Ice Spice has dealt with haters throughout her entire career, and not even seeing them right up in their faces can make her fold under pressure. Moreover, she recently performed at Rolling Loud Europe in Vienna over the weekend, and was probably surprised when people started booing her and showing her thumbs down signs when she played her Taylor Swift collab, “Karma.” The Bronx femcee chose to simply blow a kiss in the displeased crowd’s direction as a reaction to all this, simply letting them know that she isn’t here for the hate. It’s a pretty innocuous and awkward moment overall, but one that she handled as quickly as she could have.

However, this isn’t the only reason why Ice Spice’s recent live shows have been the subject of some interesting, albeit ridiculously salacious, discussions online. For example, fans recently debated whether she’s tired of constantly twerking as part of her image based on her facial expressions while throwing it back during a recent set. We don’t know how a facial expression necessarily converts to annoyance, especially when it’s part of a planned performance and it’s been such a common part of the routine so far. Ritualistic fatigue is a very real thing, but to equate it to a dance seems a bit overboard.

Drake is in for a jump-scare whenever he’s going out now that Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss is a smash hit, but some crowds know how to read the room. Moreover, according to alleged sources who reportedly spoke to TMZ, every DJ at Michael Rubin’s White Party on Fourth of July (which Drizzy attended) did not play any of K.Dot’s music at the event. Apparently, one of the aux-masters was a friend of Travis Scott’s, and along with La Flame, Lil Wayne, Quavo, and other folks on OVO’s good side (for now…), they all seemed to have a blast. Even though nothing happened, we’re sure it would’ve been quite the moment if everyone looked at the Toronto superstar while they could hear “Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop!” in the background.

Of course, the same goes if Kendrick Lamar was, say, cruising around Los Angeles and he heard “Drop, drop, drop, drop” in the street. His feud with Drake has absolutely dominated hip-hop discourse this year, and he’s making sure that his rival doesn’t soon forget it. On the Fourth of July, the same day that this White Party went down, Kendrick dropped the “Not Like Us” music video. Talk about kicking someone while they’re down… or up, we guess, since we’re sure Michael Rubin and company were a welcome distraction.

Regardless of those jokes, some pictures of Drake at the White Party this year raised some fans’ eyebrows. Many commented that it looks like he aged a couple of years in just days as a result of the Kendrick Lamar battle, which is honestly a tad ridiculous. Call it confirmation bias, reaching, or just plain hating, but perhaps this clowning would be less common if the “Wick Man” MC didn’t just lose in a rap beef in many’s eyes. Maybe it was the party that drained him, instead.

Meanwhile, even though die-hards like DJ Akademiks are doubting Drake’s comeback, it’s still far too soon to tell whether this Kendrick Lamar battle will really affect him. Let’s see what happens when a new album cycle starts up, and then we’ll have that conversation. Rick Ross made a horrible mistake during his recent trip to Vancouver, B.C. Following a string of shots between himself and Drake, Ross decided to troll some more by playing “Not Like Us” at the end of his set, leading to some friction between himself and some other people backstage. Things got heated and it appeared that Ross got struck in the face before his crew got jumped.

We’ve all seen the footage by now. Rick Ross gets into it with another man who seemingly connects his fist to the rapper’s jaw with “Not Like Us” playing in the background. However, the Miami boss doesn’t see it that way. In a video shared to his Instagram Story, Ross was seemingly in denial about getting assaulted. “When the first dude stepped up to Rozay, the short fat one that looks like Bam Bam Bigelow from wrestling. When he stepped up, and then I squat down to his eyes and told him what I said. Basically, wherever I hit you, I’mma see whatever you ate for the last two days,” he said. 

“His balls dropped out of his ass. He never said another word,” Rick Ross continued. “He never did nothing, he was a straight buster. Then the n***a behind him said, ‘I know MM-AYYYEEEEEEE!’ And then, I got hit with a drink. I’m still convinced no n***a punched me.” His theory is that someone actually threw a drink at him because “throwin’ a drink would’ve been way more disrespectful than screaming ‘‘I know MM-AYYYEEEEEEE!’”

Some of the most bizarre inclusions in this rant are claims about Black people eating babies and his claim that a Black man sexually assaulted him.

“So a black man r**ed me and it’s okay and everyone acts like it never happened,” Ryan Garcia tweeted on Fourth of July amid other scandalous politically related takes. “Lil Wayne said I can say the n-word.” Other tweets and remarks during Twitter Spaces conversations (including one titled “George Floyd is a b***h”) included attacking both Israeli and Palestinian people and sympathizers, trashing Muslims as a whole when Sneako joined a Space, and calling Christians “gay.” At one point during the Floyd conversation: he said the following: “Let’s go bring George Floyd back to life and kill that n***a again.”

“My grandma does VOODOO,” Foolio’s Instagram account captioned a video post featuring an old WWE wrestling match and a video of him rapping in a vehicle. “He’s here, going to shock the world when the time is right. It seems like many of these posts were promptly deleted, so either these are hacks that his team is following up on or there are some very bizarre choices and developments behind the scenes. Of course, another part of Foolio’s online presence since his death has been the attacks that Yungeen Ace sent his way after the shooting.
