Is Bronny James Declaring For The NBA Draft? Rich Paul Gives Update On USC Freshman’s Thinking

Rich Paul has stated that Bronny James’ draft decision will be based on “team interest” and not projected draft position. “I don’t value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation,” Paul told ESPN. Furthermore, Paul noted that LeBron James’ long-stated desire to play with his son will not factor into the decision. However, Paul did note that LeBron would be “head over heels” if it happened “organically”. This comment also appeared to put to bed the idea that LeBron would leave the Lakers to play with Bronny.

It has been a less-than-ideal season for Bronny James. Entering college as a top-15 recruit, the start of his season was derailed by a cardiac arrest suffered last July. While that congenital defect has reportedly been addressed, Bronny will still have to get clearance from the NBA’s Fitness to Play panel. Additionally, Bronny has simply not played like an NBA prospect. He has averaged 5/2.8/2.4 a game for a Trojans team that has fallen well short of expectations. Projected to finish second in the Pac-12, USC is second-last in the division with two games left on the schedule.

Of course, Bronny’s NBA fit remains a heated point of discussion. Stephen Jackson took offense to Austin Rivers’ rationale behind why LeBron and Bronny shouldn’t play on the same team if Bronny makes the move to the NBA. “Difference is you trash, Bronny not. You can’t compare to him scrub. And your daddy not LeBron. Shut up,” Jackson wrote in the comments on an Instagram post reporting Rivers’ original comments. Rivers later replied to the former NBA player. “All smiles…I didn’t even have to fight my own battles with ignorance, yall corrected it for me!! Thank you for not siding with delusion. Have a blessed day,” Rivers wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

However, Jackson’s reaction was bizarre given that Rivers had been arguing that Bronny doesn’t need the added obstacle of playing in his father’s shadow. “I don’t want to see Bronny play with [LeBron]… Him getting drafted & playing with his dad, I don’t want that negativity to come his way. He doesn’t deserve it… [He needs to] play somewhere where he can niche out his own identity,” Rivers told NBA Today.

Adele & Rich Paul Reportedly Set To Get Married

Adele and Rich Paul are a power couple that many did not see coming. Back in 2021, the powerful NBA agent was seen courtside with Adele at some NBA matches. Subsequently, it was revealed that the two were dating and were even getting serious. Overall, the two have progressed quite nicely over the last couple of years. There have been all sorts of rumors about the two getting engaged, and those rumors have only gotten stronger as of late. Now, inside sources are all but confirming it.

In a new report from The Jasmine Brand, it was revealed that the two are planning the wedding. Allegedly, this wedding could happen as soon as this year. Adele is going to be touring overseas, and she hopes to show Rich Paul her British heritage. Moreover, the two want to have a tiny wedding. The plan is to keep things tight and within their inner circles. “She’s super excited about showing Rich more of her heritage…It’s been on their to-do list for literally years now…Being in Europe gives her that perfect opportunity and he’s thrilled to be able to go with her,” the report reads.

Rich Paul Reveals If LeBron James Will Be Traded At The Deadline

Rich Paul has shut down any speculation that LeBron James will be traded at the NBA trade deadline. “LeBron won’t be traded, and we aren’t asking to be,” Paul said in response to growing speculation that LeBron might be leaving the Lakers midseason. Of course, LeBron hasn’t helped quiet the rumors. Following a loss to the Lakers earlier this week, LeBron posted an hourglass emoji to social media.

The Lakers are 25-25 and sit in 9th in the Western Conference. LeBron sat out the team’s 50th game, a surprise win over the Celtics that showcased the team’s young and emerging talent. However, the Lakers have reportedly been active in trade talks as they look to bolster the roster for the final 32 games of the season.

However, Paul’s comments about his biggest client haven’t stopped people from making their trade pitches regardless. Stephen A. Smith has caused a stir after using a segment on First Take to pitch a deadline trade between his Knicks and the Lakers to acquire LeBron James. Smith’s pitch is more based on the vibes of “LeBron at MSG” rather than how LeBron would actually make the Knicks a better team. Smith’s Knicks are currently in the East and are riding a six-game winstreak. However, they recently lost the team’s second scorer, Julius Randle, until at least after the All-Star Game.

However, fans are absolutely not in agreement with the ESPN host. “Who’s gonna tell him that move by itself would almost singlehandedly destroy everything the Knicks have built Last thing I want on the Knicks is a 39 year-old player GM who is clearly holding his own team back in noticeable ways,” one fan noted. “WE DONT WANT LEBRON. The weekend prior, Adele appeared to confirm that she and Paul had tied the knot after two years. The move is a throwback to a moment the week before when Chavis revealed during an interview on Check That Stat that one of her non-OnlyFans side hustles was running a massage business. What Did Rich Paul Say About Kid Cudi & Cleveland?

For a city that doesn’t even crack the top 50 biggest in America, Cleveland, Ohio has had an outsized impact on pop culture. But two of its most successful natives appear to have a disagreement on just how much one of them is beloved in the city itself.

After fellow Cleveland natives Rich Paul and Jake Paul (… no relation, oddly enough) noted that the city doesn’t really “embrace” him the way it should, Kid Cudi posted a long response to them on Twitter, arguing that he makes “most people in that city and the state of Ohio proud.”

During his appearance on Jake’s podcast BS w/ Jake Paul, Rich noted, “You can’t expect somebody to treat a situation any differently than how they were treated.” While Jake claimed that Cudi “acts like he’s not from there,” noting that the natives have major pride for it.

However, he said, Cudi charged him an “astronomical fee” to perform at one of Jake’s recent boxing matches. Rich defended him, saying he couldn’t blame Cudi for pursuing his business.

However, Cudi seemed to take these statements personally, offering the below commentary before deleting his post altogether:

Ok so I just saw this and heres my thoughts:
Rich Paul doesn’t know me. He doesn’t know my life. My mom lives in Cleveland and lye been goin there on holiciays and summer breaks for years. Mostly when im in Cleveland, its family time. Im not throwin events in the city cuz its already too hot for me in the city. When im there I like the chill. It hangin at Cleveland clubs or in the streets or whatever the fuck else u expect me to do. Oh I get it, was I suppose to catch a couple Browns or Cays games? Im the most lowkey guy around. You aint suppose to see me brother. Thats number 1. Number 2: I will say the city of Cleveland has embraced me over the years. So I disagree. Radio in Cleveland might not play my shit, but I had 20k people at Moon MaAs Landing in Cleveland last year. A success. And were cloin it again too. Not only does the city embrace me, I make most people in that city and the state of Ohio proud. Everytime I record a record I mention the city. Thats all day. Everybody that listens to my music knows Im proud of where im from. And 3rd, as far as Jake Paul, listen chief, Im an artist. Areal one. I make art for a living. Im not some guy that comes out to perform at boxing matches. I entertained it tho cuz it was u, anci tho it went against what I stand for I submitted a fee. My fee is my fee. Especially for some shit thats not my style. If im gonna do it its gonna be worth it for my pockets and time. This is business baby. Im not these other rappin ass niggas that will show up for a lil check. U came to me u shoulda knew what time it was young man. U dont know me either to say im anything broski. So theres that. Cudi’s well within his rights to respond (although it looks like he’s mistaken Jake’s comments for Rich’s — which doesn’t seem surprising given Cudi isn’t really a sports guy), but the length and otne of his response is giving “The lady doth protest too much, methinks” energy. Perhaps he got some more context and that’s why he deleted the post; the internet has a way of removing context and generating friction where there shouldn’t be any.

Kid Cudi’s Cleveland Roots Disputed By Rich Paul

Rich Paul took aim at Kid Cudi’s Cleveland heritage during a recent appearance on Jake Paul’s podcast. “Do I think how Cudi treats Cleveland is weird? No, because I don’t think Cleveland ever embraced Cudi, unfortunately. Because you can’t expect somebody to treat a situation any different to how they were treated,” Paul said.

Despite Paul’s comments, Cudi has also repped his home city. His debut mixtape in 2008 featured the track “Cleveland is the Reason”. Furthermore, the release featured several other references to the Ohio hub. He also launched a Cleveland-based music festival, Man Moon’s Landing, last year. “It was dope. I was exposed to a lot of different things. It was like a suburb and the hood was a couple blocks away. There was a bar at the end of my street my dad used to take me to. He would talk to his buddies and have a beer and I would sit there and eat jellybeans. I was like 5 or 6. I came to New York solely to do music. The response was never what I wanted [in Cleveland] because the Cleveland audience only wanted to hear that street sh-t,” Cudi said in 2008.

Jake Paul Also Trashes Kid Cudi

Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Paul also took shots at Cudi. Paul’s grievance surrounded Cudi’s appearance fees. Paul claimed that he had reached out to Cudi about performing at his 2021 fight against Tyron Woodley. However, Cudi’s fee was just too much for Paul to afford. “I tried to get him to perform at the Tyron Woodley fight just before I came out and he asked for like, an astronomical fee that was like, ‘F-ck you.’ I get it, but it’s like, this was like some sh-t to tap in back with the city. Like, first event back from Covid,” Paul explained.

Furthermore, Paul argued that he gave discounts on his appearance fees when the City of Cleveland was involved. With Cudi out, Paul instead made his ring entrance to recordings of Machine Gun Kelly‘s “Till I Die” and Jeezy‘s “Put On”. Paul would go on to beat the retired MMA fighter via split decision. Cudi has not yet responded to the allegations.

If we’re just talking shooting, this is the class I’m in. Trae, Darius Garland. I’m talking about guys who shoot the three really well,” Paul said. However, host Shannon Sharpe was absolutely blown away by the braggadocious claim of his guest. “You gotta drink so more because you’re too sober to be saying what you saying right now,” Sharpe quipped.

Paul, who represents some of the biggest names in the NBA, is not one who is often seen on the court. The man hasn’t even appeared in an NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Therefore, it’s nearly impossible to tell just how good his three-point shot is. However, he and Sharpe did say “bet” during their interview. However, maybe someday we’ll find out if Paul’s claims are cap or not.

According to Economic Times and Jasmine Brand, she was in attendance at one of her close friend’s comedy shows in Los Angeles. Alan Carr is his name, and he also hails from the UK. What got people buzzing at the show was this question posed. Carr asked if anyone had said “I do” lately, and Adele shouted out that she had done just that. Deuxmoi shared some submissions of people who were also at the event and they detailed that part of the show. On face value, this seems fishy. Especially because Adele was at the relatively private show of a dear friend. There is certainly a chance that these two planned this portion of the show ahead of time to get people riled up about her relationship with Paul.
