Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Boast “VULTURES 1” Success Without Apple Music Support

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 1 is still getting plenty of play, despite how streaming platforms were not so quick to promote it. Moreover, Ye published a video on his Instagram Story of his full-length collaborator remarking on how Apple Music never featured them on most of their promotional features on their page for new releases, which they typically do for almost all big releases. Yet “CARNIVAL” with Rich The Kid and Playboi Carti is the highest-charting song on Apple Music right now. Given that the album went No. 1 on Billboard for another week after its release, this consistent commercial success is unsurprising.

However, it’s also important to note that Kanye West is not only one of the biggest artists alive -– and thus needs no promotion to make a splash -– but that the duo devised a promotional strategy of their own. Their Vultures listening parties across the U.S. and Europe netted them heaps of cash and built up the album across a couple of months of hype. In addition, we have Ye’s antisemitic crusade to consider as a massive and sadly unfinished story that boosted this collaboration’s profile. It’s very understandable that streaming services didn’t promote it at every turn, but equally unsurprising is how their notoriety and reach sidestepped that.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Flaunt Their No. 1 Despite Apple Music’s Lack Of Promo

Another factor to consider is that across February, whether or not you could listen to VULTURES 1 depended on which streamer you used and what day you tried to play it. The album disappeared from Spotify and Apple Music multiple times thanks mostly to distribution difficulties, as well as sample clearance issues that already plagued the release. Whether or not you find its commercial success in spite of this to be impressive or a sad reality probably depends on whether you buy into the controversies attached to it. Regardless, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign fought their way in with loads of fans behind them.

Meanwhile, with two more installments set for release (which we aren’t holding our breath on considering the chaotic launch of the first one) and a Ye solo album facing conflicting reports, who knows what they’ll do in March? VULTURES 2, plus 3 in April, could be better than the first one, or it could be just as divisive. But odds are that whatever long-form effort they drop will still hit big. For more news and the latest updates on Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign, and Vultures, stick around on HNHH.

Chris Brown Ordered to Pay $2 Million Debt for Unpaid Loan Related to Popeyes Chicken

[WATCH] Trailer for Nick Cannon's Film 'She Ball' Starring Chris Brown is Released

Last year, R&B sensation Chris Brown found himself embroiled in a legal battle over a $2 million unpaid loan taken out to purchase two Popeyes Chicken franchises alongside music producer The Dream and others. Now, after months of litigation, a Los Angeles court has delivered a decisive judgment against the singer, ordering him to pay up.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, this week saw the California court confirm a sister-state judgment filed by City National Bank (CNB) in September 2023. The bank had initially filed a lawsuit in Georgia, where it was awarded a staggering $1,760,654.11 in damages against Chris Brown.

CNB’s lawsuit, first reported by The Blast, alleged that it had provided Brown and his associates with a $2 million loan to facilitate the purchase of two Popeyes chicken restaurants. Despite the loan agreement, Brown failed to fulfill his financial obligations, leading to the bank’s pursuit of legal action to recover the outstanding debt.

With the court’s confirmation of the judgment, CNB now has the green light to initiate collection efforts against Chris Brown in California. The recent hearing saw the approval of CNB’s request, giving Brown a 30-day window to respond to the case or face finalization of the judgment.

The court’s filing issued a stern warning to Chris Brown, emphasizing the potential consequences of non-compliance. If Brown fails to address the judgment within the specified timeframe, his property could be subject to seizure as a means of satisfying the debt owed to CNB.

“This court may order that a writ of execution or other enforcement may issue. Your wages, money, and property could be taken without further warning from the court,” the filing read. “If enforcement procedures have already been issued, the property levied on will not be distributed until 30 days after you are served with this notice.”

The ruling marks a significant legal setback for Chris Brown, underscoring the importance of honoring financial obligations and contractual agreements. As the singer navigates the repercussions of the court’s decision, he faces the prospect of addressing the substantial debt owed to City National Bank in connection with the failed Popeyes Chicken franchise venture.

Is Angel Reese Declaring For The WNBA Draft? Fans Eye Senior Day For Potential Announcement

Angel Reese could make her intentions about her future known later today as LSU closes out its regular season with a home game against Kentucky. However, the game will also serve as LSU’s Senior Day, namely for Reese and Hailey Van Lith. However, whether it will be Reese’s final regular season game at the college level remains to be seen. Reese could declare for the WNBA Draft, following the example of Caitlin Clark. Despite this, she could opt to use her COVID waiver year, like UConn’s Paige Bueckers.

Earlier in the week, a cryptic tweet from Reese led fans to deduce that she is preparing to announce what direction her immediate future takes. “Should I stay, should I go? I don’t know,” Reese tweeted over a tribute video for LSU’s Senior Day. The quote stems from the 1998 track “I Don’t Know” from Keb’ Mo’. As mentioned, Reese has one more year of eligibility. Furthermore, she is one of the nation’s top NIL earners.

Angel Reese Joins Elite LSU Club With 2000th Point

Meanwhile, Angel Reese became the sixth LSU WBB player to score 2000 points as she surpassed the mark in a dominant win over Tennessee. Reese joined Joyce Walker, Seimone Augustus, Julie Gross, Cornelia Grayden, and Sylvia Fowles in the exclusive club. Reese began her career at Maryland, where she scored 719 points. However, she is now forever linked with the Tigers. Reese’s mark hit 2006 after scoring 11 against the Volunteers.

Reese and LSU are second in the SEC. However, that is as close to a regular season title as they will get this season after South Carolina guaranteed themselves that honor for the eighth time in 11 seasons. Instead, Reese and company will look to finish out the season against Kentucky before turning their attention to the SEC tournament and then, a March Madness tournament they will enter as defending champions. LSU is currently a three-seed in ESPN‘s latest bracketology.

Tago’s “D.A.M.N” Is A Perfect Introductory Track To His Music

At the start of 2024 we started a new segment here at HNHH where we track down new talent hip-hop and/or adjacent artists and compile about three to four of them. We then give you a quick synopsis about them and the song that we feel is a great way to introduce them. We will have another listicle of that coming in a few weeks for March. But for this artist, we have to give credit to AllHipHop for this hidden gem. Today, Tago makes his website premiere with a new single called “D.A.M.N.” Tago hails from Dallas, Texas and his style is so colorful.

That is apparent from the track, but also its creatively shot music video. Tago brings a smooth and confident tone to the song. Which makes sense considering what the main message is for this cut. According to AllHipHop, “D.A.M.N.” is an acronym that stands for “Determined and Motivated N****.”

Chrisean Rock Suggests Blueface Is Out Of Jail In New Tweet, Fans Speculate

Chrisean Rock is still supporting her volatile and on-and-off boo Blueface during his current stint in prison at press time. While most of her comments on the situation have been pretty standard, a recent tweet from Saturday (March 3) had some fans speculating that he actually is out of jail now. “Blueeeee,” the former Baddies star wrote, and one of the most popular replies to it was, “He better not be coming out? Twitter has been so peaceful.” “He out?” another user posited, whereas one account suggested that she was doing her makeup on Instagram Live recently in order to greet the California rapper when he makes it home.

Furthermore, this is all mostly speculative at this point, but there’s been a lot of content to suggest the prison stint is almost over. We also know that Blueface and Chrisean Rock reciprocated their dedication to one another, or at least that’s how a leaked jail call sounded. This whole situation’s drawn a lot of mixed reactions from fans, albeit leaning towards a more negative slant. Although some are happy to see them together and in a better place, others remember the long, often abusive, and always combative bond the two displayed online for the world to see, and they don’t want to click on it any longer.

Chrisean Rock Tweet Leads To Rumors Of Blueface Release: See Replies

However, if Chrisean Rock isn’t careful, she might end up in a similar situation to that of Blueface, so she has a lot to deal with on an individual level. For example, authorities recently issued a bench warrant for her arrest due to accusations of probation violation and assault. As of writing this article, no further developments emerged from this, but it’s likely that it poses a big problem. After all, he was arrested for probation violation too, but we’ll see what happens.

Meanwhile, they are still the bane of some artists out there, with NLE Choppa and Lil Mabu recently dropping a diss track against Blueface. It came with its fair share of antics mocking or referencing Chrisean, which we’re sure she didn’t appreciate too much. We’ll see what this freedom will result in whenever it actually happens for sure. On that note, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Chrisean Rock and her man… for now.

Is Bronny James Declaring For The NBA Draft? Rich Paul Gives Update On USC Freshman’s Thinking

Rich Paul has stated that Bronny James’ draft decision will be based on “team interest” and not projected draft position. “I don’t value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation,” Paul told ESPN. Furthermore, Paul noted that LeBron James’ long-stated desire to play with his son will not factor into the decision. However, Paul did note that LeBron would be “head over heels” if it happened “organically”. This comment also appeared to put to bed the idea that LeBron would leave the Lakers to play with Bronny.

It has been a less-than-ideal season for Bronny James. Entering college as a top-15 recruit, the start of his season was derailed by a cardiac arrest suffered last July. While that congenital defect has reportedly been addressed, Bronny will still have to get clearance from the NBA’s Fitness to Play panel. Additionally, Bronny has simply not played like an NBA prospect. He has averaged 5/2.8/2.4 a game for a Trojans team that has fallen well short of expectations. Projected to finish second in the Pac-12, USC is second-last in the division with two games left on the schedule.

Austin Rivers And Stephen Jackson Feud Over Bronny James

Of course, Bronny’s NBA fit remains a heated point of discussion. Stephen Jackson took offense to Austin Rivers’ rationale behind why LeBron and Bronny shouldn’t play on the same team if Bronny makes the move to the NBA. “Difference is you trash, Bronny not. You can’t compare to him scrub. And your daddy not LeBron. Shut up,” Jackson wrote in the comments on an Instagram post reporting Rivers’ original comments. Rivers later replied to the former NBA player. “All smiles…I didn’t even have to fight my own battles with ignorance, yall corrected it for me!! Thank you for not siding with delusion. Have a blessed day,” Rivers wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

However, Jackson’s reaction was bizarre given that Rivers had been arguing that Bronny doesn’t need the added obstacle of playing in his father’s shadow. “I don’t want to see Bronny play with [LeBron]… Him getting drafted & playing with his dad, I don’t want that negativity to come his way. He doesn’t deserve it… [He needs to] play somewhere where he can niche out his own identity,” Rivers told NBA Today.

Iann Dior Showcases Some Solid Singing Chops On EP “BLIND”

Iann Dior burst onto the scene back at the start of the 2020’s with he and 24kGoldn’s smash hit “Mood.” The song is over 1.8 billion (!) streams since its release in 2021. While the young Puerto Rican artist still has a respectable 11 million plus monthlies on the platform, the hype around him does not feel as strong as it once did. It seems artists like him and 24k had their massive hit and then people left them behind sort of. However, iann dior is still churning out some solid material if you were not aware, like his new EP BLIND.

This six-song project quickly follows up his 2023 album leave me where you found me. Iann Dior is still rocking the pop punk, emo rap style that he became known for. However, BLIND is more of a foray into the pop sound than anything else. Its lead single “House On Fire” is a terrific start to the tape that climaxes instrumentally around the 2:00 mark.

Listen To BLIND By Iann Dior

In the press release for iann’s newest effort, the “Blind Intro” gives away the tape’s meaning and overall message. “They say we hide things that we’re scared to see, maybe you were that for me.” Most of the tracks here are about relationships and the other usual topics we have heard from him in years past. Even, though the lyrical evolution is not as substantial as some would probably like, iann has some great tracks here.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new EP, BLIND, by iann dior? Is this his best project ever, why or why not? What songs are you gravitating toward and why? Do you think his hype has died down, or is he still a top-flight genre-bending hip-hop artist? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. DJ Akademiks Stunned To Discover Nicki Minaj Genuinely Sold Out “Pink Friday 2” Tour

DJ Akademiks’ plan to prove Nicki Minaj was “washed” backfired when the controversial social media creator discovered live on stream that the rapper’s Pink Friday 2 tour was genuinely sold out. Akademiks, a longtime critic of Minaj, had jumped online to “prove” that the claims of Minaj’s tour sales were overblown. However, try as he might, he was unable to any of her tour dates that had more than a few tickets still available. Minaj continues her tour tonight (March 3) with a show in Denver before heading to Las Vegas next week.

The Barbz, after learning of the livestream, were more than happy to dunk on Akademiks. “The industry is wicked. Dude clicked through multiple dates prepared to hate then realized that Nicki Minaj’s tour is INDEED SOLD OUT. Mind you they never do this to any other artist. Thankfully Nicki’s impact is immeasurable. Gods plan🙏,” one popular fan account wrote on X.

Nicki Minaj Fans Chant “F*ck Latto” At Opening Show Of Pink Friday 2 Tour

Meanwhile, the Barbz were out for blood as the Pink Friday 2 tour opened in Oakland, with members of the audience heard chanting “F-ck Latto” at several points. The animosity towards Latto likely stems from her beef with Ice Spice, who is considered a Minaj “ally” after several collabs between the two. Furthermore, Latto is considered a Cardi B “ally” after the pair collaborated on “Put It On Da Floor Again” last year.

Latto and Spice have been trading blows for the last few weeks. Spice released the diss track “Think You The Sh-t (Fart)” to take aim at Latto. Later, she went after her rival for using “Pretty Girl” music video footage in a TikTok. Meanwhile, Latto hit back with the diss track “Sunday Service”. Furthermore, she also referred to Spice as a “little girl” in a clapback post on social media. However, some Barbz have claimed the fandom does not hate Latto as a rule.
