Wack 100 Thinks It’s Possible Drake & UMG Are Really In Cahoots Amid Lawsuit

Drake’s lawsuit against UMG has Wack 100 curious about a possible bigger scheme at work. In the latest episode of his The Adam 22 & Wack 100 Show, he proposed that the 6 God and UMG could be working together behind the scenes. “I think its a bigger picture, I’m just putting that out there,” Wack tells his co-host. “And I’ma call it right now. If we look up, and out of nowhere, a month or two, three from now, Drake drops the lawsuit. He just drops it and goes away. I then want somebody to go do the research on if UMG’s stock dropped after he filed this lawsuit. Takes a couple of months sometimes. And if there is some type of company or entity that came in a bought up a shitload of the stock. And now that he [Drake] dropped it, it starts to climb up.”

Wack elaborates on his claim with: “I think, and I see things different. You want me to look over there, but let me look in these other spaces. If that stock drops … And we see a shell company come in a buy a bunch of it. And then, out of nowhere, Drake drops the lawsuit. And that stock shoots up to 30, 40. I’ma think it was a play. This is all smoke and mirrors. The real play is over there. That’s where I think the play is at.”

Wack 100 Theorizes Drake & UMG Are Working Together In Lawsuit

Adam 22 supported Drake in the battle. He claims that Drizzy’s lawsuit could make him a hero if the outcome is in his favor. About the lawsuit, Adam said, “Anyone acting like Drake is just a bad loser hasn’t read this shit yet. If half of this gets proven, Drake will look like a hero for exposing the corrupt music industry.” His No Jumper co-hosts shared mixed reviews on the beef’s outcome.

Wack 100 commented on various aspects of the iconic battle since it began in April. Before the theories, Wack, manager of The Game, Ray J, and Blueface, advised Drake to refrain from involving street culture after it was claimed the rap star allegedly set to visit Compton. Wack is closely connected to Birdman and Cash Money Records. Wack joined the No Jumper broadcast team in 2022.

In between quality time with friends and family, Jack Harlow spent some of his holiday time with fans. On November 28 and 29, the “Hello Miss Johnson” rapper teamed with the Louisville Orchestra for a performance at The Kentucky Center’s Whitney Hall. Now, a clip from his special concert has spread far beyond his hometown.

During his show, Jack Harlow decided to show off his vocal ability by performing a cover of the late Elvis Presley’sCan’t Help Falling In Love.” Now, the video (viewable here) has sparked a viral response from users online.

Initially, supporters were impressed by Harlow’s singing voice. However, that quickly faded away as users claimed Harlow was “softly launching” his exit from rap music. Others took it even further accusing Harlow of being a culture vulture.

“It’s starting… soon he’ll be just like the rest of the white rappers,” declared one user.

“A culture vulture covering a song by the ‘KING’ of the culture vultures,” wrote one user.

MGK, Post Malone, and now Jack Harlow using the rap genre/black culture as a stepping stone to being famous 😭,” chimed another.

“This is so typical of [white] rappers, get clout and fame off rap music then transition to another genre,” penned another.

But not everyone feels like Harlow is washing his hands of rap. “The narrative that he’s shifting genres is stupid lmao. His last album was a RAP album, he just covered a song 🤣,” wrote one fan.

Jack Harlow hasn’t addressed the online banter.

Charleston White Blasts Drake For UMG Lawsuit After Kendrick Lamar Battle

Known for his controversial commentary, comedian Charleston White shared his opinion on Drake’s lawsuit against Universal Music Group in a new interview released Saturday (Nov. 30). The Dallas native slammed Drizzy’s legal action over “Not Like Us,” calling the rap star “weak” for not accepting defeat in battle with Kendrick Lamar. “Weak a$$, yellow n***a cryin’, but he always had the Jews behind him; how is he claiming it’s unfair?” White tells Real Lyfe Street Starz. “Just enjoy the money. Let the little, short Kendrick have his win. Come on, all that money you got.”

White elaborated on his response, acknowledging Drake’s Memphis roots and white mother. “That’s ‘yellow’ kid with the white momma tryna come hang out in the Memphis projects with his black cousins and gotta stay on the porch. Cause they know you can’t go out there and play with them kids. Yeah, Aubrey, whatever that man’s name is. That man’s name says he is “weak.” Aubrey can’t play with no Kendrick. Kendrick Lamar been getting him up. You heard his story. That man grew up rough. Yeah, get yo a$$ back on that porch, Aubrey. F*ck wrong with you. Them kids will eat you alive.”

Charleston White Says Drake’s UMG Lawsuit Is “Weak”

Drake referenced his Memphis roots in the past on songs like “Worst Behavior.” In the song’s music video, Drizzy visited his family in Memphis and hung out with the city’s legends Three-Six Mafia. The 6 God’s lawsuit claims Universal Music Group helped damage his reputation using various “payola” tactics. According to UMG, the claims are false, and the rapper should sue his rival instead. Drake filed a second lawsuit against UMG in Texas court last week.

In the interview, White discusses his run-in with Dallas rap star Trapboy Freddy, religion, and his new movie role. The comedian is known to pepper spray his aggressors. Others to have beef with Charleston White in 2024 include T.I. and fellow comedian T.K. Kirkland.

NLE Choppa Slams Woah Vicky For Accusing Him Of Selling His Soul To The Devil

Recently, Woah Vicky went after NLE Choppa in what appeared to be an unwarranted attack on X. In a post, she accused the “GO” rapper of selling his soul to the devil. “Nle choppa sould his soul to the devil. B that’s why he’s saying he’s gay now. He’s a puppet. But hey. Your soul belongs to God it’s not yours to sell it’s never too Jesus loves you,” she wrote.

NLE Choppa didn’t waste any time before firing back. In his response, he accused her of just being bitter because he wouldn’t hook up with her. While it’s unclear whether or not Woah Vicky actually has any interest in NLE Choppa, he suggested that her outburst was a result of bitterness. “Cause I won’t give yo herbal ranch aioli cigarettes built a** no dick,” he wrote back. Obviously, he didn’t appreciate her random insult or any hate she may be directing at the LGBTQIA+ community.

NLE Choppa Shuts Down Woah Vicky On X

Choppa has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community for some time now and never hesitates to show his support for all of his fans even amid backlash. During a recent conversation with Yung Miami on her Revolt podcast Caresha Please, for example, he opened up about having a large queer following. According to him, he’s grateful and thinks it’s important to love everyone even if they lead a different life than he does.

“Yeah, I’m appreciative of it,” he told the former City Girls performer. “I’m appreciative of it because, at the end of the day, I feel like we are taught to not show love to people because they walk a different life. Who taught that s**t? Who taught that people are supposed to show hate in any instance? God don’t do that. God is love. What the hell is we showing hate for? He would never, He would never. What would God do?”

DJ Akademiks Reacts To Drake Reportedly Unfollowing Timbaland Amid UMG Legal Battle

Last week, Drake made one of his most controversial moves yet with a pair of legal filings against Universal Music Group (UMG). He accuses the company of artificially boosting Kendrick Lamar’s hit diss track “Not Like Us.” He also alleges that UMG could have prevented the release of the song, on which Kendrick accuses him of being a sexual predator. “UMG did not rely on chance, or even ordinary business practices,” one filing alleges, according to Billboard. “It instead launched a campaign to manipulate and saturate the streaming services and airwaves.”

Of course, this resulted in mixed reactions from social media users and Drake’s peers, including Timbaland. Recently, he commented on an Instagram post questioning whether or not it’s possible for Drake to come out on top amid the legal battle and expose alleged corruption in the music industry. He made his stance clear as day with a simple GIF of a man shaking his head, which it appears as though Drake did not appreciate.

DJ Akademiks Looks Back On Drake & Timbaland’s Past

Social media sleuths quickly noticed that Drake seemingly unfollowed Timbaland on Instagram, indicating that he might have taken offense to what he thought was shade. Timbaland later clarified that he’s simply waiting to see how the situation plays out. “That head shake means let the story play out,” he wrote. “Mal might b on to something. They say you have to destroy to rebuild!!!” Now, DJ Akademiks has weighed in on the reported unfollow, seeming surprised considering what fans have previously seen of their relationship. He pointed out that Timbaland has seemingly never had anything bad to say about Drake, and questioned exactly what he meant by his follow-up comment.

This is far from the first time Ak has commented on Drake as of late, however. During another recent stream, he argued that Drake’s older material is still carrying his success rather than his newer work. “80 to 85 percent of Drake’s current streams is from albums that dropped over six years ago,” he said. “And I’m being very fair here. I love Drake, that’s my favorite artist. Bro, the labels look at him different.

Lizzo Flaunts More Weight Loss At Thanksgiving Dinner

Lizzo continues to captivate fans, this time showcasing her striking weight loss transformation while preparing for Thanksgiving. The singer, known for her charisma and confidence, shared a video flaunting her sleek figure in a curve-hugging floral dress. She accompanied the post with the playful caption, “Y’all weren’t the only ones eating yesterday.” This glimpse into her holiday celebration marks the second time in a week that Lizzo has drawn attention to her evolving appearance. Her weight loss journey has received mixed reactions, with her responding to it on multiple occasions.

Last week, she stunned her Instagram followers with photos revealing her new look, sparking admiration and conversation. Although Lizzo hasn’t explicitly addressed her weight loss journey, it seems to align with her recent public focus on health and fitness. The transformation comes after Lizzo became a subject of satire in South Park earlier this year. Rather than retreating, she met the moment with humor and resilience. She not only embraced a disciplined workout routine, sharing gym updates with her fans but also leaned into the joke by dressing as “Lizzozempic,” a parody Ozempic character inspired by her, for Halloween.

4batz Wants A “Hood Grammy” On Our New “R&B Season” Playlist Update

Since the year is dying down and the music industry is going on a bit of a recess, it’s a bit light on our end for our latest R&B Season playlist update, which rounds up the best of the best genre-adjacent releases each – or close to this – week. But we still have a couple of great tracks to talk about that dropped recently, including the return of one of 2024’s breakout stars. 4batz recently came through with the new single “hood grammy.” It’s about as atmospheric and chilled-out as his other material (and with a similar flow), but the sharp snare and the more buzzing tones amp up the impact a little bit.

In addition, we wanted to shout out the new Miguel cut, “Always Time,” on our R&B Season playlist update. It’s a gorgeous guitar-led ballad that evolves little by little into a more dramatic, orchestral, and passionate outro by the end. The road there is also very captivating thanks to very striking and unique vocal harmonies, some subtle but welcome picking pattern and chord changes, and plenty of atmosphere. No matter how you slice it, it’s an incredibly gratifying record by the time it ends.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist

While our R&B Season playlist update is scant this week, we certainly got more than we expected last week, so we won’t complain. Kendrick Lamar shocked the world by releasing his new surprise album GNX after a ridiculous championship year. While most of the project focuses on West Coast hyphy bangers and compelling lyrical exercises, it also contains some of K.Dot’s most impressive and incredible melodic cuts across his whole discography. “luther” featuring SZA is an absolute treat, and its catchiness will truly take you over on impact.

In addition, we got some more new hip-hop this week on our Fire Emoji playlist update, including the final posthumous Juice WRLD album, a re-release of one of J. Cole’s classic mixtapes, and another single from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s upcoming Missionary album. There have been a lot of amazing releases in 2024, but while things seem to be slowing down right now, this all excites us a lot for next year.

Karlissa Saffold, Blueface’s Mom, Frantic Over Rapper’s “Chrisean Rock” Tattoo On His Face

Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, has been very vocal about the rapper’s new tattoos while he is in jail. In a new Instagram story, Saffold delivers a hysterical reaction to her son’s new ink that pays tribute to his on-and-off girlfriend Chrisean Rock, claiming it all to be a bad dream. “Oh my god, I had the worst nightmare in the world,” Saffold yells while running through her home. “I had a dream last night that John tattooed Chrisean Rock’s name on his face. And then I had a dream that he covered it up, and it said ‘Christian.’ Hallelujah. He [John] gonna get it together, Lord. Ain’t he?”

Blueface’s mom followed up the post with a screenshot of a text message to the rap star, real name Johnathan Porter. The message reads: “Tattoo on your face is crazy!” The post comes after the rapper’s mother expressed disappointment in a video the rap star shared on social media last week, which featured possible new jail tattoos on his face. The 27-year-old “Thotiana” hitmaker is serving a jail term for probation violation. Blueface’s jail ink hasn’t been confirmed after the video following a September mugshot with no new facial tattoos. The potential “Chrisean Rock” ink adds to rumors of the on-and-off couple recently getting married.

Blueface’s Mom, Karlissa Saffold, Doesn’t Like His New “Chrisean Rock” Ink

In addition to the video and screenshot, Saffold’s posts included a photo of Blueface with the new tattoo, and a message about Chrisean. It reads: “I believe my son was going to do his best by Rock but her past ninja always pop up at the wrong time reminding him of who she is. Girl I had the same problem with his daddy. They said he removed the tattoo this morning [cry laughing face emoji].” The posts concludes with a video of Blueface and Chrisean Rock during a jail phone call, where the rapper shows her his new tattoo on his cheek.

After changing her last name, Chrisean Rock has been openly discussing getting married to Blueface. The authenticity of their marriage has yet to be determined. The rapper’s release remains unknown at the time after originally set to be released this summer.
