Azealia Banks Goes After Beyonce Yet Again For Her “Ghetto” Whiskey Brand

Azealia Banks is not the biggest Beyonce fan in the world, something that you’ve seen countless times thanks to countless rants. Moreover, the last time that the former dragged the latter online was through accusations of a “smear campaign” on Bey and Jay-Z’s behalf for Banks’ criticism of her new country era. Now, the New York femcee is instead going after something a little bit more light but still very, very personal to the Texas superstar. This new subject of hate is her new whiskey brand SirDavis. It’s named after Bey’s great-grandfather Davis Hogue, who was a Southern farmer and moonshiner during the Prohibition era.

“I’m sorry Beyonce I love you down,” Azealia Banks began her Twitter rant on Thursday night (September 5). “But ‘SIRDAVIS‘ is a horrible name for a luxury spirits brand. Its so ghetto. Its giving 1980’s hood francophile ‘Latoya, Shaniqua’ teas. Change the name to ‘Renaissance.’ That’s actually a marketing slay. Renaissance whisky gives me classy successful handsome older black man with the good cologne & the good teeth/ spent $500,000 buying out some superbowl box seats / expensive legacy d**k. ‘Sir Davis’ is giving southern comfort/ e&J with some matted dreads and dry knuckles.”

All in all, not the worst or meanest rant in this saga, but certainly not the most earned or understandable, either. To be fair, maybe we’re just in the wrong for not looking into liquor branding with the same level of attention to detail. Elsewhere, Azealia Banks threw her hat into the Ice Spice/Cleotrapa drama ring by expressing solidarity with the latter. “I don’t like how everyone is trying to make cleotrapa look,” she tweeted.

“Any f***ing who @iamcleotrapa will be performing with me on Halloween Oct 31. at @Terminal5NYC,” Azealia Banks continued. “She will – be paid, have her own space to glam, whatever she wants on her rider.. because i have f***ing respect & class… Period. Russell Simmons Escalates Legal Battle with Ex-Wife Kimora Lee Simmons Over Financial Dispute

Russell Simmons’ legal battle with his ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, appears far from over, despite his earlier optimism about a resolution. Four months ago, Russell hinted that the lawsuit he filed against Kimora was close to being settled, but recent developments suggest otherwise.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, the 66-year-old music mogul has ramped up his efforts, demanding that Kimora, 49, produce private text messages and appear for a deposition this month as part of their ongoing federal court dispute. The case centers around allegations that Kimora used Russell’s shares of their jointly owned energy drink company to bail out her then-husband, Tim Leissner, from jail.

Russell’s recent legal moves indicate that the two have reached an impasse regarding the production of key documents he believes are critical to proving his case. He is specifically seeking communications between Kimora and Tim Leissner related to financial transactions that are at the heart of the dispute, as well as communications between Kimora and her financial advisors. Despite repeated requests, Kimora has not turned over the texts Russell believes are necessary for his case.

“The only text messages Ms. Lee has produced appear to be messages sent or received by Defendant Leissner, not her,” Russell’s lawyer argued, adding that Russell is entitled to messages containing responsive content, excluding those solely between Kimora and Leissner unless third parties were involved in the conversation.

In addition to the document dispute, Russell is pressing for Kimora to attend a deposition in New York. However, Kimora’s legal team has pushed back, arguing that she resides in Los Angeles, where three of her five children—who are school-age minors—live with her. Her lawyer emphasized that Russell is well aware of her location, noting that he has even sued her in Los Angeles previously. Kimora is insisting that the deposition take place in Los Angeles instead.

As tensions between the former couple escalate, a judge has set a hearing for October to address these issues.

At this point in the clip below, the footage starts to cut out presumably due to poor connection on the music executive’s end. Eventually, things got back in order. “I’ma show y’all, look.” Then, Dame Dash removed the top part of his implant-supported dentures to show fans how they normally come off. “So that’s what happened, the fronts. But, you know, I thought it was hilarious. I ain’t try to edit it, I think it’s good for jokes and s**t. But yeah, they’re not dentures, and I think it’s hilarious.”

Meanwhile, Dame Dash still has a lot of other issues to deal with if he wants 50 Cent to stop clowning his financial status. These include a lot of tax and child support debt, something that impacted his Roc auction. We’ll see what else develops in this saga, and whether or not there will be other hilarious moments that both parties can laugh at together. It might be at the expense of the other, but if it’s all in good fun, maybe that can lead them to a peace arrangement.

Big Sean Receives Unfortunate Final Sales Results For “Better Me Than You”

There was a lot of potential for Better Me Than You, the sixth studio album from Big Sean. For the most part, the lead singles were extremely promising to very good. Then, when you get into the themes and ideas promised, they are mature, fairly thought-provoking, and motivating. Furthermore, the features list had a lot to offer. Gunna, Charlie Wilson, Thundercat, Kodak Black, Bryson Tiller, and The Alchemist are just a few that make a pretty star-studded cast. On the surface, there’s a lot to like. However, when you get into the album and perhaps listen to it a couple of times, you probably caught some inconsistencies.

For us, those included too many instances of Sean sounding half asleep on the mic. Also, with the tracklist sitting at 21 songs, there was too much fluff and some of them sounded out of place. The Cash Cobain song was the biggest offender of this. We feel these are the reasons why Big Sean was only able to sell 22,000 copies (courtesy of DJ Akademiks) of his newest effort in its first week. Also not helping him was the fact that he was pretty inactive after the release of Detroit 2. Even though he’s major artist of the 2010s, he doesn’t have the same luxury of a Travis Scott to wait that long in between releases.

The final results were pretty on par with the 24,000 units prediction, and with this being official, this is now his lowest first week of his career. Prior, Sean had never debuted lower than three on the charts. Now, he will be lucky to be in the top 20-25. Throughout his time in the genre, there have been a lot of people that are highly critical of the Detroit MC. Now, with these numbers confirmed, they are coming out in droves. “I don’t wanna hear no more talk from him about “Big 3” or anything among those lines”, one X user states. “Damn what’s that upcoming j cole album called? Chrisean Rock Delivers Hopeful Update After Prison Release: Watch

Reportedly, she faced charges for alleged assault and marijuana possession in California and Oklahoma.

While fans were certainly worried about the well-being of the Baddies star, they were particularly concerned for her child. Chrisean Jr. just turned one, and unfortunately did so without either of his parents. Luckily, his mom was finally released yesterday, and the two of them were able to have a heartwarming reunion.
