Sexyy Red’s success so far has largely been an extension of her unapologetically, hilariously ratchet songs — and the videos that promote them. Her latest, “Free My N****,” is a worthy entry to the collection, continuing the tradition of not GAF and spitting memorable, tongue-in-cheek raps over a trunk-thumping beat.

In the video, the St. Louis native — who is pregnant with her second child — leads a group of marchers outside a prison, holding signs with some familiar slogans about law enforcement. Sexyy, clad in red lingerie, a dressing gown, and her signature glasses (along with that eye-catching Big Sexyy chain), shows off her baby bump while dancing atop a squad car and twerks in front of the prison phones while receiving appreciation from her incarcerated beau.

The action culminates with Sexyy disguising herself as a guard and staging a prison break — but not before what we’re forced to assume is an unauthorized conjugal visit.

“Free My N****” is ostensibly the first single from the upcoming deluxe version of her album, Hood Hottest Princess. Sexyy is presumably finishing that up once she’s wrapped her Hood Hottest Princess Tour, the final show of which is scheduled for Wednesday at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

Not only is Sexyy Red expectiing a second child, she’s also at work on a new release. On November 17, the“No Panties” rapper took to her official social media pages to announce that after fans begged her for an extended version of her Hood Hottest Princess project, she would finally give in.

So, when does Sexyy Red’s Hood Hottest Princess Deluxe come out? Sadly, that’s not yet known. In the rapper’s upload to Instagram, she left her followers with the responsibility of choosing a release date. “When y’all want it ,” asked Sexyy Red. She then added, “Tag an artist u wanna see on thurr I’m finishing it rn .”

Sexyy Red hasn’t confirmed when the deluxe album expected to hit streaming services, but it’s already received support from her past collaborator, Drake, who liked her social media post.

With Sexyy Red’s friend and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj’s album Pink Friday 2, slated to drop on December 8, fans hope she’ll follow suit soon after. Since she’s expecting her second child, it would be the perfect maternity leave send-off. Also, depending on when she gives birth, she could send fans into a spiral if she’s announced as an opener for Nicki Minaj’s 2024 tour run.

It seems Sexyy Red is gearing up to add some new tracks to fans’ rotations, as she teased that there will be a deluxe version of her Hood Hottest Princess album. The teaser clip features audio of one of the songs, as she starts by saying, “F*ck my baby dad,” before telling listeners to “Look at them booty cheeks.”

She’s been remaining busy, as she is continuing to perform on her Hood Hottest Princess Tour, even after recently seemingly revealing that she was pregnant — which is likely tied to the lyrical reference in the forthcoming song.

Based on the new clip, fans are already obsessed and can’t wait to hear her new music.

“Sexyy Red really taking us to gag city with hood hottest princess deluxe,” one user wrote, which the rapper reposted.

Given that the original version dropped earlier this year, it’s unclear right now exactly when Sexyy Red will put out the deluxe. The tracklist is also currently TBA, but the St. Louis rapper did ask fans who they’d like to hear in terms of added features — so it seems like the finishing touches are still happening.
