Detroit rap star 42 Dugg has teamed up with Sexyy Red to bring in the summer with “N.P.O.”, a bass-heavy anthem under the CMG Records/4PF/Interscope Records umbrella. Between fire verses from two of the Midwest’s finest, the hook spells it out and the video speaks for itself; “She ain’t got no panties on.”
“N.P.O.” is the latest taste of 42 Dugg’s forthcoming album 4eva Us, Neva Them, which is scheduled for an Independence Day release. On the catchy single, Dugg flexes about the finer things in life, rapping, “Chanel link with the pearls on it / I don’t care how much it cost, I said my girl want it.”
Red feeds right into Dugg’s energy, spittin’, “You ain’t got no money for me, b**** don’t even call my phone / A** phat nails done, and my weave super long.”
In the Young Chang-directed video, Dugg and Red do it up ostentatiously in Miami, showing off foreign cars and blinged out jewels from the day throughout the night, with all the women, including Red, showing why the song is called “N.P.O.”
Detroit native and rising rap star 42 Dugg is back with a bang, releasing his latest single, “Win Wit Us,” via CMG Records/4PF/Interscope Records. The track is set to feature on his highly anticipated upcoming album, “4eva Us, Neva Them.”
Produced by FLEXONTHEBEAT, TyMaz, and Marshak, “Win Wit Us” sees Dugg assert his dominance, calling out those who haven’t earned their place alongside him and his crew.
Accompanying the single is an official music video directed by Counter Point. Shot across various locations and clubs in Detroit, the visual captures Dugg and his crew exuding confidence as they rap about their supremacy in the rap game.
Sexyy Red seemingly works as hard as anyone in music. The breakthrough rap star had a massive 2023 where she released her breakthrough mixtape, an extended deluxe edition the length of an entire new album, and multiple features and remixes in between. That’s why it’s been a little surprising that she’s been quiet in 2024. Not entirely quiet as she did drop the track “Get It Sexyy.” The song is off to a great start and soon to become her most successful solo single on the charts. After making a splash debut in the top 25 the song has stuck around currently sitting at number 32 on this weeks chart.
Now Sexyy is gearing up for a forthcoming collaboration with 42 Dugg. The pair were recently filmed shooting a music video in Miami and the footage is making the rounds online. In the clip, Red’s raps about going to the club with no panties on blare while the two dance in front of an ocean. In contrast to either daytime or nighttime music videos, the shot takes place directly in front of a sunset that lights the entire sky up pink. When fans will be able to ultimately see the video in full is currently not known. Check out the video of the pair shooting their new video below.
Last week Sexyy Red popped up in an entirely unexpected place. She joined breakout country star Zach Bryan, who also had a massive breakout in 2023, on stage during one of his shows. She hilariously twerked to a song that doesn’t implicitly seem like anybody should be twerking to it. The bizarre crossover took off online as fans tried to speculate on how the two were possibly put in touch.
What do you think of the preview of Sexyy Red and 42 Dugg’s upcoming music video? Do you think Red will keep up her hot streak of features and hit songs dating back to last year? Let us know in the comment section below.
If there is a rapper that embodies the city of Detroit, it is 42 Dugg. Sure, there are plenty of others, but his pit bull-like mentality in his music really drives that point home. The gravelly-voiced MC has been enjoying these last several months as a free man. He was serving a one-year sentence for failing to surrender himself in what was supposed to be a six-month bout after a 2020 federal gun investigation. One of the ways 42 Dugg has been relishing this time has been through dropping singles like “Wock N Red.”
This is now the 29-year-old’s third solo single and fourth total release following his time behind bars. That outlier is a feature appearance on a deluxe Sexyy Red track “Perfect Match,” which also saw G Herbo on it. Probably the biggest success for Dugg so far has been “SpinDatBac.” Part of the reason for that was because there a was a video that was making the rounds on social media.
He was seen in the studio with J. Cole playing the track for him and he was digging it. It has become a fan-favorite since its release in November, receiving 5.5 million views on YouTube. To keep the momentum going for Dugg, he is back with “Wock N Red.” London on da Track has a production credit on this one, as he brings a murderous tone to match Dugg’s violent lyrics. Be sure to check out the music video above.

Quotable Lyrics:
Touch one these chains, I’m in the crowd with it Foul n****, I hop out with this b**** and get the yeah-yeah-yeah Cuz ran off, they find him dead, dead, dead Me, Apple, Ric and Martez known for huntin’ s*** Nah, what’s that drug? You turn one into two, we call it dog Heard that young n****s still like to hoop, I like to ball
Detroit’s own 42 Dugg marked his triumphant return to the music scene with a spectacular “Welcome Home” concert at Little Caesars Arena on Friday (Jan. 20). The sold-out event turned into a star-studded affair, featuring electrifying performances from A-listers like Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Jeezy, and more.
Notably, Dugg seized the moment to bridge gaps and foster unity within Detroit’s hip-hop community. The concert witnessed a historic reconciliation as Dugg brought together long-standing rivals, Doughboyz Cashout and Team Eastside, effectively ending the city’s East-West rivalry. The gesture aimed to promote solidarity and collaboration among local artists.
The homecoming celebration also showcased Detroit’s rich talent, with performances by Babyface Ray, Peezy, Dej Loaf, and other influential figures in the city’s hip-hop scene. The collective effort not only celebrated Dugg’s return but also emphasized the power of music to unite communities.
Dugg’s journey back to the stage follows a period of incarceration from May 2022 to October 2023. Since his release, he wasted no time returning to the studio, teaming up with Yo Gotti immediately after leaving prison.
Before his hiatus, 42 Dugg delivered the acclaimed Free Dem Boyz project, featuring collaborations with Future, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Roddy Ricch, and EST Gee. The album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, with standout tracks like “4 Da Gang” making waves on the charts.
As the sold-out “Welcome Home” concert echoed with the cheers of Detroiters, it marked Dugg’s triumph and symbolized the resilience and unity of the city’s vibrant hip-hop community.
Two weeks ago, Sexyy Red teased a forthcoming deluxe version of her Hood Hottest Princessalbum, which initially dropped in June. She posted an Instagram video showing the presumed deluxe album cover soundtracked by her rapping, “F*ck my baby dad.” (The St. Louis-bred rapper is pregnant.)
Luckily, we don’t have to wait much longer to get the full Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe). In fact, that is a gross understatement. The album drops in less than 12 hours — at midnight, December 1.
Sexyy Red just wrapped her Hood Hottest Princess Tour, which spanned from October 16 to Wednesday night, November 29, at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California.
Most recently, Sexyy Red released the video for “Free My N***a.” At the beginning, Sexyy Red says to her pregnant belly, “Say ‘Free My Daddy,’” and we hear a manufactured baby’s voice say, “Free dada.” After that, Sexyy Red — in red lingerie — leads a protest to the gates of a prison and visits with her lover inside.
Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe) is out on 12/1 via Open Shift.
42 Dugg is clearly happy to be back in society after a one-year prison sentence. The pit-bull rapper was found guilty of failure to surrender himself. Furthermore, Dugg failed to serve a six-month sentence following a 2020 federal gun investigation. But, he is back in full force.
Since his release on October 16, the Detroit artist has been committed to feeding his fans. A week later he was back in the studio and dropped a hype single, “Go Again.”Travis Scott was repeatedly posting it on his Instagram stories, so you know it was popping off. Now, he has a co-sign from another top-flight name.
Over the past few years, J. Cole has been more supportive of the younger generation of artists. His recent feature placements have been proof of that. In a recent video clip, he is seen having a chat with Dugg in the studio. In addition, the recently freed rapper was playing his new single, “SpinDatBac,” for Cole. He was messing with it and it might be the reason we have it on our hands today. We see why the North Carolina MC likes it. The beat goes hard and Dugg is bringing the gritty and grimy energy all throughout.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from 42 Dugg, “SpinDatBac?” Is this the best single the Detroit rapper has put out this year? Will we get a future track with him and J. Cole on it? Do you think these two would sound good on a song together? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. In one of the most eye-popping headlines you will see today, rapper, social media starlet, and OnlyFans model, Bhad Bhabie recently unveiled her earnings. She joined the powerhouse platform in April 2021 and let us just say she did well for herself. A lot of people were apparently eager to see the other side of the now 20-year-old, and she made out big time. Bhabie shared a graphic of how much she made from then, up until November 2021. The Floridian’s biggest month was her debut, bringing in a whopping $18 million.
Over time, she saw a gradual dip in membership purchases. However, at the end of the day for Bhabie, she made more than enough to lift herself out of being broke. In an interview with Emily Ratajkowski on her High Low podcast, she revealed that things were rough for her financially. “I wasn’t really thinking much of it at the time. But I was actually broke as f*** before I started OnlyFans. Like, I was actually broke as f***. I barely had s***.” She continued, “My mom was in control of my money, so she was doing whatever she wanted to do, and I had a $500 limit on my card.”
She made the switch to OF because she was not seeing any money from her music. Now, she is living lavishly once again, and someone cannot fathom how much she made. 42 Dugg caught wind of the news and gave his brief but hilarious reaction to it. No Jumper shared the numbers on their Instagram page and Dugg commented, “Ouu cuz hit ah f*****g lick.” For those who do not know that means she made off with tons of money either by stealing or some other illegal action. Fans in the comments also had a lot to say. One goes, “Bro 18m in one month from OF is why I think the world is coming to an end ”
What are your initial thoughts on 42 Dugg’s reaction to Bhad Bhabie’s OnlyFans earnings? Did you have the same reaction as he did? Is OnlyFans a problem in our society? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. (WARNING: Spoilers for this week’s Rap Sh!t episode will be found below.)
The events in the second episode of Max’s Rap Sh!tseason two, titled “Heavy Traffic,” are soundtracked by songs that help to accentuate the emotions behind each scene. You can find a list of them below and details about the scenes the records were heard in.
Hood Brat, A.Chic, TT The Artist, Raedio — “Call Me Daddy”
We hear this record during the opening scene of “Heavy Traffic” as Shawna, Mia, Reina Reign, Duke, and Francois film a TikTok on their tour bus. The group shows off the bus and their new tour lifestyle to their followers with the video.
Smino — “Settle Down” Feat. Cory Henry & Ravyn Lenae
Smino’sLuv 4 Rent record plays around the 3:03 mark as Shawna & Mia get ready for their first performance. The duo is dressed in aprons as they believe that they’ll be matching Reina Reign, but Duke informs them that Reina will not be on theme with them which frustrates both Shawna and Mia.
Nardo Wick — “G Nikes” Feat. Polo G
Nardo Wick’s track with Polo G is heard around the 4:42 mark as we check in with Lamont and his daughter Melissa. Due to an early release from her school, and the unavailability of Lamont’s grandmother and Mia’s mom, Lamont is forced to bring Melissa to the studio with him as he works with an artist.
Reina Reign — “Tongue (Remix)” Feat. Shawna & Mia
Around the 6:38 mark, this track plays as Shawna & Mia take the stage with Reina Reign to perform their remix of “Tongue.” Though the performance went well, it’s clear that Shawna & Mia aren’t on the same page during this performance. Shawna, frustrated by how she and Mia looked on stage, confronts Mia about their performance, but it doesn’t go too well.
Raedio & Lord AK — “Suicide Mission”
We hear this song around the 13:08 mark as Lord AK goes on stage to begin his performance. Shawna, impressed, is in the crowd watching the performance before she’s pulled away by Duke and Mia to go to Lord AK’s green room.
Future — “Like Me” Feat. 42 Dugg & Lil Baby
Future’sI Never Liked You song plays around the 17:13 mark as Duke finally gets into Lord AK’s green room where the party is live and active. Duke meets one of Lord AK’s closest associates, Gat, and offers him some party favors to enhance his party experience.
Ron Suno — “Door”
This track plays around the 18:42 mark as Duke finds Shawna & Mia in the party. She’s clearly under the influence after taking a bit of cocaine with Gat. Duke launches into an energetic rant about making money and finding opportunities that leaves Shawna and Mia very confused.
Dear Silas — “Smoke” Feat. Sauce Father
Around the 19:45 mark, the track can be heard as Mia joins the fun of the party to play a game of flip cup with a gentleman we later find out to be Courtney Lou, the artist that Lamont told Mia to look out for. Meanwhile, Shawna stumbles into a few awkward moments at the party including one where she’s told that she gives “Rapsody vibes… if she was a hoe.”
Peachcurls — “Ass Shaker”
Peachcurls’ track can be heard around the 22:19 mark as the party in Lord AK’s room is still going strong. Shawna tries to talk to Gat but he pays her no mind. He instead kicks off a game where the winner will get to go on Lord AK’s tour bus. This game does nothing but show Gat’s colorism, and when Shawna calls him out for it and flexes her rap knowledge, he rudely sprays her with champagne.
Baby Rose — “Fight Club” Feat. Georgia Anne Muldrow
Baby Rose’sThrough And Through highlight plays around the 28:27 mark to close the episode as Shawna cleans herself after she is showered with champagne by Gat. She’s also frustrated by the disconnect between her and Mia, something that only gets worse when Mia lets the crew know that she’ll fly into the next city because she got an offer to spend some time with Cash.
New episodes of ‘Rap Sh!t’ are available on Max on Thursday at 3am EST/ 12 pm PST.
Under the record label information for 42 Dugg’s last album, Free Dem Boyz, which dropped in 2021, it seems he inked a deal as part of a joint venture between Lil Baby’s 4PF (Four Pockets Full) and Yo Gotti’sCMG (Collective Music Group).
When asked about the decision to ink a deal with 42 Dugg in May 2019, 42 Dugg told Billboard, “I’m really proud of Dugg’s growth and development over the years. His hard work is starting to pay off, and he’s only gonna get better as an artist. Baby and I know Dugg has the potential to be a superstar, and we’re both gonna do everything we can to keep putting him in the best positions to succeed.”
That makes 42 Dugg labelmates with artists such as Rylo Rodriguez, GloRilla, and Uproxx cover artist Moneybagg Yo, to name but a few.
