The boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti brought about more than one unexpected brawl. First, there was the incident between both boxers’ teams that finished their fight in chaos, but there were other behind-the-scenes incidents that saw similar wildness. Moreover, rappers and reality stars Joseline Hernandez (of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”) and Big Lex (of “Joseline’s Cabaret”) got into a heated altercation backstage that turned into a nasty fight between the two. By the end, a huge crowd tried to split the two up, but to no avail, as Lex ended up on the floor and topless at a certain point. Just a couple hours after video of the incident broke, authorities arrested Hernandez on battery, trespassing, and obstruction with violence charges.
Furthermore, we advise folks to take a look at the video with caution, as there’s some rough kicks and punches in there. Unfortunately, it’s far from the first time that either star saw themselves in the middle of an altercation. After all, those kinds of moments are what bring a lot of conversation and viewership, for better or worse. Considering the pretty immediate consequences in this particular case, it’s decidedly more in the latter camp.
For example, apparently Joseline Hernandez got into it with Amber Rose following a conversation on racial identity. “Joseline, stop identifying me,” Amber told Hernandez in a trailer for College Hill: Celebrity Edition. “I identify myself and let you know who that is. If you gon’ check me, then check me!” When Joseline responded with, “You know what your problem is?! Your problem is that you really wanna be a white girl,” Rose stood up and started heading towards her. Perhaps the earlier point on viewership is starting to change, as BET said that they will not air the fight out of respect.
Meanwhile, hopefully this doesn’t affect the dropped $25 million lawsuit against Hernandez concerning the “Baddies” reunion fight. It seemed like things would be able to clear up after the incident, especially considering that she wants to leave Zeus. Regardless, it was quite the nasty situation that many wish will become less frequent as these incidents get nastier. For more on Joseline Hernandez and Big Lex, check back in with HNHH.
Gervonta Davis is one of the best boxers in the world. With a 29-0 record, world championships in three weight classes, and a recent win over the previously undefeated Ryan Garcia, Davis’s resume speaks for itself. However, despite a long list of successes within the ring, controversy, scandals, and arrests have plagued Gervonta’s public image.
At the beginning of June of 2023, Davis was taken into custody at Baltimore Central Booking. Gervonta was already on house arrest for three months after a hit-and-run incident. However, he allegedly violated the conditions of his home confinement, leading to his incarceration. It now seems that Davis will have to serve the rest of his sentence in jail. Unfortunately, this most recent incident is just one in a long line of scandals for Gervonta Davis. Here’s a look at Gervonta Davis’s biggest scandals and arrests.
February 2020: Charge Of Simple Battery Domestic Violence
Davis was arrested on February 4, 2020 on the University of Miami’s campus due to an altercation with his daughter’s mother. In a video of the altercation, Davis is seen grabbing a woman near her neck and pulling her out of her seat at a charity basketball game during Super Bowl weekend. In the arrest affidavit, the victim of the assault claimed that Davis struck her in the face-off camera, and there were injuries on the victim’s face that confirmed this.
Despite this, Gervonta Davis denied the allegations on social media. He wrote, “I never once hit her, yea I was aggressive and told her come on … that’s the mother of my child I would never hurt her.” Davis later deleted the post. He was held on $1,500 bail and later released.
The incident that led to Davis’s current incarceration occurred nearly three years ago on November 5, 2020. According to statements made to the police, Davis was driving a Lamborghini Urus SUV in the early hours of the morning when he struck another car after running a red light. Four people were injured in the accident, including a pregnant woman, Jyair Smith. Davis faced fourteen charges related to the incident.
In September 2022, a judge declined Davis’s plea deal. Along with this, some more horrifying details of the incident were revealed at the trial. The aforementioned Jyair Smith stated that she was trapped in a smoking vehicle and screaming. She told the Baltimore Sun that Davis “looked me in the eyes, and he never came over to help.” Smith also stated that the accident severely injured her knee. This caused her to be unable to work or play with her kids. Smith pursued a civil case against Davis, while the other three victims settled with him.
December 2022: Gervonta Davis Is Arrested For Allegedly Slapping a Woman
Gervonta Davis was arrested on December 27, 2022 after allegedly striking a woman with a “close hand type slap.” ESPN obtained the audio of the police call the woman made. In the call, she stated, “Please help me; I need help, please. I’m trying to go home, I have a baby in the car and [he] attacked me. … He’s going to kill me.” Davis once again denied these allegations on social media.
In his post, Davis wrote, “I NEVER PUT MY HANDS ON MY CHILD MOTHER NOR MY F***ING DAUGHTER… I’M NOT A MONSTER I BEEN QUIET FOR TOO LONG. … THAT’S THE ONLY REASON I’M DOING THIS NOW! JUST TO CLEAR MY NAME!” Just days later, the woman claimed that Davis did not harm her or her daughter.
The woman also posted about the incident on social media. She wrote, “While the emotions were running high I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement in an intense moment while I was frantic. Gervonta did not harm me or our daughter. Today, we have sought the help necessary to move forward with our lives. I am confident that we will succeed within our co-parenting dynamic with the counseling provided to us.” The woman soon dropped the charges against Davis.
May 2023: Sentencing for Hit-And-Run & Current Incarceration
The sentencing for the hit-and-run incident occurred on May 5, 2023. Davis avoided jail time but was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest, three years of probation, and 200 hours of community service. The Baltimore Banner reported that Davis spent his house arrest in between a Four Seasons Hotel and a $3.4 million penthouse apartment in South Baltimore without the judge’s permission. Ultimately, the judge determined this was a violation of his house arrest condition and ruled that Davis would serve the rest of his sentence in jail.
Davis has spent the best years of his boxing career in legal trouble. Despite his immense talent and entertaining personality, his legal battles have stained his reputation. However, Davis is still only 28 years old. There is still time to mature outside of the boxing ring. Yet, given what has been seen over the past few years, Gervonta Davis has proved to be one of the most controversial figures in sports.
It’s not the first time this year we’ve reported on a Chrisean Rock/Blueface reunion, and it likely won’t be the last. No matter how nasty the reality stars get with each other (for example, nearly burning down houses and calling each other names like “the devil”), they continue to return to their unusual romantic bubble. Even with the 23-year-old’s pregnancy nearing its end, she’s been outside in full force for the last few weeks of spring.
During one outing earlier this month, Rock was in Las Vegas with Blue when a woman approached them and gushed to the mother-to-be about how amazing she is. While that was surely flattering, it was the same fan’s hateful comments about the Baltimore native’s baby daddy that caused her to throw a punch. Afterward, Blueface stole the woman’s phone, and allegedly even kicked her while she was laying on the ground. The “Thotiana” rapper was later arrested for robbery, and at the time Chrisean seemed to declare online that she was done with the drama.
It didn’t take long for the future co-parents to reconcile, however, as people caught the pair on camera outside together this weekend. Blueface looks surprisingly happy during a meal at The Licking given his recent situation, and later on, they appeared to be in good spirits while turning up at the club together. Even if Chrisean is happy with her baby daddy, the internet is making it clear that they’re getting tired of supporting her antics.
“Y’all was holding up the prayer line and she went right back ,” one user quipped, referencing the Californian’s recent diss aimed at Rock. “The fact she’s standing next to a man happily who spoke down on her child,” another person judged the lovers.

Blueface and Chrisean Rock have been in the news consistently over the past few months. Overall, their relationship is on the rocks, and it is all happening while Rock is pregnant. Moreover, it seems like Blue has rekindled his relationship with his first BM, Jaidyn Alexis. They have been going on a slew of dates, and she even picked him up from jail the other day. As for why Blue was in jail? Well, he had been arrested on felony robbery charges. This all took place while he was in court for a hearing on his attempted murder charge.
Ultimately, this arrest and subsequent charge was a bit of a surprise. However, TMZ now has some reporting on what allegedly went down. As the report details, Blueface, Chrisean Rock, and some friends were at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. While out and about, a woman came up to them and told Chrisean how much of a fan she is. Although, she also made it a point to exclaim that she didn’t like Blue. From there, Chrisean allegedly punched her and Blueface allegedly swiped her phone and mocked her.
The woman also says she got her phone from Blueface, but things eventually turned a whole lot uglier as she was punched again before falling to the ground. Additionally, she alleges that Blue kicked her while she was down. Hotel surveillance footage seemingly showcases what went down here. Despite all of this, Chrisean Rock has not been arrested for the alleged incident. Meanwhile, Blueface has already been charged all while posting bail.
Overall, this is a situation that is still very much developing right now. Although, it is clear that the drama involving the rapper and his ex, won’t be dying down anytime soon. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world.
Blueface got himself into a bit of trouble on Wednesday. As we reported, he was in court for a preliminary hearing into his recent attempted murder charge. However, things got a bit out of wack as he was arrested for a separate felony robbery chart. Overall, there was very little information as to what exactly went down here. For now, it is unclear what incident ultimately led to this most recent arrest. All that is known right now is that he did get charged and that he has since been released.
At the time of his arrest, his bond was set at $20,000 which is quite low, especially for a famous rapper. That said, there was someone waiting for Blueface when he did get out of jail. Below, in an Instagram story reposted by No Jumper, you can see that Jaidyn Alexis was waiting for the rapper. Of course, Alexis is Blue’s first baby mother. Overall, the two have been spending quite a bit of time together. Although, some believe this is simply a ploy to make Chrisean Rock feel jealous.
If you have been paying attention, you know that Blueface and Chrisean Rock are always involved in some sort of drama. Moreover, the artist has been hanging out with Alexis, and even going out on dates. Additionally, he even told the woman that she will likely be taking care of Rock’s child. These are some wild and out-of-pocket comments that have rubbed many the wrong way. As for Rock, she seems pretty fed up with the rapper’s antics. However, based on leaked text messages, it is clear she still very much loves him.
The Blueface shenanigans never seem to let up, and that probably won’t change for quite some time. Hopefully, however, he and Chrisean are able to patch things up before the baby is born. At the end of the day, it would be sad for a child to be put into such a bad situation. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.
Blueface has found himself in some trouble with the law. According to TMZ, the rapper was arrested on Wednesday and charged with felony robbery. Overall, this news comes as a huge surprise, especially when you find out that he was in court at the time of the arrest. Although this seems bizarre, there is a reason for this. As the outlet reports, the artist was in court due to his attempted murder case. Last year, Blue was arrested and charged for allegedly shooting at a man while out at a nightclub.
As we have reported previously, Blueface denied any wrongdoing in the case. However, he still has to go through preliminary hearings on the matter. That said, this new arrest certainly interrupted those proceedings. At the time of writing this, TMZ and others aren’t sure why the rapper was arrested. Of course, he has been charged with robbery, however, there are no details on the alleged incident and when it may have happened. As it turns out, even Blue’s attorneys are confused by all of this.
It has been a whirlwind few months for the “Thotiana” rapper. His ex-girlfriend Chrisean Rock is currently pregnant with his child, and this has led to a ton of drama. Blueface is refusing to support Rock’s pregnancy, and it is clear that the two cannot stand one another. That said, their relationship can oftentimes be confusing as they always find their way back to one another. With Blueface’s recent arrest, one can only imagine what Chrisean and her family must be going through.
This is a developing story, and new updates are coming out by the hour. With that being said, be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the music world. Lil Tjay recently took to Instagram Live while being detained and eventually arrested by the police in New York City. On the afternoon of June 6, Lil Tjay went live on Instagram. However, it was not the typical live video. Instead of engaging with fans on the platform, the Bronx rapper provided them with a firsthand view of a traffic stop. Then, they got a front row seat to his subsequent handcuffing and removal by law enforcement.
In the Instagram Live video, Lil Tjay can be seen defiantly interacting with the police officers. Standing next to his car, he tells the officers not to touch him. He also questions the reason for his arrest. Despite an officer’s instruction to turn around, the rapper refuses. Lil Tjay states that he doesn’t know what’s in the car and denies the presence of a firearm. Eventually, multiple officers restrained and handcuffed him after a brief struggle.
Lil Tjay’s Recent Run-ins With The Law
Last summer in New Jersey, Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting incident. There, the rapper was reportedly shot multiple times during an attempted robbery. Following that, he has had several encounters with law enforcement. In January, he was arrested for alleged gun possession. This happened while he was on his way to a music video shoot. Two weeks later, he was arrested again for missing a court hearing. In May, he faced another arrest related to previous gun charges. Those charges stemmed from the shooting incident in 2022.
This new run-in occurred shortly after the rapper almost got involved in a backstage altercation at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on June 4. Videos from the incident captured the rapper being restrained by his security team as he demanded to be released to confront someone off-camera. Shortly after the June 6 incident, Lil Tjay’s lawyer confirmed that he was, in fact arrested. “Lil Tjay was arrested by the police in New York City while he was on Instagram Live. He was filming a snippet for a music video. My client was not arrested for firing a loaded firearm or possessing a loaded firearm. The arrest charge was Reckless Endangerment.” What do you think of the rapper’s police run-in? Let us know in the comments!
Misa Hylton, the mother of Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, reacted to news of his DUI arrest on her Instagram Story, Sunday. In doing so, she called out the Bad Boy mogul, as well as UCLA, and more.
“I’m not protecting no one anymore, just my son,” she wrote with a 100 emoji. In more posts, she added: “The statement ‘a fish rots from the head down’ means that, in addition to being a major contributing factor in a family or organization’s success, leadership is also the root cause of its failure and demise. The Truth shall set you free.”
In more posts, she wrote: “Act BAD BAD boy I used to want to be a BAD Girl I chose to be a QUEEN Tried and true. I’m not perfect but I am INTENTIONAL,” as well as, “I should have kept my child with me. Fuck UCLA too. Everybody can get it.” Combs played college football at UCLA and graduated from the university in 2016. Hylton continued: “How you go from one of the greatest to ever do it To making all your money off alcohol And suing the damn alcohol company. Sell something healthy that builds people up. I’m sick of it!!!! NOT MINES.” Combs has been working in film and television and recently appeared in Power Book II: Ghost. He also has producer credits on multiple TV shows.
Misa Hylton Responds On IG
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they arrested Justin Combs for driving under the influence on Sunday morning. TMZ later published photos of the arrest, in which Combs speaks with a police officer. Combs’ bond was set at $5,000. “He was put through a sobriety test that he failed,” The LAPD further told ET.
Earlier today, Diddy’s oldest son Justin Combs was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence. Police say they smelled alcohol in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop in the Beverly Hills area. This led them to give the 29-year-old various sobriety tests, which the LAPD says he failed. He was arrested and booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge. Police then took him to an L.A. County jail, where his bond was set at $5,000. It’s unclear whether or not Combs remains in custody.
“Officers conducted a traffic stop, and they observed the driver possibly under the influence of unknown alcohol or drugs,” one officer from the LAPD stated. He went on to claim, “The investigation revealed that he was under the influence.”
Diddy, on the other hand, has been heavily promoting his new track with City Girls and Fabolous, “Act Bad.” Last week, an associate of Swinderella accused Diddy of “jacking” the rapper’s 2020 song to come up with the hit. She wrote on Twitter, “The industry will really send people to bite your whole entire swagg!” She continued, claiming Swinderella “DID ACT BAD 2 YEARS AGO.” Her comment goes on to say, “The industry will be nothing without the underdogs,” and “SWINDY YOU’RE NEXT.” The up-and-coming rapper also chimed in to share her thoughts. “They keep telling me I need a hit whole time I got em and the billionaires stealing my whole sh*t,” she wrote.
Diddy’s alcohol company also recently sued it’s partner Diageo for allegedly neglecting the artist’s brands Ciroc and DeLeon. His company also alleges that the neglect was rooted in racism. “Diageo has typecasted Ciroc and DeLeon, apparently deciding they are ‘Black brands’ that should be targeted only to ‘urban’ consumers,” his legal team claims. Combs Wine and Spirits also later claimed they will be pursuing a separate lawsuit against Diageo, where they will seek “billions of dollars in damages due to Diageo’s neglect and breaches.”
Earlier today, we reported that Akeiba Stanley, a Fulton County deputy, has been arrested on multiple charges in relation to the YSL trial in Georgia. The charges Stanley is facing are reckless conduct, violation of oath of office, conspiracy to commit a felony, and hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal. However, it’s not the only thing that has happened related to the case in the past few days. Earlier this week, officials seized the laptop of Eric Johnson, Eppinger’s attorney. Reportedly, Johnson had been using the laptop to communicate with YSL members not currently in custody.
Furthermore, these charges stem from an alleged collaboration between Stanley and YSL defendant Christian Eppinger. They reportedly communicated via Instagram and an illegal cell phone. Furthermore, Stanley had allegedly agreed to help Eppinger with a smuggling operation and is also accused of smuggling contraband from a relative of Eppinger. Additionally, Stanley reportedly made unauthorized visits to Eppinger’s cell. However, the extent of their relationship is not yet known at this time. It is also not known how long the pair have allegedly been collaborating.
“Judge sets $1M bond for former Fulton County deputy accused of communicating w/ YSL defendant,” reported WSB-TV‘s Michael Seiden. Furthermore, Seiden reported that Stanley was being represented by Suri Chadha Jimenez. Additionally, Seiden added that Jimenez had told him that “prosecutors were opposed to giving her a bond, but judge disagreed, explaining that although the charges are serious, she does not have a criminal history and is not a danger to the community.”
The deputy’s arrest is just the latest twist in the increasingly wild YSL trial. 28 original defendants have been whittled down to nine men who still face a variety of charges in the sprawling RICO investigation. Among them is rapper Young Thug, who has personally added to the drama and intrigue of the case. Last month, Thug was hospitalized twice while also refuting audio evidence from a YSL crime scene. This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.
