This Friday (January 12), the soundtrack for the upcoming movie, The Book Of Clarence, is set to drop. As the tracklist has been revealed, it features some seriously major artists, according to Genius.
Doja Cat is set to collaborate with Kodak Black and Adekunle Gold on “Jeezu.” D’Angelo and Jay-Z are performing “I Want You Forever,” which is reportedly nine minutes long, according to Vibe. Kid Cudi and Jorja Smith also make an appearance on the record with their respective songs. And so many more talented musicians are involved on top of that.
Lil Wayne’s appearance on “Hallelujah Heaven” was released as the first glimpse of the album back in November, which you can check out above.
“There was never a question as to whether I would compose the score and write and perform on the soundtrack, as well as write and direct the movie,” the film’s director, Jeymes Samuel, shared with Billboard. “It was all one amazing journey where one depended on the other. But I also worked with the most awesome artists on our track ‘Hallelujah Heaven.’ Collaborating with Lil Wayne, Buju Banton and Shabba Ranks was so dope; I loved getting them all on the same track.”
The film will also be available to watch in theaters starting this weekend.

We are just five days away from going INSANO! Legendary Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi is going to be dropping his 10th project on January 12. Over the past few weeks, the multi-talented artist gave his fans updates on different aspects of the album. We know everything we possibly need to know now, as Cudi has just announced the tracklist. The 39-year-old revealed the names of the songs across his social media accounts and there are some impressive collaborations as well.
“THE SCOTTS” are reuniting once again, as Travis Scott and Scott Mescudi are bringing their talents to “Get Off Me.” ASAP Rocky will land on the fifth track called “Wow.” Other additions include DJ Drama, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, a posthumous XXXTENTACION, and Lil Wayne. While this is an enticing 21-song tracklist, fans were still a little let down. During the earlier stages of the rollout, it was rumored that INSANO was going to be 40 songs.
However, it appears those 19 additional songs will be on a deluxe version. Kid Cudi reassured his fans by following up the announcement by saying, “I said there will be a deluxe. Patience.” Some of those cuts that could make it onto the extended version could be the two-pack of “ILL WHAT I BLEED/MOST AIN’T DENNIS” that was released on Soundcloud. There is no release date for the deluxe, but we cannot wait for what Cudi has in store.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new album announcement from Kid Cudi? Are you okay with the 21-song tracklist, instead of the rumored 40? How do you feel about the features and the number of them? Based on the titles and guests, which tracks are going to be the best? Does this have a chance to be his best album, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Kid Cudi. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on around the music world.
In just about a week, Cleveland, Ohio rapper and singer Kid Cudi, will be dropping his 10th project, INSANO. Over the past couple of weeks, we have received some exciting updates on the details of the project. We have come to learn the feature list, producing credits, as well as the release date. Fans can expect the album to hit all streaming platforms on Friday, January 12, presumably at midnight. So far, quite a few singles have been rolled out.
Kid Cudi Calls Out Juice WRLD’s Estate, But Things Seem To Be OK?
Cudster put out a tweet that read, “Hey gang, so I never heard back from Juice team, they said we could use it on my album and they would use it on his, but his team went ghost when we reached out and its been months so it wont be on the deluxe. I tried but u know, whatever [shrugging emoji] not me.” However, the master hummer posted an Instagram story screenshot from Peter Jideonwo. He is Juice’s former manager but is still involved with his team.
Peter replied to Cudi, saying, “Song is cleared for @kidcudi but since it’s on the party never ends [Juice’s next album] it can’t come out till the release. It can be added to [Cudi’s] album after that happens since his album has to come out now.” He goes on, “No one is ignoring or not responding to him. He knows this information and that’s the deal.” The rapper was made aware of this by a random Twitter user and it seems all things are good now. Cudi writes back, “First me hearin this. Never was told it cant come out til his album does. Thats cool tho. We have answers. Power of a tweet.” So, maybe we will get it after all? We will have to wait and see.
So far, a highlight of the set of albums that are expected to be released in 2024 is Kid Cudi’sInsano. As fans wait on that, they may be wondering:
Will Kid Cudi go on tour in 2024?
It appears so, yes.
Currently, Cudi’s website does not list any upcoming tour dates, and none have been officially announced elsewhere. But, on X (formerly Twitter) yesterday (January 2), somebody asked Cudi if there will be a world tour in support of the album. He responded, “Yes!! Startin in June!”
Meanwhile, another fan asked Cudi yesterday about when he’ll reveal the Insano tracklist and Cudi replied, “Day before the album. Features will be hidden. Ull discover when it drops.”

Somebody else asked Cudi what makes Insano stand out from his previous albums and he answered, “None of my albums was I truly this happy. None. Thats why this one means more than anything else. I went in surrounded by light. I hope u enjoy it.”

Kid Cudi wore a dress on Saturday Night Live, and a fan attempted to connect his appearance to a humiliation ritual conducted by The Illuminati. Well, Cudi had some time.
“Dear Issac u silly stupid lil person and all people under this post,” Cudi opened. “It’s the start of a new year and I got time for muthafuckas like u today. This most is mad fuckin lame of u and said.
“A black man cant express himself and be confident AND successful with out it being some conspiracy. My success was givin to me by God with the help of my many angels.”

Late last year, Kid Cudi returned with a bang as he released “At The Party,” featuring the talents of Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott. The track is the next single from his highly anticipated ninth full-length studio album, INSANO, marking his first full-length release since 2022.
Kid Cudi has long been known for pushing the boundaries of music and art, and “At The Party” is poised to continue that legacy. With Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott on board, this collaboration promises to be a standout addition to the artist’s discography.
In addition to pushing the boundaries of hip-hop, Kid Cudi has long held a reputation for also pushing those of fashion. He solidified his adventurous sense of style in 2021, when he performed on Saturday Night Live wearing a white floral dress by Off-White, the brand founded by his friend Virgil Abloh, in a tribute to Kurt Cobain, who’d similarly done so in the early ’90s. While the move received praise from members of the cast, Cudi knew he’d receive backlash for it, but wasn’t worried.
He wasn’t wrong, either; even today, nearly three years later, he’s receiving criticism for the iconic moment — but he isn’t taking it lying down. When a user on Twitter posted a video of the performance and called it an “Illuminati humiliation ritual” (yes, they had a blue check, funny how that works now), Cudi lit into them for making such an ignorant, frankly misogynistic and homophobic statement.
“Its the start of a new year and I got time for muthaf*ckas like u today,” he wrote. “This post is mad f*ckin lame of u and sad. A black man cant express himself and be confident AND successful with out it being some conspiracy. My success was givin to me by God with the help of my many angels. All u people in the commenfs that have been tweetin me all day about this sh*t can gargle on my mayo. This moment was a proud moment for me, a shinin moment for all people who express themselves in their art. I felt free and alive, it inspired people and nothing u stupid simple asses say can take that away from me.”

There’s plenty of writing about how gender norms and fashion have changed — even in recent years. If there’s any consolation for Cudi, it’s that he’s not alone. Rap fans have criticized Lil Nas X, Lil Uzi Vert, and Young Thug for wearing “women’s clothes” but that doesn’t seem to be stopping them from expressing themselves as they see fit.
One notable feature of Hip Hop is conflict, and Kanye West is no stranger to beef. The genre has seen several artists go from friends to foes, to friends all over again. Kanye West and Kid Cudi were once inseparable, often complementing each other stylistically and musically. Unfortunately, things took a turn in their relationship in recent years, leading the Cleveland rapper to cut ties with his former mentor.
Nonetheless, it looks like the grass might be greener for the famous duo. Their saga of artistic kinship, brotherhood, and shared triumphs has kept fans hopeful that they will become attached at the hip once again. Most recently, fans saw promising signs when Kid Cudi embraced Kanye at his Vultures listening party. Let’s explore the highs and lows that these two musical maestros share in their history.
The roots of Kanye West and Kid Cudi as friends can be traced back to the mid-2000s. The two crossed paths in New York City as Cudi worked various retail jobs. First, Kanye West and Kid Cudi met at a Virgin Megastore where the former was browsing through CDs in 2006. Then, Cudi formally introduced himself while working at the BAPE Store in New York and handed his CD to West.
Kid Cudi famously caught Ye’s attention with his unique sound and distinct style. Plain Pat put Kid Cudi on Kanye’s radar, leading to his deal with G.O.O.D Music. In 2008, Cudi’s debut mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, made waves exponentially. The lauded tape featured tracks that showcased his introspective lyrics and experimental production. Ye was one of the major stars in attendance at the mixtape’s release party.
2008-2012: A Symphony And A Sign
2008 marked a milestone in the Kanye-Cudi chronicles. The pair worked together on Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3, as well as West’s iconic 808s & Heartbreak. The latter album famously defied conventions, laying the groundwork for a new era in Hip Hop. Cudi’s fingerprints are all over the album, contributing vocals and collaborating on tracks like “Welcome To Heartbreak,” and “Paranoid.”
That same year, Kid Cudi was signed by Kanye West into G.O.O.D. Music Label. Cudi’s career proved a success, beginning with the release of his 2009 album, Man On The Moon: The End of Day. While under the label, Kid Cudi consistently expressed the profound impact that Kanye West has had on both his career and personal life. The sentiment was conveyed through multiple interviews, performances, and a significant portion of his musical catalog.
On April 2nd, 2013, Cudi announced while on air with Power 106, that he was leaving G.O.O.D. Music. He stated: “Everything is cool. Everything is peace with everybody on the label. There’s never been any issues, but I’m announcing that I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music.”
When he was asked if Kanye had something to do with him leaving, he clarified that wasn’t the case. “I can never be tired of Kanye. We were talking on the phone the other day and there are just things I’ve been wanting to talk to him about. About me starting my own direction. And he got it because you know, he’s trying to start his new path and trying new things as an artist… We cool.” Soon after, Cudi went on to start his own label, Wicked Awesome Records.
2014: Cudi’s Frustrations With “Guilt Trip”
After Cudi departed West’s label, West released his 2013 album, Yeezus. The song “Guilt Trip” featured Cudi’s vocals on the outro. This came as a shock to Cudi, who alleged he only found out he was on the track through Twitter. In an interview with Complex, he shared that while he was at first flattered, he wasn’t too happy with it. “Part of me was flattered, like, it’s kind of cool that he thought of me,” he said. “Then I started thinking about it more. It was like, ‘Why not call me and have me come in there and give it? Why underuse me? Why put four bars of vocals to coax my fans into thinking this is a legitimate Kid Cudi feature on this song and it isn’t?”
2016: Kid Cudi And Kanye West Fall Out & Reconcile
In 2016, Kid Cudi took to his Twitter account to send out a barrage of tweets slamming multiple artists, including Kanye West. Drake and Travis Scott are other names that appeared in his tweets. In the tweets, Cudi claimed multiple stars were hating on him. In the same vein, he shared that he was “bout to crush their entire existence.”
I need y’all to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know Im bout to crush their entire existence. I’m the one they worry about cause they know I don’t give a f–k about the corny shit they do. All my youngins out here reppin, Asap Rocky and the whole ASAP family, Travis Scott, SuperDuper Kyle, Audio Push, Hit Boy, etc, I see y’all. And all u jealous chicken hearted s–ts I see you too. I am the culture. I kept silent because I don’t ever wanna come off like some angry hater, but today, not only do I feel fantastic, I’m feelin like taking over. I already have. My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n––s don’t give a f–k about me. And they ain’t f–kin’ with me.
West addressed Cudi’s public confrontation. While performing on his Saint Pablo Tour, he shared his hurt concerning the matter. “I am so hurt. I feel so disrespected,” Ye said. “Kid Cudi, we are two Black men in a racist world. Don’t ever mention my name in a bad manner, none of y’all.” A few days later, West addressed the matter again. However, this time, he expressed forgiveness by saying he hoped Cudi was doing well. In November, the two artists reconciled on stage. Kid Cudi joined Kanye West for a performance of “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” in Sacramento, California.
2017-2018: KIDS SEE GHOSTS
In 2017, West joined Cudi on stage for the latter’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ tour. This was after Ye had a lengthy absence from the public eye due to his mental health. By 2018, West sparked excitement among fans, promising an incoming joint album. The lauded collaborative project was titled Kids See Ghost, and was set to hit the shelves on June 8th.
February 2022: The Pete Davidson Saga
The announcement of Donda 2’s release came with news that Cudi would not be on the album. In a now-deleted Instagram post, West alluded to his decision being made because Cudi was friends with Pete Davidson, who was, at the time Kim Kardashian’s new beau. “Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you know who,” Ye wrote.
In the comment section, Cudi responded to West, saying: “Too bad I dont wanna be on ur album u f—in dinosaur hahaha. everyone knows ive been the best thing about ur albums since i met u. Ima pray for you brother.” Additionally, Cudi also took to his Twitter account, writing: “We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.”
The exchange continued, as West posted on his Instagram the next day about the matter. He wrote: “THE REASON I ASKED CUDI TO AT THE LEAST SPEAK TO SKETE IS BECAUSE FOR YEARS CUDI ALWAYS MADE IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS ME AND HIM AGAINST EVERYONE NOW THAT IM FIGHTING FOR MY FAMILY HE NOT BY MY SIDE THIS IS BIGGER THAN MUSIC.”
News surfaced that Cudi and Ye were featured on Pusha T’s album. The track, “Rock N Roll,” led many to believe the pair had reconciled. However, Cudi made it clear that they were not friends. “Hey! So I know some of you heard about the song I got w Pusha,” he said. “I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye. I am not cool w that man. He’s not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye.”
August 2022: “It Would Take A Miracle To Be Friends Again”
In an expansive Esquire cover feature, Kid Cudi delved into the breakdown of his connection with Kanye West. He specifically addressed the adverse reactions from West’s fanbase. Moreover, he identified what he perceives as a recurring pattern of behavior from the controversial icon. Despite previous reconciliations after past disagreements, Cudi asserted that this time, their friendship had reached an irreversible end.
“With all due respect, I’m not Drake, who’s about to take a picture with him next week and be friends again, and their beef is squashed,” Cudi said. “That’s not me. What I say, I mean. I will be done with you. It’s gonna take a motherfucking miracle for me and that man to be friends again. I don’t see it happening.”
December 2023: Kanye West And Kid Cudi Hug It Out In Las Vegas
Kid Cudi and Kanye West have buried the hatchet once again. In Las Vegas, at Ye’s livestream event for his Vultures album, the pair were all smiles with each other. Evidently, this development came as a surprise, especially since Cudi had sworn to cut all ties with West just last year. Nonetheless, this could hopefully lead to new moments for longtime friends and collaborators in the future.
From Drake and Nicki Minaj to Taylor Swift and Cardi B, Kanye West (formerly Ye) has a long and well-documented list of people with whom he’s had beef. But according to a recent Rolling Stoneinterview, one iconic musician has rethought getting into it with the “New Body” rapper.
On December 28, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Chaka Khan said that her apparently one-sided grudge with West was over. Back in 2019, on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Khan confessed that she was “insulted” by how her 1984 single “Through The Fire” was sampled on West’s 2003 track “Through The Wire.” But upon reflection, she’s changed her mind.
“You know, that was my fault, too, for feeling salty about that in any way. Because if I understood the rap game more completely, like I do now, then that wouldn’t have been a big deal to me,” said Khan. “I’m done. Please. I’m not hanging on to any silly grudges.”
Based on a video floating around online, Khan isn’t the only artist that recently buried that hatchet with West. It appears that Kid Cudi and him have also put aside their issues after reconnecting at his Vultures listening party on December 14.

Palestine is dealing with bombings from Israel that started on October 7 after Palestinian-led Hamas invaded Israel, and so far over 20,000 Palestinians have been killed. The initial conflict between Israel and Palestine has existed since the 1940s.
Congo & Sudan
The Democratic Republic of Congo, on the other hand, is facing political tensions due to national elections, leading to increased violence.
Clashes between militant groups, territorial disputes, extrajudicial killings by security forces, and tensions with neighboring Rwanda have resulted in a deadly conflict. Over 7 million Congolese citizens have been displaced as a result.
Meanwhile, Sudan is grappling with a genocide in its Darfur region. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, have been engaged in a power struggle with Sudanese Armed Forces(SAF) forces loyal to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
This internal conflict has claimed the lives of more than 9,000 people and displaced over 7 million Sudanese citizens.

The Game Joins The Conversation On Israel-Palestine Conflict: ‘How Are We Allowing This?’
The Game has joined the growing list of artists using their platforms to speak out against the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. The Los Angeles rapper took to his social media, revealing deep concern.
The Game Talks Israel-Palestine Conflict
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Dec. 5, The Game revealed his deep concern for the children caught in the crossfire of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Referring to his children, he admitted that he couldn’t fathom the pain of losing one of them and empathized with the parents in Gaza who were witnessing their children being murdered.
”Some people don’t want to see this …some do want to very much so be aware but can’t stomach the images. I have children. 3 to be exact & I’m sorry to say that if anything happened to 1 of them I don’t know if I could pull it together for the other 2,” he said.
The Game reflected on his upbringing, stating that he was “surrounded by everything that strips a child of harmony.” He also expressed sorrow for the parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents witnessing their children being killed in Gaza.
“I don’t know the exact number of those babies who have perished at this point but last time I checked it was nearing or over 10,000. I can’t say I’m the most religious…I can’t say I’m on any side other than that of these children.”
‘How Are We Allowing This?’
The conflict started on Oct. 7 when Palestinian-led Hamas led an invasion of Israel. Since then, Israel has responded by constantly bombing Palestinians in Gaza, which has resulted in over 16,000 Palestinian deaths, according to Reuters.
The Game would later plead by asking why adults put children in those dangerous and deadly situations.
“How are we allowing this as a human race?? What kind of people…ADULT people in positions of power from any country in this world chilling while these kids are getting blew to pieces?!?!?”
The “How We Do” rapper ended the post by saying:
“Truly saddened by everything that I’m witnessing & have witnessed over the past almost 2 months. Hard to enjoy my day knowing someone out there might never enjoy another one as long as they live.”
Users in the comment section reacted to The Game’s statements. One user named @tvctara commented “Finally someone with a large platform speaking up,” and one other user named @sj_d93 commented “THANK YOU GAME! FREE PALESTINE. ITS A GENOCIDE GOING ON!.”

Kid Cudi Joins Drake, Kehlani & Others To Advocate For Peace In Palestine: ‘I’ll Always Encourage Peace’
Kid Cudi has recently expressed his support for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict. His stance aligns with artists like Drake and Kehlani, who are part of the Artists 4 Ceasefire initiative, which recently penned an open letter to President Joe Biden and the United States Congress. The letter appeals for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel, condemning the loss of lives in the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.
Artists Team Up To Call For Ceasefire
Kid Cudi has recently spoken out and called for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war. This comes amidst artists such as Drake and Kehlani, who joined the initiative called Artists 4 Ceasefire, penning an open letter to President Joe Biden and the United States Congress.
Other artists who have signed the petition include Killer Mike, Vic Mensa, Victoria Monét, and many others. Mensa posted on his Instagram on October 27, simply commenting, “Ceasefire” and promoting the open letter.
The letter appeals for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel, condemning the loss of lives in the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. The letter states:
“Dear President Biden,
We come together as artists and advocates, but most importantly as human beings witnessing the devastating loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine. We ask that, as President of the United States, you and the US Congress call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel before another life is lost. More than 5,000 people have been killed in the last week and a half – a number any person of conscience knows is catastrophic. We believe all life is sacred, no matter faith or ethnicity and we condemn the killing of Palestinian and Israeli civilians.”
Kid Cudi Speaks Out
Kid Cudi took to Instagram on Nov. 5 to express his heartfelt sentiments, stating that he cannot remain silent in the face of such devastation and that as an artist, he feels responsible for giving voice to the unheard.
“The things I’ve been seeing in the news have been breaking my heart,” he began. “I can’t watch what’s happening in the world and remain silent. I can’t imagine the pain people are feeling. “I know some people are gonna disagree with me, but that’s ok. As a Black man, I stand against all forms of oppression. And as an artist, I feel responsible to give a voice to the unheard, and to celebrate the spirit of all people through my work and my presence. It matters to me that my art represents my deepest beliefs about what I think humanity can look like.”
The “Day ‘n’ Nite” rapper also hoped that both nations could have peace and that the loss of lives would stop:
“I’m hopeful we won’t attack each other on the basis of upholding basic human rights. I’ll always encourage peace for everyone – physical peace, mental peace, spiritual peace. No matter the religion or ethnicity, the loss of innocent lives is never acceptable.” Kid Cudi also condemned any violence towards the Jewish people and that Anti-Semitism is “never welcome.”
‘Everybody Wrong’
Kid Cudi would later end his post by calling for a ceasefire and wishing for freedom for Palestine:
“I stand with the people of Palestine as they demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the ongoing genocide. My heart goes out to all my brothers and sisters of all faiths and backgrounds who are suffering. Free Palestine!! With Love, Scott. [Kid Cudi’s real name].”
In a recent interview with SOHH, hip-hop legend KRS-ONEshared his perspective on the Israel-Palestine conflict, stating that “everybody wrong,” and that Israel should not control Palestine’s land.
On a more positive note, Kid Cudi is set to return to the stage as the hip-hop headliner for ComplexCon, an event set to take place in Long Beach, California. The event is set to take place between November 18-19.
DJ Khaled Faces Backlash
Amidst the artists openly supporting Palestine, DJ Khaled, of Palestinian descent, faced criticism for his silence regarding the Israel-Palestine war. Fans took to social media to express their disappointment, questioning why he had not spoken up on the matter.
