Yasiin Bey and Drake have been embroiled in a bit of a feud as of late. Overall, it all started when Bey came out and said that Drizzy’s music is “compatible with shopping.” Although what he said made sense, there were many fans who were a bit offended. Furthermore, Drake himself was pretty upset with the comments as he went on more than a couple of Instagram story rants. Having said all of that, it seemed like the two men were past all of this. After all, Drizzy has other fish to fry as Megan Thee Stallion is dissing him now.

Well, on Monday night, Bey came through with an apology for the Canadian MC. While speaking in front of his phone, the legend rapper offered some nice words for Drake, while clarifying that he wishes the artist would use his talent for more politically-charged raps. “Drake, if you’d like to speak to me directly, you can at any point,” Yasiin Bey began. “I reached out to [Dave] Chappelle, actually reached out to you. I DM’d you. You are a very talented MC, but for me, I require more of myself and others than just talent or charm or charisma — particularly in times of urgent crisis. And what I would like to see in terms of creators or creative people in the world, as it relates to our culture, is for people to connect with us beyond the jukebox or the dance floor.”

Drake Ghosted Yasiin Bey?

He eventually finished off the apology by saying, “A fair-weather friend can hardly be called a friend at all. The people who party with you — that’s cool. But will they show up for you when you’re at the triage?” Subsequently, fans began to clown on the apology due to Bey’s presence in front of the camera. The angle and the tone of the apology seemed forced in the eyes of some. This led to all kinds of jokes about how Drake put in a call to J Prince. HoneyKomb Brazy Issues An Apology To J. Prince Jr.

HoneyKomb Brazy recently called out J. Prince Jr. over some label issues with Rap-A-Lot, as well as making claims that he got slapped. It’s a bit of an unclear feud, as social media spats tend to be, but it seems to have ended before things really even started. Moreover, he took to his Instagram this week to issue an apology to the rap mogul’s son for his actions. Not only that, but the rapper fully admitted that he’s in the wrong here, and hopes that they can talk face-to-face soon. Despite Brazy’s other beefs, it’s heartening to see him want to make things right, if only for the inspiration it can give us to do the same in our lives.

HoneyKomb Brazy’s Apology To J. Prince Jr.: Read

“I just be in brazy mode sometimes but I apologize to u fr,” HoneyKomb Brazy went on. “N we ain’t going to never do that no more cause that’s was really some b**ch s**t on my end. I admit that now. @jprincejr need to catch that flight so we can talk face to face.” Furthermore, this is especially heartening because the MC’s faced a lot of violence and tragic ends to conflicts throughout his life, ones that are nice to see him avoid. For example, his grandparents tragically died in a house fire over a Facebook post relating to his relations with OMB Peezy.

He defended criticism of Drake’s new album For All The Dogs, spoke on a distant but amicable relationship with Rick Ross, and started some new beef with Gillie Da Kid. During his most recent Clubhouse appearance, Stunna reflected on a bridge that helped him become a pivotal executive and figure in the rap game. Moreover, that credit goes to J. Prince, whom he called a mentor in the early days of his career. Most importantly, Baby revealed how, before he signed with Universal for $30 million in 1998, Cash Money almost belonged to the Houston icon’s Rap-A-Lot Records.

Birdman Reflects On Almost Getting Cash Money Signed To J. Prince’s Rap-A-Lot Records

“I wanted to sign with J. Prince but he didn’t have the structure to sign me,” Birdman continued. “What I respect about it, he said, ‘Y’all go do y’all because I can’t do it.’ That’s what I honored about it. He told me, ‘Go ‘head man, I can’t do it.’” Of course, that Universal deal ended up being a blessing for the New Orleans native, kickstarting a dominant label and collective in rap music. Last month on The 85 South Show, the 54-year-old spoke on being an up-and-coming Southern label and how that was tough to maintain back in the day- and how it all paid off.

“The East and the West was the last two places that would embrace our music if you were from the South,” he stated. “It’s always been a competitive thing for us with them. ’Cause they felt like they was better than us and we felt like we was better than them, especially in our neck of the woods, the South. You’ll have a hit in the South and it’ll take a long time to hit in the East and the West. But once they caught onto us like it is now, I don’t think they’ll ever get it back. J Prince Believes It’s ‘A Good Idea’ That NBA YoungBoy Takes Drake Off His ‘Enemy List’

Despite being on house arrest in Utah, Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been menacing the rap world for the past several weeks, taunting would-be rivals like Lil Durk, Soulja Boy, and Drake. And while it appears they’ve mostly ignored his attention-baiting antics, there’s at least one person who took him seriously enough to take action.

However, unfortunately for fans of rap beef, J. Prince decided to put YoungBoy and Drake on a video chat to see if they could work out their differences. The Houston rap impresario posted a photo of himself with the young rapper, detailing how he encouraged him to take Drake off his “enemy list.”

“As you all can see, I had a good time kicking it with the homies in Utah,” he wrote.

On behalf of the lil Homie YB, me and my brother Birdman were able to have a real conversation face to face. We talked about the past, the present, and the future. But most importantly, we left each other with a mutual respect moving forward. Even though I wasn’t there for a meeting with bird man I must say the lord works in mysterious ways. With that being said, I must address the song where my name and drakes name were mentioned. To the lil homie, as I said to you privately, I say to you publicly that Drake is my son, he roll with me. Therefore, I think it’s a good idea to take him off your enemy list because the truth of the matter is that we got nothing but love for [Lil] Durk and your accomplishments. When I put Drake on that facetime call with you, my intent was for y’all to move forward, not backward. “Two things we get every day is a chance and a choice. The choices we make determine our destination.

The trouble appeared to stem from NBA YoungBoy’s new mixtape, Richest Opp, which featured the song “F**K The Industry Pt. 2.” The “How To Rob”-style track found the prolific spitter calling out names. While most of his ire was directed at Lil Durk, it seemed Drake’s association with the Chicago rapper was enough to earn a dismissive bar or two.

“B*tch, I send them hitters to hit at you, boy, don’t say sh*t to me / Talk to Drake ‘cross FaceTime, he wasn’t feelin’ me,” he raps on the song. “Told me that he f*ck with Durk, damn, that sh*t was gettin’ to me / Told me that he like the sh*t I’m doin’, but can’t do sh*t with me / So when we cross our ways, f*ck what you say, b*tch, you my enemy.”

To be fair, Drake already takes enough heat for his associations with Chris Brown and Baka Not Nice, one of whom is on his label. With YoungBoy’s seeming inability to keep himself out of trouble for 6 consecutive months at a time, that’s one collab the Canadian just might continue to avoid.

J. Prince Warns NBA Youngboy After Dissing Drake: “He Rolls With Me”

Who knew the feud between NBA Youngboy and Lil Durk would somehow involve Drake? In the midst of speculation of an album showdown, YB released “F**k The Industry Pt. 2” where he addressed a number of individuals, including Lil Wayne’s protegé. “Talked to Drake ‘cross FaceTime, he wasn’t feelin’ me/ Told me that he fuck with Durk, damn, that shit gettin’ to me/ Told me that he like the shit I’m doin’, but can’t do shit with me/ So when we cross our ways, fuck what you say, bitch, you my enemy,” YB raps on the song.

Apparently, this required J. Prince’s intervention. Birdman seemingly set up a meeting in Utah between the Rap-A-Lot boss and the Richest Opp rapper where they could hash out their differences. “On behalf of the lil Homie YB, me and my brother Birdman were able to have a real conversation face to face,” J. Prince wrote in the caption. “We talked about the past, the present, and the future. But most importantly, we left each other with a mutual respect moving forward.”

J. Prince: Take Drake Off Your Enemy List

Prince explained that he wasn’t there to meet with Birdman but felt compelled to publicly speak on “F*ck The Industry Pt. 2.” “To the lil homie, as I said to you privately, I say to you publicly that Drake is my son, he roll with me,” he added. “Therefore, I think it’s a good idea to take him off your enemy list because the truth of the matter is that we got nothing but love for Durk and your accomplishments. When I put Drake on that facetime call with you, my intent was for y’all to move forward, not backwards.”

Both NBA Youngboy and J. Prince have exchanged words in the past, largely due to the latter’s public declaration of retrieving YB’s stolen car keys. In response, NBA Youngboy scolded Prince for sharing an Instagram post about the matter. “It’s plenty ways to get in touch with me,” YB said on Instagram at the time. “I’m good on them keys, gangsta. When you buy that shit cash, two keys come with the car anyways. Mind your fuckin’ business, mane.” Hopefully, the recent meeting maintains the peace between NBA Youngboy and J. Prince.

After J. Prince posted a picture alongside Quality Control Music CEO Pierre “P” Thomas, it seems like Offset wasn’t having it. Moreover, the rapper took to social media to send what appear to be subliminal shots at one or both of them, who also posed with Larry Hoover affiliate Johnny “Crusher” Jackson. “Congratulations to both of the homies that are making big moves where they’re from Chicago and Atlanta. Keep doin what you doin the real recognize the real,” the Rap-A-Lot Records founder captioned his post.

Then, the Migos MC seemingly fired at them via Twitter and Instagram. “I hate you n***as with all my heart,” he tweeted, and another Story post also ruffled feathers. “Fake love a mf smh.” In addition, Wack 100 called out J. Prince for clout chasing, as the picture was apparently taken back in 2021. “SWIPE LEFT @jprincerespect CLOUT CHASING AT ITS FINEST,” he wrote on Instagram with phot evidence. “NEGRO DONT POST THIS LIKE ITS GOOD . THIS PIC WAS TOOK 2021 WHEN IT WAS GOOD NOT 4 HRS AGO MORE LIKE 18 MONTHS AGO.” For those unaware, Offset’s beef with Quality Control stems from contract issues regarding his new music. On the other hand, tensions with J. Prince rose after Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston following a party for J. Prince Jr.

“This Offset dude. I ain’t gon’ leave him out,” J. Prince said in his callout of the rapper on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast. “I’m just real like this.
