, March 28th, a video clip allegedly featuring R&B crooner Mariah the Scientist went viral across social media.  The clip, although short, purportedly shows Mariah in Jeans and a white hoodie getting off the floor, and then attempting to get back to being physical with an unknown woman who is not clearly shown in the video. One of the earliest accounts on X to post the video clip captioned it: “Sh*t Mariah ran in the club and swung on Cleo.”

Cleotrapra Isn’t The Other Woman

The other woman, Cleo, was initially wrongly identified as Cleotrapa, the reality TV star and rapper behind “Rockstar.” However, Cleotrapa herself resorted to social media to dispel any thoughts or rumors about being the other woman in the video. She also showed love to Mariah the Scientist, labeling her “my fave.” She also tweeted: “LMFAOOOOOO y’all really don’t know my résumé. I will never be on camera fighting anyone! Just register that… I’ve worked with so many brands like stop playing with my name fr.”

This story was subsequently corroborated by Cleotrapa’s publicist Alicia Gooding, who wrote: “Cleo is in New York working on the release of her ‘Von Dutch’ single and shooting the video. She wouldn’t have been in a physical altercation with her peers. So much work to do. There’s no way she could be in that fight.” With eyes off Cleotrapa, many believe the Cleo in question to be one of Young Thug’s baby mamas.

I get it y’all mad, but they have been postponed last minute because I thought I’d be able to do them… I thought I’d be able to show up and be back by now.”

Today (March 28), however, the black-haired beauty is in the news for allegedly throwing hands at the club. In a video making rounds on blogs this morning, Mariah appears to get physical with another female artist, Cleotrapa, though much remains unknown about what started the brawl.

According to a new update from @theneighborhoodtalk on Instagram, the “Church” songstress is the one who swung first. “S**t, Mariah ran in the club and swung on Cleo,” an insider who was at the after hours venue told the outlet. The Scientist was reportedly yelling something at Cleotrapa as she attacked her, but the source was unable to make out the exact words amid all the commotion and loud music. Despite her best efforts, Thugger’s lover apparently lost in the end, even ending up on the ground at one point.
