Rick Ross & Trick Trick Settle Their Beef Onstage

While many Rick Ross and Drake fans think they won’t reconcile, some have hope thanks to the former’s recent actions. For those unaware, Rozay and Detroit rapper Trick Trick have had beef since around 2014, when Ross was allegedly banned from performing at Summer Jamz in the city. He allegedly feared for his life per HipHopDX due to the 100-person blockade that Trick led to stop him from performing, which also allegedly included a no fly zone thanks to his alleged disrespect of the city. But that’s all over now. Moreover, the two squashed their beef with the help of Death Row Records cofounder Michael “Harry O” Harris.

Furthermore, Harry O organized the Community First Action concert in Pontiac, Michigan on Tuesday (September 17). He introduced the two and they embraced onstage before Rick Ross performed his 2010 track “I’m Not A Star.” While this is very heartening to see, we know that he’s dealing with a lot of other beefs right now, ones that he might have to try really hard to squash if he wants to. One of these is with Ross’ ex Tia Kemp, who recently accused him of ordering hits out on people.

Rick Ross & Trick Trick Squash Their Beef

Nevertheless, here’s what Rick Ross had to say about burying the hatchet with Trick Trick on Instagram. “I want to take time out and salute the ones really making a difference in the community,” he shared. “The big homie Harry O, what you doing with Community First, I love it. You flying me out last night, you having Trick Trick bring me out on stage. I’m sure everybody knows me and Trick Trick had our differences for over a decade and here we are just moving forward, doing big things in the community. We got some more big things coming.”

Rozay Speaks

Meanwhile, speaking of feuds, here’s what Rick Ross said about his scuffle with OVO fans earlier this year. “We got our paper, we got to the jet and, as a matter of fact, we went and had some Wingstop, so that was light work,” he told Yung Miami on Caresha Please. “I ain’t even tripping ’cause like, I told them, ‘Y’all n***as did that like a G. Everybody got to the crib. That’s what it’s about.’ […] We had a conversation. ‘Let’s get back to the money.’ All my homies that usually travel with me, them the n***as that was upset. They was more upset than us.”

Tia Kemp Implicates Rick Ross In Murder And Accuses Him Of Putting Out Hits On People

Tia Kemp and Rick Ross don’t really like each other very much, and things between the former couple and coparents of an 18-year-old got even more contentious over the years. What for? Well, pretty much every reason you could think of. Regardless, things between them don’t tend to turn in dark directions since they just keep things to social media trolls and other attacks. But Kemp’s recent accusations against the rapper, accusing him of participating in murder and putting hits out on people, might make this an even more combative and irreconcilable relationship moving forward. Hopefully none of this is true and they can handle this behind the scenes.

“So we finna clock this tea right here, Renee,” Tia Kemp responded to Rick Ross’ sister Tawanda Roberts on Instagram amid Roberts’ claims that Kemp is vindictively attacking her. “Since you want to stay keeping up s**t, we finna talk about some real tea. Your brother over there paying people to put hits out and n***as running off with his money, and it’s getting back to me. So now, I’m finna send the feds over there to y’all motherf***ing empire.

Tia Kemp’s Rant Against Rick Ross

“Next, we’re going to talk about Miss Carol’s murder,” Tia Kemp continued regarding Rick Ross. “Y’all know who Miss Carol is. You know that’s behind your brother. I’m finna make sure her family sues y’all whole estate ’cause that case [did] not [close]. You know the lady that was killed leaving from my momma house getting her hair done that time. And it’s behind your brother and his drama. You know that. You know! ‘Bout that man who was killed in front of Black house.”

“Don’t be scared now!” Tia Kemp had previously expressed online while attacking Rick Ross for his connections to Diddy. “No Diddy. You scared now, huh? I know you on them tapes. Freaky b***h. I know you is. 10 children having motherf***er. I ain’t gonna let off you … What you quiet for? Nobody wants to see your Louis [Vuitton] outfits and sneakers, b***h. Nobody don’t don’t care to see the jets no more. You running out of h*es now. Go over there and give Diddy a hug. Go ride the bike with him, you fat b***h.” Ross has yet to respond to these allegations at press time.

Playboi Carti Seemingly Takes Shots At Lucki In Cryptic Instagram Promo

Playboi Carti is really coming out of his shell. The rapper has spent most of his career dodging interviews and anything resembling a normal rollout. It’s been a long time since fans have even heard him say more than a few words at a time. All that changed on September 18, though. Playboi Carti uploaded a video to Instagram in which he teased his upcoming single and trash-talked another rapper. Carti fails to mention any names, but all signs point to his target being Lucki.

Playboi Carti posts up in a parking lot and seemingly rambles for a minute and a half. He mentions the title of his upcoming collab with The Weeknd, “Timeless,” but he seemed more intent on mocking his ops. “Should’ve signed to the O,” the rapper asserts. “I ain’t worried bout nobody, n****s can talk, say whatever they wanna say about me.” The “O,” is of course, a reference to Carti’s label, Opium Records. Lucki has not only had beef with Carti over the last few weeks, but with another Opium artist, Destroy Lonely, as well. Lucki and Lonely argued over a woman on Instagram Live, which eventually snowballed into a conflict with label boss Carti.

Playboi Carti Claims Not To Care What Others Think

Playboi Carti and Lucki have been engaged in a start-and-stop beef throughout September. The former thought Lucki was sneak-dissing him, which led to Lucki reaching out and clarifying his stance. The two men had a DM exchange, which Playboi Carti eventually shared on IG. “Like I said from the jump, I don’t dislike you,” Lucki explained. The rapper explained that his social media post proclaiming “crosses up” was not intended for Carti, or any of the artists on the Opium label. That said, Lucki did poke fun at the Opium boss by suggesting he was sensitive. “You just insecure because you don’t love Jesus like that,” Lucki concluded.

Playboi Carti may still be annoyed with Lucki, but he has a lot more going on than a petty squabble. The rapper is currently rolling out his first album in four years. “All Red” has been well-received by fans, even though some feel the single sounds a bit too much like Future. The rapper also confirmed that a video for the song is coming soon. It’ll be interesting to see if Carti carries the trash talk over to the album. If so, then Lucki might be catching a few strays on wax.

Nicki Minaj Seemingly Addresses JAY-Z Feud By Tweeting Old Lyrics

Nicki Minaj courts controversy. It’s what she does. She has a list of beefs a mile long, and seemingly adds to it with each passing year. Minaj turned up the heat, however, even by her standards, when it came to JAY-Z. She destroyed the Roc Nation boss for not choosing Lil Wayne as the Halftime Show performer at the next Super Bowl. The rapper’s anger quickly turned back on her, though, as fans and industry commentators criticized her for making the Halftime controversy about her.

Nicki Minaj took a step back following the backlash, and laid low on social media. She resurfaced on September 18, and did so by tweeting lyrics from an old song of hers. The song in question in titled “All Things Go.” It’s a softer, more melodic selection from her 2014 album The Pinkprint, but the lyrics are very much applicable to the way Minaj is being perceived right now. “Lemme make this clear,” she raps. “I’m not difficult I’m just bout my business. I’m not into fake industry parties and fake agendas.” Minaj is potentially drawing a line in the sand between her authenticity and the “fake industry” that someone like JAY-Z represents, at least in her eyes.

Nicki Minaj Criticizes The “Fake Agendas” Of Other Rappers

Nicki Minaj’s closing line also seems carefully repurposed. “Rock with ppl for how they make me feel,” she adds. “Not what they give me.” Once again, a line is seemingly drawn between those she is on the side of and those she isn’t. She’s repeatedly stood up for Young Money artists like Drake and Lil Wayne, aka the people she rocks with. The second part of the line could be interpreted as a response to the viral tweet Memphis Bleek sent out in the midst of the Halftime Show controversy. Bleek reposted a video of Hov claiming that rappers get mad at him for “things he didn’t do” for them.

By asserting that Nicki Minaj isn’t concerned with what other people “give” her, she’s basically rebuking Memphis Bleek’s critiques. This is a more cryptic approach than fans are used to seeing from the rapper. She usually has no problem getting on Instagram Live or Twitter and roasting her target for hours on end. Minaj has bigger fish to fry at the moment, though. The rapper and her husband were recently accused of dodging payments on a $500K settlement involving a security guard. The guard claimed the rapper threw a shoe at his head after a 2019 concert.

Diddy’s Alleged Plot To Blow Up Kid Cudi’s Car Revealed Amid Arraignment

Diddy allegedly set fire to Kid Cudi’s car by dropping a Molotov cocktail through the roof, according to prosecutors who referenced the incident in a 16-page letter arguing against letting the Bad Boy mogul out on bail. While Cudi isn’t mentioned by name, a number of the details line up with Cassie’s previous lawsuit against Diddy, in which she admitted to having “a brief relationship” with Cudi. She claimed that Diddy plotted to blow up Cudi’s car in response.

The state’s new letter reads: “In the early morning hours of December 22, 2011, the defendant [Diddy] and a co-conspirator kidnapped an individual at gunpoint to facilitate breaking into and entering the residence of another (‘Individual-1’). Multiple witnesses would testify at trial to the events surrounding the kidnapping and break-in, the latter of which is corroborated by police reports and other records.”

“Approximately two weeks later, the defendant’s co-conspirators set fire to Individual-1’s vehicle by slicing open the car’s convertible top and dropping a Molotov cocktail inside the interior,” it further alleges. “Police and fire department records extensively document the arson and conclude that the fire was intentionally set.”

Diddy ended up not being able to get out on bail and is currently behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, still intends to appeal the case. He told reporters outside the courtroom: “He’s going to clear his name. And we’re going to stand by his side as he does. We believe in him wholeheartedly.” Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

Cam’ron Calls Out Shannon Sharpe For Only Getting Advice From White Men

Ever since the viral Shannon Sharpe sex tape “accident”, some people online have been incredibly skeptical. One of those is rapper and sports talk host, Cam’ron. The de facto leader of the It Is What It Is program has raised questions, essentially asking how Shannon did this by mistake and why would he do such a thing. Overall, he feels that it was completely staged, and that the ex-NFL tight end was looking to go viral again. The Club Shay Shay founder has vehemently denied that was the case on multiple occasions. But Cam’ron didn’t stop there with Shannon Sharpe. Not too long ago, he recreated the wild incident by “having sex in a car”, which got more unbelievable by the second.

However, the Dipset MC is done teasing the ESPN employee now. Instead, him and the rest of his panel are feeling some type of way about some recent comments that Sharpe made. The latter was addressing all of the people (including Cam indirectly) that were claiming this sex tape was done on purpose. Essentially, Shannon doesn’t understand why others are coming to this conclusion. Especially when he knows he could lose tons of money from sponsors and advertisers for his podcast. He says he could understand the skepticism if his platform was trying to gain a bigger audience. But otherwise, he’s not trying to hear that. However, who he would listen to in the space are names like “Joe Rogan”, “Alex Cooper”, and “The Kelce brothers”, Jason & Travis.

Cam’ron Is Not Joking Around With Shannon Sharpe Anymore

He mentioned these names because Sharpe feels their shows are above his and he would listen to their criticism because of that. That comment right there is what got Cam and Ma$e in particular to unleash. The former took Shannon’s statement in a racial manner, saying that he’s only going to listen to the “white man”. Ma$e made sure to take it a step further saying that Shannon was trying to convey that “everybody black is beneath him”. Shannon may not have meant it like that, but it will be interesting to see if he addresses these remarks.

What are your thoughts on Cam’ron calling out Shannon Sharpe for saying he would only listen to certain podcasts criticisms of the sex tape mishap? Who do you think is wrong here and why? Do you still think it was an accident or was it staged? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Lil Woody Calls Out Charleston White For Trash-Talking Him During Interviews

Lil Woody has become an infamous figure in hip hop. He’s become much better known, but for all the wrong reasons. Woody, aka YSL Woody, has been described as the “star witness” in the YSL Rico case against Young Thug. He’s run into a lot of disrespect from his peers as a result. He traded verbal shots with other YSL members on social media. Now, it seems, he’s airing out his mangled relationship with hip hop personality Charleston White.

Lil Woody sat down with Adam22 to discuss his falling out with White in detail. He admitted that he used to be cool with White, but felt that the hip hop personality was being two-faced when he got on camera. “I had a lot of respect for him,” Lil Woody stated. “I used to watch his interviews and stuff, on YouTube.” Where things went awry, though, is when Charleston White started labeling Woody a “killer.” He also started talking poorly about the rapper to his Instagram audience. “He getting on the internet, [talkin’ about] I’m a killer,” he noted. “Like dang, bro, me and don’t talk about none of this stuff.”

Lil Woody Warned White To “Stop Playing”

Lil Woody said that his respect for Charleston White dwindled after he noticed the latter paining him in a consistently negative light. “I had [love] for you,” he recalled. “I thought that you had that same thing for me. But you wanna get on these platforms and say I’m a killer.” Woody felt that White’s handling of the situation between them has been intentional as a means of provoking him. He pointed to a specific Instagram post in which White tried to start beef between Lil Woody and Boozie Badazz. The rapper made it clear that he did want to have “problems” with anybody.

Lil Woody may be a lightning rod for controversy. That said, he told Adam22 that he wants to put all that behind him. “I ain’t out here trying to mess with nobody,” he insisted. “I done did that for too many years of my life. I’m trying to move forward with it.” Lil Woody made it clear that he doesn’t play when he has beef with someone, and he feels like White is not ready to get into a real confrontation. He effectively warned White to drop the antics. “I know how I can get,” he warned the hip hop personality. “And you playing.” Hopefully the two men can reconcile.

Nicki Minaj Responds To Super Bowl Halftime Show Producer’s Claim That Jay-Z Picks The Artist

Nicki Minaj has arguably been Lil Wayne’s strongest defender amid the Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl halftime show controversy. She blasted Jay-Z for the supposedly hate-fueled decision to not appoint Lil Wayne for the New Orleans stage next year. All of these details and many more are still unclear. But we got a new claim to add to these contradictions. Jesse Collins, a producer for the spectacle since 2021, recently claimed that Hov is the one who has final say in what artists perform, and that the show is largely of his own design.

It’s a decision that Jay makes,” Jesse Collins said of the Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and Kendrick Lamar controversy. “Since we’ve been on board with that show, he’s made it every year, and it’s been amazing. He’s always picked right!” Nicki Minaj reacted to this by replying to a report on the matter with a laughing emoji on Twitter. Even though we don’t know what she’s exactly laughing at here, we can make a pretty obvious assumption that she still blames him at least partially for what went down.

Also, Nicki Minaj’s disdain for Jay-Z extends to other business dealings, primarily how she allegedly never saw a dime for partnering with his TIDAL streaming service. This is all a bit tragic but also unsurprising to see given the very complicated relationship between Young Money and the Roc, which extends to the rest of the rap world. Regardless of where you fall on that Super Bowl debate, seeing the late 2000s and early 2010s implode among itself in 2024 has been one of the most significant rap moments of the year.

“This too, shall pass,” Nicki Minaj penned to Lil Wayne. “But what you have done for the hip-hop culture will remain. It will stand the TEST of time. Many times our greatest & most dehumanizing test is just a way for God to get the glory. You were simply used in a war of egos. To ppl who are empty inside, all they have is their temporary power.” We’ll see how this ends…

50 Cent Trolls Desiigner By Resurfacing His Infamous Freestyle For Funkmaster Flex

50 Cent trolled Desiigner on Instagram on Monday amid his ongoing feud with the rapper. In doing so, he resurfaced the Brooklyn native’s 2017 freestyle for Funkmaster Flex, for which was virally criticized at the time. “Sometimes you don’t have to say anything at all. [anguished face emoji] ok moving right along!” 50 wrote in the caption.
