Snowd4y And Drake Drop Ridiculous Music Video For “Wah Gwan Delilah”

Drake has been moving in slightly puzzling ways since the Kendrick Lamar battle. Some of his moves have worked. The “100 Gigs” drops have been major online events. They’ve also given fans insight into some of their favorite Drake albums. Other moves have left us collectively puzzled. “Wah Gwan Delilah” is at the top of this list. The 6 God decided to team up with comedian/artist Snowd4y for a Plain White T’s cover so baffling that the band thought it was a parody. And now we have a music video for it.

Drake and Snowd4y didn’t shoot a live action video for their cover. That would have been pushing it. They did, however, decide to drop an animated music video as ridiculous as their accented take on the song. An animated Snowd4y strums an acoustic guitar amidst various landmarks in Toronto. The video real kicks off, though, when animated Drizzy shows up. The rapper is inexplicably styled to look like he did during his Views era, rather than his current day vibe. He’s even rocking a vintage OVO hoodie. It’s unclear why Drake didn’t want his braids and bulky 2020s fits animated, but we digress.

Drake Pokes Fun At Himself In New Animated Video

The music video has some genuinely funny moments. Drake and OVO Chubbs freaking out over text messages the former received, and Drake posted up on a bed with the titular Delilah. The animation style is reminiscent of South Park, right down to the minimal movement and facial expressions. To further sell the Views-era, though, the music video decides to perch animated Aubrey on top of the CN Tower that graces the album cover.

Drake has been dropping lots of loosies over the last few months. He’s had collabs with Latto, Playboi Carti and Lil Yachty. Some of them have well-liked by fans. It’s baffling, then, that “Wah Gwan Delilah” is the one that got a music video. Sure, it’s animated, but the song came out months ago. It’s a puzzling for Drake to bring attention back to the least-liked song he’s dropped in 2024. That said, he’s doing his own thing. We just hope that Drizzy and PARTYNEXTDOOR album is coming soon.

IMG 7635

ALLBLK is stepping up their feature film slate. The streamer just unveiled its new original movie Operation: Aunties, starring Tisha Campbell, Melissa De Sousa, and Amiyah Scott. Directed by Wendy Raquel Robinson, this dramedy explores the challenges of a “longtime friendship” put to the test when a cautious cryptocurrency expert and her retired detective best friend turn vigilantes after uncovering a cyber-crime ring in their city.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“After an attempted trafficking incident strikes her family, blockchain expert and professor Dr. Carol Cleavers (played by De Sousa) uncovers a dark web operation that uses modern technology to assault and traffic women through a rideshare app. Realizing the authorities won’t act quickly enough, Carol joins forces with her best friend, retired detective Sharon O’Hara (Campbell), and her tech-savvy niece, Aminah James (Scott), a talented hacker.”

Together, this trio embarks on a high-stakes mission, taking on a criminal network that puts them directly in harm’s way.

Here’s what Brett Dismuke, Head of Content for ALLBLK & We TV, expressed about the film, “while addressing “real issues affecting our society today.”

“Melissa, Tisha, and Amiyah expertly bring these strong, Black female characters to life, showcasing resilience, empowerment, and tremendous heroism — keeping the laughs coming along the way, all of which resonate deeply with ALLBLK subscribers,” Dismuke remarked.

Behind the camera, writer and executive producer TJ Ali also shared her thoughts on the significance of the film, stating, “Black women are always saving the day. Our culture thrives because of the everyday change agents — those who consistently rise up and uplift our society. For me, those agents of change have always been women from across the diaspora.”

As her debut project on the network, Ali added, “I’m incredibly proud to partner with ALLBLK, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Big Little Sis Media, and our incredible cast to bring this vision to life — a story for us, by us. The culture deserves to see our aunties as the vigilantes they already are — our heroes.”

Don’t get too excited as Operation: Aunties does not yet have a confirmed release date, but it is slated to debut exclusively on ALLBLK in 2025.

Cardi B Pops Off On ATL Jacob After Producer Allegedly Shades Her

An easy way to avoid social media warfare is to avoid Cardi B. The rapper is vicious, and she seemingly has the time to pull the card of anybody she thinks is throwing shade. Offset suffered the wrath of his baby mama on September 25. Two days later, it was ATL Jacob’s turn. The Atlanta producer posted a few choice lyrics from the Future song “Perkys Callin” on Twitter. Cardi B determined that he meant to throw shade at her, so she proceeded to call the producer out with some vicious comments.

Let’s start with the Future lyrics. “Perkys Callin” is on the rapper’s 2016 mixtape Purple Reign. It’s an absolute heater, for what it’s worth, with Southside on the beat. The lyrics that ATL Jacob decided to spotlight make reference to women who get exposed for acting messy in public. “These h*es always getting exposed,” Future raps. “Ain’t got home trainin.” ATL Jacob posted the lyrics in response to a tweet referencing the Cardi B and Offset situation. The tweet in question asked whether there was a double standard in place for cheating on one’s spouse. Cardi didn’t appreciate what she saw.

Cardi B Claims That She Never Cheated On Offset

The rapper decided to quote tweet ATL Jacob and put him on blast. She hurled every name she could think of at the producer, and threatened to have him beaten up. “P**sy a*s b*tch stop playing with me,” Cardi posted. “You a whole man and stop shading me when I don’t even know you.” The rapper then decided to up the ante and assure ATL Jacob that things could get violent if he kept subtweeting. “I got a n**ga for you to square up with tho,” she added. “If you really got an issue. Send your best b*tch.”

In a somewhat surprising move, Cardi decided to quote tweet her own quote tweet. For those keeping track at home, that’s four quote tweets stacked on top of each other. It’s a Russian nesting doll of petty at this point. We digress. Cardi B claimed that she was faithful to Offset for the entire seven years they were together. She pointed out that she was never linked to another man when she was married to the Migos rapper. She also asserted that she’s a “clean slate b*tch.” ATL Jacob’s tweet really got under her skin. At least she set the record straight.

Rory And MAL Predict That Kendrick Lamar Will Be On J Cole’s “The Fall Off”

J Cole is getting his groove back. The rapper went down a few notches in most people’s books after he decided to bow out of the “Big Three” battle. It didn’t help that he followed up this weak showing with a head-scratching verse on Cash Cobain’s “Grippy.” But Cole has been regaining the plot in recent weeks. He skated on ASAP Rocky’s “Ruby Rosary.” He killed it on Daylyt’s “A Plate of Collard Greens.” And he’s electric on the new Tee Grizzley song, “Blow for Blow.” J Cole’s new album is on the way, and Rory and MAL think a major collab is destined to happen.

Rory and MAL dropped an episode of their podcast on September 27. They discuss J Cole’s impressive run of features, and theorize who could be a feature on his album, The Fall Off. One name came to mind for both: Kendrick Lamar. “I think Kendrick Lamar will be on The Fall Off,” Rory asserted. “I can’t wait to hear the song, because I love both of them.” The host took it a step further by claiming that Drake is well within his rights to diss Cole on his next release. “Cole can’t sit there and go ‘why you shooting at me?,” he said. “Because you doing music specifically with people I don’t f**k with.”

The Duo Theorize That Drake Will Diss J Cole In Return

MAL chimed in, claiming he really wants to see what happens if Lamar is on The Fall Off. “I hope he on that motherf**ker,” he asserted. “His a*s is on the chopping block… Cole, you next!” Rory and MAL have leaned pro-Drake throughout the “Big Three” battle. MAL, in particular, has a seemingly close bond with the 6 God and has relayed alleged messages from him on the podcast. Neither man claims to have info on J Cole’s plans for The Fall Off, but they do seem confident in their prediction. Their producer, Julian Delgado, agreed. “Kendrick’s gonna be on Cole’s next album,” he announced.

J Cole and Kendrick Lamar have had a contentious relationship since the whole “First Person Shooter” fiasco, but the former has really bent the knee for King Kunta. He took his lukewarm “7 Minute Drill” diss off streaming. He apologized in front of his own festival crowd. And he’s been working exclusively with artists who are anti-Drake, to support Rory’s point. Cole has worked with Rocky, Future, Metro Boomin and Daylyt in just a few short months. That’s a long list of 6 God enemies for it to mean nothing. We’ll see what happens.

Disturbing New Lawsuit Against Diddy Alleges Abused Victim Was Impregnated By Disgraced Mogul And Encouraged to Get Abortion by Female Rapper

Screen Shot 2024 09 27 at 3.35.40 PM

This is exhausting. Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new a lawsuit from an unnamed woman who is accusing him of drugging, manipulating, and mistreating her over a four-year period. The lawsuit, filed in New York State Supreme Court, outlines claims of emotional abuse, non-consensual behavior, and attempts to control her actions, reportedly taking place from the fall of 2020 until July 2023.

Here we go … The woman, identified as Jane Doe, alleges that Combs forced her into situations against her will and that he and his staff recorded their interactions without her knowledge. The lawsuit also states that Combs used intimidation tactics to keep her compliant, leading to anxiety and depression.

Obviously these disurbing allegations come on top of other legal issues Combs is facing, including charges related to racketeering and transportation crimes. Homeland Security agents raided his Los Angeles and Miami homes in March 2023.

Get this, Jane Doe’s legal team from Napoli Shkolnik emphasized the importance of accountability, stating, “No one is above the law.” Attorney Marie Napoli added, “Recent high-profile lawsuits aim to hold these celebrities accountable, potentially transforming industry practices and providing justice for victims. Fame and wealth do not protect Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs from serious allegations.”

The detailed lawsuit claims Jane Doe first met Combs in 2020 during an overseas trip. After visiting him in Miami in 2022, she allegedly woke up with unexplained injuries, including bruising and a bite mark on her heel, with no recollection of how they occurred.

It gets darker as with all these Diddy lawsuits. It also alleges that Jane Doe was given an unknown substance, later identified as ketamine, which caused her to black out. She later discovered she was pregnant, but during this time, Yung Miami—real name Caresha Brownlee, a rapper and Combs’ ex-girlfriend—allegedly harassed her, urging her to terminate the pregnancy. Jane Doe later experienced a miscarriage and reportedly cut off contact with Combs for several months.

However, by late 2022, the lawsuit claims Combs began contacting her again, pressuring her to travel and spend time with him. It alleges that he repeatedly coerced her into unwanted situations, often through persistent messages, calls, and third-party contacts.

What’s more, the complaint details continued mistreatment, including providing her with substances that caused memory loss and leaving her disoriented after interactions. In one instance in July 2023, Jane Doe allegedly consumed water that tasted strange, making her feel unwell and confused the next day.

Diving in, over the course of their interactions, the lawsuit claims Combs frequently pressured her into situations involving other individuals despite her objections. He allegedly monitored her movements and communications, and discouraged her from pursuing work, controlling her finances by providing an allowance.

Jane Doe is seeking damages from Combs for the alleged psychological, emotional, and physical harm caused during their relationship.

And on and on we go with this mess.

Chino XL’s Family Confirm The Rapper’s Tragic Cause Of Death

Chino XL was a hip hop legend. He was a veteran of the New York underground, and his skills were praised by everyone from Immortal Technique to Travis Barker. The rapper passed away on July 28. Details on his passing were difficult to come by, and the only real confirmation initially came from his family. They issued a statement that celebrated Chino XL’s accomplishments without proving much in terms of specific information. Well, the family decided to share said information on September 28, and it’s more heartbreaking than we realized.

Chino XL’s family confirmed that the rapper died by suicide. They issued a statement on Friday that coincided with Suicide Awareness Month. “With the most profound sadness imaginable, we share the news that our beloved father decided to end his own Life,” the family wrote. “It’s been the most painful and personal experience of our lives. Chino XL was a skilled surgeon with words, but the rapper preferred to keep his personal life under wraps. It has only been after his passing that friends and family have opened up about the struggles he endured. Both parties told TMZ that Chino XL battled depression for most of his adult life. It was also alleged that the rapper was diagnosed with congenital heart failure in 2020. There’s no record of the rapper discussing either topic publicly.

Chino XL’s impact on both his family and hip hop is evident, however. His daughters, in particular, cited his kindness in an Instagram post following his death. “We are grateful beyond words for our time with Dad,” they said. “And are overwhelmed by the immeasurable global outpouring of love from around the world.” Blu, Czarface and Chuck D were among the rappers who took to social media to praise Chino’s talent. “This is a tough one,” the Public Enemy frontman tweeted. “Chino XL was my brother in rhyme and art.”
