Sundays used to be for watching Blueface and Chrisean Rock play out their toxic relationship on Zeus’ Cr*zy In Love. Now that the second season has wrapped, however, the streamer is bringing back Natalie Nunn’s Baddies East. A star-studded cast of women like Sukihana, Rollie Pollie, Woah Vicky, and many more appear this fall. The first episode aired earlier in September. Since then, we’ve seen plenty of fights – both physical and verbal – play out on the small screen.
Tomorrow (October 1), the Baddies cast members react to their new house on the series. Elsewhere, things get heated between Rock and Vicky. As you may recall, the latter pressed assault charges against the former after their altercation. However, producers maintain that things never became physical between the pregnant woman and her co-star. It’s never shocking to find Chrisean at the centre of a messy situation, but in the preview below, her sister Tesehki proves that the dramatic gene runs in their family with a blowout of her own.
“I only stepped into your sister’s beef because I was trying to protect her,” Nunn declared during a heated conversation with Rock and her sister. At this point, something is thrown at the head Baddie and she insists that it’s time for Tesehki to “get off [her] show.” As security attempts to remove the outraged woman, she screams, “This is my show! That’s why you’re scared. Get the f**k off me.”
Chrisean Rock isn’t perfect, but she may have been right when she expressed concerns about Tesehki joining the Baddies East cast earlier this season. Some have been speculating that the new mother simply doesn’t want to share the spotlight with her family for selfish reasons, but as she told Natalie Nunn, it’s also because she wanted to protect herself from physical violence during her pregnancy. She’s well aware of how easily Tesehki can be set off, as we’ll see on this weekend’s episode of BaddiesEast on Zeus. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the comments.
Louisiana rapper NBA Youngboy is probably the most prolific artist in the game right now. Just a couple of days ago, he put out “Testimony,” including a YouTube video for it. The track was popping off in just a few short hours with it in the top five on the music trending page. YB’s fans are extremely loyal and extreme in general. The man can do wrong in their eyes. But, at least he knows that he will always have people wanting more from him.
In “Testimony” he appears to diss YouTuber Trap Lore Ross with this bar. “Real gangster or a fake killer? tell em “f*** with us.” A lot of rappers include a lyric like this in some way, but it has fans guessing it is a diss because of Ross’ video. He covers a lot of rappers’ alleged affiliations with gangs and did on YB called YoungBoy: Real Killer or Fake Gangster? Now, he might be sending more strays toward someone else on “Heard Of Me.” HipHopNMore has some extra details on the song below.
Some of Youngboy’s Instagram followers are making loose connections that he is sending shots back at J. Cole. Cole and Lil Yachty dropped a song called “The Secret Recipe.” Listeners were claiming that parts of Cole’s verse were in response to an NBA track “F**k The Industry, Pt. 2.” One YB fan commented under his IG post announcing “Heard Of Me,” saying, “Yb better than j col way better.” Another says, “N**** responded super quick.” However, Cole’s manager claims there were shots fired, but that is not quelling any speculations.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand new song, “Heard Of Me,” from NBA Youngboy? Is this the better song over “Testimony?” Do you think this was a response to J. Cole’s “diss” towards him? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. There are a lot of powerhouse female vocalists holding down the R&B genre, but music lovers have long been waiting for a new album from Jorja Smith. The U-born beauty returned this New Music Friday (September 29) with 16 stunning songs on her falling or flying album. It marks her first full-length effort since 2018’s Lost & Found, which put her on the map thanks to songs like “Don’t Watch Me Cry” and “Blue Lights.”
Smith collaborated with only two other artists across 16 songs. The first guest appearance comes from J Hus on “Feelings.” Following that, we hear from Lila Ike on “Greatest Gift.” Prior to dropping off falling or flying, the 26-year-old gave her fans a taste of what she’s been cooking up with singles like “Little Things,” “Try Me,” and “GO GO GO.”
In an interview with Elle, Smith reflected on how things have changed from her Lost & Found days to now. “I was at the end of being a teenager. I was probably more confident then, I didn’t really care as much. Now, I probably care more about things. I feel the pressure more, I think. Before, I didn’t. Not with my music, but just about what people think of me and s**t. I’m trying to be more of that person, so hopefully I’ll get back like that,” she explained.
Get a sample of what Jorja Smith has to offer on her falling or flying album by streaming “Feelings” above. If you’re a fan of that, you can find the full LP on Spotify/Apple Music. DJ Vlad has claimed that he refused numerous requests from law enforcement to cooperate with them in their investigation into Duane “Keefe D” Davis. Keefe D was interviewed multiple times by VladTV. During those interviews, he spoke at length about his involvement in the murder of Tupac Shakur. However, Vlad himself refused to help, stating that his platform would not be used to incarcerate its guests.
Furthermore, Vlad revealed that there was little to no cut footage from his interviews with Keefe. Practically everything they recorded together is publicly available and there are no hidden secrets on the floor of the editing room. Vlad implied that the cops were wasting their time trying to get at his cut footage. Additionally, Vlad said he was willing to hold his position of non-compliance. He would not budge, even if it meant facing subpoenas or other legal consequences.
Meanwhile, Keefe D, who was arrested on September 29, is reportedly being held without bail and will be formally arraigned on October 4. Davis is accused of ordering 2Pac’s murder. “Duane Davis was the shot caller for this group of individuals that committed this crime and he orchestrated the plan that was carried out,” Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Jason Johansson told reporters. In his own memoir, Davis claims to have provided the gun that killed Tupac. Additionally, he has stated on numerous occasions that the man who pulled the trigger was his nephew, Orlando Anderson. However, Anderson died in an unrelated gang shooting in 1998.
Davis has been charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon. He also refused to speak with the media after his arrest. Furthermore, Davis has been the primary focus of the investigation for several months. Additionally, the arrest comes after efforts to resolve the case were renewed earlier this year. Given his willingness to publicly speak about the case, few are surprised that Davis was arrested and charged with murder.
Brittany Renner’s 35-person body count shocked Shannon Sharpe in a recent interview, and prompted a lot of thirsty or outraged reactions online. Many just lusted after her, while others criticized her apparent promiscuity and said this shouldn’t be a championed trait. Regardless of where you fall on that spectrum, it’s fair to say that the “Basketball Wives” star’s choices don’t warrant attacks on her. Moreover, Lil Duval and Maino are the latest celebrities to come to her defense online. Their remarks basically blast people overreacting to this number and differentiated flings from long-run relationships.
“If y’all think having sex with 35 people is a lot y’all gon swear I’m suppose to be dead from a disease [crying-laughing emojis],” Lil Duval tweeted on Thursday afternoon (September 28). That’s a similar sentiment to what Plies had to say about Brittany Renner. “35 Ain’t That Many!!” the rapper expressed on Twitter. “That’s Like $35 Worth Of Gas Bih!! That’s Just A 1/4 Tank Of Gas!!!! Shiiiddddd U Got A lot Left!!!!!! 35 That’s A In The Middle Number!! That Like Being 35 Years Old! U In Your Prime Bih!!! [laughing emojis].”
On the other hand, Maino told TMZ that the slut-shaming the 31-year-old has faced is completely unreasonable. In fact, the hip-hop artist and media personality took advantage of the opportunity to shoot his shot and say he’s down to be number 36. Player moves aside, though, he said that people criticizing Brittany Renner are just insecure about their own sexuality and don’t know how to put marriage and one-time things around. That being said, she did express frustration with half her relationship history being with one-night stands, so there’s understandably more complex emotions at play around this from the Mississippi native.
Maino’s Thoughts
Meanwhile, we’re sure that plenty more people will react to all this and give their take. Hopefully, once the hype dies down a little bit, we can listen to what Renner’s actually saying and not just focus on a number. After all, there’s a whole interview to break down with Sharpe here, and a body count defines no one. For more news and updates on Brittany Renner, Lil Duval, and Maino, come back to HNHH.
Lil Reese recently spoke about his alleged “beef” with Kanye West after Kanye cut his verse from the 2012 remix of “I Don’t Like”. “Nah, I’m not hating on it. I just want to know, like damn, why he ain’t put my part on there type shit. Like, I’m from Chicago, you from Chicago,” Reese told Adam22 and No Jumper. Furthermore, Reese says he’s never asked Kanye about it. “No, hell no. I ain’t never talked to him, ask him that. But I’m sure he heard about me saying that and he know. He know that shit.” Meanwhile, Adam joked that Kanye likely “can’t remember that part of his life anyway.”
The remix of “Don’t Like” featured Kanye and several other big-name artists in the place of Reese. The original had served as Chief Keef’s debut single and peaked at #73 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the song went platinum, as did the remix. Meanwhile, Keef was serving a house arrest sentence when the remix came out.
Elsewhere, Reese has been vocal about a few other issues. During his No Jumper interview, Reese was asked to speak on videos of funeral attendees pouring Lean onto the casket of Fredo Santana. “I seen that goofy ass shit. I don’t know who was doing that.” Furthermore, Reese denied being part of the group that did it. “No hell no. I won’t do no goofy ass shit like that,” Reese told Adam22.
However, Reese also refused to believe rumors that Chief Keef was part of the group doing it. “Nah, Sosa ain’t do that. Sosa ain’t gonna do nothing like that. Yeah, I don’t respect that shit. I seen that shit, I don’t respect that shit though.” Additionally, Reese spoke on his history with the narcotic. “I used to be doing that shit with Fredo. That shit started making me feel a little funny,” he explained.
SZA’s voice is a force to be reckoned with, but at her core, the Ctrl songbird is a sensitive soul. Like every other artist, she’s subject to near-constant criticism both online and in person. Even with all the feats she’s achieved in her career so far, SZA struggles with insecurity every now and then, which only becomes heightened when she crosses paths with negativity directed toward her. Earlier this week, TikTok user @vadellor shared a video breaking down their experience DMing with the black-haired beauty. While the OP seemed to think their video painted SZA in an unflattering light, it’s actually her who’s feeling the heat for gaslighting the starlet.
“How I live knowing that one of the biggest music artists of the decade personal hate DM’d me for an hour straight,” @vadellor wrote on her screen at the start of the over-three-minute-long post. The creator explained that, while at the SOS Tour, they decided to recreate the “SZA Wack” meme which previously went viral for criticizing the “Slime You Out” collaborators vocals. While the teen thought it was nothing more than a joke, SZA took the photo far more personally. “I don’t think you realize how f**ked up that actually is and how hurtful it was back then and how it RUINED my confidence and desire to perform live,” the 33-year-old vented in her hater’s comments.
At this point, @vadellor admitted she was embarassed, and quickly deleted the comment. In her DMs, she found a message from SZA reading, “Not okay.” In response, the TikToker wrote, “Sorry it was just a joke.” A few hours later, the “Drew Barrymore” artist returned with more to say. “Lmao and you kept it up? After I told you how that made me feel as a human being? For laughs? Take care love . Thank you for coming.”
In true Scorpio fashion, SZA couldn’t leave it at that. Upon realizing that the OP took down her comment, she typed out another paragraph. “Before I block you, I just wanna remind you, Imma PERSON. Like, I have feelings and a life and anxiety like anyone else and it’s really hard to have courage to grt up on stage and even wanna do my job,” she shared.
Keep scrolling to see what people are saying about the TikTok creator’s tense interaction with SZA. Do you think the TDE artist is unreasonable for being in her feelings over the “wack” post? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
Eclectic Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert is already on their way to dropping more projects. It has only been three months since they put out their first project in three years with Pink Tape. Although quite a decent audience was not really feeling Uzi’s blends of rage, trap, and metal, fans are still chomping at the bit. So much so, that two more are expected to be hitting streaming, hopefully, in the coming months.
Uzi has teased the Barter 16 and third installment in the Luv Is Rage relentlessly. Whether it be at concerts or on social media, they are promising it will be soon. In the meantime, we have a new single, which according to Genius, is expected to land on Luv Is Rage 3. “NFL,” which stands for “Never Fall In Luv,” gives us a good idea of how a fair amount of the project will sound. HipHopNMore caught wind of the song dropping.
In addition to the song, they have also put together some visuals for it. On YouTube, it is already number 10 on trending in music, with over 585,000 views. Uzi is using an interesting flow and video game-esque beat, which they are no stranger to. They first gave fans notice that a song would be dropping a couple of days ago on their Instagram. “NFL vid30 0N Th3 W@Y [goat emoji] (never fall in luv) [broken heart emoji.” Fans are already digging the song and you can check it out for yourself above.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand new single, “NFL,” from Lil Uzi Vert? Based on how this sounds, will Luv Is Rage 3 be a better listen than Pink Tape? When do you think Uzi will put out this sequel? Is Barter 16 much farther away from coming out? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the hottest song releases, as well as the rest of the latest breaking news around the music world.

An artist’s breakthrough album is arguably their most important because of the pivotal role it plays in their career. It may not be their magnum opus, but it definitely leaves an unforgettable impact on their life moving forward. For iconic rapper Jay-Z, that album is his third solo album, Vol2 … Hard Knock Life.
It evidently played a huge role in the rapper’s rise to superstardom, and 25 years later, it is certainly one of his most iconic albums. In many ways, Vol2 is the real genesis of Jay-Z’s monumental legacy in the commercial eye. His chart-topping success and massive impact on the Hip Hop industry can be traced right back to this album. Vol 2… Hard Knock Life turns 25 this year, and even now, remains a timeless and experimental Hip Hop album.
At the time of the album’s release, Jay-Z had already gained recognition in the Hip Hop industry. His first two albums, Reasonable Doubt (1996), and In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 (1997) were acclaimed upon release. However, Vol2 catapulted Jay-Z to mainstream commercial success. The album was released on September 29, 1998, and was a hit as soon as it hit the airwaves. Most importantly, he could no longer be ignored in debates discussing the new rap giants in the Hip Hop scene, even in a year that saw DMX release back-to-back #1 albums, Black Star dropped their seminal debut, Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill topped the charts, and Outkast released Aquemini.
On Vol2, Jay-Z featured production from renowned producers, including Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Stevie J, and Jermaine Dupri. This varied lineup of geniuses contributed to the album’s diverse sound. It was a rich mix of production talents, and their collective musical creativity built the album up to be what it is, sonically. Furthermore, their contributions to the success of the album cannot be overemphasized. They shaped the project and brought Jay-Z’s musical ideas to life. Samples and interpolations are heavily used in the album’s production, and they play a significant role in creating the album’s unique sonic landscape. Several tracks on Vol 2 employ samples. However, the most notable of all the tracks on the album is “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)” which heavily samples the song “It’s The Hard Knock Life” from the Broadway musical, Annie.
Vol 2 is a 14-track album, and Jay-Z enlisted a diverse lineup of guest appearances on 12 of its tracks. One of its featured artists is Memphis Bleek, who appears on three different tracks. Other notable names on the project include: DMX, Foxy Brown, and Ja Rule. Jay-Z released four singles from Vol 2, including “Can I Get A…,” “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem),” “Money, Cash, Hoes,” and “N***a What, N***a Who (Originator 99).” The most successful single was “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem),” which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The album was also a massive commercial success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and staying on top for five consecutive weeks. It was Jay-Z’s first album to debut atop the charts. Vol 2 went on to sell over six million units, and as such, has been certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA. It received mostly positive reviews from fans and critics, and at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, won the award for Best Rap Album.
While it was Jay-Z’s first of many Grammy wins, he was not in attendance to receive his award. It was later revealed that he famously snubbed the Grammys in 1999 due to the Academy failing to nominate DMX. He also believed the Grammys were constantly disrespecting the genre. Since then, there have been significant changes, and Jay-Z is the most Grammy-nominated artist ever.
Upon its release, “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)” became a cultural touchstone, transcending the Hip Hop genre and resonating with a wide audience. Additionally, Vol2… Hard Knock Life, marked a crucial moment, not just for Jay-Z, but for the evolution of Hip Hop. The album is a seminal body of work that set a precedent for many subsequent Hip Hop artists and albums. Overall, it is undeniably a classic rap album, and in another 25 years, will still be regarded as such.
Maralee Nichols melted hearts this week with an adorable set of pictures of bedtime with her son. Nichols, who shares a son with NBA player Tristan Thompson, shared pictures of her and Theo getting ready for bed. In the pictures, posted to Nichols’ Instagram story, she is seen with reading with the 21-month-old before cradling a sleeping Theo against her chest in another photo. Furthermore, it appears that Nichols is giving Theo a headstart on his faith. In the reading photo, they can be seen reading a page of a book entitled “Awesome God”.
Theo was born in December 2021 and was confirmed to be Thompson’s after Nichols filed a paternity suit in an effort to receive child support. Nichols, who is best known as a fitness influencer, has shared several glimpses into her life with Theo. In the past, they’ve been to zoos and farmer’s markets together. Theo is Thompson’s third child. Overall, Thompson has four children with three women.
Tristan Thompson Declares Khloe Kardashian To Be “His Person”
Meanwhile, Tristan Thompson appears to be shooting his shot with Khloe Kardashian again. Thompson blindsided Khloé Kardashian on the latest episode of The Kardashians with an impromptu declaration that he still cares deeply about her. “I’ve done so many wrong things, why [did I] put you through that? You’re my person.” Kardashian didn’t immediately respond to the comment and still looked stunned when a producer how she felt about what Thompson said.
Thompson and Kardashian’s romance dates back to 2016. However, things fell apart after Thompson was caught cheating on Kardashian with multiple women during her pregnancy. Despite this, the pair have remained close and co-parented their two children. Earlier this year, Thompson and his brother stayed with Kardashian following damage to their mother’s house. We’re not permitted to post the images of Nichols and her son directly on HotNewHipHop, but if you’d like to see them, you can do so by clicking the Via link below.
