Foolio Explains How He Got Shot, Claims It Was Because Of A Vape

When you have a strong addiction to something, odds are that you will see signs along the way that you should take a better path. However, some habits are very hard to beat, and even life-threatening situations can’t always reset that switch in your mind. That’s what apparently recently happened to Foolio, who recovered earlier this month following a shooting in his home city of Jacksonville. Moreover, he recalled on Instagram Live how he was at a gas station when someone shot him in the foot. Specifically, the rapper stopped at the establishment to get a vape, a vape that he kept on hitting in the Live clip in which he talks about the near-fatal experience.

Furthermore, this got a lot of people debating in the comments, whether they’re Foolio fans or they just happened to come across coverage of his statement. Many came to the conclusion that, if a bullet didn’t turn things fatal in this case, then continued nicotine use certainly could. Others made jokes insensitive jokes about passing away over an Elf bar, while some expressed that this should’ve been a sing for him to stop. No matter how you slice it, the Florida native should be grateful that both attempts on his life, with violence and poor health, have been unsuccessful so far.

Foolio Is Recovering Well In Hospital Following Shooting

Fortunately, it seems like Foolio is having a swift recovery in the hospital following a Friday (October 6) shooting. For those unaware, one of his parents let his fans know to keep him in their prayers by posting on his Instagram Story over the weekend. In addition, multiple police sources in the Jacksonville area also reported this, detailing that the rapper was shot in the foot. Now, a new picture of him in a hospital bed circulated around social media, seemingly originally posted on an IG Story. However, it’s unclear where this post came from, as there is nothing on Julio Foolio’s social media pages about this as of writing this article.

Furthermore, it could be assumed that this picture comes from one of his family members, friends, industry peers, or other associates. While this is promising news and heartening to see, it seems like law enforcement is no closer to finding the perpetrators of this crime. Little to no updates on the case emerged at press time following the initial news, so local authorities are assumedly still hard at work on a probe. Hopefully they reach a conclusion out soon, as Foolio could suffer more attacks like these if they don’t.

It looks like there actually won’t be a lot of development in this area- at least, from the victim himself. In reports on the shooting, sources also claimed that he said he would not cooperate at all with police officials in this investigation. As such, Foolio is essentially wiping his hands clean of this based on reports, and it’s meaningless to speculate as to why. All that matters is that he’s getting better and will be able to see family and friends soon.

Meanwhile, this is unfortunately not the only attempt on his life that the Florida MC faced. Much of his space in the public consciousness these days relates to his feuds with other rappers. Foolio Shot In Jacksonville: Report

Jacksonville rapper Foolio was reportedly shot in his home city last night (Friday, October 6), according to various sources. Moreover, the first one people noticed in mass was an Instagram Story post on his account, which seemed to come from one of his parents. “Keep Foolio my son in Yall prayers,” the message read (posted on Saturday, October 7), and including a prayer hands emoji. “He was shot last night in his hating city.” Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the rapper’s first brush with violence, and we send him our best wishes for a speedy recovery and better days ahead.

In addition, various law enforcement sources reportedly confirmed this incident to WTLV-TV Jacksonville. According to these reports, suspects shot Foolio (real name Charles Jones) in the foot last night, and it’s unknown how worrisome these injuries are as of writing this article. The shooting took place around the 3100 block on 18th Street W. in the city, which is near a residential neighborhood that’s less than a mile away from the Paxon School for Advanced Studies. From what a picture obtained by First Coast News suggests, his black Dodge Challenger (which the Florida MC drove at the time suspects shot him) is full of bullet holes.

Furthermore, sources also told First Coast News that he will not cooperate with police officials in this case. Whether they actually spoke to Foolio or used other information or testimonies is unclear. Another detail these allegations include is that medical authorities took him to U.F. Health Jacksonville for treatment. There’s little else we know about this happening at press time, but surely more details will emerge in the coming days.

It seems like no matter how hard he tries, YK Osiris will always get roped into some form of online scandal with other artists or pretty much anyone. Sure, a lot of that is his own doing, but other times, he gets sidelined with no knowledge of it. Moreover, if you recall, Foolio pulled up on NBA YoungBoy’s hotel room amid their beef, which caused a lot of online discussion. In a newly released snippet from one of the former’s Instagram Live sessions, he made a pretty eyebrow-raising claim. Apparently, Foolio got YB’s address from none other than Osiris himself.

According to Foolio’s side of the story, YK Osiris actually reached out to one of his peers and gave him the hotel room that YoungBoy was staying at in the Florida area. Later, he went on to narrate how they went up the elevator and so on, but the clip that made rounds on social media doesn’t detail it. Regardless, as much as that incident was in the past, this re-sparked interest and surprise concerning the whole thing. After all, before this, very few people could even recall the most remote link between these three artistic figures.
