Kim Kardashian was once again playing the role of sports mom as she and her son Saint West were spotted courtside for the Lakers’ matchup against the Warriors this week. Kim sported a tight-fitting white tee and black leather pants while Saint wore an oversized LeBron jersey. Other big-name fans taking in the game were Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez as well as the Kardashian-affiliated Bad Bunny.

However, the game itself was chaotic. The final two minutes of play took over 20 minutes to complete due to a myriad of issues. Darvin Ham challenged an out-of-bounds call that won the Lakers the ball but cost the team points due to a prior LeBron three being ruled out on review. The game was delayed by yet more reviews before the shot clock decided to simply stop working. Despite 40 points from LeBron, the Lakers fell 128-121. During the turmoil, Kim and Saint posed for several pictures for courtside photographers. Kim also spoke with fans while Saint flashed a peace sign at the cameras.

LeBron James surpassed 40,000 career points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. He is the first player in NBA history to accomplish the feat. He scored the historic point with a driving layup at the 10:39 mark of the second quarter. He entered the game needing nine points.

James previously became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history by scoring his 38,388th point on February 7, 2023. He passed the former highest-scoring player of all time, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to do so.

Meanwhile, Wayne recently once again stated that he wants to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. However, Wayne revealed that he is yet to be contacted about the opportunity. “I will not lie to you, I have not got a call or nothing. But we are praying. We praying. We keeping our fingers crossed. I’m working hard. I’mma make sure this next album and everything I do is killer. I wanna just make it hard for them not to holler at the boy,” Wayne told the 4HUNNID podcast.

Jordan Poole Contract Labeled “One Of The Worst In the NBA Right Now”

However, several anonymous NBA teams recently called Poole’s fully guaranteed four-year $128M contract “one of the worst in the league right now”, according to ESPN‘s Bobby Marks. Poole was meant to become the face of a new-look Wizards team but has not lived up to expectations. Putting up 16/2.5/3.7, Poole is a mediocre leader on one of the league’s worst teams. And yet, because Poole’s contract is guaranteed, the Wizards are stuck with him. Furthermore, they will likely owe him a further $2M for playing at least 65 games per season, a necessity because they have no one better to sub in as things stand.

Criticism of Poole has only increased in recent months as he has struggled to make his presence on the league known. LeBron James has addressed the rumors that he was nearly involved in a trade to the Golden State Warriors prior to the deadline. Speaking with TNT’s Inside the NBA prior to the All-Star Game on Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers star claimed that he was unaware of the deal prior to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne’s reports on it, last week.

Ernie Johnson prompted James with the question of how far the deal went. “It didn’t go far at all. I actually heard about it when everybody else heard about it,” James said. He added that it “never even got to me.”

Warriors forward Draymond Green apparently texted Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul in an attempt to sway James. The failed move comes as both the Warriors and Lakers have been struggling. Anthony Davis is confident that the Lakers are simply been slow out of the gates and are destined for greatness in the home stretch of the NBA season. “[It’s] not what we can be, but it’s who we are. We’re starting to establish that we’re going to be a fast-paced team, a team that likes to get into the paint, get to the line. But also be tenacious on the defensive end. Davis had 37 points against Utah as the Lakers played without LeBron James. While LeBron was sitting due to ankle soreness, the game came out after a bombshell story from ESPN. The Golden State Warriors reportedly made an eleventh-hour push to acquire LeBron just before last week’s NBA trade deadline. Warriors owner Joe Lacob was eager to engage in talks with the Lakers. However, both owner Jeannie Buss and LeBron’s camp were not interested in engaging with the Warriors. The lack of interest from LeBron’s camp is consistent with pre-trade deadline news that he would be remaining with the Lakers through the rest of the season. However, things reportedly went as far as Draymond Green texting Rich Paul. The veteran Warrior and LeBron’s agency stablemate tried to convince their mutual agent to get LeBron on board with the trade.

Lil Wayne Walks Back Anthony Davis Comments

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne has reversed course on one of his bolder basketball takes. The rapper argued that Anthony Davis is now irreplaceable for the Lakers. “You can’t get nobody for him that’s gon’ replace what he can do. There’s nobody out there like that. If you could get Jokic, but you can’t do that,” Wayne said on UNDISPUTED last week.
