Ja Rule Continues To Reflect On 50 Cent & G-Unit Beef Amid Drake & Kendrick Lamar Feud

If you’re a rapper and you haven’t talked about the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef yet, you’re either missing out on some clicks or avoiding feeding into feud narratives that only benefit the powers that be. However, some expert voices feel like they almost have to weigh in, and one veteran in rap spats recently reflected on his biggest battle. Moreover, Ja Rule recently responded to a fan on Twitter who was referencing his rivalry with 50 Cent and the rest of G-Unit. This came up as a result of discussion around K.Dot and The Boy’s current head-to-head, and the Murder Inc. affiliate reminisced on how things were just different back then.

“They said @50cent had ja rule seeing 20,” one fan responded to Ja Rule’s expression that he can relate to Drake being in a “20v1.” “[G-Unit] literally had an ORDER OF PROTECTION against murder Inc… can you imagine if one of the camps in this beef right now put an order of protection on the other… [laughing face emojis].” Still, the New York MC also had some more nuanced and communal perspectives to share on the beef. “Hip hop is a family… and no one wins when the family feuds!!! Don’t let that go over your head… #hiphopvseverybody,” he had ironically tweeted a day before speaking on his nemesis 50 Cent.

Ja Rule Thinks His 50 Cent Feud Looked Way Different From Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s Current Spat

As for that historical spat, here’s how Steve Stoute broke down how the 50 Cent and Ja Rule war began. “I think 50 knew that Ja was not who he was portraying as an image,” he remarked on Club Shay Shay. “Ja [was a] Jehovah’s Witness… I’m not saying they not supposed to rap, but Ja was coming up with this gangster image. It was like, ‘That’s a stretch for you,’ they had some very neighborhood beef. I remember when we signed 50 there was something going on. I think he snatched Ja’s chain, or somebody snatched somebody’s… And then they had a fight in Atlanta… And it was just like, I never understood it.”

Meanwhile, Ja thinks that this is a one-sided feud, and that he actually beat 50 in a fight during all this back-and-forth. How do you think their battle compares to Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s? Whatever the case, let us know what you interpret down in the comments section below. Also, log back into HNHH for the latest updates and more news on Ja Rule and 50 Cent.

Yesterday marked a significant milestone in the journey towards global education as Hip Hop icon Ja Rule, in partnership with Pencils of Promise (PoP), spearheaded the Jeff and Aisha Atkins Groundbreaking Ceremony at the Nuaso Anglican Basic School in Ghana. This collaborative effort between Ja Rule (Jeffrey Atkins), his wife Aisha, and PoP showcases their shared commitment to supporting quality education for children worldwide.

The event, held in the Nuaso community in the Eastern region of Ghana, celebrated the groundbreaking of new school facilities aimed at providing safe and conducive learning environments for primary school students in grades K-6. The Nuaso region has long grappled with inadequate and unsafe learning conditions due to makeshift classrooms. In response, PoP and Ja Rule joined forces with the local government and community to initiate the construction of new school facilities, with the Nuaso community contributing through labor and materials.

The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer by religious leader Venerable Kofi Obeng Ofosu, followed by a warm welcome statement from Municipal Education Director Mr. Samuel K. Tettey. PoP CEO Kailee Scales delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the organization’s global impact on education and its focus on collaborative community development and empowerment. Ja Rule expressed his personal commitment to the cause, emphasizing the importance of creating educational opportunities for children worldwide.

“Many children in rural parts of the world experience significant barriers to their basic human right to primary school education. PoP is so proud to partner with Ja Rule and Aisha Atkins in our shared commitment to help ensure every child has access to the safe, healthy and engaging school experience they deserve,” said CEO Kailee Scales.

Freeman Gobah, PoP Ghana Country Director, shed light on PoP’s initiatives and achievements in Ghana, acknowledging the support of stakeholders in the 202 communities reached by PoP Ghana.

The event garnered attendance from education officials, government representatives, and local elders, including Lower Manya Krobo MP The Honorable Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, MCE Lower Manya Honorable Simon Kweku Tetteh, and Mark Okraku-Mantey, Deputy Minister of Tourism, among others. The program featured captivating cultural displays by students and community members, culminating in a traditional groundbreaking ceremony symbolized by pickaxes and shovels. Traditional drumming, speeches, and spoken word pieces in the local dialect added to the cultural richness of the event.

Ja Rule’s commitment to education is evident through his co-founding of L.I.F.E., a non-profit organization aimed at providing youth with extracurricular outlets and educational incentives. His personal pursuit of knowledge, exemplified by his completion of Harvard Business School’s online certification program for Entrepreneurship Essentials, underscores his dedication to prioritizing education over incarceration. In 2023, Ja Rule was honored at PoP’s 15th anniversary Gala with the Audacious Award for his role as a disruptor and advocate of social change.

In related news, Ja Rule spoke with Piers Morgan about not being admitted to Britain for a set of shows. But his comments about Diddy are grabbing the culture’s attention.

During the conversation with Morgan, Ja Rule says Diddy is “another Black man in the industry going through unfortunate circumstances” and “I wish him luck with everything he is going through.”

Ja would then direct his attention to the victims and offer them wishes.

Morgan asked Rule if this was a sign of a moment of reckoning in the rap industry. Rule stated he didn’t know, deeming the entire situation unfortunate.

Ja Rule & 50 Cent Beef: Ja Recalls Allegedly Beating Fif During Fight, Says Feud Is “One-Sided”

Ja Rule might not be able to perform his shows in the U.K. as planned, but that’s not stopping the East Coast icon from talking to some of their most prominent media figures. On Tuesday (March 5), Ja appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored, at which time the controversial had plenty of burning questions about another popular New Yorker, 50 Cent. When asked who would win in a fight between him and Fif, the “Always On Time” artist reminded us that he allegedly already knows the answer to that.

“That’s happened already too, Piers. You gotta do your research,” Ja called out Morgan. “I did, Piers,” the rhymer added when asked who came out on top. Afterward, JR referred to his drama with 50 as “one-sided.” He said, “You never see me say anything about him. I just mind my business, do my business… I don’t do the back and forth.” Instead of taking the British interviewer up on his opportunity to send a message out to Curtis Jackson, Ja simply said that he wishes him well. As HipHopDX notes, the Fyre Festival founder’s comments take place around the 12:20 mark of the video below.

Ja Rule Speaks with Piers Morgan

In his 2014 book, Ja says he once beat Fif up with a bat during the peak of their 2000 feud. “50 tried to swing on me, but I dipped, then I hit him with the baby Louisville Slugger. Bam! I dropped the bat, I pulled the shirt over his head. I started catching him left, right, uppercut,” he claimed.

In other news, 50 Cent has some legal drama with Young Buck to deal with as winter comes to a close. The former G-Unit rapper is attempting to evade the $250K that Fif claims he’s owed with help from his attorneys, but we’re not sure who will come out on top when all is said and done. Did Joe Budden Or Ja Rule Have The Better “It Up” Song? Fans Debate

Joe Budden and Ja Rule were two big figures in 2000s East Coast hip-hop, and they really represent the era in hindsight. Of course, the latter was certainly more commercially successful than the former, but they still inhabit rap culture today as emblematic rappers of the time. Thanks to a new post on the Joe Budden TV community on social media around Tuesday (February 20), fans of both are now debating which one had the better hit with “It Up” in the title. What wins: Budden’s 2003 cut “Pump It Up” or Rule’s 2001 record “Livin’ It Up”? Moreover, fans seem split on the decision, and there was plenty of appreciation for both.

“Depends on the crowd,” one fan shared in the Joe Budden and Ja Rule debate. “Pump it up hit on the dance floor but any other setting living it up get all ages moving.” “Joe got it on this one (comfortably I might add) but man did Ja have a run,” another conceded. “stop playin on Joe’s name lol. pump it up was/is WAY better,” a user argued, with a big Ja fan adding: “Dawg you must’ve forgot the living it up hook vocals + the beat.” Check out some more reactions and arguments in the comments of the post below.

Joe Budden’s “Pump It Up” Or Ja Rule’s “Livin’ It Up”? Fans Debate Under Post Below

In other news, Ja Rule recently reflected on how he kind of regrets taking a break from music ahead of his comeback album. “Damn sitting here listening to my new album 12 songs in, it’s making me a lil sad I should’ve never stopped making music. I’m SORRY… #CWWTST.” We wonder if Joe Budden shared this sentiment when it comes to his own career, but considering his wide media success and notoriety these days, it’s probably not such a big regret.

Speaking of which, the former Everyday Struggle host is still going strong with his podcast. On he and his crew’s latest episode, they reviewed Vultures, the first in a supposed series of collaborative albums from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign. Regardless of that, let us know where you fall on the “Pump It Up” and “Livin’ It Up” debate in the comments section down below. Also, log back into HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Ja Rule and Joe Budden.

Ja Rule & Hitmaka Join Forces For Studio Session

Ja Rule and Hitmaka recently linked up for a studio session, which means there could be some new heat coming from them in the near future. Unfortunately, the clip doesn’t have any sound, so we don’t really know for sure what style or approach they vibed to in the booth. However, we do know that the producer is very versatile and amassed a lot of hits (it’s in the name, folks…), so we’re sure that there could be some great chemistry with the New York rapper. In fact, considering that Ja has another album on the way, hopefully this ends up being one of many beatsmith links that he partook in for its creation.

Furthermore, Hitmaka’s still keeping busy with his career, even if some potential beef with King Harris, T.I., and Tiny might get in the way of a possible collab. Regardless, we can only guess as to what this new work with Ja Rule could sound like, especially considering their storied artistry. Will they tackle flashy, old-school 2000s beats to evoke the previous era or will we see the MC ride more contemporary production? Either way, these career revitalizations are always a treat to see in hip-hop, even if the results can sometimes make this hype vanish. Fingers crossed for this one!

Hitmaka & Ja Rule Cooking Up

Of course, we know that Ja Rule is very confident in his skills and success, as he thinks no top 50 rappers list is complete without him. “I’m not a hater,” he said of Billboard and VIBE‘s top 50 MCs list, which left him off, during a recent appearance on The Tamron Hall Show. “Congrats to everyone on the list. [But] these lists, they’re meaningless because music is subjective. You like who you want to like, you know everybody has their favorite artist… But my thing was: this is a list comprised by Billboard. They do numbers and statistics, if I’m not mistaken. Okay so, that list is impossible to make without Ja Rule being on it -–statistically impossible.

“There are artists that don’t have number one records, don’t have number one albums,” the “Always On Time” spitter continued. “I’m not knocking anybody on the list because, like I said, music is subjective… And when it comes to some of the older artists, you kind of got to go by different metrics because they didn’t have the sales. So I get that, but I said what I said.” For more news and the latest updates on Hitmaka and Ja Rule, stay posted on HNHH.

Ja Rule Offers Ashanti Parenting Advice Amid Pregnancy Rumors

Frequent Ja Rule collaborator Ashanti is currently the subject of a lot of pregnancy rumors floating around the Internet, and he has some advice for the potentially expecting parent. Still, when TMZ caught up with him on Thursday (January 18) in New York City, he did not confirm nor deny that there was any truth behind this speculation. Regardless, the Queens rapper had a pretty simple but important suggestion that he thinks is crucial for the singer’s successful parenting life. “You just gotta love ’em, man,” he told the cameras. “Tell ’em you love ’em every day. That goes far!”

Meanwhile, Ja Rule is among many folks online who weren’t really surprised by Ashanti reconnecting with her flame Nelly. “You can tell sometimes when women -– they want that old thing back,” he explained on The Tamron Hall Show recently. “I don’t want to blow sis up. But the chemistry was there. And I think for both of them it came back quick. So I think they missed each other. It had to be that way because of the way they just clicked and came back so fast.”

Ja Rule’s Advice To Potential Parents Ashanti & Nelly: Watch

Elsewhere during this brief TMZ talk, Ja Rule also indicated that his upcoming album, his first in over a decade, will cover “all” of his different styles, eras, and skillsets. That’s pretty exciting news, especially considering how long he’s been in the game to soak new things in and stick to his guns. But the 47-year-old will have to balance out all these timelines with the current generation, whether or on wax or with competing releases, so it’ll be interesting to see how he adapts. After all, he thinks no top 50 rappers list is complete without him, and he’s got to prove it.

Meanwhile, what do you think of the lyricist’s advice for his “Always On Time” partner? Do you think there’s any truth to these rumors or are we all wasting our time speculating when she and Nelly just enjoy life together? However you may feel, let us know by dropping your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Ashanti and Ja Rule.

Ja Rule’s New Label Deal “Worth $100 Million,” He Alleges While Telling “Haters” To “SMD”

After the fallout he faced from the Fyre Festival fiasco of 2017, some thought Ja Rule’s career would never recover. However, the embattled rapper has made significant strides in turning his life around since then, and now has high hopes of rising to the top of the music industry again. Early on Thursday (January 4), Ja logged onto Twitter/X to share some exciting news with his fanbase. “Just signed my new label deal, potentially worth a hundred mill… [Let’s f**king go!!!].” the 47-year-old began, before taking shots at anyone that’s been praying for his downfall recently.

“Thanks for the love, and to the haters, [suck my d**k],” he declared. Minutes later, in another post, Ja shared what vibes he plans to be on in the new year. “Here’s what’s needed to be understood for 24. HATE is for suckers and dick riding is NOT a form of transportation. Lmao, it’s getting you nowhere… Stop being goofy and get money!!! That’s what Ja thinks.” Less than an hour later, the “Mesmerize” artist reminded us he’s still got it when it comes to rhyming.

Ja Rule is Feeling Proud of His Recent Accomplishments

“B**ch ni**as hate, real ones congratulate,” the father of three told the world. Afterward, he encourage those who support him to go a bit harder when defending his name, like the Barbz do for Nicki Minaj. “I need them a**hole fans that go at [people’s] head for talking bad on my name. Lmao, my fans not sav*ge enough,” Ja observed, prompting many to come forward with stories of them sticking up for one of their favourite rappers, both on and offline. “I been defending you since the 6th grade… I’m 33 now, still defending you lol,” someone told him beneath his tweet. “People hate when I say without Ja there would be no Drake.”

As he continues to prepare his first album since 2012’s PIL 2, Ja Rule’s confidence is evident. He’s already making his presence felt online this year, and longtime fans of the East Coast icon are celebrating the anniversary of one of his biggest hits – “Always On Time” with Ashanti.
