Naturi Naughton Calls Out 50 Cent For His “Insane” Criticism Of Omari Hardwick

For fans of the Power television universe, they might be sad to see a conflict between one of its main stars and one of its key behind-the-scenes players. Moreover, Omari Hardwick and 50 Cent are currently at odds over claims from the latter that he wasn’t paid enough as the lead actor on the show. The G-Unit mogul recently spoke on The Breakfast Club about how they’re still not cool with each other, and expressed his belief that the entertainer overvalues himself. Now, one of Hardwick and Fif’s Power collaborators, the former’s costar Naturi Naugthon, threw her hat into the ring via a TMZ interview on Wednesday (October 30).

That’s insane to me,” Naturi Naughton told the outlet concerning 50 Cent’s criticism of Omari Hardwick. “Omari is literally the epitome of Power. Omari Hardwick started this amazing journey and I don’t know all of what happened with 50 and O. But I’ll say this: I love Omari Hardwick. He’s an amazingly talented human and he’s also a good person. But there would be no Power without Ghost.” “I hope that they can find love and peace between each other,” she expressed in addition.

Naturi Naughton Speaks On 50 Cent & Omari Hardwick

All the way back in 2022, Omari Hardwick claimed that he only received a payment of $150K per episode for his Power stint, and claimed to have borrowed money from 50 Cent in order to account for this. In response this year, the Queens rapper posited that there would be more demand for him if he was such a star, and questioned why he hasn’t supported the new Power projects if this passion is true. For those unaware, Hardwick also took issue with how his character’s story turned out, which is another part of his frustration. At the end of the day, 50 maintained that they paid him more for nightclub appearances than for the show itself, so this shouldn’t be as much of a complaint as it is.

Like Naturi Naughton said, hopefully they can work everything out between themselves. Elsewhere during 50 Cent’s Breakfast Club interview, he discussed ghostwriting for Diddy with Jay-Z and a whole lot of other curious topics.

Lil Durk Praised By His “Power Book II: Ghost” Co-Star After Fans Tried To Clown Him

Lil Durk recently appeared in the series finale of Power Book II: Ghost as his acting debut, and while some fans clowned him, others cheer. One of those supporters is his co-star LeToya Tonodeo (who played Diana Tejada in the 50 Cent-produced television show), who recently spoke to TMZ about Durk’s chops. “I thought he killed it!” she shared. “And I hope he keeps going with it. Like, you know, it’s the series finale… *sighs* it’s coming to an end. At least Power Book II: Ghost.

“But you know what they say, power never ends,” LeToya Tonodeo continued. “So we shall see. […] I think [Lil Durk has a magical quality]. I think so, I mean, he was dope to work with. Super cool, super chill. Yeah, I hope he keeps it going. I hope [we’ll see a lot of him in the future in Hollywood]. I hope so. You’d have to ask him, but in my opinion, I hope so.” As such, we imagine that Smurk feels pretty amazing about his acting debut despite some fans’ jokes. Who knows whether he’ll be the next breakout drama star, an action hero, or a comedic hit?

Elsewhere in Lil Durk’s world, he recently announced his new album Deep Thoughts, but fans are already pretty busy with his next moves. After all, it wasn’t too long ago that he revealed the tracklist for another project, Love Songs 4 The Streets 3. The record has Rod Wave on as both a feature and executive producer, with other guests including Future, Lil Baby, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, iShowSpeed, and Kai Cenat. It sounds like quite the eclectic mix, but we’ll see how it follows up or maybe even previews Deep Thoughts.

Meanwhile, the “Monitoring Me” spitter has a lot of options ahead of him. He’s always been a prolific musical artist, so maybe venturing more into the worlds of film and TV could either inspire more measured material or result in a lot of quick drops. Lil Durk has these two projects seemingly ready to go (Deep Thoughts drops on October 18) and seems like he might be busier than ever with a growing entertainment profile. The future is bright. 50 Cent Dismisses Omari Hardwick’s Complaints About How “Power” Ended

Arguably the biggest star from 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp’s hit series Power, Omari Hardwick, recently spoke out about fans’ disappointment in the ending and how he agrees that the network and show-runners didn’t do justice to his role (the main character Ghost) with his eventual death. “I’m with y’all in this sense,” Hardwick remarked at the Tribeca Film Festival recently. “I’m with you in the sense that the way the story was sold and told to me is not befitting of the way it ended, guys. So y’all have every right to be like, ‘It didn’t end right.’

“And because we don’t honor our fans enough, and I know me, Matt, and Trey are different,” Omari Hardwick went on. “We honor y’all, we honor our fans, man. We often forget that the fans are being sold and told a story that has a genesis, and that it has to end the way that it was sold.” Well, it seems like this didn’t sit well with the brain who turned Power into a multi-series juggernaut. 50 Cent recently took to Instagram to react to Hardwick’s comments, and he voiced some striking disappointment.

“This [ninja emoji] is a strange bird [bird emoji],” 50 Cent wrote in the caption of the post above. “The f**k is he talking about, [raised-eyebrow emoji] I never done nothing but look out for him. If he needed something I gave it to him. I understand now, that s**t didn’t matter.” Of course, the G-Unit mogul definitely could’ve gone way harder, as he proves time and time again with his Diddy disses. But this is more of a question about storytelling and satisfaction rather than gratitude and assistance, so perhaps Fif needs to shift gears.

Meanwhile, last year, Omari Hardwick revealed that Starz offered him to come back to the Power universe, but 50 Cent and the team couldn’t make it happen on Hardwick’s terms. “It would have to be the perfect thing,” he remarked. “They asked me before to come back. They asked me in the last year and a half to come back. When [they] offered this, when I was in Boston reading this script, I was in Boston saying ‘and then this.’ And then the ‘then this’ went to Starz and then they didn’t come back. They didn’t give me what I wanted on the ‘then this.’ So if they gave me the ‘then this’…but it would need to be the right ‘that.’”

50 Cent Gives Massive Updates On “Power Book IV: Force” Season 3 & Franchise’s Future

50 Cent and Power series star Joseph Sikora, who plays Tommy, have some bittersweet but nonetheless exciting news when it comes to the future of the franchise. Moreover, on Thursday (June 13), the G-Unit mogul uploaded a video of Sikora on set of Power Book IV: Force, and his remarks on the television empire are quite interesting. This show’s third season will be its last, but he hinted at there being many more surprises and developments for the franchise’s future, so it seems like die-hard fans and longtime viewers won’t be seeing the end of the Power universe just yet.

“This was the perfect opportunity to stay true to our artistic vision and make this the final chapter in Tommy’s journey in Chicago. But don’t worry, Tommy’s journey is far from over with. We’re just getting warmed up. I can’t wait to show you what we have planned next,” Joseph Sikora said of 50 Cent’s Power Book IV: Force. “Tune in, because ghosts never die, and power never ends,” he added towards the end of the clip below, setting the stage for a lot more room for the franchise to grow despite some current controversies around lawsuits and life-threatening drug kingpins.

Furthermore, this also comes amid the announcement that Power Book II: Ghost will end with its fourth season, so some fans think that there will be a big new spinoff announcement soon. Regardless, 50 Cent is happy and grateful to enjoy the current ride and have a blast while he waits for what’s next, as his caption for this announcement indicated. “Im glad all the fans have been so supportive of FORCE,” he shared on IG. “We have more heat coming, my Power Universe is still expanding… wait till you see what I have up my sleeve, you haven’t seen the last of Tommy.”

Meanwhile, 50 Cent also has projects to look forward to outside of the Power universe, such as the upcoming crime doc TikTok Star Murders. There’s a lot on his plate, but it seems like he’s having a grand old time amid all the chaos, success, and kick-offs. Maybe Power is closer to its end than its beginning, but it’s clear that they have such a rich world to tell stories within. Hopefully fans get the satisfying conclusions that they deserve and get more material to look forward to.

50 Cent Honors Battle Rapper DNA With Song Shoutout During “Power” Credits

50 Cent’s TV series empire is in full swing, and Power Book IV: Force is enjoying pretty great season so far. However, for as big as the show and its head creative are, they still take some time to shout out some underground talent. Moreover, Fif included a track by battle rapper, DNA, in the end credits for the series’ eighth episode. The underground MC shared his reaction to the shoutout on Twitter, and the Queens native clearly found a kindred spirit in the Queens legend. That regional camaraderie is always important to celebrate, cultivate, and highlight in hip-hop culture, and it clearly goes a long way in opening doors and bringing new opportunities for emerging talent.

“JUST FINISHED WATCHING POWER ‘FORCE’ EPISODE 8 N GUESS WHO SONG PLAYS AT THE END OF SHOW,” DNA wrote of 50 Cent’s cosign. “GOD IS GOOD. BIG SHOUTOUT 2 @bigtankmusic. ME & MY BROTHER @warrenwint BODIED THIS. PRODUCED BY: @jazzfeezy.” Not only that, but the spitter also reinstated his social media series recapping each episode in the Power franchise, as this team-up inspired him to show them the same love that they showed him.

In fact, 50 Cent and DNA already have history, and their previous meet-ups make this chemistry less surprising, but even more meaningful. The two met up in Houston for the G-Unit mogul’s concert for The Final Lap tour. This was the same weekend in which Ultimate Rap League hosted their Summer Madness event, for which they hung out with Smack White, URL’s co-founder. Furthermore, they all promoted the event on social media, and having everyone in the same room for it showed the passion that they all have for the art form.

Speaking of rap battle events, DNA will soon host Halloween Havoc further into this week on Saturday (October 28). DaBaby Wants To Act Alongside 50 Cent Someday

Besides 50 Cent’s widely successful music career, he also is a great actor as well. The 48-year-old rap mogul has been a part of quite a few productions during his time in the TV and movie business. Recently, he played the role of Easy Day in the fourth installment of the Expendables film franchise. However, his most notable efforts have been on the silver screen. 50’s STARZ series Power received some solid praise from casuals and critics on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb. That chapter closed but a few more have opened and DaBaby wants in on it.

After the final season of Power in 2020, the New York icon created some spin-offs since then. It gets a little confusing with the titles and the seasons, but he is continuing to develop more stories from it. There have been three new additions to the franchise. Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force have all been released in a short period of time. A new season of the third book will be premiering on December 1. Fellow NY rapper Joey Bada$$ has already played a character in the show, so why not DaBaby?

In the IG post from theneighborhoodtalk, they reshare a clip from 50’s account hyping up fans for the new season of Book III. His acting is very cold-blooded and menacing and DaBaby saw the video. He proceeded to comment under it saying, “I gotta play a role on the screen wit you before it’s all over bruh.” He has never acted before, but, he has directed plenty of music videos in his career and it could be a cool moment. Fans are seemingly in agreement, with one saying, “Yes ! Da baby looks like he can play a tough role well ! He already theatrical & creative asf.”

What are your initial thoughts on DaBaby commenting under 50 Cent’s Instagram post that he wants to act with him? Do you think he could be a good actor? Are you excited for the upcoming release of 50’s new spin-off of Power? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. 50 Cent’s “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” Will Return With Season 3 In December

50 Cent’s built an incredibly successful empire around his Starz shows, and the future looks bright for his other projects with Fox and other partners. Still, there’s a whole lot more to discover, unearth, and enjoy when it comes to the “Power” universe and all its spinoffs. Moreover, one of the most acclaimed installments in the whole franchise will return for its third season later this year. The network announced on Monday (August 28) that “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” will premiere on December 1. Not only that, but this means that it’ll come out shortly after the second season of “Power Book IV: Force” wraps up this year, and that premieres this Friday (September 1).

Furthermore, the last we heard of Kanan and the crew was in October of 2022, so fans have been waiting for this for some time. “They won’t all be able to complete this intensely personal quest, but for those who do, the destination may reveal the most terrifying secret of all,” Starz wrote in a synopsis of the upcoming season in the “Power” series. “There is no right and wrong or good and evil. There are no absolutes. In the end, there’s just you.”

Stills From The Upcoming Third Season Of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”

What’s more is that “Book IV” is equally as beloved and anticipated, with lead actor Joseph Sikora telling HipHopDX of its greatness recently. “Let me tell you, the second season is way better,” he said of the “Power” spinoff. “It’s like, we got Chicago- the first season, it didn’t. I don’t think so. I think they used Chicago as a backdrop. You’re telling me there’s one Black gang in Chicago and they run everything? Nobody’s trying to light that place up? There’s not divisions within that? The first season, the Latin thing- listen, she was great but that’s it? Chicago’s one of the most Latin cities in the entire continent. It’s the third-largest Mexican population in the world.”

In addition, Sikora spoke of the production changes that new showrunner Gary Lennon brought to improve the series. “Give props to Gary Lennon,” he remarked. “He was the showrunner for ‘Power’ Season 5 and Season 6. He’s from Hell’s Kitchen and his brothers were gangsters (Westies). He is the voice of the Tommy Egan character so it’s going to be authentic. Watch Season 2. It’s as legit as a season of ‘Ozark.’” For more news and the latest updates on the “Power” franchise, come back to HNHH.

50 Cent Facing Mediation In Lawsuit From Former Drug Kingpin Over “Power” For $1 Billion

When art gets a little too close to reality for comfort, people often try to take back control of their story from the entertainment business. That’s what happened to 50 Cent, who faces a $1 billion lawsuit from a former drug kingpin alleging that 50’s show Power is based on his life. Moreover, this news broke back in 2021, which means they’ve had years to discuss it behind the scenes. However, given a mediation conference scheduled for May, it seems like the legal action could finally manifest into a case. Still, it seems like it’ll be a tough case to beat for Corey “Ghost” Holland Sr. given the timeframe.

Furthermore, 50’s legal team maintains that the one-year statute of limitations in New York law makes the suit invalid. The show wrapped up in February of 2020, whereas Holland’s lawsuit came in April of 2021. Also, they contend that the show is entirely fictional and no rational person could assume that it’s based on Holland’s life. Regardless, his lawsuit took aim at the Queens rapper, the STARZ network, and series creator Courtney Kemp.

50 Cent Anticipates Mediation Over $1 Billion Power Lawsuit

What’s more is that court documents indicate that Holland sent a copy of his Blasphemy CD to Kemp’s father in 2007. He claims that they used this tape for inspiration, especially a track about his experiences as a drug dealer. Not only that, but he believes the seven acts in his CD mirror the seven season of Power and the first two seasons of its spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost. In addition, he claimed that 50 Cent showed up at his home shortly after the suit was filed to confront and instigate a fight between them.

Meanwhile, Fif’s legal team never replied to Holland’s sanction requests over the visit, and the court ordered them to try to work things out. Moreover, the upcoming mediation in May could be the first time they meet, as 50’s alleged visit went awry. Given the massive price tag attached to the suit and the rapper’s magnanimous public profile, perhaps it would be in their best interests to reach an agreement instead of provoke a firestorm in court. Regardless, come back to HNHH for updates on this story and the latest on 50 Cent.
