Kodak Black Says He Has Enough Songs With Drake To Potentially Make An Album

It was just a month ago that Kodak Black made a trio of surprise appearances on Kendrick Lamar’s fifth album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Due to the rapper’s controversial past, many thought that a collaboration between him and Kendrick would never come to fruition, but as we saw last month, that was far from the case. On Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Kodak appears on “Worldwide Steppers,” “Rich (Interlude),” and “Savior,” but now, the Florida native is looking to share some music with another rap superstar: Drake.

“Me and Drake we got some more music,” Kodak said during a press conference for his Kodak Black Day music festival in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida. “It’s really on whenever bruh might feel like he ready and stuff.” He added, “They be like, ‘Is we gone drop the album? We gon’ do this?’ It’s really on him. We got a lot of songs though.”

Kodak’s past collaborations with Kendrick and his possible releases with Drake continues the trend of the rapper receiving love from some of the industry’s biggest names. Jay-Z included Kodak on his memorial Day playlist for Tidal and Future recruited him for an appearance on his I Never Liked You album.

You can watch Kodak talk about his collaborations with Drake in the video above.

Future’s ‘I NEVER LIKED YOU’ Album and “Puffin On Zootiez” Single Goes Gold

Future I Never Liked You 2022

Future is racking up RIAA certifications. I NEVER LIKED YOU, his chart-topping No. 1 album, has already gone gold, and the fan-favorite “PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ” has also gone gold.

Future is the fifth artist in history to debut at #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200, with I NEVER LIKED YOU topping the 200 and “WAIT FOR U” topping the Hot 100. He landed a #1 US and Global A on Spotify’s Top Songs Debut USA Chart, as well as a #1 US and Global A.

Previously, Future’s “Wait For U” featuring Drake and Tems made a debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The single is Future’s second No. 1, Drake’s No. 10, and the first for Tems.

“Wait For U” was the 1,137th No. 1 single in Hot 100 and had 40.2 million streams. In addition, the single had 7.9 million radio airplay audience impressions and 6,400 downloads. “Wait for U” has now gone Platinum.

With the top spot, Drake is the 10th act in the Hot 100 history to hit No. 1. For solo male acts, Billboard notes Drake joins Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.

Already one of the hottest songs of the year, Future’s “Wait For U” featuring Drake and Tems receives a video in the form of a story of a Toxic King. The video from the I NEVER LIKED YOU album shows Future as a medieval king headed to war. Additional scenes show Future on the battlefield and toasting with his kingdom, but keeping his leading lady in mind.

To make it even better, Drake pulls up like a knight, riding a horse, and fights off two burly guys holding a woman hostage. Just when it looks like Drake would be overpowered, the woman helps him.

Enjoy this fine piece of Hip-Hop cinema above. “I am goodeth beloved. Enjoyeth.”

DJ Khaled Hints That Drake Will Be On His Next Album

drake dj khaled

DJ Khaled already expressed he’s in “album mode,” and lately, he’s been dropping hints of who will be on it Anthem. The newest hint is that Drake will have a spot.

While in Miami, Khaled and Busta Rhymes sat at dinner, and the waiter revealed that “Drake did it.”

The question is, what did Drake do? Well, in every other video Khaled posted with artists who “did it,” it meant that the artist completed their verse for Anthem.

Other artists who “did it” for Khaled are 21 Savage, Future, and Lil Baby.

There isn’t a timetable for Anthem, but this will be the We The Best Music Group CEO’s follow-up to his Khaled album. The album featured Drake, Jay-Z, Cardi B, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, and more.

Khaled debuted with 93,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending May 6, according to MRC Data. The album also earned him his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Drake and DJ Khaled have collaborated in the past, and they were all bangers. Their most recent collaborations came in 2020. Both “POPSTAR” and “GREECE” debuted in the top 10 Billboard Hot 100, landing at No.3 and No.6. Both records also went double platinum.

Drake and DJ Khaled’s relationship has always resulted in bangers. “I’m On One,” “No New Friends,” and “For Free” are all hits. Now we’re getting another one because Drake did it again.

Drake Sits Courtside to Support J.Cole at His Canadian Basketball Game

FUcxjelWQAAYmO3

In the Hip-Hop world, Drake is a person we would call a “real one.” Not only did the Canadian superstar help land J.Cole a roster spot on the Scarborough Shooting Stars in The Canadian Elite Basketball League, but the 6 God came to support his boy.

Drake sat courtside Saturday night at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, wearing a J.Cole jersey. Unfortunately, Cole and The Shooting Stars fell to the Honey Badgers, 69-84. It marked the team’s third loss of its inaugural season.

Cole landed a deal with the Shooting Stars in May. In his first game, the guard, who stands at 6-foot-3-inches, made a corner 3-pointer en route to a  98-81 win over the Ottawa BlackJacks.

Lil Yachty Says Drake Wrote His ‘Churchill Downs’ Verse For Jack Harlow In 11 Minutes

Lil Yachty sat down with DJ Akademiks for an episode of Off The Record on June 4 to discuss many things, namely whether Migos is really splitting up. In the midst of their conversation, Drake came up as well, which lead to the “Minnesota” artist revealing Drake told him he wrote his “Churchill Downs” verse, which appears on Jack Harlow’s sophomore album Come Home The Kids Miss You, in just 11 minutes.

Akademiks, a known OVO stan, became consumed with excitement and mentioned a clip on social media where Harlow is looking over the Six God’s shoulder as he is typing on his phone. Yachty seemed uncertain as to whether the verse was being written in the said clip, but allowed Akademiks to continue waxing poetic on “one of the best verses of the last ten years” before comically stating he gets too excited when discussing Drake.

“Churchill Downs” leaked a few weeks before Jack Harlow’s album was released and sent social media into a frenzy due to being yet another exceptional Drake verse loaded with supposed shots at his (former?) rival Pusha T. Listeners did not hesitate to compare his verse to the “First Class” artist’s either, likening the experience to one Drake had early in his career on “Light Up” with Jay-Z. Last week, Harlow and Drake officially released the “Churchill Downs” video starring Boi-1da, Bryson Tiller, and more living the good life at the Kentucky Derby.

Lil Yachty Says Drake Only Needed 11 Minutes to Write “Churchill Downs” Verse

Drake’s “Churchill Down” bars are already up there in the conversation for the verse of the year. His lengthy float stole the show on Jack Harlow’s Come Home The Kids Miss You album, and there is an interesting fact about it.

Appearing on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast, Lil Yachty said he learned that Drake wrote that entire verse in just 11 minutes while on vacation with Harlow.

PETA heard those bars and was unfazed. The animal rights organization calls out Jack Harlow for glamorizing horseracing and the Kentucky Derby in his new Drake-assisted single and video “Churchill Downs.” PETA notes the winner of the race was struck in the face and that three horses die on U.S. race tracks every day. In addition, PETA is calling out Harlow to donate the funds from the song to take care of horses cast aside by the industry, which can reach up to 7,500 horses a year.

“Jack Harlow’s glamorized portrayal of horse racing is missing the whips, drugs, and deaths rampant in the industry,” says PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo. “Profiting from the abuse of others is never acceptable, and PETA is calling on Jack Harlow to pony up and pay for the care of American Thoroughbreds who would otherwise be shipped to foreign slaughterhouses.”

At this year’s Kentucky Derby, the winning Thoroughbred Rich Strike began biting the man on horseback, leading him to the winner’s circle. Rich Strike was likely in a frenzy after being whipped and forced to race along with the pandemonium of the winner’s circle. The man continually beat Rich Strike instead of allowing him time to calm down.

PETA uncovers that trainers employ mixtures of medications to enhance horses’ performance and force them to gallop despite agonizing ailments, which increases the danger of catastrophic breakdowns, in a video narrated by Succession star James Cromwell. When horses quit making money, their owners get rid of them.
