6ix9ine Denies Paying Kodak Black $1 Million For Feature On “Shaka Laka”

6ix9ine, Kodak Black, and Yailin La Mas Viral came through with one of the most controversial collabs of the year with “Shaka Laka” back in July. Moreover, that backlash has nothing to do with the song itself and everything to do with the Kodak feature. Many expressed their distaste for the Florida artist working with Tekashi, who received an eternal “anti-snitch” stamp from most of the rap world. Another topic of conversation was Yak’s $1 million paycheck for it, which the rainbow-haired rapper denied came from him directly in a new interview. Apparently, their link-up was all to promote a vape brand that put up all the money for the release.

“Yeah, I didn’t pay him,” 6ix9ine told the interviewer when they asked about the million-dollar verse. “There’s a whole company called Fum, right? There’s whole videos, pictures, bank statements. Literally, there’s videos online of this company saying ‘Listen, this is a collab song for our vapes.’ They’re holding a check, taking a picture with it, it’s everywhere. ‘Yo, 6ix9ine paid a million dollars for Kodak.’ No, it was their song, they paid the million dollars.

“They had an idea,” 6ix9ine continued. “Like I said, music doesn’t excite me; creating does. They wanted it to be a success. Sauce Walka Wouldn’t Ever Work With 6ix9ine, Not Even For A Billion Dollars

Sauce Walka isn’t a big fan of 6ix9ine, just like a lot of other members of the rap community. However, it’s fair to say that a lot of the rainbow-haired rapper’s haters would switch up in a heartbeat for a big stack of cash. But the Houston MC isn’t like the other haters; he could get a billion-dollar offer and he still won’t record a single word for a collaboration. Moreover, Walka was recently on the Clearly Cultured podcast, and the hosts asked him if he would work with Tekashi for a million dollars. When he responded no, they raised the stakes, and he maintained his steadfast disapproval of the notion.

“I can’t do it, I can’t do it, I can’t do it” Sauce Walka told the show’s hosts. “Why would I go rap with this man when I can have a great time, a threesome and make a million in two, three months? I would’ve signed the record deal. One hundred million, a billion- I would not do it. I will not do no song with a person that told on somebody- that deliberately did this in front of the whole world and I have full information of this before. I know that you did this to the world and you represent this.”

6ix9ine Is Confused In New Body Cam Footage Of His Arrest

It looks like 6ix9ine was in more legal trouble than people believed, at least based on new body cam footage that surfaced of a recent arrest. Moreover, the rainbow-haired rapper himself looked and sounded quite confused in the clip as an officer cuffed him. Readers might be thinking that this traffic stop relates to his recent incarceration for failing to show up in court amid his credit card debt case. However, the officers mention a traffic warrant for driving an unregistered vehicle, but one of them does also mention to him that Tekashi didn’t pay his fees or show up in court. As such, the situation is a bit hazy, but given his recent video working out at a Planet Fitness after getting beat up at an LA Fitness, it seems like he was able to handle both.

Regardless, the footage shows officers asking 6ix9ine for his license and registration as he holds a large stack of documents in the driver’s seat. “I don’t know which is which,” the New York artist says. Then, he starts to question the officers about getting sent to jail over a traffic warrant. In footage from within the police car, the “Shaka Laka” provocateur says that all his cars are under his brother’s name, and that he already handled registration.

That lines up closely with 6ix9ine’s arrest for the court no-show in his credit card debt case, so maybe it’s a case of conflicting reports. Still, that’s probably going to be something he will continue to deal with in the future. After all, when you’re dealing with American Express, you can’t escape easily.

Tekashi 69 Was Arrested In Florida For Missing A Court Date After A Traffic Stop

Controversial rapper and internet personality Tekashi 69 was arrested on Wednesday, August 9, after being pulled over for a traffic violation. According to NBC News and Billboard, the rapper was pulled over by police after committing “a moving traffic violation” and failing to display a license tag. He was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear at a court date in July for a previous traffic incident in June. He was released on bond today.

69 hasn’t had the greatest luck over the past several months. In March, he allegedly assaulted by three men at a gym in Florida and temporarily hospitalized for cuts and bruises. While the three men were later arrested on robbery and assault charges, Tekashi deplored the attack on Instagram, calling the attackers “nothing but cowardly.” He also boasted about “walking around with no security,” while leaving out the part where he couldn’t get security services in the first place and was sued in 2021 for an unpaid $75,000 security bill.

He might need to get caught up on that bill because he’s getting beat up with alarming frequency. Early last year, he was sucker-punched from behind in a Miami nightclub, while later in the year, his girlfriend apparently also punched him, leading to him having to bail her out.

6ix9ine Arrested In Florida For No-Show In Court Amid Massive Credit Card Debt

It seems like not even jail time is enough to scare 6ix9ine into paying his six-figure credit card debt to American Express. Moreover, according to Page Six, authorities recently arrested the rapper in Florida’s Palm Beach County on Wednesday (August 9) for failing to appear in court. Unless this is an entirely different case unknown to the public, you might’ve heard of this development in relation to his credit card debts. Just yesterday as of writing this article (August 9), American Express reportedly sent out subpoenas to begin taking money from his other bank accounts to pay for the near-$120K unpaid fees. It’s still unclear how much this will actually affect his finances or if he will try to reach some sort of deal.

Furthermore, failure to show up in court when summoned can result in either imprisonment or fines, according to West Palm Beach Defense. How much these payments or jail stays are depends on the judge in the case, the severity of the crimes in their eyes, and what the case is about. With that in mind, apparently 6ix9ine got off pretty easy with this recent arrest, and perhaps his legal future over his debts will be similar. After all, the New York MC was only in custody for about three hours before posting a $2,000 bond and being free again.

Of course, the rainbow-haired provocateur is no stranger to legal trouble or court cases. Also this week, a tattoo artist named Takashi Matsuba sued him for defamatory comments. It’s ironic because 6ix9ine (also known as Tekashi) said that the ink artist is the inspiration for his rap name. However, the 27-year-old also claimed Matsuba was addicted to heroin in the past, which he claimed in his suit to have negatively impacted his business.

“I lost a number of friends, but by far the most important one is my dear wife,” Matsuba’s lawsuit read. “We divorced last year, because she no longer trusted me after Hernandez’s false statements about me were broadcast on Hulu and Showtime.” We’ll see which case ends up being more impactful on the “Shaka Laka” singer. Kodak Black Calls Boosie Badazz A “Clown” Amid Beef

There have been quite a few consequences stemming from Kodak Black’s new collaboration with 6ix9ine have been pretty major. The track is called “Shaka Laka” and dropped last week. It got a LOT of people talking as soon as it dropped for a myriad of reasons. On 6ix9ine’s side of things, he once again called out what he thinks is industry blackballing. He shared an Instagram post with fans showing the music video for his new song had the same amount of views as Travis Scott’s new track. Travis Scott’s song “K-Pop” was a collaboration with two of the biggest names in all of music The Weeknd and Bad Bunny. The disparity in views surprised a lot of fans given how many more streams Scott’s song was generating on Spotify.

For Kodak Black the controversy mostly came from other rappers. Many took the opportunity to criticize Kodak for working with someone that’s been labeled a snitch. Nobody’s criticism was louder than Boosie Badazz, who isn’t shy about commenting on any rap-related issues. Boosie posted a rant to his Instagram expressing his disapproval. “D**n. Thought that little ni**a wasn’t like that, bro. Ni**a ain’t no street ni**a, at all. D**n. F**ked me up” he said. He went on to say that Kodak has “no morals” and “no principles.”

Kodak Black’s first response to Boosie’s criticism came in an Instagram story post where he had a simple message for the rapper. Now he’s hit back again. Kodak reposted a video of someone criticizing Boosie’s behavior to his Instagram story earlier today. He captioned the post “Poosie a [clown emoji],” making it clear that he agrees with the video’s sentiment.

In the comments under the Instagram post many fans agreed with Kodak. “Boosie need to stop talking about rappers 20+ years younger than him tho,” one comment reads. Regardless, other hip-hop figures said that it doesn’t even matter so much at the end of the day, because rappers do things wrong all the time that one can’t stop by themselves. 6ix9ine And Anuel AA Exchange Fighting Words Over Instagram

Beef seems to be brewing between rappers 6ix9ine and Anuel AA. The two got into a heated back-and-forth via Instagram on Thursday, July 6th, causing fans in both camps to go up in arms. Both of them threw out salacious details of the other. According to comments on DJ Akademiks’ post on the matter, Spanish translator-commenters said, “Anuel calls 69 a Pedo even [though] he knew this while recording 2 songs [with] him.” This is a reference to 6ix9ine’s plea deal from child sexual performance charges back in 2015.

Apparently, 6ix9ine clapped back with “[saying] Anuel beat his ex while pregnant.” This is a serious accusation about a musical artist who has had a plethora of romantic relationships and has children with a few women. It’s a bit of a setback for 6ix9ine, who seemed to be righting the ship of his career by gifting the people of the Dominican Republic money mere days ago. Now, he’s getting into yet another confrontation with someone in the rap game.

It’s fair to question Anuel AA about his pedophile claim about the New York hip-hop performer. The two created a couple of songs together back in the day. Insta commenters pointed out that Anuel would’ve known about the pedo thing at that time. Whether Anuel knew or not is up for speculation. But what is known is the two now have bad blood.
