Nicki Minaj Apologizes To Photographer After Attacking Him During Show

During Nicki Minaj’s recent San Antonio tour stop of her highly successful Pink Friday 2 trek, she did a double take at one point when she thought she saw a “Peeping Tom” looking up at her with a camera from within the stage set-up. Always one to act decisively and staunchly, she kicked the camera. “Ow that’s me! No!” you can hear the cameraman say. “This is one of the craziest things we’ve ever captured. Yall plz look @ this,” the Trinidadian MC captioned her Twitter post showing the moment off. However, on Instagram, she then clarified that she actually kicked her photographer Grizz by accident, as she didn’t recognize him and thought he was just a random creep.

“Dear #GagCitySanAntonio, TEXAS,” Nicki Minaj captioned her recap post. “You are beautiful. In every way. If you only knew how bright you shine through. I’ll never forget this night. Still, it’s not like Nicki Minaj doesn’t clash with her team often, as she recently blasted an assistant online for a food order she messed up. But at least they got to the bottom of things and were able to clear the situation up, and the initial clip of the kick is a bit funnier with this content in mind.

Rick Ross & Trick Trick Settle Their Beef Onstage

While many Rick Ross and Drake fans think they won’t reconcile, some have hope thanks to the former’s recent actions. For those unaware, Rozay and Detroit rapper Trick Trick have had beef since around 2014, when Ross was allegedly banned from performing at Summer Jamz in the city. He allegedly feared for his life per HipHopDX due to the 100-person blockade that Trick led to stop him from performing, which also allegedly included a no fly zone thanks to his alleged disrespect of the city. But that’s all over now. Moreover, the two squashed their beef with the help of Death Row Records cofounder Michael “Harry O” Harris.

Furthermore, Harry O organized the Community First Action concert in Pontiac, Michigan on Tuesday (September 17). He introduced the two and they embraced onstage before Rick Ross performed his 2010 track “I’m Not A Star.” While this is very heartening to see, we know that he’s dealing with a lot of other beefs right now, ones that he might have to try really hard to squash if he wants to. One of these is with Ross’ ex Tia Kemp, who recently accused him of ordering hits out on people.

Nevertheless, here’s what Rick Ross had to say about burying the hatchet with Trick Trick on Instagram. “I want to take time out and salute the ones really making a difference in the community,” he shared. “The big homie Harry O, what you doing with Community First, I love it. Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Leave Fans Scratching Their Heads With “A Thousand Miles” Remix

As with many of their other VULTURES listening parties, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s China concert over the weekend was quite eventful. Whether it was bringing all of Ye’s kids onstage or dissing Adidas once more, there was a lot to take in and some notable moments to witness. However, one of the oddest timestamps occurred when they debuted a new song that remixes Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles.” If you don’t recognize the track title, we guarantee you’ll recognize its opening piano lick. Ty sings its lyrics in the clip below over a string recreation of the original instrumentation, backed by frenetic ad-libs from Skinbone’s 2018 parody of the same track.

All in all, it doesn’t actually sound so bad as it looks on paper, especially with the regal flair Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign add to the melody. But it’s certainly an odd choice for a cover, although their as-of-yet unreleased “EVERYBODY” collab with its Backstreet Boys sample kind of set this precedent already. Also, it’s not like the quality standard is very high after VULTURES 2, if we’re being real. Nonetheless, it wasn’t the only new song they teased.

Furthermore, many folks wonder what Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s next moves will be. While there’s still technically another VULTURES volume in the works, the release strategy for its previous installments leaves little hope for a well-groomed release, let alone a compelling one. Also, there are rumors that recent performances have inspired Ye for a new project, although the nature of it’s unclear. Whether it’s a solo album or another collaborative effort is a question for Father Time as of writing this article.

Meanwhile, even with all the family time and performance spectacles, there’s still a lot of controversy over Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign. The former definitely carries most of that weight, and we don’t know if this will ever really see another big shift. Kanye West Surprises Fans At China Show With New Song Preview

Kanye West fans in China were in for a treat at his VULTURES listening party with Ty Dolla $ign, getting more than what they bargained for. Moreover, he previewed a new song seemingly titled “Preacher Man,” which features some simple and high-pitched vocal sampling under his passionate auto-tuned singing, eventually leading into a rap verse and earthy electric guitar strums. It sounds reminiscent of 808s & Heartbreak to a degree, mixed in with the more minimal, atmospheric, and dramatic approach of much of Ye’s 2020s output so far. Many fans in the comments section of the post below wrote statements like “Ye beat washed allegations” given the disappointed reception to VULTURES 2.

Furthermore, Kanye West reportedly said that this new song will appear on his next project, which is unsurprisingly a mystery at press time. Actually, that’s giving it too much credit: there are no details to speak of at all. We just have rumblings of inspiration and studio work, but no indication if this will be a solo album or the conclusion to the promised VULTURES trilogy. Considering how chaotic and shoddy the releases turned out so far, we wouldn’t express shock if its third installment remains a myth for a long time.

Elsewhere in China, Kanye West got to meet a lot of excited fans while traveling with his wife Bianca Censori, who looked as scantily-clad and unbothered as ever. It’s clear that there’s still a lot of demand for Ye to pop out, even as his controversies continue to mount. Also, it’s much more of a global affair now, as these VULTURES listening parties took him and Ty Dolla $ign all over the world. We’ll see whether or not they continue to cater to as many fans as possible as they traverse the industry with their choices in mind, for better or worse.

Travis Scott’s Jam-Packed Brazil Concert Causes Earthquake

Travis Scott and lit shows go together like peanut butter and jelly. If the show isn’t shaking the literal foundations of the earth, then it’s not one of his shows. We say that because once again, Travis Scott has caused an earthquake, according to reports from HipHopDX and Complex. This past Wednesday, La Flame was putting on a concert in São Paulo, Brazil, a city that’s seen plenty of activity lately. Over the last week or so, The Weeknd performed some of his upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, and then the NFL had its first-ever game in the famous locale.

Clearly, all of that excitement and energy was carried over into Scott’s event. As you can see below (in gorgeous overhead shots), it appears to be sold out. About 46,000 people were in attendance and when you have someone like him performing rager after rager, things are going to get buck wild. To no surprise, they did, as local news stations reported shaking that was actual visible to the naked eye.

If you remember, a similar thing happened in Rome last summer right around the release of UTOPIA. He stopped at the Circus Maximus stadium and there a 1.3 magnitude earthquake occurred. With all of this excitement still around his fourth studio album, Scott sees that fans are “FE!N[ing]” for more, which is why he’s back in album mode once again. We can only imagine that more ground-shaking shows on the horizon at this point.

Kanye West Posts Cryptic Instagram Message As Fans In China Get Hyped For Concert

Ahead of Kanye West’s China concert with Ty Dolla $ign for their VULTURES parties (which will be his first in the country in 16 years), he just confused a lot of fans online. Moreover, he posted a picture of him wearing a hoodie with what seems like Chinese on it with the caption “TOLD YOU.” While no one really knows what this means, one can easily assume that this relates to Ye’s concert, possibly to the specifics of how long it took him to return to China. Either way, his die-hards are ready. They gathered outside the Hainan stadium where he’ll perform tomorrow (Sunday, February 15) to play his music.

As you can see in the Twitter post below, other Kanye West fans in China went to great lengths to express their excitement. They traveled with custom luggage honoring him, and a couple of cars were spotted around town that either quote or represent Ye to a certain degree. We’re sure that his travels in the country with his wife Bianca Censori already saw him run into plenty of these excited admirers. Tomorrow night, we’ll see how the listening party turns out.

Tyler, The Creator Calls Out Kanye West For Using Backing Tracks In Concert

Tyler, The Creator and Kanye West admire each other’s music. They’ve collaborated multiple times over the last decade. The former has cited West as a major musical influence on several occasions. Tyler will speak his mind when something annoys him, though. Kanye West posted footage of him performing the track “On Sight” during his recent concert in Korea, and Tyler, The Creator took to the comment section with some feedback. He wasn’t mean about it, but he did make it clear to West and the fans that he was annoyed with what he saw.

First, the footage. Kanye West is clearly letting the backing tracks do most of the work during the show. “On Sight” is a high energy song, but the rapper seems pretty laid back and content to just vibe out while the crowd sings along. Tyler, The Creator wasn’t thrilled. He left a comment on West’s page calling him out for being lazy on stage. “N**ga u was right there,” Tyler wrote. “Just say the words!!!!” He tried to take some of the sting out of his critique by throwing a few heart eye emojis, but his point stood.

Tyler, The Creator may have songs with Kanye West, but he’s been accused of dissing the rapper in the past. A fan theory developed around the 2023 song “Stuntman,” in which many fans assumed Tyler was taking aim at the “Carnival” hitmaker. He was not. Tyler, The Creator clarified this misconception during an interview with Rap Radar. “[People] have terrible comprehension skills,” he told the podcast hosts. “I would never diss—like, no, I love that n**ga. And that is not about him. It’s actually about the rest of the world.”

Kanye West has reciprocated the positive energy. He praised Tyler, The Creator’s fashion sense as far back as 2013. “[He’s an] artist, innovator, and a good mentor,” West told 97.1 AMP Radio. “Because he’s so talented and understands things.” It goes without saying that Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator are very different people than they were in 2013 (especially West), but mutual admiration still seems strong. Gucci Mane, Plies, And Yung Miami Concert Allegedly Canceled By Police After Yungeen Ace Joins Lineup

Yungeen Ace’s addition to a concert lineup featuring Gucci Mane, Plies, Yung Miami, and Rob49 allegedly caused Tampa Police to shut down the event. According to No Jumper, the venue was concerned about providing security considering Ace’s alleged gang affiliations. The outlet shared an alleged email explaining the decision on Instagram on Sunday. The concert was scheduled for Friday, September 20.

“You may know that Julio Foolio was murdered right up the street from us and we’ve been made aware that Ace is rumored to have gang ties to the group that was involved with the shooting (Gangs ATK and KTA),” it reads. “We’re concerned about security around the venue and in the area seeing how recent this all happened. There’s also a duty we have to USF to make their police aware of the information if Ace is indeed coming.”

In the wake of Foolio’s death, Ace has made several conflicting headlines regarding the situation. In a snippet of a track remixing Cash Cobain’s hit song, “Problem,” he appeared to diss both him and his mother, rapping: “They mad at me that n***a died that’s not my [problem], I’m getting rich off the dead like that’s my [problem]. Can’t trust nobody but my choppa that’s my [problem]. Lil’ n***a died, got caught in traffic that’s my [problem],” as well as, “When this b**ch got hit with the stick that wasn’t my [problem]. When his mom got hit with that sh*t that wasn’t my [problem].”

Lil Yachty Fan Screams “F**k KARRAHBOOO” During Moment Of Silence For Juice WRLD

At a recent show, Lil Yachty asked the crowd to spend a moment in silence to honor Juice WRLD’s memory. Most people in the crowd followed suit and paid their respects, although there were some rowdy folks that started to yell stuff out. Moreover, one of these exclamations even made him laugh before getting into his next song. “F**k KARRAHBOOO!” someone shouted, which made both the crowd and the Atlanta artist crack up. His reaction indicates that he’s still got some hard feelings for the former Concrete Boys affiliate… Or, alternatively, that he’s possibly laughing at this beef not being as deep as fans think behind the scenes.

But sadly, the very nasty and combative interactions between Lil Yachty and KARRAHBOOO suggest that the former option is the more likely one. For those unaware, the two started to clash about a month after news broke that she left the group. They accused each other of toxic behavior, with Yachty also claiming that he wrote the large majority of her material. As for KARRAH, she also hinted at there being some skeletons in his closet that relate to darker industry secrets. Of course, this is all mostly hearsay, so take it with a grain of salt.

They’ve kept throwing some shots back and forth at each other online, but things have mostly quieted down since a bit over a week ago. In fact, ironically enough, one of the last updates we got to this whole saga is that KARRAHBOOO sent shade Lil Yachty’s way during one of her recent concerts. She repeated the phrase “Who ain’t write it?” during one of her songs, addressing his ghostwriting allegations. Again, we doubt that these two will reconcile in the near future, although we can’t act too surprised if this was all for show.

Hopefully we’re wrong, and they realize that they can focus on their own endeavors without having to beef with each other. But with these other public interactions or statements in mind, an escalation isn’t out of the picture either. At least Lil Yachty and KARRAHBOOO don’t have much other beef beyond what’s happening with Concrete Boys. People thought Big Sean sent some shots, but that was a false alarm.

Usher Turns His Stage Into A Strip Club For Brooklyn Tour Stop

Usher is stunning every crowd he greets on his “Past Present Future” tour, and is even inspiring the crowd to take over the show and sing for him. But it’s not just a concert: it’s a 4AM party in the waviest strip club in the city… Or at least, that’s the vibe he wants to create with each tour stop. Moreover, for the singer’s first Brooklyn show at the Barclays Center on Friday (September 6), he turned part of the stage into a strip club, complete with a pole for a dancer to use. Taraji P. Henson, Victoria Monét, and Yung Miami were right there to throw some cash and have fun with the performers.

Of course, this is nothing new for Usher, who did this exact sort of homage during his Vegas residency, his Super Bowl halftime show, and more. Also, it’s exactly the kind of extravagance and fun-loving raunch that we expect from him, so this isn’t all too surprising. While it doesn’t make it any less entertaining, we can’t help but wonder what the Dallas native will do next during this trek. We know that he’s taken his time to greet familiar faces and old friends in the crowds, so we hope that there’s more wholesome stuff on the way.

Speaking of wholesome tour content, Usher also took some time during this Brooklyn show to shout out his “SOS (Sex On Sight)” collaborator, Victoria Monét. “Victoria, we love you, baby girl!” he told her in the stands before playing her hit song “On My Mama.” We can’t think of many other careers who have had a better past 48 months than the Atlanta native. So not only was this well-deserved, but we hope there’s more stuff like this to come.

All this being said, it’s not like every single part of this tour has been perfect. For example, after a particularly bizarre clip of Usher’s “Yeah!” performance went viral, people accused him of sending a clone onstage.
