Conway The Machine And Wun Two Match Each Other’s Vibes On “Palermo”

Conway the Machine’s motor is something that has to be commended. Even though some may feel he goes overboard by dropping so frequently, he manages to put out quality. The messages from each album are all fairly similar too. However, each one is meticulously put together. That is especially true on the production side.

For Conway’s fourth album and fifth project overall, he teams up with a German-born producer who goes by Wun Two. This their first time working together and it comes in the form of Palermo. Plenty of tracks were put out ahead of its release. “Brick by Brick” got the ball rolling. The, after that, Conway and Wun Two would drop “Montagna,” “Cosca,” and “Mind Tricks.”

One of the things that Conway is great at is rapping over slow-mo boom-bap and jazz rap beats. He picked a great partner to craft the sounds because he does well here too. Most of them possess a hazy and lo-fi like tinge to them, which come together to provide some haunting vibes as well. It is another solid effort from Conway and Wun Two does well bringing some unique ear candy.

Curren$y, Trauma Tone, And Don Toliver Have The Perfect Track For The Nighttime With “Coming Home”

Curren$y knows how to curate solid tracks for when you want to kick back and blaze it up. Additionally, he provides music for the nighttime drives with the windows down in the summer. On his most recent tape, he delivers on that. Just this past weekend, the Louisiana rapper came through with Highway 600.

It is a nine-song collaborative tape that sees the veteran team up with Trauma Tone. The Virginia-born producer worked alongside Kino Beats to conjure up “Coming Home.” It has a Southern hip-hop tinge that perfectly suits the feature on it. Don Toliver continues his strong guest appearance run here too.

Shockingly, the crooner is not on the hook for this song. He spits a verse but it still does a good job deviating from Curren$y’s deep and raspy delivery. If you are looking for a track that fits the vibes we mentioned, this one is for you. You can listen to it with the YouTube link above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Coming Home,” by Trauma Tone, Curren$y, and Don Toliver? Is this the best track on Highway 600, why or why not? Quotable Lyrics:

In a ’96 Impala, Forgiattos, paper tags
On the gas, got a squadron motor growlin’ when I pass
If you spot me then just holla, I can’t stop, I gotta mash

Rollin’ fire with my staff, parking lot full of that
It’s just so cold, you don’t even know what you’re lookin’ at

Dave East And Cruch Calhoun Team Up For “30 For 30”

East Harlem, New York rapper Dave East is another of those grimy lyricists that just produces consistency. Since 2010, he has been dropping tons of projects, sometimes multiple times a year. 2023 has been another one of the instances for East. Back in the middle of July, he dropped a lengthy project, Fortune Favors the Bold.

That tape brought on the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, Jadakiss, G-Eazy, Tyga, Coi Leray, Cordae, Ghostface Killah, and more. His aggressive tone across a good deal of the tracks is something that fans have been accustomed to for years and it delivered in a big way. Now, with the success of that album, he is back with presumably one more before the end of 2023. However, he is not doing it alone.

Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s hyped collaborative record, Welcome 2 Collegrove, is finally here. Both legends have been dropping nuggets about the project for a few months and now it is here. From the cover art to the singles we have gotten, Wayne and Chainz know how to ramp up anticipation for a release.

Adding to the aura around this album are all of the collaborations on it. One of the coolest things is seeing 50 Cent having a hand in narrating. Then, you check out the guest appearances. That is no different here on what we believe is one of the best cuts, “Oprah & Gayle.” According to Genius, the song was teased about three years ago. Let us just say we are happy it got to see the light of day. Everyone delivers witty and fun bars over an East Coast-like beat with deep piano keys and twinkling synths. It gives off a grand feel and with the bars that everyone is providing it makes for an enjoyable listen.

Boosie Badazz Speaks On Why Collaboration Album With T.I. Never Came To Be: “I Just F****d It Up”

About a month ago, legendary Atlanta rapper and trap pioneer, T.I. announced his retirement from music. He did so on the We In Miami podcast and it shook the music world. He revealed why he felt it was the right time to move on. Mostly, it was to explore other avenues. In addition, T.I. also said that he would be closing out his career with a double album with a unique feature from NBA Youngboy. However, maybe the most interesting subheader is that his collab record with Boosie Badazz may never come out.

“The time that we had allotted for it we kinda passed by it.” However, he did not totally shut the door. He said, “Not saying that the window can’t present itself again. We have a very healthy relationship.” That is good to hear especially after some of their recent disagreements and harsh words for each other. We were not too sure what T.I. meant by that he and Boosie passed by it, but now we do.

Boosie Badazz Takes Blame For His Collab With T.I. Not Dropping

According to HipHopDX, Boosie went on The Breakfast Club recently and they asked him about the duo tape. The Louisiana rapper had a similar answer to his friend, but he took the fall for it not coming to fruition. “I called him about a month ago and asked him what’s up with it. I think it’s just, like, on the back-burner right now, but it’s damn near done, bro.” He heartbreakingly goes on, “I think I’m more excited on driving it than Tip. Y’know, Tip locked in with these movies, but man, me and Tip made a hell of a[n] album. I just f****d it up.”

What are your initial thoughts on Boosie Badazz revealing that he was to blame for him and T.I.’s album not dropping? Do you think this is a massive mistake for Boosie’s career? Do you still want this to eventually come out? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Drake And 21 Savage Now Have The Most Streamed Collab Rap Album Over “Watch The Throne”

Drake and 21 Savage are some of the biggest hitmakers of this generation. On top of that, they may be the biggest for the hip-hop genre. This is the argument that many use for Drake to give him the greatest rapper of all time title. To some, that is certainly a hot take. Especially, when you consider the fact that a good amount will argue he is not in the upper echelon when it comes to rapping and artistry.

However, you cannot deny that Drake has plenty of iconic tracks and albums. A solid amount of those land on one of his most recent tapes, Her Loss. The 2022 project with 21 has cuts like “Rich Flex,” “P***y & Millions,” “Major Distribution,” “Spin Bout U,” and plenty of others. With songs like this, it was only a matter of time before this collaborative record broke some sort of record.

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akademiks)

That day is today. We have just discovered that it has just become the most streamed collab rap tape ever. It passes up notable efforts such as both Savage Mode‘s, and Kids See Ghosts, among others. However, easily the biggest competition on this list is Watch The Throne by Kanye West and Jay-Z. Her Loss has 2.7 billion streams, while Ye and Jay sit at 2.6 billion. That tape is seen by quite a large sum of listeners to be the best team effort ever. This makes it all the more impressive that an album that is just a little over a year old has already moved past it. In fact, it took only 372 days to reach that mark. Congratulations to Drake and 21 Savage and everyone else involved!

What are your initial thoughts on Drake and 21 Savage now possessing the highest-streamed collaboration album of all time? Conway The Machine And Wun Two Share Their Second Single, “Montagna,” From “PALERMO” With Goosebytheway

Conway the Machine and Wun Two are ramping things up once again after the release of their single, “Brick by Brick,” two weeks ago. What we have come to discover is that it is the lead song for the rapper and producer’s upcoming collaboration project, PALERMO. The prolific New York MC has worked with tons of talented producers in the past. These past two tracks have been their first works together.

Interestingly, Conway has not promoted the record at all, but Wun Two has. If you go to the producer’s Instagram, he has a pinned post about it from October 26. The caption for it reads, “Today I have the pleasure to announce a new project with @whoisconway. Together we have a record coming with 10 wonderful tracks. The record is called ‘PALERMO.’ And will be released on ‘DECEMBER 22.’” He continues with a hilarious list of equipment used to record the record.

“Our record requires only the simplest of equipment: An ordinary phonograph needle. A four-inch speaker. And a 38-caliber revolver. Naturally, the record is long-playing. Even though you may not be.” The duo has their second single out for the tape now, called “Montagna.” This one features one of the three guest verses from one of Conway’s frequent collaborators, Goosebytheway.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Conway the Machine, Wun Two, and Goosebytheway, “Montagna?” Between this and “Brick by Brick,” which track is better?
