Travis Scott Delivers A Long-Winded But Wholesome Birthday Toast To James Harden

Travis Scott and James Harden were broing it up last night in Las Vegas, according to Sportskeeda. The Houston rapper and the Los Angeles-bred NBA star guard have been close pals for quite some time. Their relationship grew, especially when the Arizona State product played for the Scott’s hometown Rockets. In fact, James Harden describes his relationship with the Cactus Jack label head as one that betters them both. “We’ve grown a friendship, a friendship that’s grown pretty tight. We talk very, very often… give each other confidence”, Harden explained in 2019.

We talk about how we can be better in our own class. It’s really grown to be a real brotherhood and a friendship. It’s pretty dope”. Well, it seems that last night was an accumulation of all of that time as friends because Travis heaped tons of love and praise on James during a birthday toast, according to DJ Akademiks. The Los Angeles Clipper guard turned 35 yesterday and invited La Flame, as well as many other high-profile guests. In Harden’s post from the bash, Lil Baby, former teammate Kevin Durant, Michael Rubin, and presumably many others were in attendance as well.

Scott can be a pretty awkward dude, but it makes this speech about his “brother” all the more wholesome. “I just want everybody to go to the next level for the greatest human of all time. If you’re only here, we’re only here to celebrate the best of the best….”, he began. “This my greatest friend of all time and I just want everybody to please, if you don’t throw up, then just have a good time till your hands and feet can work no more. If you have a shot in your hand, I need you to raise that glass to the highest of the highest, we only here to have a good time, not a long time. To the best man of all time, to my best friend, my brother”, Scott lovingly concluded. You can tell they have a real bond, and we hope it continues for a long time.

Tasha K’s Pregnancy Reveal Leads To Brutal Jokes About Her Debts

Congratulations are in order for Tasha K, who recently revealed that she’s expecting a child. However, not everyone has the same sympathy, as social media reacted to this news by harshly bringing up all of her celebrity conflicts and her various lawsuits for allegedly defamatory comments. The commentator has beef with plenty of public figures who have blasted her claims and perspective in the past, and accumulated a lot of debt thanks to judgements in cases involving Cardi B and others. As such, folks online joked that this child would be born with a lot of debt too, which is quite the mean thing to tease about.

Still, fans pointed to how Tasha K has spoken on other celebrities and their children like Chrisean Jr., so they think that it’s all fair game to clown her amid this joyous occasion. Still, she did get a recent win in court, so maybe things will really turn around and pick up for her moving forward. The court will apparently dismiss R. Kelly’s lawsuit against Tasha and the U.S. government, which he filed last November due to allegedly leaked information. Check out reactions to her pregnancy announcement in the comments section of the Instagram post below.

Tasha K Is Pregnant: See Reactions In The Comments

Elsewhere, another Tasha K win came against Bishop Lamar Whitehead, who had sued her for $360 million for alleged defamation concerning his property purchases. He’s currently in prison following a fraud conviction, and we don’t know if anything else will come of this saga other than some likely gloating over the case’s dismissal. These wins are stacking up, and with this pregnancy announcement in mind, the gossip blogger must be feeling quite happy these days despite fans’ attacks. However, that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t still have a big stack of legal problems, which we will probably see develop in the near future.

For example, Soulja Boy sued her and William The Baddest for alleged defamation after William claimed to her that he and Soulja had a relationship. “I need my money ASAP,” he ranted against them on Instagram Live. “Run me my $16 million, n***a… Tasha K, run me my money too, b***h. You owe Cardi B all this money, now you owe Big Draco. Run me my motherf***ing money, y’all got me f***ed up.”

NBA YoungBoy Sentence: What We Know About His Reported Guilty Plea

NBA Youngboy’s become a definitive artist of this generation. However, he hasn’t been able to fulfill his potential due to the array of legal challenges he faces. During his time on house arrest, he cranked out numerous bodies of work and flooded the streets with new music as a means to make up for lost time. After spending more than two years under house arrest, the rapper reportedly entered a guilty plea to a federal gun charge, according to Billboard. This plea marks a significant development in a case that has kept him confined to his Salt Lake City mansion since 2021. Here’s what we know about the situation.

The Guilty Plea: What It Means

On Wednesday, August 14th, NBA YoungBoy informed a federal judge of his intention to plead guilty to a single count of possession of firearms by a convicted felon. This plea comes after federal prosecutors indicted the rapper in 2021. This came after a September 2020 incident in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where authorities alleged he possessed two firearms. Given his 2017 conviction for aggravated assault with a firearm, the law prohibits him from owning any guns

Since his indictment, YoungBoy has been confined under house arrest, with his trial repeatedly delayed. His legal team had been awaiting the outcome of a major gun-control case before the Supreme Court, hoping it might influence the outcome of his own case. Although the Supreme Court’s ruling was issued in June, YoungBoy’s case had not resumed before he decided to plead guilty.

Throughout his house arrest, YoungBoy’s attorneys argued that the prolonged isolation was taking a toll on his mental health. They sought to relax the restrictions, requesting that he be allowed to travel to a recording studio to continue his music career. However, in November, the judge denied most of these requests, keeping the rapper confined to his home.

The specifics of NBA YoungBoy’s guilty plea remain unclear, particularly whether it is part of a deal with prosecutors that might lead to a more lenient sentence. His legal team has not commented on whether this plea is part of a larger strategy to reduce potential penalties. However, there have been reports claiming that NBA Youngboy could face up to 10 years behind bars.

Even as this federal case approaches resolution, YoungBoy faces a fresh set of challenges in Utah. In April, while still under house arrest, authorities arrested him on charges related to an alleged “large-scale prescription fraud ring.” These new charges include identity fraud, obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, forgery, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person. After being granted release on bond in May, it remains uncertain when he will face trial on these state charges.

Musical Output During House Arrest

Despite the constraints of house arrest, NBA YoungBoy has maintained a prolific output, releasing several albums and singles that have resonated with his fans. Confined to his Salt Lake City mansion, the rapper used his home studio to create music that reflects his turbulent life and legal battles. Notable projects include Sincerely, Kentrell and Colors, both of which topped charts and solidified his status as one of the most streamed artists in the world. His ability to produce raw, emotional tracks while under legal restrictions demonstrates his resilience and dedication to his craft. The limitations of house arrest may have kept him physically isolated, but they did not stifle his creativity. Instead, YoungBoy’s music during this period has become a voice for those facing similar struggles, further deepening his connection with his audience.

NBA YoungBoy’s legal troubles have cast a long shadow over his career, but they have also contributed to his mystique and appeal. His music reflects His ongoing battles with the law, adding a layer of authenticity and raw emotion that resonates with his fans. However, these issues have also posed significant challenges, including restricted travel, limited public appearances, and the potential for long-term incarceration. While his house arrest limited his ability to perform live, it did not diminish his influence in the music industry. Yet, the constant legal scrutiny has placed a strain on his career, with the possibility of future charges threatening to derail his upward trajectory. Despite these challenges, NBA YoungBoy remains a dominant force in hip-hop, using his struggles as fuel for his art, even as the legal system continues to loom over his future.

Steve Harvey Finally Fires Back At Katt Williams With Strong Message

Steve Harvey has finally fired back at Katt Williams for the bombshell criticism he leveled at him during an appearance on Club Shay-Shay with Shannon Sharpe, earlier this year. He addressed his fellow comedian while speaking at Invest Fest in Atlanta, over the weekend. In doing so, he offered to turn their rivalry physical.

“You’ll never have a hater that’s doing better than you. Always know that,” Harvey remarked to Stephen A Smith while discussing Williams. He then joked about his fighting skills before adding: “I’d knock your short ass out.” When The Neighborhood Talk posted the clip on Instagram, fans mainly took Williams’ side in the comments section.

“He definitely feels a way. The cursing and name calling shows it. Kat never called that man out his name but he did speak truth. Truth always gets a certain type of reaction, and this is one of them,” one user wrote. Another added: “Steve you are not winning this one man… The people love Katt and Katt did not tell a lie…”

Steve Harvey Addresses Katt Williams

As for Williams’ fiery criticism, he accused Harvey of stealing his jokes from other comedians. “The same Steve that went to go watch Mark Curry do his whole sitcom and then stole everything Mark Curry had,” Williams said. “Now Steve got a sitcom where he the principal, and he wear a suit. And then he gets this high-top fade, making all Black men think he got the best lineup in the business. And it’s a man unit. Then you ask him, ‘Why you not a movie star?’ ‘I didn’t want to be a movie star.’ This the same negro that hated on Bernie [Mac] with this same thing. You couldn’t be a movie star. There are 30,000 new scripts in Hollywood every year. Not one of them asked for a country bumpkin Black dude that can’t talk good…and look like Mr. Potato Head. There ain’t none. You have to have range.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Steve Harvey and Katt Williams on HotNewHipHop.

[WATCH] Ludacris Sparks Health Concerns From Fans After Drinking Water From Frozen Ice Cap

Screenshot 2024 08 27 at 11.08.57 AM

Fans have shown concern for ATL rapper/actor Ludacris after he posted a video of him drinking water from a glacier of ice in Alaska.

Luda posted the video yesterday(August 26), showing himself on the edge of an ice cap and filling up his container with the natural ice-cold water.

“I couldn’t come here and just have a show,” Luda said. “You know I got a bucket list — or as I like to call it the fuck it list. I’ve never tasted fresh glacial water ever in my life, and this is a first. Here we go!”

Luda added in his IG caption, “Water So Good It Tastes Like GOD Made It. Well, Because He Did.”

Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr. commented on X (formerly Twitter), said, “……how long ago did he shoot this and have we been monitoring him?”

The “Move” rapper also wrote, “I see a lot of people name calling but still water is still water. Boil that shit and make it cold again” while sharing a video warning people about the danger of drinking natural glacial water.

See the video O’Shea posted HERE

In the clip, a man claims he was “literally sick for two weeks” after drinking water from a 600,000-year-old glacier, despite it being “the best water I think I’ve ever had.”

Ludacris later replied in a video posted on X and didn’t show any signs of bad health.

“Yo, for everybody asking me how that glacial water really tasted, and when I tell y’all I’m a water snob, it was the best tasting water I’ve ever had in my life,” he said.

Some diseases have been frozen in glaciers for hundreds of years and still exist in the water after it has melted. Animals called Tardigrades, which are less than a millimeter in size, can also be found in the water.

Dangerous metals such as mercury, zinc and cadmium have also been detected in glacial water.

Akbar V Offers To Defend Nicki Minaj In Court Amid Former Barbz’s Slander Lawsuit

Akbar V is one of Nicki Minaj’s strongest defenders, and she wants to make this clear in a court of law. Moreover, she recently tweeted some interesting claims concerning the Trinidadian MC’s $5 million lawsuit from a former super fan who accused her of slander and mistreatment. Apparently, Nicki has a countersuit ready to go, but that doesn’t mean that Akbar can’t contribute to her defense… Well, in the online space, at least. Moreover, she claimed to have evidence that paints this former Barb as a manipulator and as the person who instigated a lot of this complicated relationship, so we’ll see what comes of that.

“I will be going to court and telling the judge how he did this mess and how he act like he was Nicki team,” Akbar V said in defense of Nicki Minaj. “So @NICKIMINAJ give me the court date he text me several of times also i have the messages and calls. This is the same guy sent all these text messages to me then got on @ArmonWiggins space and act as if i was dogging Nicki out. Boy u are sick and had everyone thinking i was going against Nicki trying to sabotage my career and my loyalty Armon dropped u off his spaces cause of your lies.”

Akbar V Wants To Defend Nicki Minaj In Court

Elsewhere, another way in which Akbar V defended Nicki Minaj was after Latto did not call her the GOAT femcee, instead picking Lil Kim. “Lil Kim was the Goat …” Akbar’s message began. “her and foxy both had they run and did a lot for us female rappers so did eve, missy elliot , etc but what about when there was a stand still and no label wanted to sign female rappers ?

“Who came and open the door and had the longest run in history Nicki Minaj …” Akbar V posited, suggesting that the GOAT conversation is an ever-evolving one. “so let’s not say Kim is the Goat of all time because no dck grabbing it’s @NICKIMINAJ …..give that damn girl her flowers when it’s due yall don’t got to fk with each other but keep it a stack.”

C4Y Continues To Build Momentum With “SLOTH (I’S CLOSED)”

C4Y is a fresh face for us at HNHH, but the Chicago, Illinois native has been around the block for a little bit now. He’s got singles dating all the way back to 2020 and project as old as three years. Also something to note about him, is that he is always ready to drop at multiple points throughout the year. In 2021, C4Y gave fans a short, four-track EP called HAUS TAPES, Vol. 1, and OMFG. 2022 consists of B4, C4, and MONEY CARS DRANK, which has a deluxe as well. Then, in 2023 he put out Made Me Laugh and Pain Fosters Art. 2024 has yet to see an LP or EP, but C4Y might nearing one of those with the release of “SLOTH (I’S CLOSED)”.

This is the sixth single from the soon-to-be 24-year-old underground rapper and its coming on the heels of “GREED (PROMISE IM PAID)”. In fact, that track is logged as our first piece for C4Y, so we are happy to be continuing to cover his growth as an artist. Speaking of which, how would we describe his style? Well, we did cite that we hear bits and pieces of Playboi Carti and Lil Baby, previously. We would say that remains true, at least for the former on “SLOTH (I’S CLOSED)”. C4Y isn’t rocking the deep voice that Carti’s been sporting lately, but he sounds more like the latter’s earlier work. He melodically raps in a high register with help of auto-tune, but it doesn’t sound overly processed. We could see this being a new hit for C4Y thanks to the melodies he creates both with his flows and the twinkling piano leads laced into the glitzy instrumental. Hear it for yourself with the link below.
