Beats Unveils 'The King & The Viking' Campaign with LeBron James and Erling Haaland

Beats, the renowned audio brand, has launched its latest campaign, The King & The Viking, bringing together NBA Champion LeBron James and Premier League sensation Erling Haaland. This campaign showcases the power of music and marks Haaland’s official entry into the Beats family as a brand ambassador.

In the campaign film, both athletes face immense pressure to surpass expectations. Despite operating in different worlds, their stories of perseverance beautifully complement one another. Family and legacy motivate both, as Savannah James and Alfie Haaland share profound words of wisdom with their loved ones, urging them to conquer doubt and use pressure as a catalyst for success.

Furthermore, the James family’s legacy with Beats continues to thrive, with Savannah, Bryce, and Zhuri James becoming part of the brand’s roster, marking the first-ever family signing for Beats. LeBron James, who has been a Beats ambassador since 2008, has played a significant role in shaping the brand’s ambassador program, while Bronny James made history as its first high school athlete in 2022.

“I’m excited to join the Beats family, a brand that has long been a part of my pre-match routine as an athlete,” said Erling Haaland. “Family is important to me, and this campaign and partnership really speak to that.”

“It’s a pretty special thing to see how this partnership has grown with our family over the years,” said LeBron James. “It’s a blessing for me to share the stage with them, and with a brand that’s been part of our lives since we started this journey. Family means everything to me!”

The campaign also features Beats’ new Studio series, with LeBron and Erling wearing Beats Studio Pro, and Savannah and Alfie sporting Beats Studio Buds +. For more information on product availability, visit beatsbydre.com.

LeBron James Builds More Hype Around Playing With His Sons In Newest Beats Ad

LeBron James has appeared in some iconic commercials in the past. One of his most well-known advertisements came for Beats back in 2014. When he announced his return to the city of Cleveland and the Cavaliers franchise that summer, he and the premium audio brand came together to create a truly spectacular commercial. It featured Hozier’s hit song “Take Me to Church” and it was pure magic. This latest one from these two icons might be another one that will be etched into the history books for ads as well.

This one features LeBron, soccer talent for Manchester City, Erling Haaland, his dad, Savannah James, and her sons Bronny and Bryce. It is a really hard-hitting commercial with Savannah and Haaland’s dad leaving voicemails to their loved ones about the upcoming season. The most interesting part of it all is what Bron’s wife says to him. Uproxx is credited for the quotes from the ad. She says to him, “Tell them you’re not done until you play with your son.” The first cut goes to Bronny. Then, she challenges him further, “And then do that again.” After that it goes to Bryce.

LeBron James And Beats Did Their Thing With This One

It is public knowledge amongst basketball fans that LeBron wants to play with his sons, namely Bronny. However, it is not going to be the easiest of challenges to complete. Bronny recently had the health scare earlier this year, LeBron is in year 21, and Bryce is still in high school as a three-star recruit. While we await to see if that will play out, this ad certainly gets us amped that it will happen.

What are your initial thoughts on this newest commercial from Beats featuring LeBron James and his sons, Bronny and Bryce? Do you think James will be able to continue to play in the NBA long enough for him to play with both of his boys? Will both kids get drafted to a team and will LeBron be able to play with either of them? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around LeBron James, as well as everything else going on around the sports world.

Metro Boomin Revisits When He Lost Three Future Beats Due To Power Outage

Even the best beatmaking machines out there- whether it’s controllers, drum machines, or samplers- still need a power source to function. If you’re hammering out some beats on one, and all of a sudden the power goes out and you haven’t saved them, they’re lost forever. Still, this is something that producers deal with all the time, and Metro Boomin recently went through this rite of passage again. Specifically, it happened to three instrumentals he was making for Future a couple of months ago. During a recent Billboard interview, the St. Louis native recalled what that experience was like.

“They was beats I was making for the next time I see [Future], and they was going cr*zy,” Metro Boomin told interviewer Tetris Kelly. “Boom, boom, boom. And I just came from Atlanta, and there was a storm. One of my beat machines that I use…. It’s not like a computer. It’s old-school, so it’s plugged up. The power goes out, and you haven’t saved it, that’s it. Sometimes, if I’m so far into something and that happens, then I’ll just be like, ‘Alright, I just gotta do something.’ And that usually be a blessing in disguise, I’ve done learned. ’Cause the next thing be like, ‘Oh man, I wouldn’t have had this if I hadn’t lose this.’”

Furthermore, this happened to the HEROES & VILLAINS mastermind back in August, and he tweeted as such. “Just made 3 [fire] beats on my MPC 3000 and the power just went off at the crib I didn’t even get to record them in yet. I’m finna go cry myself to sleep bye y’all,” Metro Boomin shared with his followers on the social media platform. As he mentioned, either way he ended up striking gold with another set of beats, and we can only dream of what his collab album with Future will bring.

Meanwhile, has this every happened to you if you produce? Are you excited for Metro Pluto or for other projects that Metro’s involved in? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, stick around on HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Metro Boomin and Future.

Spotify’s RapCaviar Releases List Of The 50 Best Hip-Hop Beats

After a few other controversial hip-hop lists dropped this year, yet another debatable list is here for fans to discuss in celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. Moreover, Spotify’s RapCaviar just unveiled its list of the 50 greatest beats of all time in the genre. While it does lean towards more classic fare from the 1980s, 1990s, and the 2000s, there are still some modern names that made the cut. As such, at first glance, the list seems quite fair to all eras and genres. Even though it probably missed the mark in a few areas for many out there, isn’t that conversation what makes a great list?

Regardless, here are the top ten beats of all time according to Spotify’s RapCaviar, from number ten to number one. First up are “Get Ur Freak On” by Missy Elliott, “SICKO MODE” by Travis Scott, and “Still Trippin’” by Mike Jones. Furthermore, spots seven through five are held by “It’s All About The Benjamins (Remix)” by Puff Daddy & The Family, “POWER” by Kanye West, and “A Milli” by Lil Wayne. Following that are “Who Shot Ya?” by Biggie Smalls, “Grindin’” by Clipse, and “Shook Ones, Pt. II” by Mobb Deep.

Spotify & RapCaviar’s List Of Hip-Hop’s Best Beats Of All Time

Finally, the greatest hip-hop beat of all time (according to Spotify’s RapCaviar) is “Still D.R.E.” by Dr. Dre. What’s more is that the legendary producer also got the top spot on Rolling Stone‘s list of the best West Coast rap songs. In both cases, it’s quite understandable, although Rolling Stone picked “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang” over “Still D.R.E.” That key line alone is one of the most iconic melodies and intros in the whole genre, but we’re sure that you have a better number one pick in the comments.

Meanwhile, other names included in this list are Kendrick Lamar, Wu-Tang Clan, Future, Shawty Lo, Chief Keef, and many more. Some of the standout beats that missed out on the top ten are “Paid In Full” by Eric B. and Rakim, “Cell Therapy” by Goodie Mob, and “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” by DMX. You can check out the full list by Spotify’s RapCaviar in the tweet above or in the via link below. After you take a peep, let us know in the comments what beats deserve higher placement or missed out altogether. As always, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news, updates, and conversations in hip-hop culture.

Nipsey Hussle’s Estate Beats $5 Million Lawsuit

Nipsey Hussle’s estate previously faced a lawsuit from Los Angeles-based singer Tasleema Yasin. Moreover, she claimed to be an uncredited co-author on the late MC’s single “Hussle & Motivate,” and had collaborated with Nip on multiple occasions before his death. In said lawsuit, Yasin maintained that she wrote a “prominent vocal phrase” and worked on the Victory Lap cut’s chorus and countermelody. However, legal documents obtained by AllHipHop indicate that a judge dismissed said $5 million suit. From what these suggest, Yasin failed to prosecute within a given timeframe and lost the opportunity to reach a settlement.

Furthermore, reports show that the singer sought an unspecified amount of cash at first, waiting on accounting details from Nipsey Hussle’s label. According to these legal docs, the rapper’s legal team offered an initial settlement of $100,000 to Yasin. In addition, they packaged in a ten percent share of the master royalties from “Hussle & Motivate” plus three other cuts. However, when she alleged they didn’t honor these terms, she sought damages of $7.5 million and later offered to settle for $5 million.

Nipsey Hussle’s Estate Beats “Hussle & Motivate” Lawsuit

After this development, the judge required Yasin to serve the summons and complaint via a court order. To elaborate, she had 90 days after she filed the complaint to properly prosecute Nipsey Hussle’s team. Despite that precedent, Yasin reportedly failed to do so and did not respond to the order. As such, she could not show cause in writing by the April 4 deadline. Unfortunately for Yasin, the judge dismissed the case due to a lack of prosecution earlier this week, ending this legal battle for the rapper’s family and estate.

While it proved to be an unfortunate and complicated situation, at least it’s something that won’t bother Nip’s surviving colleagues any longer. Also, this comes just a couple of weeks after millions around the world remembered his tragic loss on the fourth anniversary of his death. His partner Lauren London shared some touching words on Instagram to commemorate the occasion and give life to Nipsey’s legacy. For more on Nipsey Hussle and his incredible impact and influence long after he’s gone, check back in with HNHH.
