Offset Recalls Drake Collaboration Leading To Women Visiting Him In Jail

Offset says that his life behind bars changed after Drake provided a feature to Migos’ breakthrough single, “Versace,” back in 2013. At the time, Offset was locked up for violating his probation stemming from prior felony convictions for burglary and theft. Offset recalled the time in his life during a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy Podcast.

“I had a visitation thing,” he began. “I’m married now ya’ll, so this is nothing cr*zy. This is before my wife. You could have six visits in one day. They 30 minutes a piece. I had my mom on there, and I had like, six girls I was dealing with, but they wasn’t coming! My momma was coming every week, but the girls wasn’t coming!”

Keefe D Admits He’s Afraid Of Jail In Resurfaced Interview Following 2Pac Murder Arrest

Keefe D once admitted he was afraid of being jailed for his comments on the murder of 2Pac, months prior to his arrest in the investigation. The clip, which stems from an interview with The Art of Dialogue, has been resurfacing on social media after the latest updates in the case.

When asked about whether Big Dre was the one to pull the trigger in the killing, Keefe D dodged answering. “Them dudes was kids, man. Both of them dudes was kids back then,” he said at the time. “Dre was an All-CIF basketball player. He had a nice shot, dunking, all that shit. Dre was an athlete. He wasn’t about that.” From there, the interviewer pressed Keefe on the question. Getting flustered, Keefe answered: “Man. We don’t need to discuss that. We already discussed that. What are you trying to get me in jail again?”

Authorities Arrest Keefe D In Connection To 2Pac Killing

Keefe D has spoken openly about the killing of 2Pac in interviews with VladTV as well as The Art of Dialogue for years. He also released a memoir titled Compton Street Legend in 2019. In the wake of his arrest, many spoke out to criticize how long it took police to bring him in. Ice-T told AllHipHop that he doesn’t “really understand why it took law enforcement so long,” while arguing that “if I say that I’m in a car with somebody that does something, I’m part of the crime. If I go over to your house and ask you for a gun and you give it to me and I go do it, you aided and abetted the crime.”

Las Vegas police finally arrested Keefe D on September 29. He will appear in court for his arraignment on Wednesday, October 4. Be on the lookout for further updates on the case on HotNewHipHop.

Giggs Recalls Pining For Music From Behind Bars

During his recent appearance on the Rap Radar podcast, Giggs opened up about the time he spent in jail. The performer served around two years behind bars for a gun charge in back in 2003. He claims that one of the things he hated the most about serving time was the lack of access he had to music. Luckily, he was eventually able to get some CDs that his manager sent him. According to him, hearing 50 Cent had a major influence on him while he was in jail.

“That was ’03. It was all 50, G-Unit tapes,” Giggs began. “I remember I went to one jail and we couldn’t have music at all.” He continued, “I was in there for like three months and I was going crazy with no music, fam — I remember I heard one 50 tune, ‘Guns For Sale.’ I heard it on the radio one night, like half of it, I said, ‘I gotta the f*ck out of this jail. F*ck this place.’”

Giggs’ Manager Sent Him “Mad CDs”

“And I remember we got a transfer and moved to the next jail then,” he continued. “As soon as I got in the jail, I heard some yute playing some [DJ] Whoo Kid tape. I’m like, ‘Oh sh*t! Is that what I’ve been missing?’” He went on to describe urging his manager to send him music, in order to make his stay more comfortable. Fortunately, he eventually came through, sending him a ton of CDs to choose from.

“I hit [my manager] and I said: ‘Fam, just send me everything bro,’” the UK-born performer explains. “And he sent me mad CDs. I remember that was that time, like, G-Unit — and everyone had some new young buck. I remember Dipset had JR Writer. Busta – he had the youth M Dollars yute. Obviously 50, Lloyd Banks. Everyone that had that young yute with the punchlines. Cassidy [was with] Swizz. Them times was ringing.” Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Giggs.

B.G. Leaving Prison Soon, Reports Suggest He’ll Be Out In “A Few Days”

Cash Money rapper B.G. has been in prison for over a decade stemming from witness tampering and illegal gun possession charges from 2009. Moreover, the rap game often spoke on his condition before this most recent update, whether it was his collaborators or other hip-hop figures. However, new reports suggest that the Hot Boys MC will see an early release from jail, although the information is a bit murky. Specifically, theJasmineBrand spoke to allegedly close sources to him and said that he’ll be out in “a few days.” If this is true, then he would be a free man about seven months ahead of schedule as his last predicted sentence completion date was April 7, 2024.

Furthermore, as of writing this article, no official sources have spoken out about the reportedly early close to this 14-year sentence. Hopefully this is accurate information, and B.G. can return home following retribution and doing his due time responsibly. Of course, there are still plenty of reasons to take this hopefully news with a grain of salt. After all, this is far from the first time that rumors surfaced around the New Orleans native’s return, and past instances never materialized.

Most recently, though, Boosie Badazz updated fans on his status during an interview and said he’d be “released this year.” “I’m talking to him every day now,” he remarked of B.G.’s current conditions. “I got the email now. I got the email set up on my phone so I can email him. [He doesn’t have] an actual release date, but he should be home in like three, four months. They already went to the [halfway] house and checked the house where he’s coming to.

“He got a few b***hes he want,” the Baton Rogue MC continued. “He got a few celebrity crushes he want me to slide in their DM and tell ’em. I’m like, ‘Bruh, you gon’ have me in all kinda s**t!’ ‘I want her, tell that b***h she for me.’ Bruh, this n***a here.” For more news and the latest updates on B.G., stay logged into HNHH.

YSL RICO Co-Defendants Remain Behind Bars As Trial Placed On Hold Until End Of The Month

When Young Thug was first arrested in 2022, it’s unlikely he thought he’d remain behind bars over a year later. Unfortunately for the So Much Fun hitmaker, things have been moving slower than expected in the YSL RICO trial. While Gunna and others regained their freedom after taking a plea deal, Thugger has been denied bond four times now. The jury selection process began months ago. As HipHopDX reports, officials have yet to seat even one of 12 members. This is in part due to the rapper’s well-known presence in Georgia.

On Thursday (August 24), Law & Crime Network confirmed that there will be a halt in the YSL RICO hearings and proceedings until the end of the month. “Defendant Cordarius Dorsey is currently on trial for murder in an unrelated case in front of another judge,” Cathy Russon reported via Twitter. “Therefore, no more activities will happen until that case has concluded,” she added, along with an expected return date of August 31. In Russon’s accompanying video, Thug makes an appearance in the courtroom, looking crisp in a white sweater and sneakers. He briefly stops to speak with his legal team before taking a seat.

Young Thug Appears in Court for YSL RICO Update

Regardless of the time things are taking, the 32-year-old continues to move forward with confidence and optimism that he’ll soon be reunited with his friends and family. Countless other rappers have been doing their part to support the multi-talent as he’s stuck in jail. Drake is among those doing the most lately. From providing two features for Thug’s BUSINESS IS BUSINESS album to wearing a hoodie dedicated to his frequent collaborator, his love is obvious.

Elsewhere, it was recently reported that Young Thug and his co-defendants could be in some hot water. Apparently, they’ve been creating security issues for officers while awaiting their fate in jail. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

YFN Lucci Trial: New Photo Of Rapper Surfaces From Jail

Rapper YFN Lucci remains behind bars in Georgia as he awaits the start of his trial on the charges of murder and racketeering. At the time of writing, he has been incarcerated for 948 after being arrested in January 2021. However, court proceedings have been on hold for some time, leaving the rapper to languish behind bars. Meanwhile, the primary reason for Lucci’s trial delay has been the ongoing trial for Young Thug and the rest of YSL. Lucci’s trial will likely be further delayed following the indictment of former President Donald Trump, which was announced last week.

Amid all of this, an image of Lucci has been released. Dressed in a classic black and white jail jumpsuit, Lucci has dreads and looks entirely despondent. “Lucci’s trial date has been postponed. No new court date has been set,” the rapper’s attorney said earlier this week.

Lucci’s Role In YSL Case Reason For Delay

The primary reason for the delay in Lucci’s case is that Lucci is actually part of the YSL case. “YFN Lucci’s trial was due to begin January 9, same as Young Thug’s. The YFN gang and RICO case is just as wide-ranging as the YSL case,” Chidi tweeted. “The two are connected; Lucci is a witness,” tweeted journalist George Chidi. “And here we go. For clarification: Lucci is on the state’s witness list. That doesn’t mean he’s going to testify, but he could still be called. Don’t @ me with questions about snitching. I don’t care.”

However, it’s the possibility that Lucci could be called to testify means that his trial cannot start. Prosecutors would not want to begin only to be postponed if he was called to testify in the YSL case. This comes as more twists emerge in the YSL case. Last week, a warrant was ordered on the laptop of attorney Eric Johnson. Johnson had been accused of allowing one of his clients, Christian Eppinger, to use his laptop to contact people and YSL contacts outside of prison. Previously, the investigation into Eppinger’s conduct led to the arrest of a Fulton County deputy, who was reportedly in a romantic relationship with Eppinger. Given the chaotic state of the YSL trial, it’s unclear how long Lucci’s trial will remain delayed.

Tory Lanez’s Jail Situation Has Been Revealed

Tory Lanez is currently in the midst of his 10-year prison sentence. For those who don’t know, last Tuesday, Tory was sentenced to 10 years for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Overall, this was a massive sentence that a lot of fans were expecting at this point. Although some people feel like the sentence is too long, there are others who think it isn’t enough. Wherever you fall on this spectrum, there is no doubt that the artist is in for a rough decade. Whether it be in prison or the court of public opinion.

Many fans are curious as to what kind of life he will be leading in prison. When you are a celebrity, sometimes there are ways to make the prison experience more enjoyable. However, you’re still locked up, so it’s not like this is some kind of retreat. As TMZ reports, things are actually fairly lonesome right now for the artist. Although, this is mainly because he is still in the Los Angeles County Jail. He is waiting to be sent to a state prison in California. This could take up to a month, and in the meantime, Lanez has to stay put.

As for the conditions, it is being noted that he is part of the administrative segregation unit. This is simply for those who can not be part of the general population. Overall, this should not be a surprise given who Tory is. As for his free time, Tory only gets two hours outside of his cell every day. Moreover, he only gets three hours of fresh air per week. Despite all of this, Tory has a fairly loaded commissary, and he has been able to buy lots of snacks and other items.

For now, it remains to be seen how Tory’s situation will progress. Of course, it has been said that his legal team would like to appeal the judge’s decision. However, it remains to be seen how that appeal will go down. Let us know what you think of his sentence, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world.

New Pics Of Fetty Wap in Prison Emerge

It’s been a while since fans online heard from Fetty Wap himself or got any kind of updates on his condition. Now, he’s taken to his Instagram story to share an updated picture from prison. Many fans noticed that Fetty has put on some weight since the last time he appeared in public looking less than healthy. “i’m telling you all the rappers go to prison and gain healthy weight,” reads one comment. In the caption of their repost of the picture The Neighborhood Talks notes “Okay Fetty posted up in the slammer! Looks like he got his weight up.”

Others took a more humorous approach to their comments on the post. “All the rappers going to jail we gone be stuck listening to blue face” says one commentor. “It’s like n * g g a z don’t eat until they go jail,” says another. Another interesting observation is just how many of the comments are very thirsty. Cleary there’s still plenty of love for Fetty out there from his female friends and they aren’t shy about letting everyone know.

Fetty Wap Appears To Have Regained His Weight In Prison

In May of this year, Fetty Wap was sentenced to serve 6 years in prison. The sentence came from a drug-related arrest that took place back in 2021. He initially planned to fight the case in court before changing to a guilty plea last year. Recently, his baby mam reflected on what it was like taking their daughter on prison visits to see him. She contrasted the experience with what it was like to bring their daughter to see him playing massive concerts.

After the confirmation of his sentencing earlier this year, TMZ got their hands on the conditions Fetty Wap will be under for the 5 years following his release. Among the requirements are detailed financial disclosure and submitting of a DNA test. Fetty is expected to be released from prison when his original sentence expires in 2028. What do you think of Fetty Wap’s new picture from prison? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kodak Black Spotted In Memphis Following Jail Release

Kodak Black was spotted by a fan out in Memphis, Tennessee, over the weekend, following his recent release from jail. He has been booked into Broward County Jail for failing to check in for a recent drug test, late last month. He eventually got out on a $250,000 bond.

No Jumper shared a video of Kodak out and about in Memphis on Instagram, early Monday. Kodak had recently performed at a Kodak Black & Friends charity concert, last week. The show featured G Herbo, Rico Cartel, iCandy, and the rapper’s Sniper Gang collective.

Fans commented on Kodak’s lack of a flashy outfit in response to the clip. One explained: “No jewelry, no robbery, that’s a smart move. Trying to impress people with jewelry then being killed or shot over it and those same people who you trying to impress don’t give a fuck about you and won’t help you regardless.” Another echoed similar sentiments: “That’s how you supposed to move when you in them type places, Kodak can’t carry so.”

Kodak was arrested back in July 2022 on charges of trafficking in oxycodone and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, as well as driving with an expired license and tags. Afterward, the court mandated that he submit drug testing while the case was pending.

Earlier this year, Kodak missed one of his mandatory drug tests. “There’s just so much with this that’s unjust and not right about this situation,” Kodak said at the time, as noted by HipHopDX. “Not only am I denying it, but I’m hurt about it too because my character is being assassinated and I can’t speak about all that because I don’t wanna make the story bigger than what it is. Lil Yachty Says DaBaby Had A Better Verse Than JAY-Z On Kanye West’s “Jail”

Lil Yachty says that DaBaby outperformed JAY-Z on Kanye West’s track, “Jail,” off of Donda. While JAY is featured on the original version of the song, DaBaby adds a verse in “Jail pt 2,” which comes later in the album’s tracklist. Yachty discussed both verses during an appearance on the A Safe Place podcast.

“Something I’ve wanted to talk about for a long time is the song ‘Jail’ from Kanye West,” Lil Yachty told MitchGoneMad. “In my personal opinion, I think DaBaby had a better verse.”

From there, Yachty admitted that the comments could land him in hot water with fans. “I know the conversation of Jay-Z versus DaBaby is ins*ne, but I honestly think his verse was better… I feel that’s gonna get me a lot of heat anyway. Maybe not as heated as the whole Biggie situation I dealt with in 2016,” he said. Check out his appearance on A Safe Place below.

Yachty was referencing a time when he labeled The Notorious B.I.G. as “overrated.” He ended up receiving so much backlash at the time that he eventually walked back his comments. Appearing on Ebro’s Beats 1 show, he said: “I feel like I owe an apology. I didn’t think before I spoke on that topic. I know now how important and just how serious it is to some people. I didn’t want people thinking that I was disrespecting him because it wasn’t a disrespect thing.”

Lil Yachty Discusses Kanye West’s “Jail”

Kanye West’s “Jail” went on to win Best Rap Song at the 64th Grammy Awards while Donda as a whole took home nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album. In addition to DaBaby, “Jail pt 2” also features vocals from Marilyn Manson.
