Travis Scott Turns Dennis Rodman Into Willy Wonka For Air Jordan Ad

Travis Scott’s ability to brand himself has been exemplary. The rapper has become a superstar on the strength of his music, but his Air Jordan deal has helped him connect with fans outside of hip hop. He continued to push the boundaries on Friday, December 20. Travis Scott dropped a commercial for his Cactus Jack x Air Jordan collaboration. The elaborate commercial stars Scott and, surprisingly, Dennis Rodman as an eccentric riff on Willy Wonka.

The commercial starts with a POV shot of a golden ticket winner. The winner is then transported to a surreal factory where Rodman appears to be in charge. “Welcome to the factory,” he exclaims, before a series of bizarre and disorienting shots occur. Rodman’s character hops on a roller coaster with the main character, and they ultimately arrive at a workshop. Travis Scott is revealed to be the man working at the workshop. He’s not enthused, though. The rollercoaster bumps Scott’s chair, causing the rapper to mess up what he was working on. “Dammit Dennis,” Travis Scott fumes. “Third time this week, bruh.” He then looks over and spots the golden ticket winner. He daps him up and welcomes him before getting back to work.

Travis Scott And Dennis Rodman Previously Feuded

Travis Scott’s decision to enlist Dennis Rodman is a full circle moment. The rapper and NBA superstar actually had beef back in 2023, when the latter accused Scott of stealing his shoe design. “Travis Scott has copied my shoe,” he said via Instagram Live. “I was the first guy to do mine backward when I was playing with the Chicago Bulls.” Rodman blasted both Scott and Nike for not properly crediting him in their rollout. “Come on, Travis, give us some credit,” he added. “You copied my shoe. So this ain’t new. This ain’t new, brother. But either way, congratulations.”

Travis Scott and Dennis Rodman appear to have set their differences aside. The same cannot be said for Rodman and his daughter, Trinity. She blasted the NBA legend for being an absentee father during a new appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Trinity claimed that she doesn’t feel close to Dennis Rodman and the latter replied with a lengthy social media apology. “Sorry I wasn’t the dad you wanted me to be,” he wrote. “But either way I still tried and I still try and never will stop.”

Eminem Promotes Snoop Dogg’s “Missionary” With Hilarious Commercial

Eminem has always used comedy to his advantage. He’s one of the zaniest rappers of all time, as evidenced by his music videos, lyrics, and Slim Shady alter ego. Em may have retired said alter ego on his last album, but he hasn’t lost his sense of humor. The Detroit rapper decided to drop a commercial in promotion of the new Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre album Missionary. Eminem appears on the album, but he doesn’t hype the music up so much as riff on the album’s suggestive title.

The opening line of the commercial is guaranteed to elicit giggles from longtime Eminem fans. “Fellas, are you tired of blowjobs like I am,” he asks with a straight face. The somber delivery and the music that accompanies him evokes a commercial about a serious health issue. “I think it’s time to take it back to the basics,” Eminem adds. “Who wants their d*ck sucked every day?! That sh*t can get to you, man.” The rapper proceeds to mime the sexual act that he’s grown so tired of. “It’s boring,” he exclaims. He does have a solution for those with the same affliction as him, though. And it’s the title of the new Dre and Snoop album.

Eminem Wants Listeners To Go “Back To Basics”

“Can we just lay down and f*ck?,” Eminem aggressively asks. “I don’t know why everything’s gotta be so f*cking complicated. You don’t have to put your leg over your head.” The rapper gives his endorsement to Snoop Dogg’s latest venture. He leaves listeners with another gem of a line: “Just f*cking. In stereo.” Eminem’s promotional game has been strong for most of 2024. The rollout for The Death of Slim Shady included memorable videos with the likes of 50 Cent and magician David Blaine. Em also sat down for a side-splitting interview with his aforementioned Slim Shady alter ego.

Eminem and Snoop Dogg are both Dr. Dre proteges, but they haven’t always been cool. The two rappers actually disliked each other for several years. Eminem told Pod Paul: Curtain Call 2 host Paul Rosenberg that the dislike stemmed from a misunderstanding back in 2000. It wasn’t until Dr. Dre suffered a health scare that Em and Snoop Dogg decided to squash their differences. “I don’t remember if I called him or he called me,” the rapper explained. “But we talked it out.”

Latto Stars In Light-Hearted Commercial For Drake’s NOCTA Brand

Latto had a gargantuan 2024. The rapper broke through in a big way courtesy of popular singles and an acclaimed studio album. She’s entered the pantheon of superstar female artists. And on Monday night, Latto decided to collaborate with Drake. Not for a song or even a live performance, but for a commercial. The rapper starred in a commercial for the Drake and Nike sub label NOCTA, and brought her typical swagger to the table.

The winking commercial sees Latto promote “Big Mama’s Mini Market.” She’s posed as the spokesperson for this fictional market, which sells nothing but NOCTA brand products. There’s NOCTA juice, cereal, and even deodorant. The commercial is shot and presented like a cheesy 90s ad, right down to the over-enthused voiceover. Latto helps to anchor the bit, though. She asks the viewer if they want a fly fit, before opening a refrigerator and showing off NOCTA shoes. The rapper works this real piece of promo in amidst promo of the aforementioned fictional products.

Latto Continues Her Winning Streak With Fun Appearance

Latto doesn’t get many chances to showcase her comedy chops, but they shine here. She delivers some absurd dialogue. She even has to stop her sales pitch because a microphone can be seen in the shot. Latto’s involvement in the NOCTA furthers her reputation as the “first lady of OVO.” Despite not being signed to Drake’s label, Latto has repeatedly been compared to the 6 God in terms of style and content. Her latest album, Sugar Honey Ice Tea, was likened to Drake’s early work, albeit with a female touch. The two have also proven to have chemistry on record, as evidenced by the song “Housekeeping Knows.”

Latto doesn’t seem to mind the comparisons. Drake may not be the most beloved rapper in the world right now, but he remains one of the most popular. He was the most streamed male rapper on Spotify in 2024, despite losing the Kendrick Lamar battle. Latto even got on social media to thank fans for mentioning them both in the same sentence. “Drake the goat,” she wrote in response to a fan’s tweet. Drake is in the midst of a legal battle involving UMG, Spotify and Kendrick Lamar. It makes sense why he wouldn’t want to be the one to do a NOCTA ad at the current moment. All that said, Latto crushed it.

LeBron James Raps To Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” In New Beats Commercial

LeBron James love to rap along to his favorite artists. It’s right up there with carrying books around. He loves rapping along to music so much, in fact, that he’ll do it even when he doesn’t know the words yet. James went viral at the beginning of June for posting a video of himself rapping a Gunna song, and fans noticed that he kept looking down at his phone and reading lyrics. Fortunately, James didn’t have to read the lyrics during his appearance in the new Beats commercial. He knew the lyrics that Beats threw at him by heart.

The commercial sees LeBron James show up to a party and gush over the brand new Pill +. He then hears Lil Wayne’s classic “A Milli” blasting out of the device. He raps along to the chorus before a hard cut to a release date for “The Predicament.” The titular collaboration between James and Beats is set for release on June 25. James and Wayne have known each other for over a decade, but the two icons have not always seen eye to eye. Lil Wayne told Rolling Stone that he had a falling out with James after James and Dwyane Wade failed to acknowledge his court side presence during a 2011 game.

LeBron James’ New Beats Collab Is Called “The Predicament”

“Them n**gas never speak to a n**ga,” Wayne told the the outlet. “They don’t chuck me the deuce or nothing. N**ga spent all that money on them f**king tickets … Come holla at me. We sit right by them little b**ch a*s n**gas. At least come ask me why I’m not rooting for you.” The athlete and the rapper settled their problems, however, and were back on good terms by 2012. Wayne has become such a James fan, in fact, that he compared himself to the legendary athlete during a 2023 appearance on Bleacher Report.

Wayne felt he brings the same strengths to the rap game that LeBron James does on the court. “I would say that I’m like a LeBron,” the rapper posited. “I dropped my first solo album when I was 14, and that’s the same album I’m talking about that went platinum. The phenom that came out and I stuck something that came out. And I’ve been doing this at this pace or higher ever since, just like him.” It’s hard to argue with Wayne’s longevity. And based on the fact that James is still rapping to his music in 2024, he’d likely agree.

Michelle Williams’ Uber One Ad Laughs Off Lack Of Destiny’s Child Recognition: Watch

Destiny’s Child wouldn’t have been what it was without the work of Michelle Williams, but still, the 44-year-old finds herself standing in Beyonce’s shadow all these years later. As a young woman striving to stand out in the entertainment industry, it couldn’t have been easy to constantly be compared to Queen B and Kelly Rowland, not to mention other contemporaries. Thankfully, Williams is now able to laugh off long-running jokes about her being DC’s “forgotten member.”

In recent months, both Bey and Rowland have been all over the news, the former for her highly anticipated Act II album, and the latter for her new Netflix Original film, Mea Culpa, directed by Tyler Perry. While Rowland shut down questions about the possibility of a Destiny’s Child reunion album while promoting her movie, Williams is welcoming opportunities to talk about her musical past, notably in a new commercial for Uber One, in which she addresses the disparity in attention she receives when compared to her counterparts.

Michelle Williams Collabs with Uber One

The Australian ad premiered on Monday (March 4), showing Williams walking through a park, coffee in hand. She eventually finds a bench to sit on, where she opens her Uber app to see how much money she’s saved. “OK, OK, my Uber One membership savings don’t disappoint,” the songstress declares. “You know what is disappointing? I was in one of the most iconic girl groups and no one recognizes me,” she adds. Afterward, a man conveniently calls out her name, generating an excited reaction, only for Williams to realize he was talking to his dog.

On the topic of Destiny’s Child, earlier this year, nearly all the historic girl group’s members were able to pose for a picture together for the first time. Farrah Franklin was absent, making the moment slightly less than perfect, but still, seeing how much the other five women have grown into themselves over the decades is sweet to see. Check out photos at the link below, and tap back in with HNHH later for more music/pop culture news updates.

Cam’ron Compares Drake To Michael Jackson: “You Got To Realize The Run He’s On”

Drake is easily one of Cam’ron’s favorite MCs of the contemporary era, something that he will probably never stop defending. Moreover, the Dipset MC recently covered GQ and made some interesting remarks about the 6ix God during his talk with the outlet. “When it’s somebody of Drake’s magnitude, you ought to show love,” he explained. “A lot of people want to criticize and say he’s [too] commercial. He’s the modern-day Michael Jackson that can also rap. You got to realize the type of run he’s on.” While some may not compare The Boy to The King Of Pop, it’s getting harder and harder to argue that the only thing separating their levels of success, influence, and acclaim is their eras.

Of course, they both have reasons as to why folks doubt their legacy as dominant forces in their respective fields. Some of it has to do with the music, and a lot of it has to do with their alleged actions and movement beyond it. Nevertheless, Drake still has a long way to go when it comes to reaching that same level of near-universal praise that MJ has. You may recall a recently fiery debate about whether or not he’s hip-hop, which Yasiin Bey kicked off with a strong argument in favor of the 37-year-old being more of a pop artist.

Drake Is The Modern-Day MJ, Cam’ron Argues

However, what the MC formerly known as Mos Def stated with his thoughts is exactly the reason why folks like Cam’ron praise Drake. He has been able to stay sharp and impressive from a pure hip-hop standpoint, albeit inconsistently, while also reaching pop highs that most other artists in the genre had never been able to get close to. What the New York lyricist is getting at is that the Toronto star’s impact and the doors he’s opened already warrants immediate respect and praise. Whether it’s a perfect fit or not doesn’t matter; he’s too big to not impact every facet of the game.

Meanwhile, Drizzy also reciprocates Killa Cam’s praise often, and you can always count on him to shout out his favorite MCs of then and of now. Would you go as far as to compare him to Michael Jackson? Let us know what you think about all these debates in the comments down below. Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Launch New Drink “Gin & Juice”: See Promo Videos

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre still have to release their collab album Missionary, but that’s not slowing them down in other areas. Moreover, they just released some promotional material for their brand new alcoholic drink, “Gin & Juice,” although we don’t know much about the product, release timeline, distribution, and other areas. One of the clips shows off the can itself, and it looks like it will be available in melon, apricot, citrus, and passionfruit flavors. The other commercial shows the two West Coast legends recreating the iconic opening scene from Martin Scorsese’s 1990 mob classic, Goodfellas. Hopefully the drink gets a pretty wide release, because so many folks out there want a taste of what Tha Doggfather was rapping about on his 1993 debut, Doggystyle.

Furthermore, it’s no surprise that these hip-hop titans would eventually want to release a drink together, especially after everything they already did in the pop culture sphere. It also represents Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s massive reach in the entertainment and business worlds. For example, one of the most notable parts of U2’s opening Las Vegas residency show at the Sphere was that the former Death Row duo showed up to party; no shade to Bono and the gang, though. It was just great to see them in an environment of success and notoriety for rap artists that they helped create.

Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s “Gin & Juice” Promos: Watch

Of course, they are both quite busy individually as well, both in their personal lives and in their careers. For example, Snoop Dogg recently made big headlines, along with Master P, for their legal action against Walmart. Apparently, the company attempted to sabotage the Snoop Cereal brand, and they’re currently in the opening stages of a legal battle to settle the matter. It’s definitely not what we expected from 2024, but in this day and age, nothing’s easy to predict.

Meanwhile, the star producer was honored, along with the rest of N.W.A., by the Grammys recently with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He wasn’t there for the ceremony, but did pull up to the actual televised awards handout that weekend. We’ll see where the road takes them next, and how much longer we’ll have to wait for Missionary. Kanye West Unveils Super Bowl Commercial For Yeezy: Watch

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures just came out, and it looks like this isn’t where the rollout will stop. Moreover, the former just unveiled a new Super Bowl commercial for Yeezy (here’s a Twitter link if he deletes it later), featuring a woman running on a treadmill as the Freddie Gibbs-assisted album cut “Back to Me” plays in the background. It’s a very simple and minimalist ad that we doubt will actually air during the game, given all of Ye’s controversies and issues with big brands as of late. Still, this is the same person that was able to host listening parties in big cities and big arenas, so maybe there’s a good chance that he’ll actually get a spot on national television.

Furthermore, this is contributing to the immense hype and excitement for Vultures finally dropping this weekend… for Apple Music users. Spotify still doesn’t have it, and as of writing this article, even Apple seemingly took it down, so how long Kanye West’s release will last is up in the air. Regardless, this commercial also highlights one of the most beloved aspects of this album so far in fans’ eyes: Freddie Gibbs’ feature verse. It’s probably the most universally praised part of this whole thing, in addition to other features and the production.

Kanye West’s Yeezy Super Bowl Ad: Watch

In fact, folks are talking about pretty much anything Kanye West did with this album except for the lyrics, which is normal because they’re hard to catch cohesively on first listens. It’s also because all of the drama surrounding this drop, and how folks are more interested in him making music than taking a stance on backlash. Alas, the Chicago artist still peppers his art with brash reminders of his views. The worst part is that the bars aren’t of a high enough quality to look past these leanings.

Meanwhile, do you think that this Super Bowl ad will actually hit households this Sunday? How does “Back to Me” compare to other cuts on Vultures like “Fuk Sumn“? Let us know your thoughts on all of this down in the comments section below. Also, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kanye West.

Tyler, The Creator Taps Lil Yachty For le FLEUR* Season 2 Commercial: Watch

Tyler, The Creator isn’t just one of music’s most visionary minds right now; his talents extend far beyond his biggest passion. Moreover, he recently released a commercial promoting the second season of his le FLEUR* luxury brand, an offshoot of his Converse collaborations and his Golf Wang brand. In the clip, the Hawthorne, California native stars as one of many crash-stricken bus passengers, all of whom are wearing the stylish and stunning new pieces for this drop. If you watch the video below and are interested in copping something, items from the collection will be available in select brand stores on Saturday (December 9), whereas it will fully be available online the following Wednesday (December 13).

However, one of the most notable parts of this ad is who else rode with Tyler, The Creator in that bus. At one point, the promo clip shows his good rap friend, the one and only Lil Yachty, in his new clothes. It’s quite the lavish but unsurprising link-up, as both artists expressed a lot of admiration for each other over the past year or so. Hopefully this isn’t the last fashion crossover that we see from them.

Tyler, The Creator’s le FLEUR* Season 2 Ad With Lil Yachty: Watch

What’s more is that Lil Yachty isn’t the only rap star to shout out the former Odd Future frontman recently. For example, Offset recently revealed to GQ how he influenced his solo album. “It was a year ago, at the Roc Nation brunch,” he said of his interaction with Tyler, The Creator. “I was telling him my vision of being a standout artist and a solo artist and reinventing myself. I was glorifying him, telling him, ‘I respect how you stay in character [for each album].’ He was like, ‘You should do it, too. N***as ain’t going to f**k with it at first, but n***as never f**k with the good s**t first. They always sleep on it, and then you show them throughout the process.’ I really took that s**t to head.”

Meanwhile, when it comes to the rap game, the Let’s Start Here creative is currently drumming up some controversy for his comments on negativity within it. It’s one of a few blasted statements he recently made on the culture right now, and it’s inspired a lot of debate. One thing’s for sure, though: these two stars love hip-hop, and despite doing so much more than just that genre and music in general, they are never afraid to speak their mind on it and push for higher quality– both within themselves, within each other, and with every other artist. For more news and the latest updates on Lil Yachty and Tyler, The Creator, stay posted on HNHH.

LeBron James Builds More Hype Around Playing With His Sons In Newest Beats Ad

LeBron James has appeared in some iconic commercials in the past. One of his most well-known advertisements came for Beats back in 2014. When he announced his return to the city of Cleveland and the Cavaliers franchise that summer, he and the premium audio brand came together to create a truly spectacular commercial. It featured Hozier’s hit song “Take Me to Church” and it was pure magic. This latest one from these two icons might be another one that will be etched into the history books for ads as well.

This one features LeBron, soccer talent for Manchester City, Erling Haaland, his dad, Savannah James, and her sons Bronny and Bryce. It is a really hard-hitting commercial with Savannah and Haaland’s dad leaving voicemails to their loved ones about the upcoming season. The most interesting part of it all is what Bron’s wife says to him. Uproxx is credited for the quotes from the ad. She says to him, “Tell them you’re not done until you play with your son.” The first cut goes to Bronny. Then, she challenges him further, “And then do that again.” After that it goes to Bryce.

LeBron James And Beats Did Their Thing With This One

It is public knowledge amongst basketball fans that LeBron wants to play with his sons, namely Bronny. However, it is not going to be the easiest of challenges to complete. Bronny recently had the health scare earlier this year, LeBron is in year 21, and Bryce is still in high school as a three-star recruit. While we await to see if that will play out, this ad certainly gets us amped that it will happen.

What are your initial thoughts on this newest commercial from Beats featuring LeBron James and his sons, Bronny and Bryce? Do you think James will be able to continue to play in the NBA long enough for him to play with both of his boys? Will both kids get drafted to a team and will LeBron be able to play with either of them? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around LeBron James, as well as everything else going on around the sports world.
