Bernie Mac’s daughter, Je’Niece McCullough, weighed in on Katt Williams’ recent controversial interview with Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast. During the discussion, Williams accused Steve Harvey of hating on the late comedian and trying to take his role on Ocean’s 11. In response, McCullough labeled the interview “hilarious” and praised Williams for seeming like a “stand-up dude.”
“I just want people to keep in mind that my dad has been dead for fifteen years [and] I have not been fully immersed in the world of comedy… I don’t know Katt Williams — never met him. That’s one person I never did get to meet when my dad was alive,” she said. “But from everything that I’ve ever heard my dad say, he’s always seemed like a stand-up dude. So I have no qualms, no quarrels with him.”

From there, McCullough added: “Well, it’s because everybody doesn’t get along. I think that’s one of the misconceptions about comedians, and I guess it’s due to the fact that what they do brings so much joy… Everybody thinks that behind closed doors, it’s all love and nah. Katt Williams spoke about his issues with Cedric The Entertainer and Steve Harvey during his recent sit-down with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay. He explained that Cedric stole one of his jokes for the 2000 comedy special, The Original Kings of Comedy. Cedric previously addressed the allegations during a conversation with Sharpe in January 2023. At the time, he labeled the idea “ridiculous.”
When asked about those remarks, Williams said: “He thought that I was just a no-name comedian, and that he could take this joke and nobody would know. The issue was that i had already done this particular joke on BET’s ComicView twice. It had done so well… that they made it part of the commercial.”

He continued: “This is not just a random joke, this is my best joke…it’s my closing joke. 1998, I’m doing this joke…Cedric comes to The Comedy Store, he watches me in the audience, he comes backstage, he tells me what a great job I did and how much he loves the joke. Two years later, he’s doing that as his last joke on The [Original] Kings Of Comedy and he’s doing it verbatim, he just changed my car into a spaceship.” From there, Williams explained that Cedric and Harvey already apologized to him, which is why he gave them a “pass” until now. “Why would you downplay me like that?” he asked. “Why would I give you a pass If you were just gon’ lie?”

While accepting The Television Icon award at The Grio Awards, Steve spoke to Marjorie, stating, “I appreciate you riding with me.”
“That woman right there been down with me like four flat tires,” Harvey said. “That women has been faithful to me, loyal to me, 85% of what y’all up here talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there. We 18 years strong and I don’t know what y’all trying to do but we covered.”

In September, Steve Harvey defended his wife after rumors and allegations swirled online. The latest is Marjorie Harvey was the reason his previous marriage ended.
“Quit talking about she was in my other marriage and ruined it. She didn’t,” Harvey said on his morning radio show. “Marjorie and I got together in 2006. We had nothing when I asked her to marry me and wanted to get married in 2007. Do you know what I was doing in 2007? Nothing. We had four stations, we built this. This woman got down in that foxhole with me and turned this into something. In 2007 we got married, in 2008, we found out someone had stolen my tax returns and we were $22 million in debt.
“But in 2009, I got Family Feud. In 2009, the book came out. This woman got in the hole and built this with me. She ain’t steal nothing, and I’m tired of y’all talking about my girl.”
Before that, Harvey also spoke in defense of his wife after rumors of cheating hit online. Harvey addressed the rumors at Invest Fest.
“Before I get started, just let me say I’m fine,” Harvey said as he came to the stage. “We’re fine. I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do because we’re fine. Lord have mercy.”
Marjorie also added her own statement on Instagram, “My husband I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However to whom much is given much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are.”

By October 2019, signs pointed towards a split. Lori reportedly unfollowed Diddy on Instagram – a modern indicator of relationship troubles. Actress Anne Hathaway met her husband, Adam Shulman, a jewelry designer, through mutual friends at the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2008. One of the most endearing stories of celebrity-fan romance comes from Conan O’Brien. The late-night talk show spotted a beautiful audience member at a taping in 2000. That audience member was not only a fan of the show. She was advertising executive Liza Powel, whose agency was tapped to do a commercial makeover for the show. “Somewhere, in the vault at NBC, there’s footage of me falling for my wife on camera,” Conan said during a Piers Morgan interview. Conan visited the agency’s office, where he officially met Liza and immediately fell for her. He eventually married her in 2002, and the couple share two children.
Michael B. Jordan and Steve Harvey were all smiles as they caught up at the NBA Abu Dhabi Games this week. The pair were seen chatting and embracing at the event, suggesting there’s no bad blood between the two. While it’s never been implied that there’s beef, Jordan was dating Harvey’s daughter Lori until the summer of last year. While a reason for the split has never been given, Lori did mention “red flags” in several cryptic posts after the breakup went down. However, it’s also been said that Jordan was ready to settle down while Harvey wasn’t.

However, NBA games in the Middle East aren’t the only sporting antics Harvey has been up to as of late. Harvey also got in on the ribbing of Stephen A. Smith after the First Take host’s terrible first pitch at a Yankees game last month. “Brother, man, I love you, dog. But I could not believe what I saw. Listen man, I don’t know if anyone who has called in today has actually thrown out a first pitch. I have thrown out a first pitch, at a Cubs game. I walked up to the mound, I’m actually 10, 12 years older than you, I leaned up back, I put some pepper on it. What you did yesterday…oh my god,” Steve Harvey said during a minute-long rant at Smith.

Thirdly, and most importantly, just because you through some strikes beforehand doesn’t mean your first pitch didn’t suck.

However, no amount of practice throws is going to make up for the fact that Smith choked about as hard as the Yankees have this year.

Just a day later he was forced to provide a comment on the infidelity rumors about his wife. “I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do, ’cause we fine,” the comedian said.
Now in a new clip, Steve Harvey is once again sticking up for his wife. This time he is defending her from allegations that she had something to do with the downfall of his previous marriage. He tells the full story of how they met entirely independently of the decline of his first marriage. “She didn’t steal nothing,” he declares after telling the full story. “And I’m tired of y’all talkin’ bout my girl. Cause my girl is one of the best women I’ve ever met.”
These comments seem to be in response to the newest controversy for the couple. That spawned from a leaked recording from radio host Shirley Strawberry which shared some details on the couple’s personal life. She quickly apologized and denied the claims afterward but some of the damage had already been done.
