The Kid LAROI Adds Gunna To Remix Of “BABY I’M BACK”

The Kid LAROI had fans waiting for his debut album, THE FIRST TIME, for quite a while. He acknowledged this fact with his fans on Instagram ahead of its release, thanking them for their unwavering support. “Thank you for sticking around this long and im sorry that sometimes it’s hard being a supporter of mine. I’ve had a lot of different experiences these past couple of years and life has been nothing short of insane… Extremely grateful that I get to share this stuff with you all. I wouldn’t be anything without y’all so thank you again. I love you all beyond words”. After getting this project, it’s safe to say that the Australian multi-talent is making up for lost time. He just dropped off the deluxe last month, and now, The Kid LAROI is back with another release with Gunna.

They are combining their crossover abilities to deliver a remix of “BABY I’M BACK”, an alternate version of one of the deluxe cuts. Not much changes structurally or instrumentally, outside of Gunna’s verse now being the second, with LAROI’s now being the third. If you haven’t heard the first “BABY I’M BACK”, the track samples Player’s classic soft rock track, “Baby Come Back”. Check out the rendition below.

“BABY I’M BACK (Remix)” – The Kid LAROI & Gunna

Quotable Lyrics:

You can gon’ and get used to my voice ’cause, baby, I’m back
Young Gunna Wunna, the people’s choice just accept the facts

Keep the camera holdin’ still, I’m backin’ in that action
Every day I wake up just to kill it, that ain’t no cappin’

KILLY Goes Back To The Basics With “LIFE I CHOSE”

We feel that KILLY operates at his highest level when he’s tackling dark and grand instrumentals. It feels like every time we discuss a new release, we bring up his K3 EP from last year. But we feel it’s necessary because it contains some of his most potent cuts. He was rapping over some truly haunting, almost gothic and alien-like trap beats with “Same Energy” and “Cut Em Off” being some prime examples. However, after that mini project, we felt that KILLY was sort of losing some steam. “LIFE I CHOSE” with Dom Corleo and “POP 2” with Fourfive came across as some of his more generic releases. Those cuts, along with “FR33ZING” and “REAPER”, land on the latest effort from KILLY, LIFE I CHOSE.

The latter duo we just mentioned were slight improvements, but nothing compared to some of the others on this 15-song tracklist. KILLY’s seventh project has a pretty strong start with “POISON”, which sounds like you are about to enter a war alongside him thanks to the epic horns laced into the beat. “AGILITY” keeps the momentum going with a glitchy melodic rap instrumental, which then transitions into a guitar riffing outro. Their may be some HARDSTONE PSYCHO inspiration on it, but it works still. As for the rest of LIFE I CHOSE, there are plenty more enjoyable moments like “HUH HUH”, “BLACK OPS”, and “GRAVITY”. It may not be consistent in terms of quality, but KILLY does sound confident overall, as we feel he’s back in the realm of rap where he can dominate at times.

Diddy’s Attorney Reveals Whether Or Not He’ll Take A Plea Deal

Now that federal officials have arrested Diddy – and after the court denied his bond twice – many wonder how the actual trial will develop. Some, like Katt Williams, think that he will snitch on many of his colleagues to catch a break, but there isn’t anything indicating that. Others are more inclined to believe that Sean Combs and his legal team will fight tooth and nail in court to advocate for his innocence, especially given their statements as of late. Well, thanks to the new TMZ documentary on Tubi, The Downfall Of Diddy: The Indictment, we have an idea of what his legal strategy is when it comes to cooperation.

During the documentary, TMZ Studios spoke to Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo. He said that the Bad Boy mogul will not take a plea deal in his case on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Agnifilo also remarked that he will fight this case in court not just for his individual situation, but for others who face similar obstacles. As for why the legal team will not accept a plea deal even if prosecutors offer it, he cited his client’s supposed innocence as the reason why they see no need for it.

In addition, Marc Agnifilo said that Diddy wants to inspire other people that federal officials are prosecuting and lead them to fight back against their perceived persecution. He also posited that the New York businessman is thinking of his family a lot, and wants to prove his alleged innocence and his sense of self to them. He wants to prove he’s still the same man they love deep down. These comments come after Agnifilo characterized the federal indictment against his client as a racially motivated attack against a successful Black man.

Meanwhile, an alleged sex worker’s supposed testimony in front of a federal grand jury could result in new charges and problems for Diddy. However, we still have yet to see what this could result in. Many open questions remain ahead of the trial, which doesn’t have a set timeline at press time. But a plea deal doesn’t look like a likely possibility.

Playboi Carti Laughs At Adin Ross After Streamer Gets Mocked By Hitta J3

Playboi Carti is really keeping fans on their toes. The rapper spent years in silence. He rarely posted on social media, and never, ever released music. All that has changed in the last month. Playboi Carti has dropped two (!) singles, including a collab with The Weeknd. He’s regularly promoting his album on IG and Twitter. And he’s even taking time out of his day to make fun of Kick streamer Adin Ross. Ross has been making headlines as of late for beefing with L.A. artists, and Carti decided to get in on the fun.

The Adin Ross vs. L.A. saga started on September 26. The streamer called out a Kendrick Lamar affiliate for claiming he wasn’t welcome on the West Coast due to his friendship with Drake. Ross proceeded to deny these claims, and threatened to sue the alleged affiliate. Ross also posted a video in which he said he would have security physically assault him. The tension boiled over the following day. Hitta J3, an L.A. rapper who claims to be a Kendrick Lamar affiliate, mocked Adin Ross via Instagram Stories. He brought up the incident in which Playboi Carti went on Ross’ stream, then left after six minutes and proceeded to dip with $2 million of the streamer’s money.

Playboi Carti Had An Infamous Appearance On A Ross Stream

“No wonder Carti didn’t take your podcast serious,” Hitta J3 wrote. “You n**gas be kids with some fame & let it get to yall head Adin.” It was a pretty devastating diss. Playboi Carti’s involvement only made it hit harder. The rapper decided to repost Hitta’s post on his own IG timeline and included a laughing emoji. It clearly struck him as funny that Ross is still getting made fun for an incident that happened in February. It is pretty obvious that Playboi Carti doesn’t have a lot of respect for Ross as a tastemaker.

The rapper has mostly stayed out of the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar battle, and while he didn’t tip his hand either way, this dig against Ross is the closest we’ve seen to him picking a side. Playboi Carti wasn’t the only artist who dissed Adin Ross on Friday. Smac TDE went online and claimed that he was annoyed by Ross’ tough talk. He claimed to have been a fan of the streamer in the past, but vowed to mace and attack Adin Ross’ security if he ever saw him in L.A.

NLE Choppa Drops A Moody Party Anthem With New Single “Gang Baby”

NLE Choppa is not a subtle emcee. He’s crass, aggressive and sexual in nearly all of his lyrics. It’s telling that his biggest single to date is called “SLUT ME OUT.” He knows what he wants, and he knows that his fans like hearing it. The rapper does offer some sonic switch ups, though, on his new album SLUT SZN. The subject matter is repetitive, sure, but the opening track, “Gang Baby,” is deceptively one of the most laid back and catchy songs NLE Choppa has put out in recent memory.

“Gang Baby” has an absolutely killer beat courtesy of producers BandPlay and Trgc. They provide NLE Choppa with something moodier and more ominous that he’s used to, but it works well. “Gang Baby” is slathered in push-and-pull synth lines that force the rapper to adjust his usual flow. He sounds a bit more slurred on the song, and his flow finds a catchy pocket within the beat. It helps, however, that the chorus is one of the catchiest on the entire album. “B-a-n-g baby, let me b-a-n-g baby,” NLE sings. “Let me f**k some. B-a-n-g baby, let me b-a-n-g baby. I’m in heat, come on.” “Gang Baby” really benefits from being the lead in song to “SLUT ME OUT 2” on the SLUT SZN album. It’s sonic whiplash, but both work for very different reasons.

BIA And Lil Yachty Vent Their Frustrations On New Single “Pissed Off”

BIA and Lil Yachty have very different vibes. Very different. BIA is all about cool, sharp deliveries and stylish flexing. She sounds great over minimal beats, coming off commanding without being over the top. Lil Yachty is the complete opposite. He has a goofy, instantly recognizable voice that is charismatic, if not really cool at any point. Putting these two together on a song could have gone very wrong. Fortunately, it worked out. “Pissed Off” is BIA’s latest offering, and it proves that she can have sonic chemistry with just about anybody.

The beat is extremely skeletal. It’s heavy on the bass, and doesn’t offer much in the way of musical variety. It provides a perfect soundscape, however, for BIA to wax poetic on the things that annoy her. She’s got plenty of them. “Who playin’ down on their goals?,” she raps. “Who really touchin’ their goals. New b*tches f**kin’ your bros (Who?). Who really fake as they chain?.” The rapper’s delivery gets a bit more agitated as the song progresses, but she never looses her cool veneer. Lil Yachty hops on for the second verse, and does a surprisingly good job keeping pace. His voice is nasally as ever, but he busts out some clever bars to help make his appearance an overall W.

Jack Harlow Savagely Roasts Druski On IG After Rubi Rose Scandal

Jack Harlow and Druski are a great duo. They’ve teamed up for interviews, podcast appearances and pretty much everything else over the years. Their friendship is built on a mutual appreciation of roasting each other. Harlow has been quiet in recent months, but he decided to come out of hiding to absolutely dunk on his buddy via Instagram. Druski decided to do a little flexing on social media, and the rapper felt the need to come over the top rope with a hilarious, albeit savage comment.

Druski posted a couple photos of himself with the caption “Never needed no PR.” The comedian added a laughing emoji at the end of his boastful message, so it was obvious that he was in on the silliness of the whole thing. Jack Harlow really kicked it up a notch, though. He proceeded to pack three different jokes into one comment. “Or a stylist,” he wrote. “Or a trainer, or a nutritionist.” The rapper added the hashtags #INDEPENDENT and #SELFMADE, furthering the notion that Druski is not bragging about much. It’s a hilarious response, and one that was made in good fun, given the dynamic these two seemingly have.

Jack Harlow And Druski Have Been Friends For Years

Druski recently made headlines for less than stellar reasons. Rubi Rose, the model who seemingly dated Druski for a short time, claimed she was only with him for clout. “And for the record I never slept with that man,” she tweeted. “N**ga paid for PR. Not the p**sy.” Rose followed up her tweet clarifying that she had no hard feelings toward Druski. “He is funny and nice tho,” she claimed. “I only give it up if I’m in love, ion care how much money a n**ga got.” Regardless of the reasoning, the revelation did not look great on the part of Druski.

Regardless, Jack Harlow and Druski seem close as ever. The two celebs talked about their friendship during a profile with Complex Magazine. Harlow claimed that they share a similar perspective, which is something that allowed them to click right away. “We’re both in tune. [We] both are present,” he noted. “I We see the world the same way…. He notices things about me that are in a blind spot of myself.” Druski returned the compliment, claiming him and Jack Harlow are similarly ambitious. “We’re in two different lanes, but we’re doing the same transition,” he concluded.
