DJ Whoo Kid Teases Another Diss From Drake: “More Coming Soon”

DJ Whoo Kid was the first voice fans heard on Drake’s “Push Ups.” It was a surprising inclusion, but it made perfect sense given Whoo Kid’s affiliation with 50 Cent and the classic rap feuds of the 2000s. He knows how to play the game from the hype man perspective, and that’s exactly what he did for Drake on Instagram. A day after “Push Ups” leaked online, Whoo Kid hopped on the platform to tease more disses from the Canadian superstar.

Whoo Kid didn’t provide fans with any specifics regarding the diss tracks, but he did tell them to get ready. “More coming soon,” he wrote over a screenshot from the comedy film Major Payne. Whoo Kid’s involvement in “Push Ups” makes him a legitimate source of information regarding Drake disses, and the Reddit thread r/Drizzy pointed out that Whoo Kid’s vocals resemble his introductions on the old G-Unit mixtapes. The same mixtapes that established Whoo Kid’s brand and allowed 50 to take shots at dozens of other rappers. As a result, some theorize that Drake will drop a G-Unit style mixtape hosted by Whoo Kid. The operative word here being “theorize.”

DJ Whoo Kid Was On Drake’s “Push Ups”

Drake certainly has enough enemies to fill up an entire mixtape. He’s currently beefing with Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, Future and Metro Boomin. He took shots at all of them on “Push Ups,” but made it clear that he had more to say. “This ain’t even everything I know, don’t wake the demon up,” he rapped in the second verse. Whoo Kid’s relationship with Drake dates back a decade, but the DJ claims that he never gets personally invested in beefs.

During a 2016 interview with BBC Radio, DJ Whoo Kid said he always made a point of keeping things professional. “Never choose sides,” he asserted. “I been with 50 for a million years [but] I never choose sides. I know the levels of how deep the beef is, so depending on how deep the beef is, it puts a plug on whether I play the [diss] song or not on my show.” It doesn’t sound like there’s a plug on the tracks Whoo Kid and Drake have been cooking up, however. Hopefully the DJ’s claims of “soon” come to fruition.

Lupe Fiasco Claims Drake Is A Better Rapper Than Kendrick Lamar

Lupe Fiasco has never been afraid to share his opinion. The Chicago emcee has plenty of hot takes, and he delivers them the same passion as the rhymes on his albums. His latest take, however, may baffle the same genre purists who hold him to such a high standard. During a recent chat with Ae Verb, the “Paris, Tokyo” writer declared that Drake was a better rapper than his Big Three nemesis, Kendrick Lamar. He also claimed that Lamar is not as “dangerous” as his reputation suggests.

The clip currently circulating online starts with Ae Verb asking whether Lupe Fiasco preferred Drake or Kendrick Lamar. Lupe did not hesitate in naming the 6 God, and his reasoning was simple: he has bars. “You know I ain’t capping when I say that,” he added. “I would give it to Drake. I think Kendrick’s a better technically skilled performer but I don’t think he’s a better rapper.” The conversation shifted to Lamar, at which point Lupe asserted that the Compton superstar was slightly overrated when it came to his battle credentials. “So you ain’t never heard Kendrick and felt like he was one of the most dangerous rapper?”, Ae Verb asked. Lupe’s response was swift: “No.”

Lupe Fiasco Beefed With Kendrick Lamar In 2018

Lupe Fiasco has had quite a bit to say about Kendrick Lamar as of late. When their 2018 feud resurfaced in the wake of the Drake and K. Dot disses, Lupe made it very clear that he did not bend the knee to the younger artist. “I wasn’t apologizing to him lol,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “I was sorry about the entire shindig because it was such a waste of time and energy… Keep my name clean. I fear no rapper of any kind or on anytime… K Dot solid but y’all need to chill.”

Lupe kept the aggression intact for his recent Coachella appearance. In the middle of his set, he called out every other rapper in the game and vowed to “smoke” them if they wanted beef. “I don’t give a f**k how many records you sold,” he promised the crowd. “If you want smoke, I swear on my muthaf**kin soul I will walk through n***as. I will chew n***as up. I will body muthaf**kas.”

Drake Reacts To Kendrick Lamar Diss While Fans Debate It’s Authenticity

Diss tracks have been leaking left and right. An unfinished version of Drake’s single “Push Ups” leaked hours before the official version on April 13. A few hours later, Rick Ross’ diss, “Champagne Moments,” was previewed on a DJ Akademiks live stream. The trend continued on Monday, April 15, as a leaked snippet of a Kendrick Lamar diss surfaced. The leak was only a minute and a half long, and a certain Aubrey Drake Graham was not impressed with what he heard.

The leak was met with skepticism, as many theorized that the bars on the diss were not up to Lamar’s standard, and therefore generated by AI. Some, however, pushed against this notion and put forth the idea that Lamar’s response was simply bad. OVO Hush was one of these people. OVO Hush, a trusted member of Drake’s camp, posted the alleged Lamar diss on Instagram and a brutal comment. “When you find out this is real,” he warned. “Don’t forget how trash it was as an AI.” Drake then commented on Hush’s post with a single crying emoji. Check out the DJ Akademiks screenshot below.

Despite widespread attempts to determine the authenticity of the leak, there remains no clear answer. OVO Hush suggests that fans got to hear the first part of an otherwise underwhelming (and real) diss. The same goes for Mal of the New Rory And Mal Podcast, who tweeted: “And that’s definitely not AI.” Others, like Mickey Factz and DJ Dahi, are convinced that the world has not heard a real K. Dot song. Dahi, who has collaborated with Lamar multiple times, went as far as to say that artists need Google authenticators to validate their involvement.

The untitled leak features a booming instrumental and bars aimed at both Drake and J. Cole. Lamar’s flow is less catchy than it was on “Like That,” and the recurring flatline sound integrated into the beat gives the whole song a melodramatic, “I Need A Doctor” by Dr. Dre vibe. Lamar’s camp has not issued any statements regarding the leak. Until they do, fans will have to continue to speculate regarding its authenticity.

Rick Ross Claps Back At Drake On “Champagne Moments”

2024 has been a messy year. The cold war between Drake and the rest of the hip-hop world went nuclear after Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” diss, and since then it’s been open season on the 6 God. Future, Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and ASAP Rocky have all taken aim at Drake, but the rapper that has most hip-hop fans conflicted is Rick Ross. Drake and Ross have made classic records together for over a decade. Ross’ new single, however, makes it clear that they will be enemies from now on.

Ross teased the track “Champagne Moments” during a DJ Akademiks live stream on April 13, but it’s now available on streaming platforms with beefed up drums and artwork with the hashtag “#BBLDrizzy.” The rapper furthered the disrespect by tagging Birdman and OVO Records when he posted the song on Instagram. The beat for “Champagne Moments” is classic Rick Ross, with lush strings and a mafioso vibe that suits the rapper’s husky flow. Ross accuses Drake of ripping off Lil Wayne’s style, and claims the Toronto rapper needed his co-sign to establish credibility.

Rick Ross Rebrands Drake As “BBLDrizzy”

These lines are debatable, especially since Drake has been featured on all of Ross’ biggest hits, but the thing that will keep fans buzzing about “Champagne Moments” is the outro. He claims that Drake got a nose job and cosmetic surgery on his body. Ross also goes after Drake’s perceived “blackness,” or lack their-of, which has been a talking point since Drake blew up. Ross doesn’t body Drake, but he does pick at a few scabs, and the production is solid.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Champagne Moments,” by Rick Ross? Do you think he bested Drake? Do you think Ross’ claims about Drake are true? Will the 6 God issue a response? Drake Disses Metro Boomin (Again) With “Drumline” Meme

Drake is ready for war. The 6 God spent weeks taking disses from the likes of Future and Metro Boomin, but he silenced the critics when he dropped “Push Ups” on April 13. He took on Future first, but he saved his most disrespectful bars for the aforementioned producer. “Metro, shut your h*-a*s up and make some drums, n***a,” he exclaimed before the chorus. The bluntness of the line, coupled with Drake’s aggressive delivery, made it one of the song’s high points. Fans were quick to agree that Metro doesn’t really have a leg to stand on lyrically, despite the fact that he used to rap.

Drake is seemingly aware of the impact his “drums bar had, and has decided to double down. The Toronto rapper took to Instagram on April 15 to upload a clip of the 2002 film Drumline starring Nick Cannon. Drumline in a teen drama set amidst the world of competitive band drumline, which perfectly aligns with Drake’s dismissive line about Metro. The rapper didn’t even bother tagging anyone in the post. He knew followers would understand who the clip was making fun of, and he was right.

Drake’s Drumline meme was reposted by the likes of DJ Akademiks and The Shade Room. Akademiks added gas to the fire by including the caption: “Drake posts how metroboomin finna respond to his diss song.” Metro hasn’t responded to the post, nor has he commented on the diss record from which the “drums” line originated. The only social media post the producer made in relation to Drake, and the battle of the so-called Big Three, was April 13.

Metro tweeted a photo of himself next to Future and The Weeknd with the caption “The Biggest Three.” The implication, of course, being that the trio who are firmly against Drake are actually more popular than him. Metro has been busy as of late, dropping a mixtape and two collab albums with Future over the last month. He even tweeted about how excited he was to get some rest. Given the current state of things between him and Drake, however, the Atlanta producer will likely stay busy.

Channing Crowder Wants Smoke With Drake After Rapper Cat Calls His Wife At Concert

It seems every celebrity has a bone to pick with Drake. A recent video on X (formerly Twitter), has begun to go a little viral. Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder, one of the hosts of The Pivot Podcast, recently went to a Drake concert and all seemed to be going well. However, the superstar rapper noticed Channing’s wife, Aja Crowder, and really liked what he saw. “Oh s***. The green right there – she fine as hell,” Drizzy called out from the stage. It was quite astounding how he was able to spot Channing’s wife from that far away, especially since she was in a suite higher up.

Some might see this is as fake and stitched together, but Aja was wearing a green top, so this looks to be real. Channing definitely did not seem to happy about it, saying, “Man hell with him. I ain’t worrying about Drake! I’ll see Drake in the parking lot.” On top of that response, Crowder shared the video on X, with a caption asking Metro Boomin and Future for a favor.

Channing Crowder Wants In On The Drake Dissing

“Aye Future and Metro! I see why y’all still don’t trust him. This man was shooting at my Baby from the air. 🗣 Let me in the booth!” We have already seen plenty of rappers get in the booth or take their shots at Drake. Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, Metro, Future, and more have all walloped on The Boy. Getting a diss from a former football player would be the icing on the cake.

What are your thoughts on Channing Crowder calling out Drake for cat calling his woman at a concert? Do you think we are in for a Metro Boomin, Future, and Crowder collaboration? Rick Ross’ Comedic Ways Continue As He Trolled Drake And Teased An Alleged Fact About ‘Sicko Mode’

Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s brewing battle is certainly the main event in hip-hop at the moment, but aside from the kerfuffle that’s come from their diss tracks, it hasn’t been all that eventful. If you’re looking for entertainment, look no further than the side beef between Drake and Rick Ross. Things between the friends-turned-enemies reached its peak point when Drake dissed Ross on “Push Up (Drop & Give Me 50),” his response to Kendrick and others. Ross quickly responded with “Champagne Moments” just hours later, but the Florida native had plenty more to say to Drake after he released his response.

Hours after he jumped on social media to call Drake “BBL Drizzy” and OVO Sound “Pastrami Posse,” Ross continued his trolling on Instagram while at a party in Miami. Despite their beef, Ross seemed to enjoy when Drake’s records were played during the party. Nothing seemed to put a bigger smile on his face than when Drake’s verse on Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” played and Ross used that moment to make a big reveal about the song. “Who wrote this?” Rick Ross said into the camera. “Guess who wrote this. You would never guess who wrote this.”

Ross did not reveal the alleged writer behind the song, but it’s not the first time Drake has dealt with ghostwriter claims over the past couple of weeks. Fans were reminded of Future’s songwriter contributions to Drake’s “Feel No Ways” after Future and Metro Boomin put “This Sunday,” the alleged reference track for “Feel No Ways,” on their latest album We Still Don’t Trust You. More recently, Lil Yachty’s reference track for “Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin” off Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss album leaked on Twitter.

You can watch Ross make claims about “Sicko Mode” in the video above.

Kevin Durant Picks A Side In The Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef

Kevin Durant is not shy about sharing his opinions. For example, he recently shut down Fat Joe for claiming he almost got jumped after his iconic Rucker Park performance. Durant is preparing to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA playoffs. But that doesn’t mean he is not plugged into what everybody is so hyped about on social media: the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud that has the game in a chokehold right now.

The former NBA MVP is one of the best hoopers of his generation and a big hip-hop fan. The biggest story in hip-hop is the mega beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar and everyone connected to both artists. Kevin Durant is one to get into debates and let his takes fly on social media, so it’s not a surprise he is weighing in. So, who is Kevin Durant throwing his support behind? As the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake intensifies, fans are taking sides, and KD has planted his flag.

Kevin Durant has sided with Drake, posting Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album cover on his Instagram. Specifically, KD posted Drakes’s song “No Friends In The Industry” for some extra context on where he stands. The two go way back, with numerous NBA courtside moments documented between them. Many fans’ major problem with Durant is that they believe he lacks loyalty, leaving teams for better situations. This move is a loyal one, and it’s pretty bold after the weekend when Drake took some massive shots.

Kevin Durant has never really been a big K-Dot fan. He left Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers off his list of five best albums of 2022. Furthermore, Kevin Durant has always been a Drake guy, dating back to his Oklahoma City days. This hip-hop feud has people from all corners of every industry weighing in on what has been supremely entertaining as a spectacle. Hopefully, the NBA playoffs can provide some drama of this level on the court. The Durants-Suns will take on Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round, and the talking has already started. There is a high probability of some fiery NBA feuds in the coming weeks.

What Did ASAP Rocky Say About Drake?

Drake and ASAP Rocky have a long history that dates all the way back to the early 2010s. At the start of their relationship, they were friends. As a matter of fact, some consider Drake to be a significant contributor to ASAP’s subsequent success in the music industry. Many fans believe that the tale of ASAP Rocky’s rise to stardom cannot be told without mentioning Drake.

Yet, over the years, the relationship between the two has turned sour. Since ASAP Rocky began dating Rihanna, his relationship with Drake has slowly deteriorated. So much so that the two have now fired shots at each other via diss tracks. The most recent jab was from ASAP and is featured on “Show of Hands,” a track from Future and Metro Boomin’s latest collab project, We Still Don’t Trust You. It remains to be seen if the two rappers will ever reconcile and become friends again. However, the chances of that ever happening seem to get smaller by the day.

ASAP Rocky Disses Drake On “Show Of Hands”

This has been an interesting year for Hip Hop so far, with a number of prominent acts taking shots at Drake. It began with Kendrick Lamar on “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin. Now, ASAP Rocky has also dissed Drake on another Future and Metro Boomin track. The song, “Show of Hands,” is featured on the duo’s latest project, WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOUOn the track, ASAP spits some venomous bars supposedly aimed at Drake. “Ni**as swear they bi**h the baddest, I just bagged the worst one / Ni**as in they feelings over women, what, you hurt or somethin’? / I smash before you birthed, son, Flacko hit it first, son / Still don’ trust you, it’s always us, never them / Heard you dropped your latest sh*t / Funny how it just came and went,” Rocky raps on the track. As things get more heated, fans eagerly wait to see if Drake will respond to ASAP Rocky more directly in the future.

Drake & ASAP Rocky’s Early Relationship

After ASAP Rocky released “Purple Swag” and “Peso” in 2011, he got the attention of many in the music industry, one of whom was Drake. Following the release of his critically acclaimed mixtape Live. Love. ASAP (2011), Rocky garnered even more public attention. Sometime within that period, he linked up with Drake, and the two began working together. Subsequently, in 2012, ASAP Rocky served as an opening act for Drake on his Club Paradise Tour. It was the highest-grossing Hip Hop tour of 2012, introducing many new listeners to ASAP Rocky. Later, on October 24, 2012, the rapper released “F**kin’ Problems,” which features Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and 2 Chainz. That track remains the only one featuring both rappers. However, they stayed on good terms for several years afterward. The tension between the two started much later, in 2020, when ASAP Rocky got into a romantic relationship with Rihanna, Drake’s ex.

2022: Drake Expresses Displeasure At ASAP Rocky & Rihanna’s Relationship

When news of Rihanna and ASAP Rocky dating came out in 2021, many wondered how Drake took it. While we can’t say for sure, chances are the “Take Care” rapper didn’t take the news very well. However, throughout 2021, he ignored the topic and did not address either ASAP or Rihanna. Subsequently, in January 2022, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together. Soon after this revelation, X news account @PopTingzz reported that Drake had unfollowed both ASAP Rocky and Rihanna. While he still hadn’t directly addressed the topic, according to fans, his actions said more than enough.

2023: Drake Allegedly Disses Rihanna On For All the Dogs

On February 12, 2023, Rihanna headlined the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. At the end of her performance, she revealed that she was pregnant for ASAP Rocky once again and was expecting the child soon. Following the news, Drake was trolled on the internet for “losing the girl” and watching ASAP Rocky live his dreams. However, the rapper still did not address the topic. Subsequently, on October 6, 2023, Drake released his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs. On the track “Fear of Heights,” he finally seemed to speak about Rihanna, albeit indirectly.

Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you? / That could never be/ Gyal can’t run me / Better him than me / Better it’s not me,” he raps in the opening lines of the track. “I’m anti, I’m anti / Yeah, and the sex was average with you / Yeah, I’m anti ’cause I had it with you,” Drake continues, not so subtly. Later in October, when a reporter from TMZ caught up with ASAP and asked if he would respond to Drake, he ignored the question. Well, we certainly got our answer in 2024.

Uma Thurman Offers Drake Her ‘Kill Bill’ Suit Amid Rap Beef

uma thurman kill bill vol 3 1024x684

Drake was having a bit of fun with his current beef, highlighting how the numbers aren’t in his favor with disses coming from everywhere.

Hitting Instagram, Drake shared an image of Uma Thurman from Kill Bill with one sword out and aurrounded by many attackers. Seeing the post, Thurman shared an image of the actual yellow suit she wore in the film: She wrote, “@Need this? @Champagnepapi.”

Drake dropped off “Push Ups,” but he says that’s just the tip of the iceberg. In an Instagram conversation with Ernest Baker, Drake says the red button is “not even close” to having been pressed.

You can see the message below.

It’s officially up. Drake has responded to shots fired at him from all angles with the new diss track “Push Ups.” The single heavily targets Kendrick Lamar following the “Like That” diss verse but also takes aim at Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, Future, Rick Ross, and one that nobody saw coming, Ja Morant.

Throughout “Push Ups,” Drake shades Kendrick Lamar over his size and being an “extortion baby” losing 50% of his income to Top Dawg Entertainment. Additionally, Drake calls out being forced to drop verses for Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, and more.

Drake also addresses bars specifically from “Like That”:

“You won’t ever take no chain off of us
How the fuck you big steppin’ with a size seven men’s on?”

and

“Just to have this talk with yo’ ass, I had to hike down
Big difference between Mike then and Mike now
What the fuck is this, a twenty-V-one, nigga?
What’s a prince to a king? He a son, nigga”

From there, Drake turned his attention to The Weeknd:

“Y’all nigga manager was Chubbs lil’ blunt runner
Claim the 6ix, and you boys ain’t even come from it
And when you boys got rich, you had to run from it
Cash blowin’ Abel bread, out here trickin’ (Out here trickin’)
Shit we do for bitches he doin’ for niggas”

He swiftly had a bar for Metro: “Metro, shut your ho ass up and make some drums, nigga”

He even got back into the “Officer Ricky” association to RIck Ross, while jabbing Ja Morant:

“Niggas really got me out here talkin’ like I’m 50, ayy
Niggas really got me out here rappin’ what I’m livin’
I might take your latest girl and cuff her like I’m Ricky
Can’t believe he jumpin’ in, this nigga turnin’ fifty
Every song that made it on the chart, he got from Drizzy
Spend that lil’ check you got and stay up out my business
Worry ’bout whatever goin’ on with you and (Uh)
Ayy, shoutout to the hooper that be bustin’ out the griddy
We know why you mad, nigga, I ain’t even trippin’
All that lil’ heartbroken Twitter shit for bitches”

You can hear all the madness below.
