Fashion Nova Is Absolutely Making Fun Of Drake With Their New ‘BBL Booty’ Halloween Costume

We’re in the first few days of October right now, so there’s still plenty of time for people to get their Halloween costumes sorted out before the end of the month. If you’re a Drake hater (or a Drake lover, even, depending on how you want to interpret it), Fashion Nova has the Halloween costume for you.

Technically, it’s an accessory, not a full costume: Fashion Nova has a new item listed, and the listing is titled “BBL Booty Butt Pad Costume Accessory – Nude.” The accessory straps around the wearer’s waist and, when paired with the right outfit, gives the appearance of a large butt.

The listing has no direct mentions of Drake. But, it’s so clearly about him. Aside from the obviously “BBL Drizzy”-inspired product name, the model they got to show off the costume is wearing a hoodie that says “Papi,” grills in his mouth, and rainbow-colored hairclips that are similar to the ones Drake sported during the For All The Dogs era.

As for what “BBL Drizzy” means: The term stems from accusations that Drake has had a Brazilian butt lift surgery. It especially took off earlier this year, when Metro Boomin shared an instrumental beat titled “BBL Drizzy.”

Drake is Mr. OVO. Halloween Gang. October’s Very Own. He’s repped the season since day one, and has made it a defining part of his persona. Unfortunately, the fallout from his battle with Kendrick Lamar has yet to die down. The rapper may be trying to move forward, but companies are still looking to go viral by capitalizing on the battle. Case in point: Fashion Nova. The popular retail company is selling Halloween costumes on their website, and one in particular is a direct dig at the Champagne Papi.

The costume is billed as a “BBL Booty Butt Pad Costume Accessory.” Nondescript enough, right? Well, the photos the accompany the costume tell a different story. They feature a man wearing a black hoodie and sporting a hairstyle eerily similar to the one Drake currently rocks. If that wasn’t enough, the man is wearing multi-color hair clips. You know, the same exact ones Drake wore in the music video for “8AM In Charlotte.” Did we mention that the hoodie says “Papi” on the front, effectively riffing on one of 6 God’s oldest nicknames? There’s plausible deniability, but this is about as blatant as one can be without saying the person’s name outright.

Fashion Nova Styled A Model To Look Like Drake

Drake’s alleged “BBL” procedure was a constant point of mockery during the first half of the year. It was something that Kendrick Lamar and Rick Ross hammered home on their respective diss tracks. Ross was actually the first one to level cosmetic surgery allegations at Drizzy on “Champagne Moments.” “I know you got your Dockers on with no underwear, white boy,” he said during the song’s outro. “Yeah, you had that surgery, that six-pack gone. That’s why you wearin’ that funny sh*t at your show, you can’t hide it.”

Kendrick Lamar, meanwhile, had a more clever bar on “Euphoria.” “Yeah, my first one like my last one, it’s a classic, you don’t have one,” he spit. “Let your core audience stomach that, then tell ’em where you get your abs from.” The notion that Drake doesn’t have a classic is silly, but the punchline still landed. Metro Boomin crystalized the “BBL Drizzy” meme, though, when he made a beat under the same name and urged aspiring artists to hop on it and diss Drake. The beat was extremely catchy, and the “BBL Drizzy” challenge went viral. We can’t imagine a ton of people are going to purchase the accompanying Fashion Nova costume, though.

LeBron James Warms Up To Drake Music After Being Unfollowed On IG

Drake and LeBron James have always been linked. They were championed as the successors to JAY-Z and Michael Jordan, and for many, they’ve lived up to the hype. They are defining pop culture figures of the 2010s, and continue to put up massive numbers despite being veterans. The parallels were easy to make because Drake LeBron James were friends. They supported each other’s careers, and spoke very highly of each other’s skills. Then, the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar battle happened, and all that changed.

LeBron James seemingly took Lamar’s side in the battle. He attended the rapper’s “Pop Out” show on Juneteenth. He went viral for dancing in the audience to multiple performances of the Drake diss “Not Like Us.” LeBron James was also filmed telling Steph Curry how much he liked the song during the U.S. Olympics run. It makes sense that Drake felt betrayed by his high-profile friend. The rapper decided to unfollow James on Instagram on October 1. Then, a day later, James decided to throw it back and play Drake music during warm-ups.

LeBron James Took Shots To Drake’s “Free Smoke”

The Lakers Daily Twitter account posted footage of LeBron James and the rest of the L.A. team getting ready for practice. The legendary athlete is front-and-center, taking shots while Drake’s 2017 song “Free Smoke” plays in the background. The specific choice of song is worth noting. Drake’s kickoff to the More Life playlist is packed with subliminal bars and disses aimed at his enemies. There’s a certain irony in the fact that LeBron James is now seemingly counted among these enemies.

Rumors of Drake and LeBron James falling out have surfaced in the past. There was a going theory for a while that the Toronto rapper took shots at James on the 2023 song “Songs About My Brother.” There’s a few bars in which he tells an unidentified person that they aren’t on the level of the late Kobe Bryant. It didn’t gain much traction, though, as others theorized (and provided more evidence) that Drake wanted smoke with Kung-Fu Kenny instead. Regardless, the Instagram unfollow makes it pretty clear that things between these generational talents are not good as they once were. Nothing was the same.

Drake Unfollows Diddy On Instagram Following Mogul’s Allegations

Drake continues to exercise his right to unfollow celebrities on Instagram. The rapper decided to cut several notable figures off on October 1. Some of them needed little in the way of an explanation, like Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar. Others, like LeBron James and Playboi Carti, were surprising given the seemingly good relationships Drake had with them in the past. The 6 God decided to unfollow one more celebrity on October 2, though, and this one made all the sense in the world. Drake is no longer following Diddy on Instagram.

The Diddy follow was actually a point of discussion the day before. Drake fans and haters, both of whom are a passionate late, debated the meaning of the rapper’s continued follow. Diddy has, after all, become a pariah in the music industry. The Bad Boy founder has been hit with several federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. More allegations against Diddy seemingly come out every couple days. Drake cutting ties is unsurprising. This is not, however, the first time the Toronto rapper has appeared to draw a line in the sand between him and Diddy.

Drake Has Had A Complicated History With Diddy

Following Diddy’s arrest in September, Drake posted a cryptic message on his burner account. It was a film clip from The Big Short (2015), in which Ryan Gosling’s character claims not to hang out with his co-workers. “I never hung out with these idiots after work, ever,” the character noted. “I had fashion friends.” Drake loves to use film clips to do his talking for him, as we all learned during the K. Dot battle. Drake and Diddy’s relationship has never been friendly, however, dating back to the early 2010s. Diddy accused the Toronto rapper of stealing the beat for the song “0 to 100 / The Catch Up” and the rumor goes that he slapped Drizzy outside of a club.

The Game alleged that Diddy tried to have a hit put out on the rapper in 2014. There’s nothing to validate this bold claim, however. The only time the Compton legend spoke on the matter was during a VladTV interview. What is verifiable, however, are the shots that Drizzy took at the Bad Boy founder on the 2016 song “4PM In Calabasas.” He not only borrowed Diddy’s flow and lines, but threw subliminal digs at him throughout his verses.

Drake Likes Post About Theory That Him And J Cole Are Enemies

The mantra for Drake this year has to be “no friends in the industry”. Kendrick Lamar has been the big bad wolf for him, but there has been a laundry list of artists taking their own shots at Drizzy. Future, Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, and A$AP Rocky are just a few of them to name. But it extends even beyond the hip-hop circle too, at least in the eyes of Drizzy. LeBron James has been documented saying how much he’s enjoyed “Not Like Us”, and he even showed K. Dot support by appearing at the Pop Out.

All of that love between the California residents seemed to annoy Drake enough to unfollow LBJ on IG, as well as Lamar and Playboi Carti. Another one that could be on his bad side could be J Cole. That’s at least what Rory and MAL are theorizing and what Drake might be in agreement on. The series of clips from this discussion made their way to Instagram and The Boy dropped a like on the repost of it. It’s classic behavior from him, so it is giving us pause. But in that same breath, we aren’t ruling it out.

Even though Cole has not been wanting to get involved in the beef, he has thrown himself into some situations that would suggest otherwise. Rory and MAL point those out including the “Ruby Rosary” collab with Rocky and his work with Daylyt recently. In fact, both podcasters are pretty sold that Cole has “drawn a line in the sand” and has picked a side. MAL even goes on to allege that Cole knows Drake doesn’t mess with him or really anyone for that matter. Some fans were disagreeing, saying that Cole just likes making music with everyone so he’s going to jump on a lot of opportunities regardless of who they are. It may be a bit of stretch generally speaking, but who knows at this point.

What are your thoughts on Drake liking a debate about him and J Cole potentially beefing? Do you think Rory and MAL are up to something, why or why not? Is Drizzy seemingly confirming that him and Cole are at odds? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Drake and J Cole. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the world of music.

Drake is starting off October, cleaning up his Instagram. DJ Akademiks revealed Drizzy purged some IG users, the most notable being Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

Additional names removed include Kendrick Lamar, which is obvious, Joe Budden, and DeMar DeRozan. The head-scratcher is Playboi Carti.

You can see the receipts below.

In other news, Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour has officially become the highest-grossing hip-hop tour in history. The achievement was announced by Genius on Instagram, revealing that the 80-date tour grossed a staggering $320.5 million with 1.3 million tickets sold. Every show on the tour was sold out, solidifying Drake’s dominance in the music industry.

The tour featured an impressive lineup of guest performers, including 21 Savage, J. Cole, Travis Scott, and Sexyy Red, among others. Fans across North America packed venues to witness the superstar’s performances, making this tour a landmark moment in hip-hop history.

Drake’s success with It’s All A Blur sets a new benchmark for the genre, further cementing his status as one of the most prominent artists in the world.

Drake Unfollows LeBron James And Kendrick Lamar On Instagram

Drake decided to clean house on October 1. The OVO co-founder was following lots of notable rappers and celebrities on Instagram, despite their seeming willingness to clown him. LeBron James was at the Kendrick Lamar “Pop Out” show on Juneteenth. He was also caught on camera talking about how much he liked Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss. It seemed like Drake finally pulled the trigger on axing King James from his circle. He unfollowed the NBA superstar on Tuesday, along with a host of other big names.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Drake was unfollowing people left and right. He unfollowed Kendrick Lamar, which makes sense to an extent. If anything, it was strange that the 6 God was still following K. Dot after their battle. Drake also unfollowed Metro Boomin, Joe Budden, DeMar DeRozan and Playboi Carti. These all line up with the events of the battle. Metro Boomin started the whole thing with “Like That.” DeRozan danced on stage at the “Pop Out” and made a cameo in the “Not Like Us” video. Joe Budden has always been a vocal critic of the 6 God. The only real head scratcher in the bunch is Playboi Carti. The cult icon has worked with Drake on multiple occasions, including the recent song “No Face.”

Drake Is Still Following Future On Instagram

Drake and Carti appeared to have a solid relationship. The latter was, however, removed from the “No Face” version that landed on streaming. The 6 God’s decision may also stem from the people that Carti is affiliated with. Playboi Carti recently clowned streamer Adin Ross, who appears to have a good bond with Drizzy. He also dropped a massive collab single with The Weeknd, who has been one of Drake’s enemies for over a decade. DJ Akademiks documented these unfollowings on his own Instagram.

Interestingly, one artist involved in the battle was exempt. Despite being on the song that started the beef, “Like That,” Future is still being followed by Drake. Those who have been keeping up with the saga between these two artists know that Drake was particularly hurt by the falling out he had with Pluto. He said as much in the song “Family Matters.” “Pluto sh*t make me sick to my stomach, we ain’t never really been through it,” he raps. “Leland Wayne, he a f*ckin’ lame, so I know he had to be an influence.” Maybe there’s hope for a reconciliation down the line.

Lil Durk Reveals Mind-Boggling Feature List For “Love Songs 4 The Streets 3”

Lil Durk continues to prove himself to be one of the most in-demand rappers in the world. He’s dropped hit singles, won Grammy Awards, and now he’s prepping for the release of his new album, Love Songs 4 the Streets 3. Durk has not only released the tracklist for the album, but the list of features as well. And we’ll be honest with you. The rapper might have the most eclectic and star-studded list of collabs of any rapper in 2024. Truly, Love Songs 4 the Streets 3 is going to be an incredible snapshot of this year in pop culture.

Let’s start with the most surprising features. Lil Durk has always linked up with other notable rappers. But nobody could have predicted that he would land a Sabrina Carpenter feature. Carpenter has been one of the breakout stars of 2024, if not the breakout star. It’ll be fascinating to hear how they sound together. The other names that are surprising to see on Lil Durk’s tracklist aren’t even rappers! iShowSpeed and Kai Cenat are two of the biggest streamers in the world. Yet, they will appear on the song “War Scars” together. We really have no clue what to expect there.

Lil Durk Seemingly Cut His Drake Collaboration

Where do you go after pop stars and streamers? Country, of course. Lil Durk is going to drip into another genre bag thanks to his Morgan Wallen collab “Come Home.” Rod Wave is also featured on what’s bound to be one of the biggest stylistic switch-ups of Durk’s entire career. Lil Baby and Future are slated to be on the songs “Sing this Song” and “Anti Hero,” respectively. Though their inclusion makes way more sense given the style Durk usually works in. The biggest question, though, revolves around the 6 God. Drake was supposed to be on the song “Discontinuing Wockhardt,” but it looks like he was cut from the album version. Since the other features are listed, it’s safe to assume Drake isn’t merely being hidden for dramatic effect.

Love Songs 4 the Streets 3 tracklist:

  1. Turn Up a Notch
  2. Timeless Love (featuring Sabrina Carpenter)
  3. Went Hollywood for a Year
  4. Truly Blessed
  5. War Scars (featuring iShowSpeed & Kai Cenat)
  6. Lose Control
  7. Come Home (featuring Rod Wave & Morgan Wallen)
  8. Anti Hero (featuring Future)
  9. Discontinuing Wockhardt
  10. That’s My Dawg
  11. Old Days
  12. Sing This Song (featuring Lil Baby)

Drake Seemingly Confirms His And PartyNextDoor’s Joint Album Is On Track To Drop Soon

At a PartyNextDoor concert in Toronto this past August, Drake popped up as a surprise guest. Along with performing “Finesse,” Drake teased a collaborative album with PND, saying, “On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all. So, you get the summer over with, do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside, and when it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be right there for you.”

We haven’t heard much more about the project since then, but now Drake has hinted that things are still on track.

A September 30 Instagram post from Rap Direct says, “Reminder that Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR have an album coming this Fall. You hyped for it?” Drake liked the post, seemingly indicating the fall release window is still the target.

Aside from this, we haven’t heard much about the project since August. Later that month, though, PartyNextDoor did talk about it a little bit. In an interview, he was asked what his favorite Drake collaboration is and he said, “The one we doing right now. All 15 we doing right now.” So, it looks like the project will have 15 songs.

The album will be Drake’s third collaborative project, following his and Future’s 2015 mixtape What A Time To Be Alive and his and 21 Savage’s album Her Loss from 2022.
