Drill music appears to be the contemporary sound of New York. It has appeal from 30-year-olds like Fivio Foreign to 15-year-olds like rising sensation Sugarhill Ddot. The latter is part of a new wave of young talent advancing the bubbling subgenre and expanding its reach far beyond the five boroughs, backed by the recently relaunched and revamped Priority Records.
Who Is Sugarhill Ddot?
SugarHill Ddot’s real name is Darrian Jimenez, and as his name suggests, he hails from Harlem’s Sugar Hill neighborhood, which famously held a key position in the advancements of both jazz and, decades later, hip-hop.
Ddot naturally started rapping at a young age, garnering profiles as early as last year before his 15th birthday. His musical calling card so far appears to be the single “Let Ha Go,” which dropped in April and has since accumulated 10 million-plus views on YouTube.
More recently, he teamed up with fellow teen sensation Luh Tyler for the Nicki Minaj-sampling dance anthem “3am In The Yams.”
He regularly shouts out Notti Osama, a close friend who was lost to gang violence, in his songs and is also closely associated with another emerging drill artist, DD Osama. The Harlem rapper has also apparently received co-signs from both Drake and Lil Durk, and is a fixture of YouTube podcasts and performance shows — which just means he’s likely only going to get more popular as he continues to work.
There’s a grouping of songs in Drake’s discography known as “timestamp songs.” These tracks all have one thing in common: Their titles include a time and a location. Here’s a list of all the timestamp songs Drake has release so far and a little bit about each.
“9AM In Dallas”
The first of the timestamp songs, this one came out in 2010, shortly before the release of Thank Me Later. The Boi-1da-produced track was apparently recorded the day the rest of the album was being mastered, so despite him wanting it to be the album’s intro, that didn’t end up working out.
“5AM In Toronto”
Like its predecessor, “9AM In Dallas” was released during the lead-up to an album, this time Nothing Was The Same. Notably, this one has lyrics that are believed to be about beef with The Weeknd: “‘Cause I show love, never get the same outta n****s / Guess it’s funny how money can make change outta n****s.”
“6PM In New York”
This one appeared on If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and it’s pretty clearly sees Drake going after Tyga: “I heard a lil, lil homie talking reckless in Vibe / That’s quite a platform you chose, you should’ve kept it inside / Oh, you tried? It’s so childish calling my name on the world stage / You need to act your age and not your girl’s age.”
“4PM In Calabasas”
Continuing to use the timestamp songs as a diss platform on 2016’s “4PM In Calabasas.” Among the targets is Joe Budden: “I thought we looked out for one another / Saw us all as brothers in the struggle, too blessed to be humble / I guess it’s different in the city I come from / All the sudden, I got people showing how much they truly resent me / They whole demeanor just spells envy, they tryna tempt me.”
“7AM On Bridle Path”
On Certified Lover Boy cut “7AM On Bridle Path,” it’s pretty clear Drake’s going after Kanye West. There are too many examples to exhaustively list here, as lines that seemingly take aim at West are peppered throughout the verse.
The new song arrived early Thursday, October 5, exclusively on Drake’s Instagram page. Throughout, Drake name-drops the likes of 21 Savage (his It’s All A Blur Tourco-headliner), Central Cee, Shania Twain, T.D. Jakes, and Lauryn Hill, but it’s all in a playful light. In fact, there aren’t any explicit disses at all, but fans have a theory that the third verse is a veiled shot at Kanye West.
“Conspiracy theories start floatin’ ’round like the Kennedy guy,” Drake raps. “I’ll prolly hold a grudge against you guys ’til I’m seventy-five / Ayy, n****s lyin’ for a livin’, I couldn’t relate / We all gotta lay in the bed we make, but that couldn’t be Drake / You forced a lot of fake love when real ones stood in your face / That’s why you got deserted by your n****s like puddin’ and cake / I got you on camera bowin’ down, but the footage is safe / Thank God, another USB to put in the safe.”
On X (formerly known as Twitter), people have correlated these bars to a video of Drake bowing down to Ye after bringing him out as a guest during his Summer Sixteen Tour. There’s also the outside chance that the mention of “conspiracy theories” and “lyin’ for a livin’” is related to his beef with Pusha T and Ye that crescendoed in 2018 with the public reveal of Drake’s son, Adonis. (Is it a coincidence that the “8AM In Charlotte” video stars Adonis?)
Saying “I got you on camera bowing down but the footage is safe” while we got you on camera bowing down to Kanye multiple times is insane pic.twitter.com/KzI81gFThJ
look i don’t mind drake and kanye hating each other but they don’t need to do constant reminders nigga we know we don’t need updates on it 5 years later
Drake has to be the pettiest person alive. Once again he dissed Kanye on his new song
“You forced a lot of fake love on real ones, stood in your face That’s why you got deserted by your niggas, like pudding and cake I got you on camera bowing down, but the footage is safe Thank… pic.twitter.com/7IilgEBVRf
At any rate, Lil Yachty teased that Drake “deals with some controversial things” across For All The Dogs, and “8AM In Charlotte” might fall under that umbrella.

Tristan Thompson got real on the latest episode of The Kardashians, discussing how he fears his past might lead his kids to be embarrassed to have him as a dad. “True’s understanding stuff. Prince understands things. They go to school and they have classmates. The last thing I want them to do is ever feel embarrassed that I’m their father,” Thompson told Khloé Kardashian, who is the mother of two of his children. It appears that a lot of Thompson’s fear stems from his long history of infidelity, as well as the fact that he has four children with three women.
However, Kardashian had some pearls of wisdom for her suffering ex. “Just remember, you’re not your past. Your past doesn’t define you. Moving forward, hold yourself in a way that you will be proud of. Or if your kids read something about you, you’re going to be proud of that. Your legacy, what you want to leave behind, is way greater than what the world has been exposed to,” she told Thompson. While Kardashian and Thompson are no longer together, they did welcome a second child via surrogate last year.
The conversation comes a week after Thompson hit his ex with a stunning revelation. Thompson blindsided Kardashian with an impromptu declaration that he still cares deeply about her. “I’ve done so many wrong things, why [did I] put you through that? You’re my person.” Kardashian didn’t immediately respond to the comment and still looked stunned when a producer how she felt about what Thompson said.
Thompson and Kardashian’s romance dates back to 2016. However, things fell apart after Thompson was caught cheating on Kardashian with multiple women during her pregnancy. Despite this, the pair have remained close and co-parented their two children. Earlier this year, Thompson and his brother stayed with Kardashian following damage to their mother’s house.
It’s kind of hilarious to see how a video from over 15 years ago can still spark so much debate and criticism of a couple’s current life. Moreover, that’s exactly what’s happening to Beyonce and Jay-Z right now, stemming from a resurfaced clip of a 2006 birthday toast from Bey to Jay. “This is nothing compared to what you’ve done for me,” she began her heartfelt message. “Not only me, but everybody here. You taught me how to be a woman. You’ve given me so much in life. It’s not enough I can give you. I just want you to be happy, and every year, I’m even more in love with you.“
So then, you might be asking, where’s the debate coming from? Well, many folks on social media and beyond criticized Beyonce for saying that Jay-Z taught her how to be a woman. “Why did your man teach you instead of your own mother?” was a popular reaction to this. Still, many came to the Texas native’s defense, including City Girl Yung Miami. “Because your MAN brings out the best in you,” she commented under Instagram coverage of the clip. “They teach you things that you didn’t know about yourself, especially when they’re older!”
Of course, it’s unlikely that either superstar will respond to this discussion, but it’s still raging on via sites like Twitter (now X). A big aspect of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s relationship to many in this context is their age difference (about 11 years), which a lot of people don’t look fondly on. Still, plenty of others said that this is too out of context, and that it’s normal for any partner to feel like more like themselves when taking care of their other half. Also, it’s not like they do everything together, and have kept their professional careers somewhat detached from their personal life as a couple.
Twitter Reacts To This 2006 Clip
With all this in mind, do you think Yung Miami was right to defend the RENAISSANCE icon? Conversely, is this something that downplays the impact of women in her life? Let us know what you think in the comments down below. For more news and the latest updates on Beyonce and Jay-Z, check back in with HNHH.
Drake’s highly anticipated new album For All The Dogs is due to arrive tonight after months of teasing. A few weeks ago he delivered a major single release for fans when he collaborated with SZA on “Slime You Out.” Fans rewarded the pair by streaming the song so much that it shot directly to number one on the Hot 100 with its debut. Though it dropped outside of the top 10 in its second week there is clearly still plenty of hype for the song and the album it’s building towards.
Overnight Drake surprised fans once again. He took to social media to share a new song and an entire music video to go with it. The newest song in his timestamp series “8AM In Charlotte” and its expansive music video hit the internet last night. As a part of the video, the rapper talked to his song Adonis about the drawing he did for the For All The Dogs album cover. The first reveal he made that surprised fans was that the album cover doesn’t actually feature a dog. “So, the goat was running away from the other monsters and the other animals,” Adonis begins. Check out his entire explanation below.
Adonis continued his explanation. “A flower blocking the way. So, the flower is on fire. The racing car was maybe helping the goat. And there was some stairs, like some jail stairs. And there was one person who was, like, on top. And he got killed by the stick, by the track.” After that, Drake brings up the the imagery of his name next to a goat and his son agrees. “”So it’s daddy Goat,” Adonis claims.
Another thing fans picked up on in the new song is lyrics that could be a Kanye diss. While Drake tiptoes around the issue and doesn’t deal in many specifics, listeners online have been connecting the dots. What do you think of Adonis’ explanation of the For All The Dogs album cover? Let us know in the comment section below.
Floyd Mayweather really put the “money” in “Money Man” this week as he surprised his friend with a watch worth $250K. “The Money Man is back. I’m right here with my main man, Shuki. We in L.A., ballin’ out. This watch right here is going to Shuki. One of my custom pieces. Money Man, y’all know the rest,” Mayweather said in a video shared on social media. The piece is a white diamond and gold piece straight out of Mayweather’s personal collection.
Of course, Mayweather’s friends aren’t the only ones who benefit from his generosity. Back in August, Mayweather personally paid for 68 families to fly from Maui to Honolulu following devastating wildfires. He also covered hotel tabs for the families, as well as providing food tabs and clothing hauls while they recover from the tragedy. He reportedly worked with the clothing retailer H&M to achieve the latter of those goals. Mayweather declined to comment when approached by TMZ. While he confirmed the report, he stated that he was not looking to garner additional attention.
However, things are much less pleasant for people who aren’t Mayweather’s friends. Back in August, streamer Adin Ross tried to hang with Mayweather, only to get his ego harshly checked. “Where’s my check? Can’t be filming me for free,” Mayweather can be heard saying with a laugh. “I ain’t go no money, bro, I’m broke. I want to get money, like you,” Ross responds. However, Mayweather immediately called cap on that, referring to Ross’ contract with Kick, “My boy here saying that you got that NBA money,” Mayweather says. This refers to the rumors that Kick signed Ross to a two-year, $150 million deal. Kick’s founder, Trainwrecks, claims that this number is false. “Not that NBA money, bro…” Ross replied, trying to deflect. The background noise makes it hard to hear the rest of the conversation but Mayweather appears to bring up Charleston White. “I got a problem with him, I don’t mess with him,” Ross quickly says. “Dude said he wanted to r-word my sister.”
Meanwhile, Mayweather also showed up on Crazy In Love, sparring with Blueface. However, much to the disappointment to many viewers, Mayweather went easy on the rapper. Furthermore, the 50-0 legend even went as far as to give Blueface “two free shots for TV”.
Drake just released a surprise single on Instagram, “8AM In Charlotte,” and the timestamp song unsurprisingly contained some standout bars for fans that caused a lot of conversation. Of course, the most obvious example of these is people fishing for Kanye West disses on this track, which appear subliminally but in a way that’s hard to ignore. Still, other fans instead focused on a huge development in these lyrics. Moreover, he confirmed that 21 Savage got a green card, seemingly bringing an end to his years-long struggles with immigration agencies in the United States. “Savage got a green card straight out of the consulate,” Drizzy rapped. “Where I go, you go, brother, we Yugoslavian.”
For those unaware, the Atlanta trap star was actually born in the United Kingdom, and was detained by ICE in 2019 for issues stemming from a years-long expired visa, plus alleged discovery of firearms and codeine whose criminal nature delayed the immigration case amid the pandemic. It’s a tangled and complicated web, and one that quite unjustly targeted someone who lived his whole life in the States and began to make an impactful career and raise a family there. Regardless, it’s heartening to hear that 21 Savage seemingly put these issues behind him, even if we heard it from Drake and not from him own mouth. It means that he will finally be able to move as he pleases, not just travel-wise, but for all his career ambitions and personal needs.
Furthermore, this was also something that heavily affected their joint tour, It’s All A Blur, this year. For example, Travis Scott and J. Colereplaced 21 Savage for the Canada dates of their tour, since he couldn’t go past U.S. borders. Still, Drake and 21 managed to give fans amazing performances and chemistry despite these roadblocks, and it’s clear this didn’t hamper their determination to make it something special. In fact, it convinced them that they had to work that much harder. It’s also interesting because the duo has two shows in Canada this weekend, so maybe 21 will pop out for the release celebration of Aubrey Graham’s album For All The Dogs.
Meanwhile, apparently TMZ confirmed with the Dekalb Co. Clerk, who managed the immigration case, that they closed it. It will be interesting to see what the “Glock In My Lap” MC will be able to do now with these restrictions vanishing. We’re sure that there’s still some leftover logistical hoops to jump through, and that this struggle doesn’t end so simply. But it looks like he’s on the right path, and it’s a freedom he’s deserved for a long time. For more news and updates on Drake and 21 Savage, stick around on HNHH.
Actor Tyson Beckford has said that Rihanna would be his dream life performance for Dancing With The Stars. Furthermore, he even teased that he might try to make it a reality this season. “I know her people,” he told Billboard this week. The show has a reputation for pulling out famous faces for occasion performances on the show, especially in the later weeks. Rihanna would be an absolutely massive grab for the show.
Beckford is currently starring on the dance competition’s 32nd second season. He is partnered with Jenna Johnson, a seasoned veteran of the show who has won the show once and finished second twice. They had a rough first week, and finished with a joint-lowest score of 12. However, the pair bounced back in Week 2, improving to a score of 18. The early emerging favorites in the current season are actress Xochitl Gomez and former Bachelorette Charity Lawson. Season 31 was won by social media star Charli D’Amelio.
Jamie Lynn Spears Eliminated From Dancing With The Stars
While Beckford may be one the rise, Jamie Lynn Spears was the latest celeb to be eliminated from the show. The actress and sister of Britney was eliminated during the second week of Season 32. Spears and her partner Alan Bersten posted a respectable 16 for their Cha-Cha. However, they still found themselves in the bottom two alongside former NFL running back Adrian Peterson. They just didn’t have the public votes and Spears was sent home. Peterson’s samba had earned him a 15 from the judges. The judges were fairly shocked by Spears’ exit, having praised her performance and improvement from week one.
Latin Week had proven to be a mixed bag. While most couples improved, there was still a week-low of 12 points for Mauricio Umansky. Meanwhile, two couples set a new season-high with 24 points. Xochitl Gomez scored 24 for her samba while Jason Mraz scored the same with his rumba. Also breaking 20 points were Lele Pons, Charity Lawson, and Ariana Madix. Next week, the show will have its first Motown Week of the season.

Now Tamar is clearing things up and reveals JR broke up with her the day she was robbed.
